Good value tub of Mealworms
Good value tub of Mealworms. arrived in a good condition. The birds real like them
There’s not a lot you can say about a tub of dried, maggot sized worms is there? The birds love them so I’m happy but there was a surprise awaiting; when I looked closely at the label I discovered that they are ‘Grown in China’! (but packaged in the UK). Is it no longer cost effective to source these little chaps in this Country, shall I try some chow mein on the bird table and can we expect the British mummy and daddy worm union to instigate National Action in response? Seriously though, I’m becoming increasingly worried about the ever growing number of goods etc emanating from the Orient when shouldn’t we be doing what we can to support the domestic industries? Nuff said.

Birds love them...
Never had any problems with these mealworms – our garden birds love them! Definitely no live creatures thus far although while the tub is settling the worms sometimes appear to be moving around, which can a bit scary. All good and no dust.

Have reviewed this item before! Will not do so again unless quality deteriorates! Excellent and 5.00 cheaper than the same size tub of mealworms that I bought for years. I purchase a tub every 2-3 weeks through the winter – do not expect to better this product re price or quality!

The following morning the kettle had been dislodged, the dish tipped over and the meal worms scoffed by a hedgehog. After that we put mealworms out for any passing hedgehog and they must have been very welcome during this hot and probably slug free summer.

The birds love this but I tend to mix it with other bird food such as sunflower seeds and other seeds to make it last longer otherwise it can work out pretty expensive providing a variety of food for the birds.

Don’t put too many out at a time! Starlings think Xmas has come early and mob your garden until all the meal worms have gone

Good Quality
Starlings and robins love these and eat the whole bowl daily so obviously very tasty! The plastic tub is very sturdy and re-useable for storing other bird food.

I imagine few people review mealworms but our garden birds love these. Just be careful if you carry them out on a dish – one gust of wind and you get a mouthful. Some birdsctake these from a feeder, others prefer to search for them on the ground.

Wild bird loves these mealworms, sadly they also through the rest of the wild bird seed on the floor. Found it is best to feed mealworms separate to other wild bird food to save on wastage
I can see from Amazon reviews that people have had trouble with this product, but the tub I received was air tight (but not especially difficult to open) and contained completely normal dried mealworms – only a very slight odour and certainly nothing alive.

The blackbirds certainly love these – if they can get to them before the starlings hoover them up. They are in a nice resealable tub, so there is no problem with storage – unlike the ones that arrived in a hessian sack and coated my store room in a fine powder (ugh). I can recommend these.

The birds love these so much! As I’m filling up the feeder with worms, the birds actually sit on the feeders inches away from me, chirrupping at me to hurry up.
