The Safetots Fire Guards restrict access to the fire place or heaths for curious toddlers. Each with its own unique features and complementary design to be suited for your home.
- Suitable for fitting against any structurally sound surface ie Brick, Plastered Wall
- This Fireguard complies with BS 8423:2010. It is advised to position the fireguard at least 30cm away from fire or appliance.

I recently purchased this fireguard for my home, and I must say, it has provided me with peace of mind in keeping my child safe from the fireplace. With its sturdy construction, easy assembly, and affordable price, this fireguard has proven to be a reliable safety solution.
The first thing that impressed me about this fireguard is its sturdiness. Once assembled, it stands firmly on the floor and connects securely to the wall using the enclosed securing clips.
It’s very easy to assemble. With clear instructions and straightforward steps, it didn’t take me long to set it up and secure it in place. The adjustable width feature, ranging from 84.5cm to 155cm, allows for flexibility in fitting it to various fireplace sizes. Ours is bang in the middle of that range so we had no problems.
One aspect to consider is that to ensure all the sections of the fireguard remain tightly connected, you might need to add some cable ties. This small inconvenience can be easily addressed, and it doesn’t detract from the overall effectiveness of the fireguard. Check that the cable ties won’t cause a fire or melting hazard before doing this though!
In terms of affordability, the Safetots Original Fireguard offers excellent value for its price. It provides a sturdy and reliable safety solution without breaking the bank.

Awesome Fireguard
One of the best fireguards I’ve seen since my daughter was born 35 years ago. Back then things were made of quality materials and this item takes me back to there. Ultimately I have grandkids now and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it to anyone with kids around open fires and gas fires especially. Electric fires as well as it keeps there little hands from touching a hot bit of metal.

Purchased this fireguard to keep grandchildren away from fire, works perfectly and folds down nicely and stored in garage until they visit again. Well made and extremely good quality and when bolted on to brackets that fit either side of fire you can rest easy

Brilliant at protecting granddaughters from hot log burner, best part is it doesn’t get hot, even the part of the guard that goes over top of log burner Easy to put away and fold down when not needed, a quality product for sure.

Sturdy fire guard
Bought this to cover a inglenook which houses the log stove. Arrived on time, was easy to put together and is perfect for its use to keep the puppy away. Sturdy construction and would be just as suitable to keep children safe as well

Good sturdy fire guard & easy to erect. Dropped one star because the spring clip supplied to secure it to the fire place on each side is to small & requires quite a bit of force to latch it into the ring screws supplied.

A friend recommended this to me and at first I mistakenly assumed it might not deter my 3 and 1 yr olds away from the fire. I still bought it because I wanted to see if it would be what we needed to safely use the fireplace more often. The wall behind it is completely solid stone so we haven’t screwed it in but my rambunctious toddlers actually do still keep away from the fireplace because of this item! Having this fireguard makes me feel so much more confident that we can safely have fires in the winter.

Good guard but can’t fold back properly to see to the fire. Can’t fold flat when built.
Real Safety
This is slightly awkward to assemble alone, 2 people would do in 5 minutes. Fireguard is sturdy and feels safe. I had to drill two holes in wall to install it but it took only 10 mins. I would recommend to anyone.

I am happy enough with this product the only thing is if you do not attach it something on the sides of the fireplace it will fall easily. Other than that couldn’t complain and with two little ones running around I feel it’s safe enough.
Strong effective fireguard
Fixings a little stiff and fiddly, but easily adapted. When fully clipped together it is a very sturdy fireguard. The black colour is a bonus too – it blends well with our fire surround and does not look at all obtrusive.
Took a while to assemble
Well made but top heavy and definitely needs to be fixed to a wall. Had hoped it would fold flat for storage but the top flap doesn’t fold down properly.

Perfect fire guard. I had recently bought a fireguard for my stove in the other room it was much more expensive than this one and not as good as this one. This really does the job without being cumbersome. It’s sturdy easy to fit and I’m very pleased with it.

We used this to screen off the Aga stove so that our cats cannot jump up and burn themselves. Works very well.
