This compact vax carpet cleaner is a must for any house with carpets. So lightweight and easy to use. Had it assembled and working in 15 mins – carpet in hall looks like new and pile has been restored! This wee beauty is going to save me a fortune and leaves a clean fresh aroma in rooms. Wish I’d bought this years ago. Cleaning carpets is a dream not a chore. Highly recommend – good value for money.
once I’d stopped using it like a traditional hoover ie much slower (let the brush really massage wettened carpet, and come back to stubborn stained areas a few times) additionally only release water solution on the out push so it suck up on the back pull. You can see the used water being sucked back up. Im pleased with the results,
and delightfully shocked at how filthy the carpet was!!
Less happy how slowly it took to dry off, windows and doors open for 10 hours, warm day, then Was away for 3 days and came back to a horrible smell of wet sheep ( carpet synthetic) room needed plenty of airing again.
A slight gripe, the dirty water container can’t be dissembled for cleaning. And I could not get the brush detached either. Didn’t want to force it. I’m fortunate enough to have a hose attachment on my sink so I was able to use that. It can be done, but I’m sure it could be manufactured differently for ease of cleaning.
Overall I’m glad I got it. It is light weight even with a full water tank. Easy to use. I only need to use it once more and it’s covered it’s cost compared with eg: RugDoctor hire.

This is honestly one of the best, and most useful, purchases I’ve ever made. We just got a puppy, which unfortunately means we’ve had to do a lot of accident clean up whilst we’re housetraining her. We looked into renting a carpet cleaner for 24 hours, but decided this would end up costing us way more in the long run, and that buying our own made more sense. And my god it does. We have a very large rug in the living room which gets a lot of traffic – human and dog – and this thing cleans it beautifully. You have to vacuum really well first, but once you’ve gone over it a few times with this cleaner it comes up a treat. The only drawback, and I know this is due to its compact size, is that you need to empty the tank quite a few times, but that’s not a big deal to me. Also, getting the tank clean afterwards can be a bit of a faff but, again, a small price to pay for something that gets your carpets looking new again. I can’t recommend this enough, it’s been an absolute godsend.
This is my second Vax carpet shampooer. The first was very bulky and I had great difficulty using it so I passed it onto a friend. Decided to buy this smaller version and I have not been disappointed. Light weight and very easy to use. My only issue is the water bottle leaks slightly when you fill it so you have to be quick to re-attach it to the machine. Otherwise no issues. Would recommend.
Love this machine… A sausage dog used to live here, a year ago…this machine brought up hair that our Henry hoover didn’t!!!
My Daughter thought the amount of hair was a deceased bird, there was so much of it!!
What we didn’t like..Husband had to dismantle the roller to get to all the grit/fluff/dirt to clean it properly…imagine it would pong after a while if just stored away dirty…
I did the two bedrooms in the morning..hall n lounge as we went to bed…drying time for us was about 4 hours

Great little machine
Very pleased with this purchase. I had bought and returned another brand because suction wasn’t great, so I had expected this to be better but hadn’t realised just how much better! My carpet was heavily soiled, and is like new. Stains and smells are gone and it’s fluffy again. I might add I have a dog, so carpet probably worse than others. Can’t wait to do the while house with this. Highly recommended.
Its smalll and light weigh
Its perfect for my needs, I live in a bungalow so no stairs, it would not be useful on stairs. Most of my floors are hard wood but I do have a number of rugs, and for those its ideal. None too heavy and small enough for storage.

What a great cleaner so easy to use no issues what so ever and did a fantastic job on normal carpets. Can’t see how you would use it on stairs there is not attachment hence one star for that. The tank of water lasts a couple of minutes and I needed about five tanks for an average room but it’s so easy to refill. The dirty water tank holds about 2/3 tanks of water. My carpets are really clean and bright looking defiantly a great buy really recommend
A thing of beauty that does what it says
Attractive and easy to use, it made my old carpet look like new and kept spewing out great clumps of pet hair. As always with these things, it wasn’t too easy to clean the actual machine afterwards. I didn’t buy it for the tools it didn’t come with, so can’t really comment on cleaning stairs with it.
Straightforward
I think for the size and price this is more than adequate for small areas of carpet. I am pleased with the results I have had so far after 5 uses – yes the water reservoir does not hold much but if any bigger the machine would be a lot heavier – easy to fill so no biggie. I agree a pain to have to unscrew the brush protector to clean out any debris but really not sure how people are so bothered as you don’t need to unscrew as after use it is easy to scoop up any carpet pile or pet hair when wet as slides out and most is at the back and side of the brush – I bought a sink plug hair remover (a long flexible narrow plastic stick) just in case but up to now not had to use. I do have a large heavy duty Vax Rapide carpet cleaner which is still going after over 20 years and have to get the pet hair out of the brush in same way – really like this new much lighter version which great for quick clean ups. For someone with a bad back…I needed a carpet cleaner that was light weight, easy to put together…..and take apart to empty. I don’t have stairs to clean but it is excellent on flat carpet and rugs. Suction power excellent!!

Our carpet was really dirty had to refill the water bottle nearly 10 times. Does the job and cleans the carpet very well. I recommend it.

ALTHOUGH THE MACHINE IS QUITE NOISY, IT IS NOT AS BAD AS SOME I HAVE HAD IN THE PAST.
THE BRUSHES ROTATING MAKE A BIG DIFERENCE TO HOW WELL THE CARPETS ARE CLEANED. IF YOU HAVE FAIRLY THICK CARPETS, MAN MADE OR WOOL, GO OVER THE CARPET A FEW TIMES TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE EXTRACTED AS MUCH WATER AS POSSIBLE.
I HAD MY CARPETS PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED LAST YEAR. BUT I WAS UNHAPPY WITH THE RESULTS AND HOW LONG THEY TOOK TO DRY. THIS LITTLE MACHINE BROUGHT MY CARPETS UP VERY WELL. THEY DID NOT TAKE AS LONG TO DRY AS THE PROFESSIONAL CLEANER. AFTER A QUICK VACUUM THE NEXT DAY, THEY LOOK VERY NICE AND SMELL CLEAN.
REMEMBER, THIS IS A LITTLE CARPET CLEANER. DON’T ASK IT TO DO TOO BIG A JOB.
ALSO, AFTER EMPTYING THE MACHINE, MAKE DOUBLY SURE YOU PUT THE PLUG BACK IN REALLY TIGHT. IF YOU DON’T THE MACHINE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PICK UP AS MUCH WATER!

Excellent Cleane
Having decorated my Daughter’s modestly-sized Bedroom, I wanted to clean the Carpet before putting all the furniture back.
The bedroom is regularly well-swept, so I was very surprised at the level of congealed dust that resulted from using the Vax. Plus, the colour of the resulting dirty water was horrific. Despite appearances you don’t appreciate how dirty a Carpet can get over time.
It wasn’t the reason for buying the Vax, but my Daughter suffers from mild Asthma: so the added benefit of using the Vax is to further remove the ingrained dust present in her Bedroom Carpet.

DECENT VALUE
I was not looking for something to do a whole room , just several dirty patches, including two large dirty marks. It cleaned the big marks very well indeed. Perhaps as well I did not want to do a big room as a tank full does have it’s limitations. The instructions say vacuum the room beforehand, which is more than necessary , as even with pre-vacuuming I found with the strong suction it was picking up a lot of fluff, so cleaning out after use is an absolute essential.
It is decent value and does a good job, but don’t expect industrial usage.

Handy cleaner for everyday messes
Handy size to clean carpet whenever required. We have an elderly dog who is incontinent and wees on the carpet regularly. I have only used the cleaner once as I’ve only had it two days but it did a good job. Removed a lot of dirt. Not much larger than some vacuum cleaners and easy to use. I am happy so far with it.

What I really like about this carpet cleaner is that it’s super easy to use: you just fill the vertical tub with warm water and a bit of carpet shampoo and you go! The dirt is collected in the container that is closer to the carpet. You empty that, refill the top one and repeat until you’re done. I prefer to treat the carpets last thing before bedtime, so they have time to dry out till the morning. Great tool!

Carpet refreshed and not too wet only but is as others have stated in order to clean the brushes there are 5 or six screws to take off in order to get to the brushes and disentangle the hair and debris accumulated around the brushes and it needs to be done every time design could be improved but otherwise happy

The washer is compact and does not take much space. It is very easy to use – takes minutes to fill the clean water and detergent and to empty the dirty water. The cleaning is good enough and in line with similar or even more expensive ones.

I saw this one suggested on comments for a different cleaner and that’s how I found it!Arrived this morning and I already used it and I can’t happier.The carpets are really old and stepped who know for how many years.I also have two dogs that who have thrown up multiple times on them.The results are amazing.One small tip:Do go fast.Give time to the brushes and the suction to do their magic
Light and easy to use
I found this carpet washer extremely easy to use and very light to push and pull. It cleaned my cream carpets which have been down for over 4 years very well. I was pleased that they came up so well without having to soak the carpets.
I have a dehumidifier and the carpets dried very quickly with the help of this unit. I also washed slightly shaggy navy bedside rugs which are even older. I was a little apprehensive with these having a longish pile, but it did the job beautifully!
Suitable for smaller rooms
Used it for the first time to freshen my lounge carpet. Very pleased with the result. Not too heavy to use and not complicated.
Brilliant carper cleane
I looked at cheaper carpet cleaners and was tempted to purchase, but for the sake of another 30 I opted for the VAX, it’s. brand you can trust, and it really works brilliantly, I have not tried it on the stairs yet, but all other rooms we used it, easy and simple to use, very pleased with our purchase. Will save us Money in the future as not having to hide a carpet cleaner.

Takes at least 6 hours to dry.
If you go over the carpet a few times sucking the water up, I think the time would have been better.
Suction good and better than normal hoover (animal hair extra …so called hoover).
Had Hoovered before but picked up so much dog hair.
Does not do the stairs as no attachments.
Maybe have been better to pay a little more for a button for just suction to try and get any excess water up. And one with stairs attachments.
Suggested in instructions, if you did not move furniture to put foil underneath the legs. I suggest that you keep this on the feet until carpet fully dried.
Next clean ….when the sun is shining and warmer.
The bottle which came with it did hall and living room and still some left.
When finished, does leak abit until machine fully dry (yes I emptied it) so stand on paper (we used puppy pads which had spare !).
You don’t have to unscrew the front to clean when finished, I lifted the whole machine up to clean the front, to run under the tap.
Very convenient to use
This carpet cleaner was easy to assemble, to fill, use and empty. It is light weight, convenient and efficient so I have used it several times already and will continue to do so.

Well what can I say. After having the stupid orange drag around Henry styled Vax for so long that literally only sucks water up and I had to manually scrub the stains myself, I was very impressed with how aggressive the scrubbing brush is on this tiny upright. This things idiot proof. Had a oil stain that I’ve been saving on the carpet in the hallway for months and either the solution supplied with this is really really good or the brush is that good it makes light work of the stain. Even the parts that looked clean come up even brighter. The suction beats the oldie hands down the carpet is practically dry. There is a minor set back that I really don’t mind as I don’t really have much carpet and that’s the size of the tanks for clean and dirty water but it would be cruel to give it any bad review as it’s marketed as a lightweight compact carpet cleaner. If you have a load of carpet then get the bigger one. If it’s remotely as good as this you won’t be disappointed. The old orange one has been stripped for the motor for fume extraction in the shed and the plastic wanged in the trash. I now have a nice clean great smelling carpet.

Cleans carpets really well and is easy to handle
I used to have a VAX carpet cleaner many years ago; it worked well enough but was heavy and unwieldy and was very difficult to clean. This product however is far better; it cleans carpets really well and is light enough for my wife to handle (so that let’s me off the hook and is reason enough to buy it guys), and it’s easy to clean too.
However it doesn’t have any cleaning attachments, for upholstery etc and, as others have commented, cleaning the brush unit involves the use of a screwdriver (so guys, you will need to get involved after all).
Proper power for cleaning puppy puddles
This is perfect for cleaning up after a puppy who’s not yet toilet trained.
Gets stains and dark marks out with ease.
Leaves a nice fresh subtle smell that’s not overpowering or dominating.
I would advise after doing a pass with the trigger pulled in do a few very slow passes again without any spray to get the most moisture out of the carpet.
Carpet’s still a bit damp after use but dries quick.
Comes with a mini bottle of their platinum solution, I found the ultra+ pet solution works better for my needs.
If you’re doing a main room you will need to refill the bottle a couple of times, 1 bottle is perfect for a hallway/landing.

I ‘uhmed’ and Ahmed’ about buying this and looked at the other models with more attachments on here but ultimately the compact lightweight and vax name just tipped it for me.
I can’t tell you how amazed I am by this, easy to set up, use, fill and empty – ok so you might have several fill and empty trips to do but honestly that’s a small price to pay to have a fabulously clean carpet. It took 5 fills for two large bedrooms. Very little solution needed and like new carpets!
Excellent Vax
Bought this to replace a wet and dry Vax I had for years. What an improvement! Lighter and easy to manoeuvre. Beating action removes marks much easier and leaves carpet much drier than my old model. Should have bought one ages ago.

Great product for price .so easy to use bought this to suck up water from a leak from next door into my shop.. capet soaking wet sucked up buckets full of water . Wouldn’t be any good on stairs but great for traffic areas . You cant add on to

Easy to put together. Clear instruction booklet. Small bottle of shampoo included. Easy to clean the machine parts apart from the front head which needs unscrewing. Very effective at cleaning the carpet. Suction power great. Small and compact to store but man enough for the job.
I just rented a flat and it didn’t smell nice. I suspected the carpets (deodoriser powders and vacuums didn’t really work) I can only describe the waste water from the carpet as liquid mud. The carpets are damp but already smell and look so much better. Money very well spent. (Did consider hiring a carpet cleaner but for 99 I can clean my carpets whenever) Yes. Very pleased and certainly recommend this.
I will say that the fresh water bottle runs out quite quickly and the area it cleans is small so several refills and emptying of dirty water container needed for larger rooms. The machine noise changes when the dirty water container is full and it no longer sucks ftom the carpet, so you know when it needs emptying without needing to check it.

Easy to use carpets came up lovely and clean suction is great, carpets were almost dry only down side cleaning it afterwards was difficult as regards the brush area, I think the design on the brush removal could be made easie

I only gave 3 stars for easy to use as I have a bad back and even the lightweight vacuum cleaner aggravates it. On the whole 99 percent brilliant! Really happy with this purchase!
Let go of the trigger when you want the machine to suck up the wate
Machine was very easy to use and gave effective results. Carpets were clean once used. It has two water containers one for clean one for dirty water so you are always using clean water. Easy to clean and put back together when used. Carpets took longer to dry than stated time but that was probably down to me when first using the machine. I had to keep remembering to let go of the trigger when wanting to suck up water.
Easy to use
Clear instructions. I used this on my small living room carpet which was pretty dirty and never been cleaned before. The dog had accidents which never really came up stain free after mopping up. I was unsure if this little machine would do the job but I was left amazed at the result. I will have to go over some parts again but all in all I’m more than happy. Easy to empty water chamber and to refill. I would recommend this machine to anyone.
Decent carpet cleane
Once familiar with the machine its very simple to use which is its greatest feature, and left the carpet looking and feeling fresh. After use I take it outside to hose down the brush head and filter making cleaning easy as well

Excellent cleaner. Small, compact and fairly lightweight. Cleans well leaving carpets only slightly damp.
My only criticism is the dirty water tank rubber plug is indented to keep it flush with the exterior of the tank, however this means that inside the tank it’s raised about 5mm. This prevents you draining all the water out.
Such a small , but stupid design fault. The other problem is that the brush bar cover traps dirt which cannot be cleaned without unscrewing the whole bottom section- completely impractical. If the top, clear part of the cover clipped off, it could be cleaned as well as the brush. WHO actually designs these products- presumably someone that doesn’t use them in real life.
Compact and powerful
Absolutely delighted with my Vax compact carpet cleaner, so glad I chose this as perfect for my needs as I only have a large rug in my living room and stairs and landing, although doesn’t come wth any attachments I think if I carefully hold the machine I could actually do each step, the dirt that came out of my rug is disgusting, it’s very light weight to use and very powerful . It was extremely simple to put together, you won’t be disappointed

I usually cba to write a review but feel I have to. Moving out of my. House and getting it fir to rent out. I couldn’t hire a rug doctor as non available so I took a punt on this. I didn’t have high expectations and fully expected to have to replace the carpet on the teenage boy cave. As you can see from photo. This did a sterling job. Arrived an hour ago and done 3 big rooms. Good first impressio
Bought this to replace our old vax, wanted something smaller as we only have carpets upstairs also easier to store.
Easy to set up & much lighter weight ,comes with a small shampoo which is probably enough for one room.Cleans well so far only small niggles not easy to clean around the brush bar you have to take out the screws.
Dirty water container only a small hole to clean it out and no attachments to clean stairs ,but it is there entry level machine so maybe this is reflected in the price.

I have a small bungalow and 3 large dogs, so dirt etc gets tracked into the house and carpets. Bought this vax, as I dont have much storage space and the reviews seemed pretty good. I really like it. Yes, you do have to refill the water/solution is few times if you’re doing a large area but it’s really made a difference to my rugs and carpets. I would recommend, its lightweight and easy to use too.
Perfect for very small areas and lightweigh
I purposefully bought this as having previously had a all singing carpet washer that was great when younger and lived in house, I now needed a more lightweight and compact machine. this ticks those boxes.
However just to bring to your attention. The maintenance side of things ie cleaning the roller bar, nozzle etc is A RIGHT PAIN in the ****
It requires you to remove 6+ Screws different sizes and then obviously remember were they fit when reassembling. I havnt quite got the hang of how to clean the nozzel other than rinsing. There is a ( filter) too , I found using an old toothbrush helped.
It overall suits my purposes as I dont need to wash carpets more than twice a year , I don’t have pets or kids. for spot cleaning your better with hand held supermarket products.
It recommend using Vax products to ensure guarentee is kept etc. I manage 2 small carpets with a one lt bottle.
Its early days as only used twice, once on my carpets, then again at friends house.
we actually split the cost…good saving if your retired-chronic ill.
overall yes I would recommend for flat,bungelow etc but a larger family size home or if you have stairs or want to use in car this is not right product.

I got this because my elderly dog wees everywhere. This gets it all out the carpet.

Love this little carpet cleaner. My carpets have been desperately needing cleaned for a long time but I was not in a position to justify the cost of a cleaner. I also have a very small house so was worried about using a massive, heavy, bulky cleaner. This one is perfect for me, it’s a great price and because it’s a vaxx i.knew I would be able to trust it. It’s small and very lightweight. The detergent that comes with it smells lovely too. The only downside is that because it’s small, the dirty water chamber fills quickly but it’s a doddle to empty and add new water to the clean water section. I have only done upstairs and was shocked at the colour of the water considering we don’t wear shoes upstairs at all. All in all, highly recommended,I’m delighted with my purchase.
Good little machine, easy to set up and easy to handle, clean my carpet very well, only down side you have to refill constantly, but that’s a small issue. Would definitely recommend. Am Happy that I bought it.
Disadvantage: spare toothbrush going to be your best friend cleaning under the brush, because it takes up a lots of hair and stuff from the carpet even tho its hoovered properly.
It can’t be pulled apart, unless you unscrew the bottom, which is alot of work.
And lastly ” Noise ” its loud.
I still would buy again, because it gets the job ( Done ).

Just moved house and this carpet cleaner has literally transformed the living room. Thought the carpet may have to go but I am shocked at how well the vax lifted trodden in and built up dirt within the pile. It’s super easy to use, light, compact and well priced. Loving this product.

I have a much bigger Vax carpet shampooer but it was getting too heavy for me too use. I have a very mucky dog so a carpet shampooers is a vital part of my life. I was a bit reluctant to buy a smaller version to the one I have got but I am so glad I did.
So easy to put together. Took about 5 minutes. I was amazed how good it was if not better than my old one. Whizzed through my whole house in no time. Even got an old stain up that I thought was irremovable.
Even when I vacuum there are always a certain amount of dog hair left which tended to get stuck in my old shampooer. With this one it is so easy to clear because the area under the brush is so accessible.
Would recommend.

The brushes are stiff to rotate, not power driven. Does the job, and is lightweight.

This has only been in my possession for a matter of hours so this might be a premature review, but this is already my new favourite toy!! Very lightweight and easy to use, and the results are disgusting and satisfying in equal measures. Came with a 250ml bottle of cleaning solution which I hadn’t realised – easily enough to do a few rooms. You can control how much liquid is sprayed and you can keep going over the carpet without spraying liquid if you want to suck up as much liquid as possible.

If you rent you MUST buy one of these . We got this after getting a new place and thinking that the carpets needed a wash . This was cheaper than getting it done by a company as they wanted to charge us 80 quid for just the living room .
We literally did a quick test strip over the carpet and LOOK at the dirt that came out. We are very impressed. Its so worth getting.

Cleans as well as more expensive vax
I purchased a bigger more expensive vax carpet cleaner but when this broke I opted for this one as it suited my budget better. I wasn’t expecting it to match up to my previous carpet cleaner, but I’m impressed. It is so light and cleaned my carpets and rugs just as good as my bigger more expensive vax! The only difference is this one has a smaller tank therefore you have to fill and empty it more.

This was highly recommended on Amazon so took a chance and put son to work. Well Ben is out of work. What a little star of a machine! Only ate it would buy a rug with white on, I did. It’s tackled it beautifully and the bright colours are back. Absolutely brilliant investment. Light, easy to use, simple to clean even the brushes and very effective.
Good but noisy
Pretty good for the size and not too heavy. 2 big down sides though. Firstly it uses the solution in the tank pretty darn quickly because it sucks up the fluid as it hits the carpet so you’re only using about a third of it on the carpet. Second, it’s too damn loud. I’ve used many floor and carpet cleaners, but nothing as loud as this. If you’re thinking of getting one, then I advise getting some noise blocking earplugs.
Gets the carpet clean but has big design flaw.
Bought this to clean sons flat (it had a fair bit of spillage over 4vyears). The thought of trying to hire someone during covid seemed like a hassle. Anyway it certainly works. You do need to go over ingrained stains several times and be careful not to let it run when not in motion.
The designs let down is why it doesn’t get 5 stars. Even after extensive pre-hoovering the brushes still pick up fluff and they push it into the front plastic area where the cleaning fluid comes out, blocking the fluid from an even distribution. There is no easy way to get the fluff out. The instructions for removing the brush bar are useless and I can’t find a youtube video explaining how to do it. Even if I can get the bar out I am not sure it will assist in removing the fluff.

This has got to be the best product I have bought in years, easy to use and great cleaning power.I have 2 dogs and this has been with its weight in gold. Nobody likes a house that smells of dog so I freshen the carpets once a month. I love this vax cleane
Keeping carpets clea
My last Vax carpet cleaner, although very good was bulky and quite heavy. I found it cumbersome to use (especially on stairs) and it took up considerable space to store. That said, I love the Vax brand and have (almost) always found products to be well built, easy to use, reliable and fairly priced. This carpet cleaner is no exception.
It’s very light weight with a compact design makeing it easy to steer over carpet without any real effort. There’s no complicated set up, just a container which stores the clean water and solution at the back and one at the bottom which collects the dirty water from the carpet. Both compartments are easy to remove, fill/empty and return to position.
This is a no frills, no fuss cleaner so there’s no attachments for getting into the corners or tackling the stairs. It’s basic stature however, doesn’t mean it’s function is compromised. I was astonished at just how much dirt it brought out of my upstairs (thick pile) carpets during the first use which are vacuumed every other day in an area where outdoor shoes are banned! It leaves my carpets looking clean and smelling fresh. I should point out that I have been using the Vax branded detergent (with a couple of drops of lemon essential oil) and hot (but not boiling) water because I find the slightly hotter water to be more effective at removing dirt and resoring the pile (Vax recommend the use of warm water). Carpets also take about 4-6 hours to dry, but this is probably due to the fact I’m probably more generous than necessary when using and tend to use more water.

I recently purchased a larger more expensive carpet cleaner and it was a total waste of money, ended up selling it for a fraction of the price paid.
The only drawback is that it doesn’t have a stair/upholstery attachment otherwise an excellent purchase highly recommended.
Better than expected
We have very light grey thick pile carpet upstairs which was desperate for an overall clean after 2 years, decided on this model for ease of getting it upstairs. Easy to set up and although the water tank needs frequent filling it’s not a drama. Super pleased with performance, the water was filthy and the carpet pile looked like new again. Comes with small sample bottle. Do it early in the day as it takes a long time to dry but totally worth it.

I forgot what my carpet looked like. Took me about an hour because I had to go over a few spots. Used 4 containers of water and about a third of the little solution. Glad I bought more because I want to do my landing once this is dry
Really good and easy to use
Really light and easy to use. Uses the water up quickly so if you don’t mind refilling often it’s a good cleaner. Seems to work really well one of the best I’ve had, shame it’s not got a hose for stairs but it’s small enough to do each step. I would highly recommend this cleaner.

Great for a little house with messy boys
Not for stairs. Not for large areas. I have a small 3 bed house and it is perfect for what I needed it for, (I have 2 messy boys)
It picked up pet hair from the precious house owner too (I’ve been living here a year already and have a dyson hoover)
You have to refill the solution up after a short space. But it is a compact version so I am ok with this.

It’s good for the money but not great.
One major flaw is that it spits out wet balls of fluff/hair randomly every 20-30 seconds. Some get sucked up but mostly they get thrown back out onto the carpet. Very annoying and on my bedroom carpet I ended up with a handful of black sock fluff, hairs and carpet fluff at the end which I had to picked up during the clean.
Dries surprisingly quick (about an hour) and you can see the dirty water how good it is. I recommend hoovering up the next day once the wet balls of fluff you missed are dry.
Not suitable for stairs or upholstery as no extra tools included.

Cant praise this neat compact cleaner enough, came with a bottle of ‘ premium’ shampoo, I took before and after , very impressed … don’t have stairs so it’s ideal as it doesn’t have attachments, suction was great , instructions are very easy, cleaning brush involves taking the front of but not too much hassle…

Great little carpet cleaner.Its a must that you hoover first and i have found it best to do a small area at a time and make sure you suck the water up as the shampoo goes down fast so spend time going over the area to get it as dry as possible,it gets carpets really clean.

Works well it is very noisy but quite light. I knew before it came that it did not have a stair attachment and on reflection this was a mistake and i wish i had purchased one with an attachment. The tank does not last long and you do have to top up regularly but i do not have big areas to do so ok for me. It dries surprising quickly if you follow instructions and don’t rush it.

This carpet cleaner is fabulous! As a natural sceptic I ordered the Vax thinking “we will see”, now I am thinking Oh My Goodness! This really works! It is very easy to set-up and exceptionally easy to use. It is light and very easy to manoeuvre. It is very easy to fill and to empty. Suction power is amazing. I could not believe the dirt that came out of my rug and bedroom carpet! I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this cleaner. It is going to become my favourite purchase!

Simple and effective
Very easy to use had it up and running within 5 minutes and it made a massive difference to my carpet. The heavy traffic area looks clean for the first time in years, wish I had bought this sooner as I would have saved a tone of money on foam cleaners. Comes with a 250ml bottle of cleaning fluid which was enough to do a room 14’x18′

This is brilliant and cleans effectively. Easy to fill and empty. My only complaint is how difficult it is to remove the perspect shield that covers the brushes to clean the fluff from the brushes and under the shield itself. Very hard but hope it will get easier in time
Lightweight and very easy to use
This is so lightweight and so quick and easy to use. Perfect for when you have animals, children and need to clean spills or Marks away quickly. You can clean your carpets so regularly with no fuss. I’ve had others in the past and not used them as they were to much hassle. This is as easy as using a normal vacuum. The only downside is no attachment for stairs, but hen I didn’t want it for that.
I have a bit of a thing for vacuums and carpet cleaners, I’ve had the large vax power one (grey and orange – can’t recall the formal name) and a bissell spot cleaner however this is THE one. Its lightweight, and so much easier to use than the full size cleaner. You do have to refill the tank a few times but I don’t mind that as I use this more frequently due to it being lightweight, which is what I was looking for. I live in the country so have more ‘mud/dust’ enter the house, 3 cats, a dog and a husband who can be a bit of a spiller!
One tip that has made it so much better that I saw online is to rinse the carpet after it’s cleaned to remove residue of the washing liquids. This is a very good tip, I couldn’t figure out in the past why my carpet seemed to get dirty so quickly but the soaps attract dirt! I hope this review is helpful – if you’re hesitant, I’d absolutely recommend this!

Price of this Vax is superb compared to other main brands. Cleaning power was better than expected as we have 2 rather mucky pups who have the rather frequent mistakes on the carpet. Even after first use, the carpets came up as good as new. The colour of the water was like black coffee. You don’t need much detergent, and the collection bin for dirty holds about 2 full clean reservoirs, so you are not emptying too often. I would have expected this to cost 2-3 times as much when you see the performance. As good if not better than the ones that you hire. The only improvement would be a separate wand for doing small areas or for car use for me. Thoroughly recommend.

Well what can i say but WOW, I have had cream carpets for 10 years and with a toddler you can imagine the mess they got into. I have used countless carpet products, and none of the stains would budge, even with countless hours of scrubbing. After one go with this the stains were either completely gone or you needed a magnifying glass to see them to see where they were,

Had a much larger and heavier carpet cleaner before. This one is an ideal size and weight for us to use more regularly. Cleaned carpets well and not too wet so dried quickly. You do need to refill halfway through cleaning but not a problem as so easy to refill.
Only gripe is cleaning brushes of carpet fluff ( no point unscrewing and taking brushes out as didn’t help! ). However a small wire brush, paint brush and winding kitchen roll around the brushes sorted it. This was always a problem with our original cleaner so used to it!

Delighted with the prompt delivery . Instruction booklet clear with diagrams . Set to work on stained carpet (following an illness , enough said) in bedroom and hall and despite the fact I had hoovered the day before was amazed at the amount of lint and rubble drawn out. Carpet looks great. Soft and better than new with all stains removed. Looking forward to working my way through the rest of the house .
I haven’t stared the stairs yet but plan to try. It’s a long 14 step straight stairway so may ask a friend to be present when I do.

I’m very pleased with my Vax. Carpets cleaned up like new. Only gave 4 stars because there is no way to use on stairs. Would have paid extra for stair attatchment.
Great compact carpet cleane
This compact carpet cleaner is great for my carpets and rugs. Lovely and light to manoeuvre, suction was good and cleaned very well. Good size, not too big like so many carpet cleaners. The foot tread on my stairs is quite shallow, so this Vax, doesn’t work for me on stairs. Vax, if you could design the Compact with stair attachments, it would be perfect!
