The All Pond Solutions All-in-One CUP-311 System combines everything required to to run a healthy algae-free small to medium sized pond. Designed as a single smart unit with a single power cable it allows for a much easier installation compared to a standard pond set up.
The CUP-311 includes a built-in 11w UVC Lamp and filtration system combined with a 2500 litres per hour pump eliminating the need to purchase an external filtration system, which can be difficult to integrate around the landscaping of a small pond.
This system is also supplied with a high-quality fountain attachment set comprising of three different fountain attachments, ideal for a variety of displays in your pond. The set also includes a splitter, enabling you to divert water to a waterfall, for example, and both the splitter and fountain are flow-rate adjustable. This gives you total control over the strength of your fountain and the volume of water diverted from the unit.
Filter Media
The included filtration media includes a large coarse filter foam that water must pass through first and also three filter media baskets, two are filled with ceramic biological filter media and the last one with K1 filter media. Alternatively you could change the included media inside these baskets for an alternative pond filter media of your choice.
Cleaning / Maintenance
Access to the inners of the CUP-311 is extremely easy thanks to the four clips positioned 2 on opposite sides of the unit. Once these are removed you have full access to all filter media areas for cleaning and maintenance. Removing the pump and steriliser is achieved by unscrewing 3 screws, allowing these parts to be removed completely clear of the CUP-311 base.

CUP-311 Operation
1) Pond water is pulled through the casing of the system directly through the coarse filter foam.
2) Before entering the UV the water must pass through the ceramic biological media baskets.
3) The water is then passed over the 11w UV Light
4) Leaves via the supplied fountain and / or external feature, or simply back into your pond.

Pond pump
Our pond was always murky and when our old pump stopped working this one appealed.
The inbuilt filters and uv light work.
Took about 4weeks but the water is clear and has remained so all summer.

Brilliant for the money
This is a little gem. We inherited a pond, with fish, when we moved. I knew nothing about filters etc. I thought I’d start with an “All in one” and I’m very pleased that we did because it has enabled me to understand what’s going on and appears to work like a dream. Our water was like pea soup but cleared within about a week and we can now see the bottom of the pond all the time. We do clean the whole unit quite often and it needs it. It is fairly straightforward to clean and I actually enjoy it. The fish seem perfectly happy and not at all phased by it. I have tested the water with some of those coloured strips and everything appears to be within acceptable parameters. I have though about setting up something a bit more sophisticated / larger but to be honest this does the job.

Smelly Pond cleaned
We moved to a house with a stagnant pond. You couldn’t see the fish and the water was murky and stagnant. It has taken a month, and almost daily filter cleaning (which is simple), but the pond is now much clearer and doesn’t smell. Initially the water coming through the fountain was green. Video was taken on day 1 and photo a month later and you can even see the fish in the top right corner. Very happy with this filter and fountain system. I’ve never had a pond before but this is simple and if you clean the filter regularly it definitely gets results.
Keeps water clear!
Bought this on 16 July 2022 and run most of the day, every day. My pond water had been dirty ever since I drained and cleaned it about 2 years ago. I tried cleaning bombs, pond weeds etc but nothing worked. I decided to invest in a UV pump and after 2 months the water is still as clear as tap water. It was dirty from an inch down when I popped this pump in and within 3 days was crystal clear, highly recommmended!
The pump works well. It has helped to clear the water so I can now see my fish. It does need cleaning out on a regular basis as the pipe leading to the water outlet can block fairly easily however cleaning the pipe is a 2 minute job. I would buy this again.

my pond is a old bath, it cleared the water within days , maybe I could of got away using a smaller pump but Im very happy, the pump has an attatchment so I connected a bit of hosepipe so I can have a sort of waterfall at one end and a fountain coming out of the middle of the pump.
Great for medium size pond
This pump was very easy to set up and install. It was a little bit bigger than I expected – I should have read the spec properly – but it wasn’t a problem. Seems very sturdy, and the filter is keeping the pond very clear. Does the job perfectly.

I have only had this filter for 5 days the difference is incredible the filter I had before was old I have recently built a bigger pond the water was that green and full of algae I couldn’t see the fish after trying numerous things barley straw treading water new bulb etc I bought this after reading some good reviews so impressed so far and so easy to clean hopefully this lasts as it’s been amazing so far!

It works a dream. Just fit a plug and away yiu go. See what happens in a few days as the barrel was really green so scrubbed and more or less started again. Hopefully water will now stay clea

Good unit my only problem was that the light failed after a day and I am struggling to get a replacement
Not sure why the light has gone as I need a replacement before I investigate. I means if lifting it out of the pond would be helpful if your pond is more than 60 cm as the handles are on the side of the unit. You need long arms.
Pond is clear after 3 days
I bought this after a lot of years trying to solve my green water problem in my pond. I have plants, a pump, pressure filter , uv light and an air pump supplying two air stones and I still suffered with green pea soup. I set this up on a 12 hour timer running through the day and it really works. It really does make the difference. I installed it 7 days ago and I can see clearly to the bottom of the pond. Brilliant piece of kit.

I recently cleaned and re-lined my garden pond taking care to keep as much original water as possible by pumping it into a water butt.
After I refilled the refurbished pond with my saved water plus some more rain water from a couple of other containers I wasn’t too surprised that it quickly turned green with algae.
I used an additive which introduces bacteria that naturally causes the algae to clump and sink. This was OK until the weather became much warmer and the algae growth overwhelmed the bacteria.
Looking for advice on adding a filter system, this unit came up in several searches. so I ordered one from Amazon. It was SO easy to setup and after 3 hours the pond water was crystal clear and my population of newts looked very happy (I’ve never had fish – only wildlife)
The newts advised me to give this product 5 stars, and who am I to argue with newts?
doing its job
i bought this pump 10 days ago, be aware it does not come with a plug . i measured the cable after reading other reviews and it was 9 1/2 mts long, enough for what i needed. bought a plug with 3 amp fuse and plugged it in via a RCD. there was a marked improvement within 24 hrs and by day 5 the water in my pond was crystal clear. i had to reduce the flow rate as my fish pond is 5 mts long but only 1 mt wide and the fountain would have emptied the pond on a windy day. this was very easy to do. on day 8 i took it apart and cleaned the filters, they certainly had done their job and were filthy but it is a 5 minute job to clean.

Great flexible pond pump with filter & UV
After persevering with a crappy pump and separate UV filter for a few years, we bought this replacement and was amazed at the difference it made to the clarity and healthiness of the water. Even our waterlilly is looking lush and healthy- the irises produced loads of flowers this year, and we had way more frogspawn mature into frogs since installing it!!
Everything is flexible about it, and it’s quite powerful- you can easily attach a waterfall pipe if you wanted, we use that exit to circulate and aerate the pond better.
We clean it every week or so, and it works well. Wish it had some kind of handle to make it easier to pull out from the centre of the pond.. so we attached a handle made from cable ties fed through the lid, and use a rubbish picker to draw it to the edge with my makeshift handles – make it much more easier to lift as it’s heavy when it’s full of wate

Have this pump running a fountain and also the fountain outlet on the pump uv light keeps the water clear have the pump on a shallow shelf in the pond to make it easier to get at for cleaning happy with this purchase.
Cleared the wate
Pond had gone quite green and didn’t see much of my fish. After less than a week of running it I can see my fish! Took a fair bit of cleaning for the first couple of weeks (every 2-3 days) but that meant it was doing its job. Only had it a couple of months so can’t comment on durability, but so far so good. Would recommend.

They are without doubt brilliant, have bought replacement bulbs in case these amazing pieces of kit ever get discontinued because that would be a travesty. We needed to replace the water feature in our garden which was the country garden cascading barrel water feature as we had had it for nearly 15 years and had probably the best out of it. One of the most annoying things and certainly the messiest was the amount of green weed that would grow in both barrels and attach itself to the sides. I had done a bit of online investigating and found several pumps that had a UV light fitted as well as a decent filtration unit. After reading several reviews I decided to purchase the allpondsolution which has a UV sterilising light fitted. To be honest it is quite a chunky unit but it fits in the bottom barrel quite comfortably. As the unit has been in the water for only one month I haven’t yet had the need to remove the unit and clean it’s filters, but as I say nearly one month in and there is absolutely no sign of any green pond weed in the water or growing on the internal walls of both upper and lower barrels. From my own personal experience it seems to be a fairly Powerful pump and is really effective in preventing green pond weed.

Powerful pump!
My pond is only 470L so I should really have bought the smaller one but, never the less, this is more than enough for my pond.
I initially had to contact the seller due to missing all of the fountain parts and they were sent out quickly. I then found that the fountain on the lowest flow was much too powerful, very choppy waters! So ended up using a fountain head for a smaller filter

UV pond sterilise
Unfortunately pond became overun by green algae, then it became brown as my solar pump could not cope. This fantastic pump sorted it within a month of installation. Now I have beautiful water lilies blooming, they last only a short while, but a month ago, didn’t think I would have any. Proving the balance and clarity of the pond is now perfect.
It works!
I’ve had this installed in our medium-sized garden pond (has about 40 fish) for a week and the water has become much clearer and the strong green tint of the algae has completely gone. Each day we can see further down into the pond; I’m looking forward to what the next week will bring.
Some things to note:
1) It seemed to take a few days to get going.
2) It is heavy when full of water – I used some garden wire to make a harness to lift in and out of the pond which is quite deep
3) I have cleaned the filter twice so far – both times it had accumulated loads of gunk, so it is effective
4) The pump is powerful; you may not want such a powerful fountain in a small pond. We leave our unit at the bottom of the pond without a spray attachment.

Great pump but awkward getting it in and out of pond.
A great filter – keeps pond lovely and clear. My only bugbear is getting it in and out of pond as it is obviously heavy when full of water and you need to be careful removing it as any sludge in filter falls back into pond if you don’t lift it carefully. As an ‘older’ person, I find this difficult. Could do with a strap or handle to lift it out. You need to have a very large container to clean it in, I use a large bendy bucket but even this is awkward. Apart from this issue, the filter is really good and would definitely recommend anyone getting this.
Did what we wanted it to.
Was sceptical when purchasing after reading reviews but bought this anyway. The pond in the new house we bought (approx 1000l) was green and couldn’t see any fish. After a few days it started to clear and after about a week we could see the stones at the bottom and all the fish! Didn’t realise we had so many!! Would definitely recommend to others trying to clear their green ponds.

Unbelievable piece of equipment, my 2000L pond was green beyond belief to the point where you could not see 5mm down. I have tried so many different things/pumps ect and this did the job in a week. My water is now can not be any clearer with this all in one linked up with the All Pond Solutions box filter. Very impressive.
Excellent filter system
I purchased the CUP 311 system to replace my old Hozelock easy care which kept failing and I have had 3 of them in the last few years. So thought it was time to try something new, and reading the reviews decided to buy the CUP 311
It came well packaged and delivered 2 days before due date. I was setting it up to run a waterfall and the instruction were clear and easy to follow, impressed that it came with a spare impeller as well, it has been in the pound for just 2 weeks and the pound is crystal clear, so a good start, that’s why I have given it 4 stars to start off with, very impressed
Excellent (but be patient)
My pond had been in place for 13 years and I had to replace the liner 4 years ago. In all that time I have attempted to maintain the pond without any type of filter. For the first year or so I could see to a good depth. Then the algae started to take over.
Even after the liner replacement, visibility was minimal as I tried to reuse some of the water to maintain a bacterial balance.
To help matters I’ve used various potions which have clumped the algae together and I’ve skimmed the surface. They’ve helped a little bit not greatly.
This year the fish were only visible at the surface and the algae appeared more luminous than in past years.
I finally caved in and bought this all in one unit.
It arrived promptly from All pond solutions (and they answered a query swiftly).
It’s very well designed and a sturdy device (although opening the UV sleeve to check for breakages is a bit heart stopping). It’s also very easy to open up and clean.
I didn’t have round-the-clock access to power so, while waiting for an electrician to install a more permanent solution, I wired a plug to the unit and ran it 10 hours a day for a week connected to an extension reel.
I noticed some improvement in the water clarity and had to clear the filters 2 or 3 times but the weather turned and prevented me from running it this way any more (extension reels and rain don’t play well together).
The electrician eventually arrived and fitted an outside socket for me.
The filter was now running 24/7.
I was initially disappointed to see little improvement after 4 weeks despite having to regularly clean the filters. Surely it would be improving or did I have too many fish to be able to expect water clarity? The unit isn’t at the bottom of the pond – could that be the reason?
Then suddenly at the 5 week mark, I noticed a marked improvement! I could see creases in the liner and even an outline of the filter unit.
It’s now another week on and things have improved further and I can see practically to the bottom of the pond. The fish appear to be very happy.
Obviously there was a lot of sludge in my pond from years of decomposing lily pads along with fish waste and algae.
There is still some way to go as, even though the water now appears clear, every surface (even the filter box and the hosepipe used to circulate filtered water) is quickly coated with a green layer hours after the unit is resubmerged after cleaning.
But I’m still at the stage of cleaning the filters weekly so I know that the clarity will increase and the residue will reduce further.
I would certainly recommend this unit. Just be aware that it can’t be hurried if your pond has been in place for a long time but it WILL do the job eventually.
Powerful pump
Does a good job and is easy to maintain, however there is no way to control the outflow which is quite powerful, so if you want to use the fountain attachment, it is not suitable for a small pond, as the water goes pretty high and is affected by the wind. The dome feature is ok.

Great product, this cleared a murky green pond to crystal clear in about 2.5 weeks. You have to obviously clean it out more at the start but it’s easy to do. The only issue is now that I have got to buy more protection for my fish as the heron has had 5!!!! But that’s not the pump, the pump is fantastic
Good value for money
I have a nature pond after a heron stoll our goldfish many years ago. We have always had frogs breeding in the pond and even a few newts. I used to have a small pump feeding a waterfall but water got into the junction box and was tripping the electrics so got disconnected. After years of neglect the water had turned to pea soup and this year none of the frog spawn survived.
After a couple days of switching on this pump, the water cleared and I see we have around 20 frogs and about 30 newts (this might be why we lost the frog spawn). I have now removed the excess sludge, carried out a partial water change and the pond looks brilliant and crystal clear.
The filter is easy to clean and the manual is very detailed. The build quality looks good and would imagine this will last for a number of years. The UV indicator is not easy to see and can only be seen in the dark. I assume this is for safety and to protect against UV exposure as the indicator looks directly at the lamp. Not sure about the science. It comes with a number of baskets containing media for the bacteria to grow but it contains a UV light, which kills bacteria good and bad. The pump comes with a generous length of flex.
I have bought spare impellers, filters and UV lamps so I have spares for the next couple of years.
Please note that the pump does not come with a plug. This is understandable because it requires either an outdoor socket or as in my case, hardwired into a waterproof junction box. Even if the cable is long enough to reach the house you would still have to cut the plug off to get it in the house. After reading other reviews I am horrified to read someone actually had an electric shock when a seal failed. Speaking as a qualified electrician, the pump must be protected by a RCD, so if the circuit is not RCD protected, an RCD plug must be used.
Highly recommended purchase.

I’ve only got a small fish pond which I inherited when I bought my house three years ago. The previous owner left the pump he’d put in, a different brand, which lasted about 2 years after we’d moved in. Because it had seemed to work ok, although it was dreadful to clean, I replaced it with the same brand. It lasted a year! After a difficult time with the manufacturer I decided to just cut my losses and buy another brand. I’d bought from All Pond Solutions before, for my large aquarium, and had always been pleased with the quality so I opted for this one. It arrived quickly and was easy to install, although the fountain attachments I wanted to use sprayed too high and almost emptied the pond before I noticed! But the third one worked perfectly for the size of pond I’ve got. The pond was very dirty so the pump haS been working overtime and I’ve had to clean it three times already but it’s easy to take apart and clean so that’s not a problem. I made an excellent decision with this pump.
I have waited a while before commenting so that I would see how the pump worked. My fishpond looked more like “mushy pea soup” and I was despairing. I cleared the pump every two days and today I can even see the holes in the pump. I am so pleased I bought this UV pump.
My new pond went green very quickly as lilies hadn’t a chance to to afford any shade. I put in the Cup 311 and within 24 hours I could see a difference, after a week I could actually see the fish when not at the top. Two weeks later I cleaned out the filters and after replacing it I could just about make out the unit itself at about 20″ deep. A couple of weeks later and the water is crystal clear, I can even see detail in the silt on the bottom.
The filter itself I did not set up with a fountain but piped the outflow to a shallow part at the other end of the pond to get maximum circulation. The fish spend a lot of the time shoaling in the outflow as if it were a stream.

As others have mentioned this unit does work well – so well that I bought a second one in fact. I have two ponds of about 3,000l each and they were very murky. The water is now sufficiently clear that I can see the bottom.
The sludge has settled there so ideally I’d like to scrape it out but the improvement is marked.
I didn’t understand what the rating for “Sheerness” meant but I assumed “ability to clear water” and rated it 5!
It does get pretty bunged up quickly but that is because the water was so dirty I guess

For decades I have only used a pond pump to a waterfall and the water quality has always been poor, with fish not visible. After another pump failure I installed the CUP-311 and although it has taken over 3 weeks, the water is now clear and fish visible to the bottom. I had to clean the filters every few days for this period but now weekly intervals which should extend further as clarity improves. Reliability remains to be seen but this is a wonderful all in one solution to pond water quality problems.
So far I’m very impressed. No wasting more money on packets of chemicals that don’t work.
It had been running for about nine days none stop and I decided to clean it as the recycled water seemed to have stopped getting clearer.
Absolutely amazed at how much algae and who knows what it had sifted from the water.
I stripped it down, cleaned everything, put it back and the water coming out of the fountain is now clear.

Easy to put together and install in pond, long cable without plug to enable threading through conduit, two fountain options, which work really well, plus mushroom option. The feature that impressed me was the fountain tube fitted with multi directional ability which allows you to obtain a vertical fountain while in the pond, excellent idea!!!

As with most new pond owners. Within a couple of weeks of building my pond, the water turned completely green. I added more and more plants (without soil) to try and combat the issue ending up with 50 in total. I then turned to magic. I tried all the green water treatments, pond bombs, bacteria starters. Nothing worked.
I took a gamble on this. As it’s an all in one. You just put it in the water and switch it on. Taking it apart and cleaning it is really easy. I have it set to run the fountain and waterfall. Within a week the water was “murky” but not green. I gave the sponge a rinse in a bucket of pond water and the water literally turned brown. 3 bucket fulls later and I put it all back in for another week.
The pics now show 2 weeks on and I can see my fish sleeping at the bottom (24″). Wish I’d just bought this in the first place with the money I wasted on potions.

2 months in using this filter 5**** from me.. was using complicated system before that never work half as good as this 1.. pond was in need of serious clean out after my last system broke.. water is clear enough to drink now..cleaning out this system is easy enough. This All in One really works!
This pump was only installed 3 weeks ago and has had an amazing effect in clearing the water. My pond is about 1300 litres and I was only using a pump without a UV tube and the water was very green.
Now you can see clearly down at least two feet. The fish clearly love it and are more active than they’ve ever been.

Excellent all-in-one pond pump & filter - but not newt proof
I’ve only had this a few days but it was a cinch to install and runs quietly and gives a pleasing fountain as well as providing a take off to provide flow to an accessory or just provide circulation below the surface.
Today however the fountain stopped working. Following the maintenance instructions revealed the culprit – a newt stuck in the impeller. I have no idea how it got inside the casing as none of the holes appear to be large enough. Once inside however there is a nice, newt-sized, bypass hole in the elbow connecting the pump to the UV unit which is how it got in.
2 pieces of good news.
1. The newt survived its ordeal! The end of its tail is a bit mangled but hopefully it’ll recover fully.
2. Two cable ties and a section of discarded tights make a nice newt-proof cover for the bypass while allowing unimpeded water flow.
Looking forward to years of service now.

Firstly this is a very good pump and filter and since arrival my pond water has never been clearer. I would just like to point out two faults. On arrival the interior parts ie filers pump etc were all dislodged and the pump base was broken as a result of lockdown I couldn’t return it but carried out repairs which appear to have worked. The damage I believe as a result of lack of packaging and rough handling during transit. This pump is heavy and would be greatly improved with the addition of a carry handle or strap to enable it to be placed in the centre of the pond with the aid of a boat hook type impliment this would also aid removable.
Good compact small pond filte
A good filter with UV that has kept my small 400 gallon pond really clean and fish friendly. The fountain and waterfall features are well served by the pump, if I had one criticism it would be the controls for the fountain and waterfall are at the base which means putting your hand and arm deep into the pond to turn them on / off.

When I saw some of these reviews I was sceptical that it could be as good as claimed but thought it was worth a go. Wow! What a revelation. It honestly took 3 days to turn a pea souper of a pond in to one where you can see the bottom of it! If I had to criticise it, it would be that the pond is too clear! My friend saw the results and immediately ordered one for his own pond which says everything I think. It even comes with a spare impeller! The photos accompanying this review are just 3 days apart. What else can I say? Buy it!
Super effective
My pond, which is near the max volume recommended for this unit, had a pea soup appearance with algae for a couple of years following a replacement liner. Tried everything, additives, straw bales, you name it. Bought one of these and within days I could see an improvement and within a couple of weeks – crystal clear. Big filter pad inside to collect the sludge, but really easy to clean. Now only needs to be on during daylight hours. My only complaint is when putting it on at the start of this season (after about 3 years) there was an earth leakage issue and I had to replace the whole unit. Overall I am very pleased as it works very well. Definitely recommend.
Great pump but the hose fittings are flimsy
Been using the pump for a few month and it cleared the green quite quickly. The filter needs clearing regularly – how often depends on contamination in the pond but it isn’t a total solution if you have leaves or other decaying plant material which will need a pond vacuum.
All the fittings are plastic and the one to use with an external hose is next to useless – the screw cap is just a push fit onto the hose spigot and falls off if the hose moves, nothing like as robust as the plastic garden hose fittings. This unfortunately make the hose outlet unusable if you need to take the pump unit in and out for cleaning.

Have tried a few pumps in our garden pond. All struggled to keep the water clear. This one has done a fantastic job. Would highly recommend.
Brilliant!
Much better than the original branded pump and UV that came with my affinity pond. Bigger and more powerful too. My green swamp turn into a crystal clear pond in less than 48hr. One plug too, instead of two the original came with. Had my doubts prior to ordering. No regrets now.
fountain too high
This product comes with a few different fountain heads but we find that they are all too high and powerful for our pond so we lose too much water.

We read the reviews, and wasn’t convinced this unit could clear the pea soup in our pond, but our pictures are taken one week apart, and the improvement has been dramatic! The unit is bigger than we anticipated, so do measure beforehand, but it’s really easy to install, clean the filters etc. The secret is the UV light, which is the hard work. I don’t know how long this pump and filter will last, but at this price point, we’ve been seriously impressed.
Cup 305
Just swapped my 305 for the next one up. Nothing wrong with 305 and had it quite some time and it’s kept the water clear. I bought a mini blade but the 305 couldn’t pump the water fast enough. Great for a fountain but not for waterfall
Effective filter pump
Although the unit was bigger than I expected, I have been very pleased with the pump. Easy to clean, this unit produced crystal clear water within a few hours in my medium sized pond. Hopefully this will last as long as my previous pump.

Great value for money
I purchased this fully expecting to have wasted my money but it’s been brilliant. Last year we tried adding a filter to the pump, using barley straw, pond additives etc but still the water was disgusting. The old pump broke so thought we would give this a try and within a week the pond had cleared to such an extent that it had gone from not being able to see any of the fish to the bottom of the pond being visible and you can even see the black fish in the water.

This pump is incredible. I really can’t rave about it enough. My pond spent all last year looking like pea soup but now it is crystal clear. I am beyond happy with this product and highly recommend. I can sit and watch tadpoles at the bottom of my pond in perfect detail. The fish are happy and so am I.
