I was so nervous about getting this safe after I read the reviews about the difficulties with the key and the Yale sticker being difficult to come off, along with the issues with setting up the keypad and the battery compartment.- but I decided to take a risk-given the price.
On arrival I was expecting all of these issues and was ready to write my reviews to add to all the others- BUT the safe proved me wrong it was sooooo simple to set up and everything worked perfectly. In my head I was thinking surely it can’t be this easy if people have had issues with it. But it was. For what I need it for it is PERFECT! It’s sturdy for something so small and works just fine for me! I’m very pleased!

Very good value hotel safe for the home. The trick to entering the code is to press the reset button in the battery compartment, which will turn on a green light, then enter the code while the light is still on. The Towet of Babel instructions don’t make this clear.

Good safe , but something went wrong in transit.
The parcel ws delivered next door, and the outer box was ripped open. There wasn’t any manual , just a poor instruction paper. No details about how to put a combination in. Apart from that ,the safe seems quite sturdy and locks well enough with the key.

I think the safe is good value for money, I tried the bump method to open the old one and was unsuccessful so I can’t see a problem with this one.

Very simple to fit although I drilled bigger holes to accommodate expansion bolts to fasten to the wall. The combination lock can take up to eight digits so it’s very difficult to work out a combination.
This is a good quality and medium sized safe perfect for home use. My only negative feedback is that the instructions are hopeless! They are pictorial only and I had to search for written instructions on the internet. Once I had these is was very easy to set up and use-Please include written instructions for future!!

What a great product, I have no hesitation in giving this 5 stars.
I had moment of panic after ordering when I checked the dimensions again but it’s turned up and its perfect, it’s like the holiday safes you get in a hotel room. We wanted it to house a few valuables and important documents.
The safe is quite weighty, really well built and solid. It comes with simple picture instructions, batteries, two override keys and some fixing bolts, it has fixing holes in the base and the back of the safe, I think I’ll use both for additional security.
At just over 25 I think this represents very good value for money.

Handy little home safe.
Does what it’s supposed to and a reasonable size. Supplied with the batteries needed and it’s not too heavy. One thing we came across though was when moving the safe, the batteries and cover tend to come dislodged easily and you’ll need the key to get back in and reseat them.
Bolts are supplied if you want to floor fasten, but that seems too much effoert – well for me anyway !
Have had this a few weeks now and it’s seems to do the job. I bolted it to the wall and the top of the cupboard it sits on and it is very secure, I did add big washers to the fixing kit to improve things. Have tried banging the top whilst trying to turn the handle as stated in other reviews and I can confirm that mine doesn’t open. big enough to get all of our documents in. Very easy to set up
I love this safe. I’d seen the negative responses, and when it came, I could tell it was well built. I tried banging the top of it and turning the latch as people had suggested it opened it, but it doesn’t. I don’t see how it would either. It’s solid steel cylindrical bars that lock horizontal, there’s no way banging the top of it can unlock it.

Can’t fault it. It’s what you pay for! Not sure how so many people struggled to understand instructions! On the paper is really obvious. When setting you pin make sure you press reset button that beeps, while door open still type you made up code and press enter! Close your safe making sure your keys not inside the safe, then type code you made up and set then press key button!

A very safe safe
Decent sized safe. Cannot get into when locked, which is what you want in a safe really. Came with bolts to secure the safe down, 2 keys and batteries to power the keypad. Very happy with my purchase it arrived quick, was packaged well and works great. Great in home safe for protecting valuables 🙂

This was bought for use in our church. It is robust (as one would expect) but easy to programme with a code, easy to bolt into the wall and easy to use. Because it is used by several people it is ideal not having to continually pass round a key, as happened previously. I would recommend this safe.

It great apart from the fixings, they where rawlplugs rather than anger fixings and one of the rawlplugs was half missing.
Not quite as sturdy feeling as I was hoping, but for our use it is more than adequate. Ideal for storing documents, passports, jewellery etc in. Easy to program and can be bolted down also for added security.

Great product is what you would expect from Yate, however do yourself a favour and throw the fixing kit in the bin!! Cheap nasty fixings that either churn or break! YALE do your self a favour and change supplier your product is reliant on sub standard quality
First class for the price!
Bought this for our son for Christmas. Even though it’s a commercial product it is by far his favourite gadget at the moment.
Ignore the manufacturers instruction for setting up the keypad entry – they’re useless and you can find better instructions through a google search.
Compact modern little safe

Great For Camper van.
I used this safe inside my van tucked in underneath the bed/seat. It offers me a good place to store my MacBook pre retina, you could probably fit 5 in stacked on top of one another.

It isn’t a safe that I would use for my life savings but does the job to store keys/ipad/important documents. I have tried the “trick” to open this safe without the key/code and it didn’t work for me. So I’m really happy with this purchase, decent safe for the price

Very pleased with this purchase, looks exactly as shown in the picture. It’s big enough to store money, passports or any important documents. Comes with screws if you wish to screw the safe anywhere. The key hole is covered with a yellow YALE plastic thing which you need to pull off completely, (it took me a while to take the plastic thing off, i had to use a knife.)
However, the only issue i had was that the instructions were illustrations without any use of words which I found a bit confusing when setting my code. Nevertheless, I love this safe and i will purchase a larger version in the nearby future if required.

Good quality product. It is really a small safe, for storing not an extremely expensive stuff (like the keys for you Bentley, or 20 kg of gold). I watched a numerous videos on how to open cheap low-cost safes, this item is designed not to be opened that easy, in a short time or without any loud noises. It’s mandatory to bolt it and good to hide it. Overall an extremely good for its price. It will stops burglars who are in a hurry just rushing through your home.
Solid safe for the price
For the price range of this safe I am very impressed with it’s quality and the thing has certainly stood the test of safe-ness, currently mounted to a wall in my bedroom and holds steady and still almost a year after its purchase. Great little appliance!

Useful size safe. Easy to program the code and the extra safeguard that it can be key operated if the batteries fail. Nice touch is that wall fixings are included. Good price.
Excellent value for money I had it up and running in five (5) minutes, made the holes larger drilled into the plaster and stone underneath and fixed it to a wall with Thunderbolts with no nails adhesive on the threads, it would now need a truck to move it.

This is a fantastic little safe. Just what I was looking for. It seems a strong, good quality build for the price paid. Very easy to set up. Followed the simple instructions, and was set up and running in no time. Great value for money.
The product is the perfect size for the small family safe
The product is the perfect size for the small family safe. It easily swallows up jewellery and watch boxes and will hold an A4 size envelope without creasing (just). It was very easy to secure to the wall, floor with all instructions and wall bolts supplied and easy to follow. Easy to operate and the backup key operation is smoother and sturdier than my last safe. Very pleased. I must also stress that the company purchased from was excellent and I was kept informed at all stages including an hour window for delivery rather than the usual day long wait. Would highly recommend the product and definitely recommend the seller.

Tried my best to open the safe in the way others have experienced by hitting the top of it, but I have had no such issues. It is reasonably light however so bear in mind you will want to bolt it down with the screws and plugs supplied.

There’s a bit of movement in the handle when locked but it seems very secure. Supplied mounting fixings weren’t of the best quality but they sufficed. I’d still highly recommend – especially at the Amazon reduced rate.

Great little safe only one problem if the safe is door side up the door mechanism doesn’t work? Even with override key if the safe is door side up it won’t open I wouldn’t recommend fixing door side up

Is a good safe , but it did take us a while to get started with it due to small instructions. The illustration does not show the red reset button in the back by the battery fixing as well as it could, !! Otherwise it is a good little safe.
Brought for my wives laptop, but actually perfect for all our house, insurance and legal documents, plus loads of space for my camera, passports… And laptop. Solid security, but also great for storing things you don’t want to lose.
Does exactly what I needed it to do. I wouldn’t recommended it for businesses. Its more of a house product. Its safer than a bedroom door. But not as rigid as dial turn safe. The door lock is a bit flimsy but mines is in the floor. So it didn’t affect me.

Just the right size for my guest room where I do holiday lettings. My guests can lock away their passports and valuables for peace of mind when they’re out. If they forget the security code (or the battery runs out), I have the override keys in a separate keylocker in case of emergencies.

Have Been looking on Amazon for ages at this safe read reviews. So took the chance and bought it . It arrived on time . It’s sturdy , and looks theft proof , only the instructions needs to be a bit clearer but after a few goes at how to enter your own code I worked it out.
Great small personal/family safe
This is surprisingly light! I had thought all safes were supposed to be very heavy so I was alarmed when I got the package – but I need not have feared, the security in terms of lifting the safe out of your property is handled by the option to bolt it to floor or wall. There are only 2 bolts supplied (you are supposed to choose floor or wall)but I picked up 2 more and screwed it to both floor and wall. I will need to take the wall out if ever loose the keys and code!
The code is easy to program and operate, and the 2 spare keys are reassuring. We had it working within minutes – very happy with the simplicity and security of the device.
The size is small though, as seen on the description – for jewelerly, passports travel tickets etc it does the job perfectly.
Reasonable Product for the Money..........
The safe is fine for the money. The handle does feel a bit flimsy but it was easy to fit and setup. It holds the – mainly A4 sized documents and passports – stuff I wanted it for in a convenient place in a cupboard.

The safe is easy to use and can be easily attached to a wall or a shelf. The numbers are easy to press and feedback from the keypad is impressive. It was not completely flat when placed on a flat surface and i had to place a non-stick mat under it in order to avoid movement.

Good Build , It was hard to get the clip off the back of the code door but once off, batteries in and if instructions followed the code took me a while to put in but once that is done , it is done and if you make a mistake don’t worry you have TWO backup keys(so keep them safe) to open the safe and its a secret but the key slot is behind the Yale golden circle :).
But it keeps alot of things in there and i think the small size is good enough for most users that just want a safe to put a few important items in .

First things first… if you buy this make sure you mount it to the wall/floor otherwise there is no point in having it!
Inside there is a good amount of room, I have a DSLR, documents and jewelry.
You can set a pin code that is 8 numbers long and it locks you out for a while if you get it wrong too many times.
I would buy one before you feel as if you should’ve done so earlier!
Good but not a real safe.
This safe is suitable for an office but to be honest its not a real safe! If a thief came in to steal, he/she would simply pick up the safe and walk away and then probably use tin opener to open it.
Excellent safe
Came quickly is easy to use and sturdy. What else could you want in a safe. I also like the fact that there are keys to back up the electronics if the batteries go dead. I am very pleased. Although be careful not to drop it on to laminate flooring like I did, the flooring is not the same, but the safes ok.
I was looking for something small, reliable to fit my laptop in. I read millions of reviews and this came out on top. My batteries have been fine unlike some of the reviews but it doesn’t matter because you get 2 spare keys.
It was really easy to put in and work out and is a hefty piece. I now feel my laptop’s lovely and safe and I’ve plenty of room for more!

Prompt delivery and far better quality than I expected. I purchased it when it was on a special offer at 27.99. It is a robust little safe, that now contains our passports, bank books, cards and cash, and all my bits of sentimental jewelry. There is room for more if needed, although it is not suitable for large documents. Easy to set up and use. I don’t know why I didn’t buy one years ago, instead of trying to find hiding places around the house!!! I would highly recommend this safe.

Perfect for my use. Very good value, a little lighter in weight than I thought but a solid door . Hard to screw down, my drill with the driver bit on would not fit in the confined space and its not easy using a screwdriver lying flat on the floor.

After reading a number of reviews this safe had more pluses than any other taking into account the price. Easily installed though I did use larger, more substantial bolts than provided. The supplied fixing bits had been cannibalised so it was down to improvising, no problem, in fact an improvement. The instructions suffer the ‘chocolate tea pot syndrome’. Have a glance and then work it out for yourself, it’s less stressful.
The size is just about right for our needs, it’s robust, well finished and has the advantage of key back up. Setting your personal number couldn’t be easier.
Overall, a very good purchase though I hope it never gets challenged by undesirables.

Good inexpensive safe
Bought this as a Medisafe to store medicine for my elderly mother who has carers calling night & morning to prompt her to take her pills. It is a fine size for the daily blister packs of pills & easy to set & use. Also relatively neat & unobtrusive. My only complaint is that it is quite light so when you punch in the numbers it tends to slide backwards – even in a silicon mat ( which I thought might have given it a bit of purchase). That aside it is ideal for the purpose.
Found this to be of decent quality for the price I paid, it was generally of sturdy construction with easy to use electronic lock. Interior size is very usable, only downside being that the opening handle and key cover were plastic and a bit flimsy (should be metal). But for a home safe is a good choice
