Add one to your garden / garage arsenal
Can’t believe that I have never bought one of these before. Used to apply patio cleaner solution and then washed and used rip apply plant food in borders. Great way to accurately distribute liquids. Will use to apply tire cleaning solution when cleaning car. Better still I’ll just buy another one for that to avoid cross contamination. Great addition to patio, driveway and general gardening equipment. Simple to assemble and easy to use and clean.
Excellent spraye
I have used this sprayer for weed control using only vinegar, washing up liquid and salt. Sprayer was a pleasure to work with. Very simple to use. Reason I purchased this particular model was because it is manufactured by a very well known garden tool maker whose name I trust.

Great buy. Wish I’d bought one years ago. Put ready to use weed killer in it and applied to all my weeds in 5 minutes without the hand fatigue you get with those wee squirty bottles. And no strain on your back because of the long nozzle.
Excellent Spraye
Bought this sprayer to replace another by another brand. This one is slightly smaller but the coverage of the spray seems identical and the smaller dimensions of the sprayer improves manoeuvrability. Very pleased with my purchase.

The sprayer works very well I used it to spray weeds and as a second sprayer to my main one and am very satisfied.
Quick and efficie
This is very easy to set up and get going. I’ve had more expensive sprayers but this is the one I prefer. Once pumped up it maintains a fine spray, easily carried and manoeuvred to get under foliage. Also works well when there’s only a little liquid left.

1st item I received was damaged, requested a return & replacement. Originally the automated process sent me a return label where I would have to pay returns. However, when I contacted the supplier querying this they were very friendly and said I did not need to return it at all (surprising as only the nozzle was damaged) and sent me a replacement pretty quickly. If your amazon return does not seem reasonable always politely query – suppliers are usually quite happy to be fair like this one was.

Very effective spraye
I purchased this for my sister. She wanted to spray paint certain areas of her garden fence. She was very pleased with it and highly recommends it’s efficency.
Very Good
Used it straight away once I recieved it. The whole product is easy to use and does exactly what its purpose is for. Used it for killing mites solution mixed. you can use it to spray anything in your garden. I will buy it again in the future.
Faulty Spraye
I bought this sprayer last August and only used a few times last autumn without any problems. I have just used it for the first time this spring and the sprayer will not hold any pressure. I would appreciate any help from other users or from Spear and Jackson the maker.
Trigger button leaks a bi
Bought this to use with Wet and Forget, easy to use but it does dribble a little bit where you press the trigger. Apart from that it dispenses a good spray and I like the strap feature

Gives a reasonable spray coverage. Handle locks in for easier carrying if you don’t want to use the strap. Quickly reaches full pressure even when nearly empty.
I use it to wash the dog's feet after muddy walks
I am sure this sprayer would work very well in the garden but I purchased it for and use it for spraying the dog down after a muddy walk and it is perfect for that. I’m happy…..not sure the dog is!
Patio Cleaning Day
I liked that the measurements were clear on the side and easy to assemble but I think it could have had a better Handle to move it around as I was cleaning my patio
As it was full of fluid (5Litres) I didn’t trust the strap considering the cleaner I was using was dangerous.
Versatile spray
I purchased this spray to kill off ivy which was invading my garden and shed. The main reason for this particular spray is that it has a wand which I needed to access areas where the space was too restricted for me to enter and another bonus is that it has a large reservoir so you cover a large area before refilling.

It is very easy to use, and has a good shoulder strap and a pressure release valve. The spray has a lock so you can lock the spray on, which is a plus, and dispenses a good, adjustable spray when fully primed. I use it carefully because I feel some of the plastic parts may be vulnerable, but overall it is a good quality item and has served me very well and still going strong. I’m very glad I bought it.

…the Spear and Jackson Pump Action Pressure Sprayer for all sorts of tasks when you need a ‘pump action’ sprayer.
I use this for a variety of uses and not just limited to spraying the roses. Depending on what I need to spray I make sure that it has had a good clean out after each use – a drop of washing up liquid and a litre or two of clean water then give it a good shake and then pressurise it a bit and use the trigger to clean the tube and spray arm.
I have used it for spraying moss killer on my drive and pathway – I’ve used it to spray shampoo for car cleaning and even used it to spray a light mix of detergent and water for external window cleaning. I am sure that there are plenty of uses for this sprayer and I am equally sure this will get the job done.
I am pleased to report that this works perfectly for me and on that basis I am very happy to recommend this item to you.

Excellent sprayer at a good price
Beware of the twin pack option,
unless you need two sprayers,
which I incorrectly picked.
Didn’t realise until two sprayers were delivered.
Fortunately a neighbour bought the spare off me.
Good efficient Spraye
Bought 2 of these – just in case. Have used the first from plant and pest spraying, Neem Oil and an intensive Creocote spraying. Easy to use and carry, no leakage and no hassle – excellent quailty
Good value for money
Out of the box and using within 5 minutes. Great product. We used it to apply algae cleaner and it was done in no time. Great having a shoulder strap too. At 5 litres wasn’t too heavy either.

I have another sprayer that is old and tired, so I thought as it a new season gardening lets start of with a new sprayer. Well worth the money
Tried this product after delivery today and I was highly impressed. I filled the container of water to the maximum line and having primed the container on two occasions it emptied the contents with no further priming needed. I purchased this item to aid watering of greenhouse products and this will do this with ease.
Nozzle could be longe
Works great, pressure lasts for ages.
Wish the nozzle was longer, I ended up bending over to spray weeds, hurting my back.
I’ve twisted the nozzle into a jet rather than a spray, so I hope next time I can shoot from afar…
Ideal for spraying disinfectant.
Being a hen keeper I brought this spray bottle to use during the current Avian Influenza outbreak. So far it is doing what I need in spraying our footware and paving with DEFRA approved disinfectant before we enter our hens enclosure.
A great tool to have
This is a great spray tank with long pipe and gun you can put it over your shoulder to carry the funny thing is I had forgot I had one in the shed never mind I can use both of them together when watering the vegetables

Pump Action Spear & Jackso
Had one of these in the past but snapped the handle always found it reliable, i use it for spraying a/c conditioning coils can adjust the stream of flow of diluted chemicals from the nozzle on lance. Nice purchase.

hubby had one of these but it stopped working so was looking for a new one and this one was reasonably priced and a good brand, hubby likes that it has a shoulder strap and so far is pleased with it.

It’s a basic spray is good for spaying cayenne and soap water mix on plant’s to keep squirrels at bay you don’t get it on your hands so no sore eyes by accidental rubs

The nozzle is long and allows you to get deep into bushes. Although it has a handle you don’t need to carry it as it sits perfectly well on the floor. Excellent pressure pump down a few times and choose how you would like your liquid sprayed using the nozzle control.

Had one of these for the garden and 2 years later still works great. Then i wanted something to clean our dog and boots after a walk before getting back in the car. We saw the mud daddy which was 40! not prepared to pay that, i ordered one of these and a brush to connect to it. Connected it all up, cost half the price of the mud daddy and works without any issues at all.

Annoyed that pick up store attendant didn’t know how to release the product; had to call his Supervisor meant had to wait several minutes

The best sprayer I have had
I have waited to comment on this, because I have sprayers before, and they went in the rubbish bin after a few months. This sprayer is in a class of its own compared to the others I have had. I like the easy jet/spray adjustment, and the pump seems very robust to me. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the handle, which is a little flimsy. I notice one reviewer complained the handle had snapped. Well I can see that happening if you are rough with it, but if you are just reasonably gentle, this should last for a long time.
Easy to use and saves your trigger finge
I bought this due to having a large garden and the bottom half overgrown with weeds/foliage, predominately because I was sick of using the trigger on weed killer bottles (tiresome and sometimes painful).
Does the job perfectly, even distribution and the nozzle works surprisingly well. Would definitely recommend.

Most useful to spray and get the covering you need
My son thought this would be good for us to use with Sanitizer in for using in the church where we are the caretaker. It is super easy and is so much better than wipes. My son as several filled with different solutions.
So Far So Good
The pressure is very good, on my previous sprayer there was a means of attaching the wand to the bottle for storage but not really a problem. Using it to spray Patio Magic so will how often the nozzle needs cleaning.
For a non-toxic way of controlling algae on flagstones Patio Magic is as it says……Magic.

Good value & solid build
I was after a garden sprayer replacement for quite some time and this Spear & Jackson was perfect.
It’s well built and doesn’t feel cheap and flimsy.
I’ve used it for those pesky weeds in the garden!

Worked ok
Not a very good variable sprayer nozzle and considering it was advertised fr paint, it got gummed up pretty easily.
However the paint I was using was water based and it cleaned up well and easily after use.
Does the job and can be put to a variety of uses
I bought this to spray weedkiller on my patio, and it performs that job well. It’s cheaper than some and some of the plastic parts feel a little bit flimsy, but look after it and it should last. The pressure is good and the wand is a good length. The lever can be locked in the “on” position to save having to squeeze it constantly.
It takes about 20 pumps to get to working pressure, then just needs 10 pumps every few minutes to keep it going.
Overall I’m happy with it for occasional home use.
Well Built & Does the Job
This is the first time I have used a pressure sprayer. I needed it in order to spray weed killer on my 50-meter back garden in order to get rid of a weed jungle and re-turf from scratch.
As I said, this is the first time I have used one of these, so I can’t compare it to other brands, but I can say that this seems very well built and definitely does the job. I have used it twice now to cover my garden with weed killer, and it looks like I will need to do it again (due to possibly using rubbish weed killer).
This gives a good bit of pressure and 5 litres of liquid pumped 20 times covered about half of my garden. Another 20 pumps and it finished the remainder. This is a good bit of kit in my book, and the price seems very reasonable compared to other items I looked at when deciding which pressure sprayer to purchase.
Ok for the money.
Have used this a couple of times so far and seems to be ok. Only criticism is the adjustable nozzle is not easy to adjust and is very stiff, the adjustment is also very fine when you do manage to adjust it going from a jet to a full spray in a matter of couple of mm turn. Appart from that all else seems good, nice sturdy strap, good filling hole. Could have done with a wand clip through for storage.

Bought two - both broke - waste of money.
Bought two of these and both have broken with minimal use. Pressure doesn’t hold in one and other snapped far too easily across the spraying arm.
Can’t return or get a refund as didn’t start using them immediately.
Would not recommend.
Good value compared to other more expensive sprayers
This product is very easy to use. The only concerns I have is about the red cover over the nozzle. My first one split after a few uses. However I do like the sprayer and have bought a second one which hopefully will be ok
Works as described, good effective spray
Pretty basic pump/sprayer. Easy to assemble, and worked from first use (weed killer, glyphosate) You have to really screw the top on hard to keep it pressurised, and takes about 20 or so pumps to get a good pressure. Pump up occasionally as you use it, to keep the pressure up, but that is as expected. The spray tip is easily adjustable, and I was a bit surprised at the well-defined spray cone, it was very directional, which meant I could spray the weeds without the spray touching wanted plants only a few inches away. My only negative would be that the wand is a bit short for me (over 6 foot tall)and it was made of plastic. The last one I bought had a stainless spray wand, although to be fair, the plastic is doing a fair job.
A WELL MADE ITEM FROM A BRAND THAT I CAN TRUST
It took about 6 days to arrive after being ordered and is well made with no leaks when tested under pressure. I have only tested it with a water content so far but needed to do that to ensure that all was O.K and wasn’t about to get my face squirted at by a liquid gardening chemical from any connection points that I hadn’t tested yet. I like the way that – after pumping up the internal pressure – the pump’s handle is locked into the main body via a simple twist in order to carry the 5 litre bottle around safely. The pressure release valve works O.K If there would be too much build up of pressure inside the bottle or when tugged up with a couple of fingers to release any pressure prior to unscrewing the top. This is much better than a less thought-out one I had up until earlier this year. I’m glad that I got rid of that to make way for this instead. A good buy.

Used this many times now. Easy to put together. Screw up top with good clear measuring marks. Use it for large areas of paving with my patio magic liquid. Direct spray nozzle easy work. Easy pump action and top carry handle as well as body cross body strap. Great piece of equipment. Can spray up walls and I love it.
Works well
Whilst being quite light weight, this seems quite robust, pressurises well and delivers an effective spray pattern. Only time will tell it’s durability but seems good value

Replaceme
Had another one before which lasted 10/11 years and the sunlight eventually degraded the plastic. Small improvements in design make it easier to use. Good range of spray available from nozzle. If you want it to last a lifetime…….keep it stored out of the sun. Excellent.
Trigger valve leaks a bit under pressure but great value for money nonetheless
Title says it all, really. This bears a trusted name, and seems to have good manufacturing tolerances and quality control (no burrs or molding artefacts). The tubes slot together snugly and the threaded fasteners do up tight. On my one the valve under the thumb trigger happens to drip when the bottle is under pressure. Hardly a show-stopper.
Done the job, happy with this purchase.
I bought this to do a bit (well a lot) of weed killing and it didn’t let me down. Worked as expected and was quite cheap. If asked I’d recommend as I had no issues or problems with this purchase.

After I first used it all it did was squirt all the air from it. No liquid came out.
Investigation showed a missing pipe between the pump head and the liquid bottle. I had an old pump so I robbed a part from this. Once fitted it worked perfectly. Sadly Amazon has wrong info on its returns. Spear and Jackson said it was up to Amazon to fix. Having looked at the return procedure I decided it was not worth it for 9.99 so did not proceed. It’s doing the job and my old one was dead.

Good value and easy to use
This Spear and Jackson Pump Action Sprayer is a handy addition to the garden. The tank which has a 5L capacity is robust and has a clear measuring scale. There are also a handy shoulder strap and a lance – you can adjust the spray from a single stream to a mist by twisting the nozzle plus you can lock the trigger into the on or off or permanently on position if you wish. The pump handle is robust too.
I’ve been using this product for a couple of years and have found it to work well. The lance is potentially the most delicate part but I’ve had no problems with mine so far. Half a dozen pumps every now and again will allow you to spray for quite a while, I use my sprayer particularly for anti-algae mix spraying of the patio. Overall, especially given its price, this is an effective product without any major flaws.

Bought this to use instead of the weed-killers with integrated sprays that I have found often don’t work for long – if at all; the last one didn’t and is ready to take to the local reclamation centre. I hope now that I only have buy the refill weed-killers.
This was easy to set up and begin using. It’s just the right size versus full laden weight and I like too that the amount of liquid in the tank is visible.
I’ll probably buy another for the alternate purpose!

I’ve now purchased a concentrated weed killer to use in it.
(Be careful with weed killers and always read the instructions) [i labelled my sprayer to reflect the contents]
Sprayer works perfectly and makes weed killing large areas so much easier and in the long run a lot cheaper! With the 20 bottle of concentrate I bought I’ll easily have enough weedkiller for at least 2 seasons and thats covering a huge area of gravel drive which keeps growing weeds.
What I love:
– Easy to pressurise with just 25 pumps maximum
– Safety features, pressure release valve and spray trigger lock
– Good spray pattern (adjustable)
– Handy shoulder strap
Issues:
– Wish wand was a little longer. I’m 6ft and need to bend over a little which after a while gets uncomfortable. But for the price its still getting 5 stars

Great Pressure Spraye
Even after researching something before you buy it, you are still slightly apprehensive that it may not live up to expectations. It arrived very promptly, was well packaged. Required only the spray arm to be screwed on and away it went. Great value for money from a well known name and has done a good job.

The product is a pump action garden weed killer spray. It arrived on time but I haven’t used it yet. I have a similar one and I’m sure they both operate in the same way and will be very useful. The two together will have different chemical products within for different weed growth.
Perfect for my cleaning needs
Loving this so easy to use, just fill, pump and spray. Have used it to be put artificial grass cleaner in to tackle areas and deep clean when needed, its been much easier to use then a watering can and can keep the cleaner safely stored til i need it.

The quality for the price is excellent, it took me literally a minute to convert it for use on my tyres, also disregarding the long lance (which isn’t required for use on tyres) it strips down and all goes inside the bottle for neat storage. This sprayer is decent for the money. It seems pretty robust and holds the pressure for a decent amount of time. As you pump it you can feel the pressure building up, normally about 12 is enough. Easy to fill up. The nozzle twists to adjust the width of the spray, at its maximum, it’s not huge so good for directing the spray where you want it.

Sturdy, works well & easy to use.
A good quality garden sprayer. No assembly needed. Easy to use and clean. Feels sturdy. Only fault I could give is that the carry stray isn’t the greatest. It’s ok if you only partly fill the container but isn’t comfortable when its full.

It’s really easy to use, just fill up with water and whatever additive you plan to use and give it a quick shake and your all set. It does state that its 25 max pumps, I did 20 each time I used it and that lasted for the entire duration of the 2L that I filled it with.
One thing I missed the first time I used it was that once you press the trigger down you can slide it up to lock it in position. This takes the strain off your your fingers or thumb if your spraying a large area.
Mass destruction for beginners
Satisfies my nastier instincts by enabling mass destruction of weeds. Has a decent spray coverage which is far better than the miserable dribble that you get from the pre filled pump action sprayers, and much easier than a hand spray. Pump to activate and release the pressure with the valve to stop. Once you’ve got that worked out its a doddle.
Good product do recomend
Excerlant, so glad I went for the spear and Jackson. Worked realy well got the job done realy fast, used it to wet and forget my concrete. The only minor issue was the lid come loose twice effecting the pressure only had to re tighten it then pump again all back to normal. Good product do recomend.
