It really helps!
This really helps my Castiel when it’s windy and rainy. He gets really stressed when the weather is like that, and it really does calm him down quite quickly. I was really surprised.
Really effective
I’ve used thundershirts on a couple of dogs – one for anxiety and one for dementia and have found them to be really effective and helpful. Both dogs have been perfectly happy to wear them.

Fantastic Coa
My 8 months Cockapoo suffers with anxiety and car sickness. She will be drooling like mad (before jumping in the car), crying and being sick if the journey was more than 3 miles. I spent a lot of time reading the reviews of this coat and I decided to have a go at it. We went to the beach (14miles), I put her the coat an hour before the journey and as you can see in the photo…for the first time ever she slept both journeys, she didn’t drool almost nothing and lied down. I am over the moon and so pleased with this amazing product. Great quality and looks really smart.
Too early to say
It was obvious from the start that the coat is well made and the fixing are well thought out. My dog was very happy to have the coat put on and to wear it from the word go. It’s still a bit too early to comment on its effectiveness though.
Exceeded my expectations
I bought a thunder shirt for our juvenile Doberman dog who suffered from anxiety when we became his forever home in 2020. He had previously been moved from house to house with his previous owner and he was very anxious when anyone came to the house or left and was only happy if he was with me every minute of the day. I wanted to make him stay downstairs through the night but he really hated it and cried and paced until he fell asleep exhausted. SO… in desperation I bought this Thundershirt, not for one moment believing it would help. I was VERY sceptical indeed. I’m extremely pleased to say it exceeded my expectations and “Theo” loved it from the very first night. He sleeps better and knows when the shirt goes on it’s bed time and “alone time”.
I can’t guarantee this will work for every anxious dog out there but it has certainly worked for us. I would say, give it a go, you never know it might work as well for your dog as it did for mine
I’m not sure if it made any difference to my girl who is petrified of the wind. She seemed somewhat less anxious but definitely it is was nowhere near as effective as the music for dogs you get on YouTube, which is like a sedative for my girl but get on our nerves something terrible lol! I followed all the recommendations such as giving her treats on the vest without her wearing it, only putting it on when she was settled. It was nearly a full week of doing all those things before I even put it on her. So I’m still on the hunt for a way to calm/soothe her that isn’t medication or drives us mad in the meantime!
It works!
Purchased this for our miniature dachshund after the passing of our dog. She had never been left on her own during the day and we found she had very, very bad separation anxiety without her buddy for company while we were at work. A dog behaviourist recommended purchasing a thundershirt. It is amazing how it instantly made her calm and settled when we left the house. I can definitely say it works for her. She now sleeps during the day and is comfortable being left alone when wearing her thundershirt as opposed to her constantly howling and crying when being alone. I am so pleased that it provides her comfort!

Got this for my beagle who started displaying bad behaviours around the house like chewing excessive barking etc that she hadn’t ever displayed before, after ruling out any illnesses decided that it must be anxiety, got this shirt and she stopped all the behaviours when she is wearing it, she doesn’t love the noise of the Velcro but she doesn’t mind getting it on anymore, it’s the right thickness and has a good stretch! Might get more because it’s made her so much better behaved!

Well this shirt is magic.. Last night we popped it on and noticed instant calm in her so gave her an hour took it off waited for bed time popped it on and again calm.

Bought one originally for my old dog who got frightened of thunder in old age. Got another one for my dog that suffers from separation anxiety. Def worked well as lessening the reactions of both dogs to the thunder and stress.

Great produc
This is a great product for my cocker spaniel. It fits her great, there is lots of space on the velcro straps for different sized medium dogs. It really helps to calm her down after fire works. She still reacts, but the time taken to calm down after is much reduced. She is happy to sleep in it as well.
This actually works!
I was very sceptical about this as I didn’t believe it would work. My 10 yr old lab was spooked by fireworks a couple of years ago and was a wreck whenever she heard one in the distance. My vet recommended we try this. What a difference. She loves it and settles really quickly when we put it on her. In retrospect I would have gone for a bigger size. She isn’t a big lab but I think the extra large would be a better fit. However it does the job even though she does have a bit of a ‘muffin top’ when wearing it. A much happier dog than she was before.

We bought this for our rescue Jack Russell to see if it would help with car journeys, as he gets really stressed out and won’t sit still and can get snappy if touched. The thundershirt has definitely helped our dog, he is so much calmer and doesn’t snap, it’s almost as if he is a different dog. It’s something that is well worth a try, I just wish I had known about them for our previous dog as I’m sure this would have helped with fireworks which terrified him.

New Year’s Eve 2019 was extremely stressful as my 2yo border terrier had been traumatised by a firework that bonfire night, so he spent the entire night pacing, panting and hiding under the bed.
Bonfire night 2020 was equally upsetting, despite the desensitisation I had been doing with the dogs’ trust soundtracks (he can tell the difference between my phone and the outside world!), and valerian didn’t help much either. So in desperation I tried this, and though he is still not happy, he was relaxed enough to sit on my lap and spent the majority of NY Eve 2020 snoozing. Such a relief and definitely worth a try. The velcro is quite loud and it may take a couple of attempts to get the fit right, but he calms down straight away (he does like a hug, which might help).
No more trembling and dribbling.
My lovely big boy is a total wimp who turns to jelly whoever we get out the dyson, do any DIY or even just move things. The thunder shirt has cured him of his quivering and dribbling. If it works for him it will probably work for any scaredy dog.

Bought this for fireworks night, along with adaptil. My dogs super anxious as she was a rescue and her fear of fireworks has gotton worse as shes gotton older. I have to say it did honestly seem to help! She doesn’t let anyone hold her when she’s scared, but I think the feeling of being held by the jacket did help subdue her fear. I’m willing to try anything to help her, and even if she has a little moment of anxiety I pop her in the jacket and she calms down alot quicker.

Not sure what ‘noise level’ pertains to but I give it full marks as it works on my very anxious beagle. Used this for years and it relaxes dog in under five minutes. Like swaddling your infant. Bought another for this November 5th and was very pleased to see it reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

We have a very nervous, agitated Cocker Spaniel who has just recovered from an operation on his paw. It was suggested that maybe the Thunder Shirt would help him and I must say it has seemed to calm him. I was concerned that the material would be too thick, but it is a perfect weight.
Miracle
The thunder shirt is brilliant. Before now we have had to get sedation from our vet as it’s like world war three here.
Our dog has had an adaptil collar on for two weeks prior to bonfire night and we do give her rescue remedy. We put the thunder shirt on her and she just took herself under the stairs and listened to Bill Turnbull ‘s music for pets!

Jury still out on this. Bonfire night(s) all seven of them this year!!Terrifys our dog, so we tried this vest this year. Dog was still very shaky and nervous but he can be like that on a nice summer’s day. So maybe it will help some dogs so I would say give it a go, it may well work for your furry pal

This thundershirt does seem to have some calming effect on my dog, although it doesn’t prevent her panting when fireworks are going off, or looking for a place to hide. It is however, better than what she’s like without it.
The shirt is good quality material and it does stretch. I have a border collie and she is on the larger end of the medium size so it is a tight, close fit. It’s easy to put on and doesn’t stop the dog moving about and lying down.

This worked as the many reviews say Cisco my KCC was terrified on bonfire night the level of loud fireworks were constant and he couldn’t settle, once his suit had come i was ready for the following night, I just put it on him straight away in the afternoon so he could get used to wearing it and took him for a walk and that was enough. Once the fireworks started again wow what a difference, he still went and hid out of the way and was aware of them going off but this time Once he had his spot he stayed their and went to sleep even snored as he does lol and a bit later he even went outside for a quick piddle no way would he do that the prev evening, so I have no problem in saying the reviews inc mine are true and highly recommend this suit!
Success on keeping calm
My Shit Tzu has a nervous breakdown when fireworks are around. It’s taken me five years to discover the solution.
A combination of wearing the Thundershirt, Valerian behind the ears and Classic FM playing loudly in the lounge and the bedroom works! Curtains drawn of course.

I bought this Thunder jacket just in time for Halloween and I’m so glad I did !! It’s good quality fabric with lots of stretch and super strong Velcro. Goes on my Pom easily.

Wow – I was sceptical, but OMG this is brilliant. Weve tried everything from playing music to medication and nothing worked. Our vet said that we’d exhausted all options, why not try the Thunder Vest. This works like a dream!!

Worth the money
Bought for a nervous Staffordshire bull terrier. She hates the fireworks and can’t stand being out the house this time of year, with this coat she’s a lot more at ease going out. Finding something that works is worth the money any day of the week. I bought the large and would recommend this to family and friends.
Passed the test on the build up to bonfire night! My pug has bad anxiety and I have heard alot about the Thunder shirt so thought I would give it a go this year as I am not a fan of chemical in defusers etc. It has worked a charm, the fireworks have been pretty bad tonight and once she settled into wearing it she fell fast a sleep. I would definitely recommend it and it’s worth the money. I had bought the thunder shirt and I cheaper 16.00 varient but don’t be tempted, the cheaper ones are not the same design or quality!

just what was needed

Worth the money

absolutely the best 25 I’ve ever spent! was massively sceptical about this as i think most people are, and I think its one of those products that just either works or it doesn’t but don’t think it should get a bad review if it doesn’t just return it instead of putting others off! My dog is absolutely petrified of fireworks to the point I think she would end up giving herself a heart attack (that bad) and as fireworks have started already I thought I’d give it a go. I KID YOU NOT!!! We put it on her hour or so later a few fireworks had started going off and she did not bat an eyelid didnt run away, wasn’t panting or shaking didnt put her tail between her legs like usual just carried on like nothing was going on. We’re having lots of building work carried out and my shihtzu was a nervous shaking wreck. Tail constantly down. I tried Adaptil plug ins, Calm collars, Serene Um tablets, nothing helped then I remembered I’d bought one of these many years ago for my yorkie on bonfire night. I put lots of treats on the vest 1st to get her to associate it with something nice, then laid it on her for 10 minutes, the fitted it whilst more treats. There is a lot of Velcro but this really helps with a snug fit. The Velcro can be noisy hence the treats, but wow, 2 minutes after it was on, my partner started drilling and instead of running and hiding, she just looked up and stayed where she was. Can’t recommend this enough.
Definitely works for our anxious dog
There are always mixed reviews on how successful these Thunder Coats are. All I can say is for Reggie our cockapoo who has always been a very anxious, agitated and barking at nothing dog. When we put the coat on him he calms right down and settles. I think it is an excellent product. It is easy to put on and very snug fitting. Reggie is now so used to it he almost seems to come and ask to have it on after his tea, It may not suit all but when it works it work.

Works well with calming our 19 month old Pug as soon as it was on she was nice and calm, could have been lucky maybe not but like a switch as soon as it was on she was calm, proof is in the pudding to be convinced would like to see if it has the same effect when she lights up again.
It’s amazing
I have a bullmastiff cross whippet still a puppy who before suffered terrible separation anxiety from myself and another family member but this shirt has been amazing it has been the difference between my dog chewing the house because of his nerves and simply greeting me at the door when I walk in after waiting for me whilst playing with his toys rather than being destructive.

The product really works
We have a 14 years old lhasa apso who last year started to show differents behaviours, became very anxious , apparently afraid of almost everything, even the things he used to like before such as car ride, walks, etc…the coat does not solve the problems I mentioned but yesterday for example he was extremely nervous (this was a stressful week for him) and he started to whining and walking all around, nothing made him quiet or calmer. It’s been a while since the last time we put the thundershirt in him so I put it on him again and all of a sudden he became calmer and calmer and fell asleep. My wife and I recommend this product.
A noticeable difference after 1 week
Rescue dog has terrible separation anxiety – whilst not a full cure – it most definitely has made a positive difference one week in. Anything that helps her through the trauma is a blessing.

Best thing I could of bought for my dog
After trying literally everything from pheromone collars to medictaion for a year, the thundershirt has practically cured my dog from separation anxiety! After going on holiday a year ago, my dogs behaviour when left alone had got progressively worse over time! Its started with chewing any paper left lying around, to chewing door frames, furniture, opening any cupboard doors looking for a way out an chewing what was in his way, he then started wetting around the house! Since ordering this coat a little over a week ago (apart from 1 accident 2 days in) he has done nothing, literally nothing!! Tjought was a bit expensive and would never work, but well worth the spend!!!
Helps my dog calm down!
Can see a clear difference in my boy when he has this on! As a rescue we’ve struggled with his anxiety. George is a Dutch Shepard x mastiff or American bull (unsure) so is a large breed and the XL vest fit him perfectly. The vest really does help him unwind after either a stressful or exciting walk (depends whether he is having a good day or bad day, bless him).

Has definitely helped lower our beagle boys anxiety levels over the past couple of months since October when firework season started. He’s still not 100% comfortable with fireworks and thunder going off around him but at least he will now – even if uneasily – sit in the living room with us rather than try to hide under the Christmas tree or under the bathroom rug. He’s taken to wearing it quite well. He doesn’t generally like to be cosseted and Has refused to wear dog coats and certain body harnesses since he was a pup, but he seems ok with this. I ordered two by mistake and intended to return one of them but we’ve decided to keep the other one. It’s been heartbreaking seeing his distress and being unable to alleviate it but I think that were on our way to Successfully managing his anxieties.

Spent 11 years trying to find something to help dog with fear of loud noise. Used thunder shirt for first time on the 5th of November. Shortly after putting it on he settled and went to sleep. No shaking and trying to hide. Wish I had known about this existed when he was a lot younger. Have recommended it to friends.
I never leave reviews really but I have to because I wish I would have known about this sooner I have a 11 year old Jack Russell who has severe separation anxiety we have tried everything over the years to help her nothing has helped apart from this & I cant not believe it! Best 30 I’ve ever spent it really works soon as I put the vest on her we saw a change instantly shes much calmer relaxed we put the test and left her I couldn’t believe it! Usually she would bark the whole time we are gone and pant I’m talking really bad she wpuldnt stop until we came home! I couldn’t decide whether this was a complete waste of money or not, but the returns process seemed very good, so I figured it was worth a try.
My beautiful dog is generally very well adjusted but terrified of planes, fireworks, and other unexpected loud noises.
The difference in his behaviour was immediate when we put the Thundershirt on him. I was genuinely shocked.
He changed from a dog who ran off to hide in the bath and whimper, to having hardly any reaction to fireworks etc.
The size I got him is quite a snug fit, but I believe that’s right.
I’m not suggesting this will work for everyone, but it’s probably one of the best things I’ve bought this year, and almost completely resolved my fella’s anxiety, meaning we could all relax a little bit through Diwali and Fireworks month!

I can’t put improvements solely down to the thundershirt because we had also started him on herbal tablets to help anxiety a month before. However, between the tablets and thundershirt we had a much improved collie through fireworks so far. Last year we had a frantic boy pacing around, wetting himself in fear, shaking, panting etc.this year he has tended to stay in one place and even slept through ones further away, no accidents and only mild panting when we had lots going off overhead.
Thunder shirt helped with firework anxiety/fea
I already had a thunder shirt for my older cocker spaniel. She was petrified of the fireworks. Her brother Alfie (Brown and white) was petrified last year, he was only 8 months he was shaking and so scared. I had both of them in them and they did seem to help this year. Good quality and dogs seem happy to wear them.

This is a very well made garment and fitted fine unfortunately it had little affect on calming my dog who suffers with separation anxiety but I don’t know how it would have worked with fireworks as she doesn’t have a problem with them

We were ready to try anything and really dent expect this to work. Although she was still shaking when she wore this, she was happy to sit with us and eat treats. without the jacket she is so terrified she won’t eat and just hides. My dog was just into the medium size, but the small size would have fitted better.

A good investme
I’m really impressed with this product- we live abroad and it arrived super quick. It’s a lovely material and fits a treat- my dog is happy wearing it and we definitely noticed a difference on our first walk, she didnt react as much as normal. We only received it today but looking forward to using it and seeing the result in the future and super pleased for it to come in time for bonfire night. Thank you

Used a few nights now – its like having a dog in a coma 🙂 he settles down instantly with this.
I have a cockapoo who can be a bit hyper – I noticed sometimes with noises etc he barks and gets excited and just is a totally different dog with this Thundershirt.
With the fireworks he just curled up next to me and didn’t move, he wondered why the other dog was barking (hence another coat being ordered)
It seems to calm my anxious dog.
It fits her well and there is room for adjustment. It doesn’t bother her and she seems happy in it. I bought it for my 15 year old Spaniel who suffers from anxiety. It seems to settle her when she is wearing it and when I take it off the effects seems to last and she remains settled. I’ve had the vest a week and I’m happy with it.
Anxiety coat.
I found it difficult to put on my dog but he doesn’t like coats of any kind. I will use it on Nov 5th as he gets very worried about loud noises and bangs.
A happier more relaxed dog!
We bought this for our Staffy/Patterdale cross who has all kinds of anxiety – seperation, loud noises, other dogs. We bought it with Bonfire night in mind as this causes her distress every year. However, we have found that for her, this is amazing. She is a happier, more relaxed dog whenever she wears it. Walks are less stressfull – the pulling and yapping she did, has gone. She isn’t as distressed by loud noises as she was. This shirt is amazing for her – I just wish we had got her one earlier.

A good product but not for me
I’ve used it once on my border collie and it didn’t seem to make any difference in helping her cope with anxiety. I haven’t given up on it yet and will try it again. The coat itself is well made and fitted snugly. It was also easy to put on, and take off. I haven’t tried cleaning it so can’t comment. I’m really hoping it will work but she is very nervous and timid so I’m not sure that it will. I do recommend it because other pet owners have had success but sadly not with me.

I was skeptical about this product, but having been up for few hours in the middle of the night with a very unsettled dog due to thunder and lightning, decided to order it at 3am!! Seems to be working, however as luck would have we have not had any thunder since ordering 🙂
This is amazing. Our Lhasa apso has always been nervous of loud noised, fireworks, thunder, bangs etc. He seemed to be getting worse with age. He used to shake, dig the carpet up, vomit and hide behind or under furniture. We have tried everything that we could think of including plug ins, tablets, cuddling him and nothing worked. I happen across an article about this thunder jacket and thought I would give it a go. The day it was delivered someone let a firework off at the night time. He went straight behind the tv and started to dig the carpet up. My husband held him ad I put the jacket on him. Within seconds he stopped shaking. He got back on the bed, looked around and laid down, within moments he was asleep. Wow. We couldn’t believe it. We thought it might be a fluke but tonight there was 2 bangs outside, again I got the jacket, by now I could fit it myself as I knew what to do. Again within seconds he stopped shaking, got on the couch and went to sleep. After all those years of despair not knowing what to do for the best we have cracked it.
When you first get the jacket it looks complicated to put on but once you wrap the bit round the neck it’s obvious how to put the rest on. I don’t know how or why it works but it does. It’s also best if after putting the jacket on you ignore the dog and not make a fuss of them, it certainly works for us. So well worth the money. Thank you, thank you thank you.
One hour only
The thundershirt is good but the only thing wrong is that the pet can only were at one hour only then have to have it taken off for a while then put back again only for a hour at a time .

If you have a dog that is terrified of thunder or fire works then I definitely would recommend buying. Only negative for my dog is that he hates having to wear a coat. When this is fitted on to him he will just sit/stand in the middle of the floor stiffly. It takes some encouragement for him to sit down and try to relax. (His barking and howling does stop though so the coat does help)
Nothing bad to say about the coat, my dog just does not like wearing coats.
Transformed our puppy’s separation anxiety.
I thought I would give this a try for our 4 month old Hungarian Vizsla who was suffering terrible separation anxiety when we left him to go to work. We were really worried about him being so destructive in his crate as he clearly was suffering with being left. With nothing to lose we gave this a try and it’s completely transformed him. He’s calm and relaxed now when I come home. He’s no longer destroying his bed. It’s been a complete success for us.
A good help to train the fears away
Useful for stressful events, not the magic fix I was wishing for… but it seems to allow me that extra little bit of time to get Mr Snuffles’ focus on me and calm him down before all hell breaks loose and the bigmouth strikes again. So it does work for my 2yr old anxious fluff, where diffusers, sprays and tablets have failed to help even with my susceptibility to the placebo effect. (Side facts: placebo effect works even when you are aware it’s a placebo, and it also works on dogs!)
On firework nights it has been useful with the TV on loud and a pillow fort to snuggle in. Now he hides on my lap and cuddles, still jumps when they explode and can have a little bark fit but nowhere near the shaking puddle of fear trying to hide in the floor and breaking out in barking fits.
Good purchase, and they refund you if it doesnt work, so worth a try if your puppy is suffering.
Omg I can’t believe the difference noticed as soon as the coat went on. She had recently had an accident and had been so scared by it her anxiety levels had gone through the roof. She’s always been an anxious pup but for the past week she has sat crying , whimpering and howling and very unsettled. I’ve been up constantly throughout the night , trying to calm and settle her.
Last night was her first night In the jacket, she slept right through not even a murmur , she didnt even feel the need to sit up and bark as she does , she’s just lay there chilled.
The material is much softer and thinner than it looks on the advert, she’s super comfy and her movement isn’t restricted. Fits really well I bought a small as she’s only 10 kg

I have a 1 year old rottweiler dog, he not had the best start in life i am his 3rd home, he is very anxious, this coat came today and i have a different dog, so chilled relaxed no shaking just lay down relaxed, when i use hoover he will wee with fear men he wee with fear hoovering today no weeing i hope vet trip next week this coat will help as it is doing great at home and out walking
Calmer Shih Tzu
Just fits out 8kg Shih Tzu, think it would be too big if he was any smaller. He seems to be less stressed and vocal when wearing his thunder jacket although he has still picked a fight with our other dog once while wearing it, but they managed 2 days in each other’s company rather than 20 minutes before this happened, so a big improvement. He is definitely more relaxed and doesn’t chase his tail aggressively whilst wearing it. Good value for the money, easy to put on and well made.
No gimmicks it does what is says on the tin (so to speak)
I have a Bichon Frise and he gets very anxious and sudden and loud noises and barks when strangers to him come into the house.
We were getting alot of work done in our house and various tradesmen were in and out.
I bought this suit to help him and to my amazement it worked immediately, he was a different little dog.
Worked for only around 3 weeks
This is a great idea … just not for my dog I think. It is a wrap around dog coat that wraps securely around you dog to give them a sense of security ( I imagine) . It is of good construction and fitted well.
For the first three weeks or so it certainly did reduce the levels of anxiety that he felt when out on walks. This anxiety comes in the form of barking and violently lunging at certain cars ( the same cars every time) and being aggressive towards other male dogs. I did notice what I judged to be a 50% reduction in his tendency to be affected by the cars and dogs, however the effect then seemed to wear off and within days I was back to square one.
So, as I said, a great idea and i know from friends that it does work .. just not for my dog .
Overall quality is good
The coat fits great however, I have notice no difference with my dogs anxiety. Well made and good quality but I only purchased it in the hope it would help my dogs anxiety.
It's seems to help
My Boy suffers anxiety in the early hours of the morning (03:30). Before using the thunder shirt along with Adaptil he would be unsettled EVERY night waking us up. We are now on week three and there has been an improvement. We still get some nights he gets upset at silly hour . But they are becoming fewer. On the bad nights he now settles down in about 15/20 minutes.

My whippet had dreadful anxiety especially during fireworks, I was really sceptical about the usefulness of the thunder shirt, but have to admit that I saw results as soon as he had it on. He doesn’t appear concerned with the loud bangs anymore. He also wears it when home alone to help with separation anxiety and when out walking as he is dog reactive, seems to help with these issues too. Definitely worth a try.
Works AMAZINGLY!
My 13 yr old Jack Russell hates fireworks or any kind of loud bangs and has done for years, her anxiety is getting worse with age though, after trying all sorts of other therapies for years I bit the bullet this year and bought the Thunder Shirt. My husband laughed off the thought that it would work but OMG we were both AMAZED at the results!! She sat and listened to the bangs and then went to sleep! have not had any panting, shaking, crawling all over us. Would definitely recommend this product to anyone, she will now wear it as much as possible, hopefully it will help with the bin man fear too!
Our Jack Russell, Daisy, has always been an anxious dog, she’ll shiver and whimper for no apparent reason. So come firework season we have to turn on all the lights, put radios on in every room and cuddle her lots, though she would still get worked up. Tonight we put the Thunder Shirt on her about an hour before the fireworks began and wow, what a difference. Daisy didn’t acknowledge the bangs and noise at all. A different dog. She has been totally relaxed all evening so we decided to remove it a few minutes ago but Daisy sat and looked at it and cried, and looked at us so we put it back on her and she has fallen asleep right next to me. So I must say we and Daisy are very happy with this product. She gives it a big paws up!
Measure your dog firs
Fitted well on my large boy GSD but not so well on my Larger Girl GSD due to the lady middle she has. Measure your dogs first is the answer. He is getting on well with it as he is an old boy with much anxiety and he loves the swaddling effect. Good value and always worth a go

I have used anxiety coats before but this is way more durable and seems comfier for my dog. Within 2 minutes of wearing it , he lays down on his bed. Perfect if he is restless in the night as it chills him out so he sleeps right through, meaning we sleep better too. Recently had building works happen near the home and this helped us no end with a nervous dog. Highly recommend
Best dog purchase I ever made!
Living near an active airfield with fast jets, our JRT called Mabel hates the sound of them taking off. She’s terrified, runs and hides and sometimes will throw herself at you to feel safe.
We brought her a thunder shirt, slightly sceptical if I’m honest. But it’s amazing! She loves it. The sounds of the jets taking off does still make her a bit scared, but not as bad as she was. This jacket has changed our little Mabel’s life! She loves to wear it, she’d live in it if she could!
Our little Jack Russell suffers from separation anxiety and barks and gets really worked up at the slightest hint of anyone leaving the house. She also reacts to every noise outside of the house by barking or growling.
I felt bad for her living in this constant state of anxiety and so thought I’d give the ThunderShirt a whirl.
And WOW! So glad I did. INSTANT calm.
My husband came in from the outside and instead of barking and rushing over she just sat there, cool as a cucumber and watched him come in! I’ve deliberately left the house several times now, and no reaction. Nothing.
She’s super chilled. And she seems to like being in it too.
I’ve now taught her the word for her shirt and tell her when I’m going to put it on. She let’s me do it no problem, so I know she likes it.

I bought this jacket to try and calm a small dog who gets very anxious when travelling in the car (thank you everyone who answered my question). The jacket arrived quickly and is good quality. Easy to fit (once I had read the instuctions!) Slightly small but the jacket is meant to be tight fitting so that wasn’t a problem.
Have been using the jacket for some months now and it is helping a bit. Poppy still pants but no longer shakes as much. While the jacket hasn’t completely solved the problem i will persevere with it and would recommend it to anyone else with the same problem.
