Sturdy and safe
My wee boys loves his bike he’s just turned 2 and is a pretty tall 2 year old, so he won’t be able to use it for very long. But, great wee starter bike. My 8year old sits on it with him and it’s so far withstood this. So seems very sturdy. Great buy!
Great fun for indoors and outdoors playtime
I bought the Scuttlebug Beetle bike for my grandson’s first birthday and it was an instant success. It was very easy to put together and he instantly pushed it and examined it like a little mechanic! There’s plenty of time for him to learn how to ride it but he loves it anyway. My older grandchildren had both had them and equally loved them so I felt confident buying this one
Great for toddlers
Kids love going down the ramps at the skate park on it!! Must admit I didn’t read the recommended age and thought it would be suited to 3 year olds but it’s really for younger children.

Very small
This is very very small. Would be more for the size of a 1 year old. My daughter is two and only small herself but this made her look huge. Bit too small for 2-3 years
Present for a 2 year old
This was a Birthday gift for my 2 year old Granddaughter who is many miles away unfortunately so I cannot comment on whether it was easy to assemble, easy to fold or sturdiness but I can say that it has been a great hit with her 5 year old brother.

My daughter aged 2 loves this! It does seem slightly small for her to ride properly outside though, would say its suited more to 1+ but she gets plenty use inside the house.

Brought this for my 15months nephew I’ve got to say he absolutely loves it, if he’s not on it he carries it. We even took it on holiday fit in a suitcase perfect.

Lovely scuttlebug
Bought as a first birthday gift, came really quickly. I love scuttlebugs, they fold small and can be played with in and outdoors. I can fit 2 of them folded up in the bottom of my pram.
Great for the wee one
2 year old absolutely loves it, wheels are quiet on wooden floors and leave no scratches (they’re also easy to clean after being over to the park!) Handle bars are a little low and seem non adjustable, though my son is a bit taller than the average 2 year old and it doesn’t seem to cause him any issues when zooming about the place. Overall quiet pleased.
The quality of this product for 20 is absolutely outstanding! My 16 month old loves this and immediately knew how to climb on and push it along with his feet.. Outside he prefers to stand up and push it along which is funny to see! He’s 40lbs and 3′ tall and this ride on is a good size for his age/abilities. I think once he’s too big for this we’ll get the next size up.
The wheels are silent so can use this indoors without a racket.
It's a bit smaller than I expected
It’s a bit smaller than I expected but my 3 year old absolutely loves it. She’s spent hours running over our feet, into the back of our ankles… The walls.

Had this for quite a while now. Been left out in the cold and rain. Still looks good. Daughter is 2 and lives playing with this.

Super lightweight but sturdy ride on. Ideal for 2 years old. Not great on grass but I didn’t expect it to be! Cute design, little one likes the face. Recommended. A bit stiff to fold down but easy enough. If it wasn’t stiff then kids would probably hurt themselves in the mechanisms!

My 19 month old loves his new bike. We have used it both indoors and outside and it is nice and compact so easy to take it out with us. Light weight but sturdy enough and no peddles so even younger children can use it. Very happy with this purchase.

Wow! This really exceeded my expectations! Only had it since yesterday so can’t comment on durability but the kids (2 and 3.5) love their new rides! Very easy to fold so can take to the parks with us. Will even fit under the Yoyo buggy. Smooth ride on grass and pavement. For 20 it’s a real bargain!

It’s good but the handle bars are a little far back for a toddle
Such a great ride on. I think they are a great introduction to riding bikes or scooters. Small enough to ride around the kitchen table and to start quite little kids on but also sturdy enough for big kids to sit on when they visit. My favourite thing about them is that you can collapse the wheels in and fold them up small enough to pop under the pram and take them out to the park. My kids loved riding them around the local park and it meant that when we got scooters 6 mnths later, they already knew how to steer and push with their feet. They pict up scooters and balance bikes really fast and I’m sure it’s because they loved their scuttlebugs and ride them every day.

Great first birthday presents. All my nieces and nephews have scuttle bugs. Highly recommend them, even before they are walking can be used to ride on with assistance. Can push along themselves too. Easy to pack up and put in the car to take to the park
We LOVE these bikes. I just purchased our second and third for our one yr old twins. We buy them for the kids around one and they ride them from about 15 months to over 4 nonstop. They’re so cute and sturdy and low enough to the ground that you don’t need to be concerned about a fall. We use them indoors and out and love that they fold flat with a simple maneuver in order to travel with them. When someone is looking for a gift for a 1-4 yr old I ALWAYS recommend these bikes
I bought one of these for each of my boys in the past. They LOVE it and it has grown well with them. It is easy to assemble and very sturdy. It is perfect for teaching the very basic muscle memory for using a balance bike. I have since purchased one for my nieces who are toddlers. It has been a huge hit with all of the kids in our family and I have recommended it to many family and friends as gift options for little toddlers.

Great for a 1 year old
I bought this as a birthday present for a 1 year old. It’s the perfect size and seemed sturdy and well made. That said my 3 year old had a turn and he enjoyed it too, so I can see it having longevity.
I was impressed that it folds up, so handy to put in the boot of the car or to carry to the park. I’d even imagine due to the compact size it would fit in many pram baskets. They are obviously very popular as I see kids on them all the time.

Good sturdy ride along
Bought this for our 18 month old daughter for Xmas! She really likes it and easy to use! She hasn’t quite figured out on how to push her self along but I am sure she will get there!

Great product unfortunately i was to small for my 2 year old’s, but a very good quality product it was a shame it was to small for my children, if you’re child is tall for their age this product is not for you.

Sturdy and long lasting.
Purchased for my Nephew’s 1st birthday. Decided to buy one for him as I work in a nursery where we have several, the children from 1 up to 4 love them, they are used daily by at least 25 children and after a year not one of them is worn or damaged, so I thought it would be an ideal long lasting gift for my Nephew.
This was a present sent via Amazon UK to my 3 year old grandson in Switzerland. He was totally enthralled with the ‘trike’, had no problems with quickly finding how to ride it and has spent many hours in their house and level garden ‘driving’ the trike everywhere. Highly recommend the toy for its fun level and also the exercise that results from the extensive use! And under adult surveillance it’s safe to use.

Love the scuttlebug. My daughter is 14 months old and I rembered the scuttlebug my son had a few years back so picked up a pink one for her.
Comes well presented and ready to play. No assembly required you just extend the legs out and they lock into place.

One year old can touch the ground and he's 74cm long.
I bought this for my son’s first birthday. He can already touch the ground but he is not able to wheel himself around yet. He is trying as you can see his legs moving but he’s not strong enough yet he and can steer it. We sit him on it and wheel him about and he loves it. I’m glad we bought this for him and I can’t wait to see him get about on it.

in the excitement of my grandson’s birthday party the instruction book is lost. We can manage to fold down the front wheel and handlebars – but cannot figure out how to fold down the two separate back wheels. Is there anyone out there who can help please? Thanks
Super easy to assemble. My daughter got it for her 2nd birthday and she loves it. However, it is pretty small and I cannot see her being able to use it for even a year before she outgrows it. I'd say it's better for 1-1.5 year olds.

Good but not suitable for 2+
I purchased this for my little boys second birthday as it says ages 1-3, however it is far too small for him, so wasted money.
If he wasn’t already too tall for it, it would probably be a great little scooter.

This scooter rolls really nicely. Shipped fast . They are paved trails for walking, bikes, running, etc. It’s not quite as heavy-duty as a old skuttlebug, but it still seems sturdy enough. It’s not quite as nice, but it still works pretty well.

Ideal 1st trike!

Fun tricycle
My little grandson loves his scuttle bug! We first bought it when he was almost walking and it helped him get around! Now he is running around and climbs on and off and loves riding it! Folds away easily, is sturdy and looks cute!

Incredibble quality for the price
This is smart built, fun and great quality. You can hardly hear the wheels and though built for up to 3 years, my 9 year old climbed on it to show her sibling how to use it and it held her without problems. I love the way it folds so you can carry it in your backpack for great fun anywhere. My 1 year old hasn’t yet figured out how to ride it frontwards but seems to have mastered it backwards from the first day. Great purchase, not to mention delivery was faster than expected.

My two year old’s favourite toy. He loves racing around the house on it everyday. Such a good quality. And the best thing is that it folds, so can take it with you anywhere and doesn’t take a lot of space. Love the variety of colours, yellow is the best one in my opinion! Even thinking to get a second one for outside, as I’m sure it would be a great fun in the park. Would definitely recommend.

This is so colourful such a beautiful design. This was a gift, I have bought several over the years as gifts following the huge success of this with my own children.

My little girl loves this bike. However if you have only carpets in the house it might be not as easy to ride on as on the wooden floor. That is one of the better birthday present she was given and it’s easy to fold it so we take it with us when we go for a play day etc.
She was given it for her first birthday but to be honest she started using it when she was maybe 14 months.

When my grandson received it in the post he screamed with happiness. It goes everywhere with him. It folds so it easy to carry. For a 2 year old it’s just perfect as a first tricycle. He finds it easy to control and is getting very fast on it. The bug is very stable.

My grandson who is 12 months got on this and loved it…only issue with him being so young (but so forward) is that he had a knack of sitting too far back on the seat which leads to it tipping. It will continue to be great fun as he grows with it. So easy to click in and out of place. No assembly required. Next day delivery, very happy and would recommend.
Great quality but small
Great quality, able to use straight out the box however its too small for my 19 month old. Not sure how it is suitable for upto 3yrs! He will get some use out of it but very much doubt he will be able to use it after the summer as he will be too big. I would send it back but I am hoping his younger brother will use it one day.

Great little bike. My daughter received this for her 2nd birthday and she hasn’t been off it yet!! Unfortunately I don’t think it will last too long as she will out grow it . Probably better for toddlers from the age of 1 up to 2. still brilliant bike very durable great purchase.
My one year old loved this as his 1st birthday present. He can’t reach the floor yet, but he has worked out that if he lifts his legs out in front of him, his mummy and daddy can push him up and down until he’s fed up/we’re fed up! The trike is made really well and it’s really useful that you can fold it up, so it’s easily portable (we even put it in the pushchair basket when we go to the park). Once he’s bigger, it’ll be a great trike for him to let off steam on, so it’ll last for a few years.
Durable but I can't collapse it anymore.
We are still using this 3 summers after we bought it and long after sun exposure turned it pink! It’s quite slow as the wheels are rather small and the mechanism for the back two legs can be quite stiff – both an advantage as kids can’t easily do it so you know an adult had made sure it’s up correctly, and a disadvantage if you are not so strong (guilty). Could be greatly improved by adding a ring to the front bar for kids who need pulling along to get them started, adding a ring to the back so it could be carried like a bag would also be great. Quite disappointed how quickly it lost it’s colour.

Highly recommended…I bought this 2 years ago when my son was 1, and this is the one toy that I can honestly say he’s got our monies worth. We even took it on holiday abroad as it folds down small, didn’t take much room in the suitcase, and was a life saver on holiday, kept him occupied for hours. He absolutely loves this, and although we’ve bought him a balance bike since he’s got bigger, he still goes back to this. It’s definitely his favourite toy ever. The biggest plus is that we got it on offer at half price!!!

Great little tryke but really meant to for 12 months plus. I bought it when my twins were 17 months and just 2 months later it looks small. They are average sized toddlers but this tryke will not last until they are 2years old never mind 3 years old.

Good although not perfect.
Its a great toy. Our son loves his. My only reason to dock a star, is that due to the design, the steering handles are very close to the body, making it a little difficult to steer. Now, having said that, I understand they did that as steering and front wheel are on the same rod and in order for the front wheel to be forward enough to provide good stability. There is another version with 4 wheels where the steering is farther forward which is better. But this is far more compact. Horses for courses? Maybe the design could be improved to address this issue!?
Really great little set of wheels
Bought for my tall 19 month old boy. Too tall for his standard ride one. He has taken a few attempts to get the hang of the 3 wheeler and the handle but he whizzes around now and is getting better daily.
His 3 yr Old sister also enjoys it.
