This electric RockJam Interactive Teaching Piano Keyboard was a Christmas gift for my five almost six year old daughter it came in a very large and heavy brown box with the words RockJam on the outside of box, i wasn’t too worried as she d probably think there was a huge rock and pot of jam in box, as the box was too large and heavy it remained in my hallway, till Christmas eve it was well package and packed out in places in box to stop any movement within.
Once the keyboard came out i was taken aback by its size and felt a little over whelmed by all the control buttons above the keyboard it took less than half hour to assemble the frame and add keyboard to it just above the control buttons is a stand for placing your music book/sheets, it also came with a nice little headphone set so much little one can play to her hearts content..also came with a nice sturdy little fold out stool.
So Christmas morning there was much joy and laughter as she did her own thing playing the keys and adding different tunes she even worked out how to record her music,at one time i heard her playing away and i went into the lounge to tell her how amazing she was she sat at keyboard and beamed the biggest smile at me,then just leaving the room she got up from the keyboard to follow me out of room ..only then did i realise she hadn’t been playing after all it was a setting she d put it on.
Once assemble complete i was pretty amazed by the whole set up, so far so good up date to be added at later date.

This is really good! My daughter has been using it for over a year and for us it’s brilliant when she plugs in the headphones!!! Easy to set up and the sound quality is good. Lots of features. Good value for money

Great fun for little people who love to play
Really lovely set and my daughter (10) love it. The headphone mean she can sit there creating music till her hearts content and the sticky labels to show the notes mean that she can work her way through the beginners keyboard books independently.

The performance to cost ratio of this keyboard is astoundingly high. The piano is quite realistic sounding, as are a lot of the many other voices this keyboard produces. It has many sophisticated features such as keyboard splitting. It also has percussive facilities as well as many pre-loaded demo tunes. The LCD display is an excellent aid to learning to play, as notes come up on both a graphical representation of the keyboard as well as a ‘point’ on a graphical stave. The overall quality of the instrument, its height-adjustable stand, and the stool are amazingly high for the price point. It certainly isn’t a toy. This is the second one we have bought for a grandchild, and would recommend the product unreservedly as a serious aid to learning to play without breaking the bank.

Organ lasted just under a year b4 the on off button stopped working. I called Amazon and they picked up the old 1 and replaced it within 2 days so i will say well done Amazon. The perfect birthday gift!
We purchased this for our 8-year-olds birthday. It was super simple to put together and for the money, it’s extremely well made. It did not feel like it would fall apart. Everything was held together with thumbscrews, so no need for any tools.
Our son loves it. You get stickers which show the key both in letter and musical form. The tone of the keyboard is very nice and the addition of a foot pedal and headphones is a really nice touch
If you want to get a beginner to intermediate keyboard and are mindful of price then this should definitely be a consideration!

Bought for my daughter who has shown great piano playing skills on a phone app with limited keys. This blew her away, she was so very happy to receive this gift. Easy to set up, open the box, take it out, put the stand and stool/seat together (both very easy), fix the keyboard to the stand (so it doesn’t slip off), plug it in and start playing. Looks very nice lit up with the blue screen which shows you what instrument you are playing. Lots of combinations of instruments, backing, beats, noises, clapping, various other noises and sounds so you can really get creative and have lots of musical fun. Longer sound with use of the pedal. Headphones plug in nicely. One good thing is that the piano sound is a lovely piano sound, not like an electric piano, sounds like a nice real piano. The keys have a nice bounce to them. You can record ONE song/play of your music and play it back. We really do like it a lot.
I bought this as a present for my son’s birthday to replace an old (and much used) mini keyboard. Arrived promptly and was easy to assemble. The inclusion of stickers for the keys is excellent as it allows beginners to become familiar with note placement. The large range of sounds and beats is fab. My son spends hours playing around and composing backing tracks for his ipad movies.
It’s not very heavy, and the stand it comes with whilst not completely immovable, is sturdy enough for childrens’ energetic playing style.
As an entry level keyboard this does what it needs to do, and will keep wannabe musicians tinkling for hours.

Sounds, other than piano and select organs, are not very realistic. Keys are not weighted or semi weighted but offer a good resistance and touch sensitivity.
Sustain pedal, bench and stand are a nice bonus.

For a beginner these keyboards are fantastic. Why would you want to spend loads on something you might not be able to get the hang of? They sound decent enough, not perfect but more than good enough to learn on. The stool is of very good quality, and the headphones do the job. I would strongly recommend buying these for a beginner.

My 10year old who is learning to play the piano absolutely loves this product. It sounds great, I love the headphones (we all get some peace and he loves to practise!). The chair is firm and sturdy, I would recommend, just bear in mind that it is a rather large and bulky item.
My musical 15 year old wants to teach himself keyboards and so have bought him this for Christmas. He set it up very easily and has been really impressed with it so far. Particularly likes that it has a sustain pedal, touch screen style controls and comes with a stool. Sound isn’t bad – that is my only criticism – but for the price, very good value for money. Have just ordered some removable note stickers to help him learn the notes more quickly. Would certainly recommend for beginners.

Bought this for my daughter’s 8th Birthday. She’s just started piano lessons and she really loves this. Often she’ll disappear and go to her room and reappear about 20 mins later and I know she’s been practicing on it – it comes with headphones and a nice comfy stool so it encourages one to play as soon as you wake up with the headphones being an added bonus so as to not wake the rest of the house – great buy!

Really good piano. Sound is slightly tinny but easy to ignore as a beginner. Easy to assemble, and stand/seat are really useful as didn’t have to purchase separately. Cable isn’t very long, but only a slight inconvenience.
When i first ordered it i had my doubts on the material and sound quality. Fortunately i was wrong. Amazing value for money. The stool and base are very good quality. The Keyboard seems well made as well. I love the sounds and the sustain, dual keyboard functions really enhances the sound quality. There are loads more things to do but haven’t gotten around to all yet.
I got this for my kid (which he loved by the way) and end up playing by myself.
Only negative is that the free lessons are only for ipads so you will have to download another app for Android..
This is a spectacular product. Exceptional value. The slightly weighted keys are the best feature, hence it is a piano keyboard: the best of both worlds, with no real downside. The kit with this is top class. Mostly made up with very minimal assembly of keyboard to the stand. The earphones are A1. The stool and stand are great quality. I also had a slight issue with the back of the mains adapter coming off slightly, but it goes back on and works fine. Amazing set, all together fantastic, at a reasonable price for everything you get.

The first one stopped working in the 1st 24hours, speakers sound went in headphones as well as speakers!! 2nd arrived 2 days later giving me lots of time to return the broken – great customer service there!!
This is a really good keyboard however!!! There appears to be some interference if my phone is next to it, this particularly sucks when we’re looking on you tube to try and learn how to play a song!! Which also means the app that we get the voucher for would just be an annoyance!!
If you don’t need any of that stuff around it the keyboard is great my daughter loves it!! The stand and seat are brilliant both feel secure and strong! But really simple and easy to set up!
It’s early days (daughter’s Christmas present), but this Keyboard looks and sounds great. Multiple functions and tones are available. There’s a built-in tutor and demos, and the item came with a 25 card to get a tutorial through my i-pad. The stand and stool seem sturdy enough. And the supplied headphones will be a welcome relief to the rest of the family!
Kids loved it but adaptor has just stoped working need to get in touch with supplier before guarantee runs out which is very short.

Good keyboard for a little girl!
Good sturdy keyboard. Arrived well packaged and on them. The headphones are a blessing.
Not the greatest keyboard in the world but a good starter kit with the stool, headphones and stand. My wife had mentioned she wanted to learn to play the piano or the drums so i figured i would get her one as a fun B’day present. Overall pretty impressed. and the teach mode seems to be quite decent, she was playing a tune a few hours after it came out of the box
I have started “keyboard for Beginners” so wanted something reasonably priced to start on. In the classes I’m using a Yamaha PSR E313, which I believe is an older model, I bought the RockJam to practice on at home.
I ordered from Amazon Warehouse, the item was noted as having cosmetic damage to the packaging and this was accurate, there is slight damage to the outside of the cardbaord box but it was still factory sealed and the content is brand new and unmarked. The money saved on buying a warehouse item was spent on next-day delivery and yes, delivered promptly. I’ve had it for about a week now.
It took me about 10 minutes to get the boxes open and assemble everything. I’m 194cm tall and weight 98kg, so I was worried that the stool might be flimsy but it’s nice and sturdy, I could easily adjust it to be a bit higher. The keyboard stand is fine, though you wouldn’t want to play too vigourously or it might topple over.
The keyboard itself is quite OK for my beginner’s practice and for the money is spot-on. The sound through the speakers might be a bit tinny, but I’m always using the headphones – no-one else want to hear me tinking away! I would say that I can tell the difference between the piano tones on the RockJam and the Yamaha – the latter has a much more authentic sound. I think th main issue I have with the RockJam is that it only takes the slightest pressure on a key to produce a note – so you have to be careful to keep fingers off the keyboard, compared with the Yamaha where you need to press the keys down to get a note, more like a real piano.
If I decide that keyboards is not for me, well I haven’t spent too much money. If I decide to keep on with it then after a couple of years I’ll definitely want something with better note quality. Overall, very happy with the RJ661

I was looking to learn the piano and saw this. It comes exactly as in the picture (some assembly needed but it kind of went together without having to curse the inadequate instruction leaflet). The sound is very artificial – if you want a real piano you can probably get an upright locally very cheaply so nothing to really complain about there. However, the thing works well and it has an earphone socket for the benefit of your neighbours. The built in training programme is rubbish and the lcd is small. The sound is very electronic and the keyboard isn’t the same as a real piano – good enough though. I would recommend it to someone needing a cheap (and quiet!} introduction to the keyboard. If the kids (or your male menopause significant other) give up, then at least it hasn’t dented the bank balance too much.

I read the other reviews for this keyboard which were mostly good, I just wanted a keyboard to play on so I decided to buy this one It arrived the next day! I found it easy to erect, however there were no instructions to follow. I am so happy with it, it is the best thing I have bought to brush up on my piano skills which I have not played in years. Some people reviewed that the sound was not good, I have not noticed this, and for the price this has absolutely everything you need. I play every day and am really happy with it, I was a little worried as there are only 66 notes (not a full keyboard) but it doesn’t matter, you can play almost anything. It may not be adequate however for the advanced piano player who may need a full keyboard.

I would say if your a beginner you should get this piano keyboard and if your a beginner you should buy the stickers to so you no what note your pressing the stickers don’t come with this piano keyboard but you can buy them on amazon I really enjoy learning how to play new songs the stand is good but it don’t fold up the stool is really comfortable but after a hour or two it does start to feel uncomfortable but what I do is play on my piano keyboard till I start to feel uncomfortable siting on the stool to long then I do some thing else its good to have a break any way then I go back on my piano keyboard its really good fu

An excellent package

Parts are not perfect!
I set up the keyboard today (Christmas Day) and although seems fine the top bar is not as described and does not have the two holes (one each side) to connect e keyboard to the frame. Works fine but not 100% secure. Now trying to contact Amazon, but that is of course not straightforward.
I really love it!! My daughter 12 years old put it together in under 30 minutes, it has all the features for starters and pro too! It’s definitely keeping the kids entertain whilst giving then a lifetime skill too. I will definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to buy a keyboard

Fantastic quality for price paid, in fact much better than expected, even the stool & stand (which is height adjustable) are of excellent quality and very sturdy. My main reason for the purchase was so my 9yr old can practice using the piano tone (which is very realistic and there are more than one type of piano to choose from which is great). The keyboard itself is an ideal size, with solid, full size keys and my 9yr old learnt how to use it and what buttons to press to select the different tones etc. very easily, and the headphones are very useful too if she is playing in the lounge! I purchased removable key stickers to help her learn, which have also proved very useful. I would certainly recommend this product to anyone looking for a beginner quality keyboard, but it would also be more than adequate for someone who has a bit more experience too.
This arrived quickly and for the price includes quite a lot. Headphones are cheap sounding which can be expected and the stand is a bit weak. Also you can see that corners have been cut with the keyboard software, i.e. 100 different instrument sounds but a lot of them are all exactly the same (“string1” to “string 6” are all the same). That said, it plays very well and for the money is a great purchase. Easy to set up and sound is very good.
I bought this out of impulse to have a tinkle on plus learn to play something. The missus actually likes it too. I was surprised at how light the keyboard is compared to older ones I had handled before. The speakers themselves are pretty loud when on full volume which surprisingly is set at that level on default when turning the keyboard on! The keys have a solid feel and a nice spring to them. There is a good variety of tunes, rythems and demo songs so there will be something I (and others) will be able to learn and play with relative ease plus music that suits all ages.
Down side: some of the different instruments sound rather tinny and not quite right although this is a minor niggle for a beginners keyboard.
In all, you get a lot for the price and kids will love this. A cheap way to see if learning a keyboard instrument is managable by you.
