Great suctio
I think the only cons I have found to this vacuum cleaner are the cord length (very short) and the space it takes up to store due to the hose (small machine but where you hook the hose in to store makes it bulky). The suction is powerful, it’s very easy to empty and its light.

I’ve had some building work done and my Shark cleaner, while great on the floor is not really suitable for vacuuming other bits so bought this cleaner to do the job of vacuuming up all the mess/dust. In April 2020, my beloved Miele hoover fell to bits. Literally. A big lump of plastic facing near the back fell off. It still worked, so I stuck it back on with gaffer tape. But then my grandson went on and on about something he said I’d hoovered up, so I took the tape off to look….and then I couldn’t get it lined up again. So I bought a Duronic bagless hoover. Didn’t like it. Had to do a lot of coaxing to make it hoover up cat fur. It was horrible to clean out too. So when the head kept falling off as I used it… Yep, lovely excuse to go back to a hoover with BAGS. And I found this one. I didn’t know there was an Amazon Basics range….
This is a lovely looking hoover. However shallow that is, it does matter to me. It’s very compact, very light, a lovely, shiny black, with shiny chrome pipes and easy to understand knobs and switches which operate well. It has a neat handle in front and another in the back. And it comes with a washable, reuseable bag – mmm, not for me – and two paper ones which are fairly easy to fit. SO good.
I got hoovering straight away. It seems to deal with cat fur well, and biscuit crumbs… The cord doesn’t shoot across the room like it’s possessed. And it fits in my crowded cupboard with room to spare. I love it. So far, so really excellent.
Crazy powerful suction!
Over the decades I’ve generally stuck to the smiley faced vacuum we all know and love.
I purchased this vacuum expecting half the performance. But boy was I wrong! The suction on this thing is crazy, I’ve had to turn it to minimum suction and open the vent on the handle just to be able to push it over the carpet. Never experienced such suction! Could be a downside if your struggling with upper body strength mind.
The one thing I find annoying from time to time is the length of the lead. I understand its to make it more compact and lighter. But I feel it would be more practical if it were 6m plus.
I am a professional domestic cleaner, and a Henry Hoover has been my number one vacuum of choice for years, as they are unbreakable, reliable, strong suction, extra long cable, can manage big bits and so rarely block, and have great accessories.
But I am a cleaner who walks from job to job, with my equipment including vacuum in a trolley, and I decided I wanted to try something smaller and lighter. I read that these were. Which best buy, and one reviewer said it was as good as a Henry, so I decided to give it a go.
I selected the wired (can’t risk running out of charge on a job) and bagged (unbagged is too messy and a faff to empty) and I noticed this version seems to have more 5 star reviews than the other models.
So far, I’ve used it for about 50 hours of cleaning, and so far so good. It is indeed significantly smaller and lighter than my Henry, and probably as powerful.
The only thing I dislike is the dusting brush, which has short nylon bristles and doesn’t compare to the long horse hair Henry brush, but neither does any other brand I have used. It does a slightly annoying thing, where if I flip it up/down whole dragging it along, it turns itslef off, and I have to switch it back on, but I can live with that. The cable isn’t as long as my Henry, but it does sit easily on staircases so I don’t need it to be as long.
The long handlebar extends up and down at the click of a button, which makes it really easy to fold down small, perfect for cleaners like me, or if you want to take it away somewhere like a caravan, but need the height of an upright hoover.
As it’s so compact, the bags fill up much more quickly than my Henry, and I think the bags available are quite steep (about 9 for 3-5 from various retailers) but if just using at home, and not filling them quickly, this is probably fine. It comes with a reusable fabric bag, which is not easy to empty, but I put on a mask and rubber glove to empty it to save buying lots of bags.
So far, so good. It is certainly adequate as a professional domestic cleaner. I am concerned that some reviews said it quickly lost suction, so I will report back if this happens.

I would say that overall, this is a good little vacuum.
The suction is decent and it does the job. Isn’t too heavy or too big. My only qualm would be that the suction strength can’t be turned down which can be a pain when vacuuming some surfaces.
Rugs – there is a special head/accessory for rugs which is good and overcomes the issues of not being able to turn down the suction strength
Laminate – suction is so strong that it can be difficult to vacuum laminate but still does a decent job. Best to open the valve to reduce suction and stop the vacuum sticking to the floor
Having to change the vacuum heads/accessories for different surfaces is a bit fiddly, hence, I would have preferred the option to change suction strength. Overall, it does a good job and value for money
It sucks....Okay
Yet another hoover in my house, what is wrong with my wife. We gave one to my daughter left with a Shark and Dyson…so we need another none cordless….for what? I know its another terrifying noise to scare the wits out of one of my dogs. Sorry if you want a product review -its a good hoover, sucks up okay, does what it says on the box. Unlike my wife

I’ve had this little vacuum for a while now and it hasn’t lost any suction power, still performs excellently and was well worth the money. Clearly very durable and the cord is just about long enough for my apartment to get in all the rooms without switching plugs. I would say the one minor issue is that it does fill up quite quickly, so could perhaps benefit from a larger container otherwise the suction power is reduced if it needs to be emptied. Aside from this though it is great!

Works a charm. Wanted a cheap, durable cleaner that we wouldn’t cry over if and when it falls apart. Amazon basics came up trumps! Works well for its small size. Does fill up quickly (obvs) and the cord is laughably short to be used as a room cleaner but for cleaning up a small area after some intensive DIY it works a treat. Currently looking at spare filters – this seems to be an issue as there is no specific replacement but there are many, many out there – something will fit 😀

Okay, so worked awesome at first. Very light so it can flip easily, but I wanted it light.
Suction dropped, I checked and I had not closed the cylinder properly. Gave it a push. Clicked it on and the suction was back!
So far I’m happy. Some say the suction dies, I’ve used it 3 times with no issues. Maybe it will get less but so far I’m happy. Be aware I don’t have carpets. Though I do have some rugs. Cleans both with no issues!
Well designed and great value for money
The designers of this product have excelled themselves.It looks really good.My floors are laminated and it quickly removes any bits that are carried in to the property.The cord could do with being a bit longer.The suction control dial is a nice to have.The add on tools which clip on to the hose work well-but take a few moments to figure out which way to clip them on.All in all this is overwhelming value in a product that is modestly priced and was a total surprise in its quality ease of use and looking good design.

This is an excellent vacuum. It is light, manoeuvrable and quiet. It is really well designed for storage and the head can clip onto the rear or underneath of the machine so that it can be parked flat or upright. You can adjust the suction with the vent on the handle or the motor control on the body of the machine. I would recommend the bagged version, there are both paper and fabric bags depending on what you want to use it for. It’s a perfect fit. It would have been given 5 stars but the cable is rather short.
It's small, but feels like it punches above its weigh
Small form but still cleans well. Very happy with this purchase, as it picks up everything we have throw at it. The house is a two bed has 3 long haired crafting enthusiasts and a dog. So there is lots of hair and bits of paper, material thread etc.

I’ve just bought this Hoover and who was for the first time I’m it’s amazing well impressed good suction power and all the accessories work really well impressed with the adjustable power button and retractable cable highly recommended.
Superbly quie
Love how quietly this works- no need to worry about waking up the kids or disturbing spouse’s phone calls. Very light & handy to use, compact to store. Cleans up well on the carpet ,as well as floor. Wasn’t sure while buying this as I’ve always used the big brands & bought this as a quick fix, but this was a purchase worth making. So glad I bought it.

The suction is really weak after 2 years of use. I will dispose it as it isn’t possible to use it anymore. Better invest in something more expensive but more durable.

Had bought an expensive model, great suction, so much so even on lowest power it was VERY hard to try to move across carpet.
The basics model is great value for money. It just does the job without fuss and to a very acceptable standard.
Whether suction level will be maintained remains to be seen, other than that, recommended.

The hose came loose from the connector and I had to silicone it back in place. Maybe it needed a swivel connection to avoid it detaching when the plastic hose turns around which it is bound to do. Or maybe the quality and amount of silicone adhesive was insufficient. But otherwise it is a great vacuum cleane
Superb!
Very light and manoeuvrable, great suction, and very cheap. My partner (a vacuum cleaner geek) was so impressed he immediately ordered one for his own place as well. My last vacuum was a Vax Blade, which was great but broke down immediately the warrantee expired (a common problem, judging by reviews). At under 50 this one only has to last 6 months and it’ll already be much better value for money.

Well, I went for it, and basically, for the price it is pretty damned good.
The suction is good, not mad like some reviews say, but perfect for the job. The lead is shorter than I’d like, but don’t let that put you off.
I’ve only had it a few days, but initial reaction is once again, for the amazing price, it’s a very good buy.
I write honest reviews, and I’d say here and now, if you don’t want to spend silly money, but want a good hoover, that does the job, with no bags to worry about, then definitely give this mighty little machine a go.
Surprised
Had to get something quick to replace my expensive vacuum that broke. Really didn’t expect this to be any good but have been impressed by it’s suction. Lightweight and bagless which is good. Don’t think it manouvres very well, it tends to just fall over when you try to turn it round. Also, although the main unit itself is small the length of the hose and how it’s stored does require more room than you might think to store.
It's powerful and light.
Lovely and light, just what I wanted, the head can stay in the slot, but only when it’s coverted back to shortened length. Would of liked another meter of length, but it with be okay most of the time. It’s the hoover bags that are a little problem to replace, and they are about 2,50 each bag. But overall I am happy for under 60 for it.

Omg I don’t know how I ever managed without this perfect little vacuum cleaner, it sucks the carpets off the floor, it’s got all the tools, it’s lightweight and so easy to carry. It has a large tank and HEPA filter in it. The cords a really good length and rewinds into the hoover for storage. Also it is such good quality, the pipe is metal not plastic, the hose is thick but flexible plastic it will last ages, it also has a carpet head and a hard floor head combined and a separate wood floor brush. I’d recommend to anyone as I’ve used other big branded Hoover’s and never been this satisfied.

Very powerful.
I am very pleased with this powerful vacuum cleaner. I keep it in my sons room which is in the loft and I couldn’t keep carrying mine up and down the stairs so this is a second Hoover specifically for up stairs. It took me a while to work out where to fix the attachments as the clasp is very strong, but it is very useful to have them on the pole ready to inter change when needed. The only negative I can find so far is that it doesn’t roll that well and tends to turnover rather than roll after me which can be a pain but I am working on it!
Considering the price I think this was a very good buy.
Brilliant suction and lightweigh
Wow what a hoover…I have 3 big thick rugs that nothing could get through I nearly got rid of them after using a couple of different makes of vacuums…but not now this little beauty socks them of the floor thankfully it has a suction control and being a bagged product doesn’t loose suction, no emptying. It also works brilliantly on my tiles too. For a bigger model it’s really light and easy to maneuver. So for the older generation perfect too.

I have no stairs, this hoover is lightweight and once you get used to it and know how to position it whilst hoovering sucks reeeeeeeeally well and even sucked up the cloth I use to clean the toilet on the first day.only if the spout is positioned in a certain way in order to suck up.i think it’s a bit expensive considering how you have to position it in a way to suck up. That price 60 I would of charged 40 for a non branded hoove
Great vacuum but poor service by Amazo
I Initially gave this a one star review.. the vacuum I got was from Amazon warehouse.. it literally had no suction. After a while I thought it can’t really be this bad, got a piece of hose pipe to push through the tube and a great clump of rubbish came out… After that it had great suction..very poor of Amazon to send me one that was already blocked up though…I know it was described as used and it had been to somebody before but they obviously send it back because they couldn’t be bothered to clean the hose

Literally amazing. I have bagged miele and wanted another for our play room but didn’t want to spend that much so combed through reviews of vacuums and gave this one a go. This is AS good as my miele just a bit noisier. I only discovered in the last few.months (I’m 31) that baggless vacuums are rubbish in comparisons to bagged and so much cleaner. They seem to take 10 times the amount of dirt too, I vacuum every day and change the bag once 4-5 weeks opposed to every other day with baggless! Highly recommend the vacuum, I might even get another (we have a large bungalow and it’s just so handy to have a vacuum in the corner of rooms!).

For 52 this is a great little vacuum. The cord length is adequate but I need to use an extension lead to do my stairs & landing. The hose length is fairly standard but the metal pole part could do with being a fraction longer. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of suction, my expectations were not very high, after all it was only 52. Picks up animal hairs ok. There are a few things that could be improved but all would add cost and for the money this is good value. It is extremely lightweight and plasticky so I don’t think it will stand much knocking about but equally, that makes it easy to carry around. It is very compact so easy to store. The container needs emptying regularly but at least you don’t have to pay for expensive bags. Even if it doesn’t last very long I could have 6 of these for the price of a Miele.
Love this Hoover - much better than Dyso
I absolutely love this hoover! I just moved to a new home and the entire place is covered with 20 year old ugly carpet….the suction on this thing is amazing. The colour of the carpet is several shades lighter now because i think it even sucked the dust out of the flat below. I had a hard time lifting it off the wooden floors too! Saw some silly reviews on how the suction went after a few weeks…..honey, u need to clean the Hoover too sometimes! I had to empty and wash it 3 times by the time I was done with the 850sqft. But it cleans beautifully! I had Dysons before….what a pathetic hyped up thing. Just get this little thing. It’s light and has a long cord with accessories.
Great for a tenant fla
We’ve bought this cylinder in the 700W 2.0 version for a couple of our tenanted flats and they are great. The suction is good, they seem fairly bombproof and most importantly, easy to empty and clean filters. Also the design is really compact, so easy to tuck into a small space in a small property. In our experience, if you keep the filters cleaned and the canister emptied, the suction remains strong. Great value product.

ITS ONLY FAULT IS ITS A LIL HEAVY. Its worth every single penny, I been looking for a hoover since the wattage change that came in some years ago, and until now I been buying every spare part I could for my BISSELL CLEAR VIEW 2396E as I couldnt part with it as it was the best I ever had. I really had to pull myself together n say “no u need a new hoover”, I wanted something similar n this amazon basic is THE BEST- suction is SO GOOD as is the cord length, the only disadvantage is I find it heavier than my previous but then you know its strong n robost, I will recommend this hoover 150%. Its other great feature is its metal pole compared to plastic ones that I was forever buying. Wash n dry filter no bags etc you good to go.

I’ve used Amazon a lot for about 15 years. I pretty much used to buy everything on Amazon. In the last year or two I’ve felt service has gone down, a lot of products have been really poor, poor customer service and delivery people have left my parcels in really bad places (like under a random persons car or my bin when it was out for collection). This made me really unsure about buying this hoover, and I nearly bought one from a competitor site instead. I’m really glad I ordered this hoover though as it’s so good! Much better than my old hoover which literally snapped in half mid use (it was a different brand but bought on Amazon).
My dogs shed a lot and this hoover is brilliant at getting hair out of the carpet without having to go over it 50 times. I think elderly people or people with poor mobility might struggle to use it as the suction is very high. It’s perfect for me though and would definitely recommend it to pet owners.
Surprisingly good quality
I previously owned a Dyson, but now I wonder why I ever needed one. This Amazon Basics hoover is perfectly fine, it looks amazing for the price, love the blue colour, its parts feel sturdy and there are plenty of them. While it has slightly less suction power than the Dyson I had, I certainly wouldn’t need to or bother to pay extra for anything more again. This hoover, picks up most dirt, it’s light, it’s cool looking, it’s affordable, it’s quite quiet, it feels and looks of high quality in general not just for the price. Would definitely recommend.
A excellent produc
Let me start by saying I don’t like vacuum cleaners, period. I don’t like the noise they make or their sometimes useless suction. This product is neither of those, the suction is superb and it’s very quiet. Don’t be put off by the fact it’s an Amazon label on it and not some brand name you have heard of before. Who cares !! You presumably like me want a product that does the job and doesn’t cost too much compared to other similar items. This is both of those. I’m usually quite a critical person and review as I find. I have no criticisms for this vacuum cleaner, the quality is excellent and so is it’s usage both suction and manoeuvrability and it’s very light to carry. I have just received mine today 02/12/20, I ordered it 27/11/20 so full marks as usual to Amazon. I live on Jersey in the Channel Islands so normally items take slightly longer to arrive. Not this time. I hope this review helps others make their choice

errific at 39.99, light enough to go everywhere, and i personally prefer bags as when its time to empty you dont get dust flying around everywhere. i am a fan of this already. its build quality is great coupled with amazons terrific warranty and customer service. how you use it on stairs is dependent on where and how you are pluggin it on. i use an extension in my house if required

Just needed a basic vacuum cleaner for a carpeted, fairly large one-bedroom flat. Read the reviews and went for this one.
Not at all bothered it’s not ‘branded’. Brands mean very little these days… products are normally made (and even designed) by sub-contractors for the large brands. Quite often you get more for your money if you buy something which isn’t from a top brand as they spend billions in marketing to maintain their brand image.
Anyway, back to the vacuum cleaner;
Decent basic brown cardboard box; no unnecessary colour printing (with toxic inks), just a strong, brown cardboard box. No polystyrene; fantastic. Packaging is good and the product arrived in A1 condition. Instruction manual and two dust bags (plus there was a third in the machine).
Small, compact, well-made machine. Doesn’t look or feel cheap. The tube is metal and feels really good; it adjusts with a solid-sounding click to the length desired. I’m 6-foot tall and would say the tube would suit anybody from 4 foot 6 inches to 6 foot 8 inches tall, at a guess. The accessory heads all fit snugly on the tube. The hose secures nicely into the cleaner body.
Usage: Well, my flat carpeted and I’d been without a hoover for 6 weeks, so it needed a good clean. I used the large, standard head, with the brush in the ‘out’ position. Great suction, good pickup. Took a few minutes to clean the 18′ x 12′ lounge, which has a cream carpet, and it looked great. I then used the smaller upholstery head to clean the sofa and chair… again, very good.
On the kitchen floor, which is vinyl, pickup was good. I’d say the machine would be fine on hard, wooden floors.
The cleaner body is small, so it’s a bit unstable and can flip over, but it’s no big deal. Cable length is good, and it self-returns nicely. Being small it’s easy to store in a small cupboard. The selection of tools (attachments) is fine and would also be good for cleaning out a car, into all the tricky places. No issues with hose or head becoming separated during use, all fit together snugly.
Overall conclusion: Well, for the price I’d say it’s really good value. I hope it lasts and lasts, but time will tell. The build quality seems very good, and it’s a well-thought-out design. I’d say it’s suited to a smaller house/flat, or would be good as a second hoover for upstairs and for doing the car etc. If you have a large house and want just one cleaner, go for a larger, more expensive machine, but for what I need it seems perfect. I don’t have stairs but it would be easy to carry up the stairs whilst cleaning, it’s small and light enough for that, assuming you don’t have mobility issues.
Bags are about a pound each (on Amazon), and based on my cleaning yesterday and checking the bag after I reckon I’ll use five bags in a year maximum, but I don’t have pets or long hair. I think a bagged machine is sensible as bag-less ones can clog up, but that’s my opinion.
So, I’d recommend this vacuum cleaner, I think you would struggle to get anything better (or even as good) for the same price. If it lasts more than two years and keeps sucking, I’ll be very happy!
Small but mighty
What a cracking hoover. You can’t go wrong with amazons own products. I made the mistake of getting long haired cats that broke my previous one, this one was over 50% cheaper so I was a little dubious (gotta save money, my cats have expensive lifestyles). It’s brilliant, suction perfect for haired up carpets. Lightweight to move around with and smaller tools for harder to reach spots.
Easy to empty and maintain the filters . For the price it’s a joy to be hoovering , can you say that with yours? Highly recommend this item. Well done again amazon . It looks kinda hot too

Brilliant little vacuum
I bought this as a spare in case my cleaner’s vacuum stopped working; now, with Covid I have to shield, and I can’t have my cleaner round! So I am having to do my own vacuuming – and I’m so glad I bought this machine last year. I’m not in good health, with little body strength, but I can manage it as it’s so light – I can even take it up and down stairs.
The suction is super-powerful – I found out about this vacuum on the Which? website which gave it a high rating – and yes, it can pick up almost anything – what it can’t do so well is those little bits of lint/paper you get in bathrooms which just stick like glue to the carpet – but then I use the suction hose on those directly – and they do disappear! The tools that come with it are a bit plasticky but they are ok for the price.
It’s very easy to set up using the instructions – which is good, as I’m not techy!
The lead is quite long – stretches the full length of my sitting room – so not too much pulling out of plugs etc.
The overall pick-up/clean ability of this vacuum is actually better than a very expensive one I used to have – the carpets look really clean after.
The one quibble I’d have with it is that emptying the non-disposable fabric dustbag inside is NOT as easy as it looks in the instruction booklet! The contents of the bag don’t just drop out neatly into your bin – they have to pulled out manually, bit by bit = lots and lots of dust – I wear a Covid mask to do this! I’d rather use the fabric bag though than the disposable paper ones, it takes longer to fill up. If you have asthma or are allergic to dust, either don’t do this at all or wear a mask…and just use the paper bags instead.

Got a massive deal on this vacuum cleaner, it was on sale and I had a voucher as well so I paid only 37 pounds. We had medium expectations to be honest, but everything would be an upgrade from that horrible upright bagless vacuum cleaner we had.
It arrived in a day, super easy to put together, lightweight and had some very useful accessories as well. I don’t like the bags it comes with as it doesn’t seem like they’ll filter the fine dust well so I bought a pack of SWIRL Y101 and they are lovely.
My fiance insisted that this vacuum cleaner would be weak and bad, but he had to eat his words when we flicked it on. It almost lifted the carpet floors on max, have to use it on almost the lowest setting to be able to comfortably move it around. It sure does the trick, I went from hardly getting anything off the carpets with the old one to filling a whole bag in a day! The lead is a lot longer than the old vacuum cleaner and on par with premium vacuum cleaners. So incredibly happy with this purchase, super good value for money, even if you get it at full price it’s good value. When this vacuum cleaner has done its duty or we need a separate one for the car/dirty jobs we’ll buy another one from amazonbasics for sure. Highly recommend!
(If you have arthritis, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome or another joint/tissue condition and live alone I would consider a different one that has more wheels for easy movement. This one does require some elbow grease on carpets, so luckily for me I can outsource it to my fiance and stepson)
Suction like no other!
After buying another Dyson & being disappointed with it after only 2 years, I decided to buy this as the reviews were really good & I have to say that I’m not disappointed at all. It’s a little cheap looking but it was a great price and has amazing suction function that is great for all kinds of surfaces. I didn’t realise my carpets were so bad until I used this for the first time as it picked up loads that my Dyson didn’t. I’ve always had a branded hoover but I’m sold with this one as it definitely does the job well.

Within the past years, I have bought several Amazon Basics vacuum cleaner and overall I have been happy of the value for the money of the vacuum cleaner…
I think that the suction power is good and the product keeps well with the time and usage… Overall the product looks solid and good quality…
I was really enthusiastic about the product few years ago, but I am a bit colder now since prices have increased and nowadays amazonbasics is not the cheapest hoover on the market, personally, if I need a vacuum cleaner in the future I would carefully check the pricing with other brands before deciding…
Great little hoove
Actually brought this as a replacement for the exact same model as my ex took the previous one when she moved out… Which should tell you a lot really!
I’ve found the hoover to be lightweight, decent power.. nice selection of attachments, and plenty of length on the plug wire to get around the house.
Only thing is, being a wired hoover its not great on stairs, but it’s light and small enough you can just carry it as you go without too much hassle
Fantastic little vacuum
We bought this vacuum when our 7 year old Miele’s motor burned out after having to contend with ~6 months of builder’s dust permeating through the house. Initially this was only intended to be a stop-gap until the builders had finished, so that we didn’t waste 300 on a new Miele and immediately damage it with all the dust.
First impressions were really good, at least as powerful as I remember the Miele had been, and significantly more so than towards the end of its life. The filters are easy to wash, which should keep it going longer that the Miele lasted.
The small capacity was initially a problem, I’d have to empty it 7 times while doing the stairs, landing and 2 modest sized bedrooms, but I took it as sign of how much more cat-fluff it was picking up than the Miele had been able to, and now the house is mostly clean, it only needs emptying once per room – which I can live with.
The attachments aren’t very well designed and the holder is useless. Fortunately the Miele attachments also fit this, so I use those instead. The basics do seem to work well enough though.
Only other criticism is that when you carry it to do stairs, it looses suction because holding it by the handle puts pressure on the seal between the cyclone and the motor – so you have to put it down on each step.
This is a fantastic little vacuum for the price (35 with promotions when I bought it). The determining factor on whether we keep it long term is if we can get replacement filters… after 5 months of unreasonably hard work, the daily washing has taken its toll on them.
Powerful section.
For the price I’m impressed with the section and build quality.
I like the fact all the accessories live on board, the cleaner has great maneuverability.
Section power is really good, there are two controls for the section one on the handle and one on the machine, you need to turn it down on thick carpet’s as there is to much power.
The tools are a bit small, it’s not that good for the car but for indoor cleaning which is what I use it for, it does the job quite well.
I’m happy with it.
For the price, it's very good value
It’s really lightweight, which was important to me as I have a house with a lot of stairs. I don’t mind changing the bags, I find bagless cleaners lose suction quite rapidly so I’m fine to re purchase bags for it. The 1.5l one is very small so ideal for a little flat or small house. We have all hard floors so when I saw it was mostly good for that, I chose it over more expensive machines. The accessories do feel a bit plasticky and cheap but fundamentally I don’t think it will change the performance of the machine itself. Cord gives plenty of reach in my house. Comes with the usual bag of tools which I’m 99.9% unlikely ever to use!
Am pleased thus far, let’s see how this does after a couple of years….

Got this based on the good reviews and I’m not disappointed.
We previously had a cordless vacuum which we thought was better for our flat but we were wrong. Since using this our house looks new – it’s a rented flat and had quite old carpet. This has helped beyond measure. It’s powerful and small, and the cord is great length which is useful for us as our flat doesn’t have many plugs.
The different heads are also great to dust and get into smaller areas.
High end cleaning for budget price!
After trying a number of mid-price cordless vacuums, I decided they didn’t do the job as well as I required and wanted another corded Miele. I decided after reading the reviews for this vacuum to take the chance and I’m so glad I did! This is just like my corded cat and dog Miele but 200 less! I’m so pleased I bought it, the suction is incredibly strong as others have mentioned, so much so, that I just pull it along my carpet one way! I only have carpet in one room, and the hard floor head (which I didn’t see the point of, proved itself right away – brilliant!) I have three cats, two are long haired, and a dog, we have a lot of dust/mud in the kitchen as we live in the country and this vacuum makes quick work of it all. I had been losing it with my other vacuums as they’d spit bits out or not pick up the finer bits – this is no longer a problem with my Amazon vacuum – as someone with high expectations of a vacuum, I cannot praise this highly enough! If you want something akin to Miele, but not that price tag, buy this. I’ve tipped it over as others mentioned but not to the point it’s turned off, and that happened with my Miele too – I should mention, I’m not sponsored by this vacuum, I’m just so impressed and pleased I took the chance as I’ve saved 200 and am over the moon!
Perfect lightweight vacuum cleane
We already have a Henry Hoover for doing the cleaning, but I found it being too heavy when moving around and even heavier to carry it upstairs. So I was searching for a lighter vacuum cleaner that would be easy to carry on around and would do the cleaning as good as Henry. I’m glad I’ve purchased this Amazon Basics one since it’s easy to carry it and more important, which is the suction power – is really good! It’s same as Henry Hoover or even better, can’t tell exactly, but it’s doing the cleaning job just perfect. It’s emptying easy and the container capacity is good – no need for a bag which mean no unpleasant smell in time. Very happy with this purchase, hopefully it will serve us a long time.

I wasn’t holding out much hope for this product but took a risk after reading the good reviews and waying up the bad reviews.
I’m so glad I did…
When it arrived it was packed well and had plenty of attachment tools 🙂 but it’s fairly small so immediately I was thinking uh oh this is going to be crap I’ve made a mistake…I was wrong!
It’s has great suction I have a cordless vac but it’s not great, so I hoovered the house again today and honestly couldn’t believe how much it’s had picked up. It’s easy to use and easy to move about, yes it’s a plug in but worth putting up with the plug annoyance for the extra suction you get!
The box is easy to put and keep clean
The lead length was fine for me and I have some sizeable rooms.
All in all a great buy I’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a really good basic Hoover 🙂

This Vacuum Cleaner is just amazing. It has powerful suction power which you can adjust to your liking. Feels very well built and easy to use.
It comes with a preinstalled (microfiber) reusable bag and two extra (paper) disposable ones. A lot of different heads are included as well which make perfect use for different surfaces.
The joints are well connected and have a click to release button. Some parts are made of soft rubber for better grip and overall it feels very easy to use even in narrow areas (like under a sofa or bed).
I have used it a couple of times and i’ve never had any issues whatsoever. Amazing product for its price. Every part feels well made to the detail with a great performance in mind.
I totally recommend this product, its worth its money. Will be making another performance review in the following months to see how it goes.
Sturdy, Fantastic Vacuum
Omg it is absolutely amazing. It has taken me ages to make a decision about a new vacuum. This is beyond what I expected. It is amazing. I compared the spec with JL own brand and this at half the price is fantastic. Do not hesitate to buy this product. It is proper quality. It is so sturdy, if you are expecting a light weight cheapo you’ll be wrong. It is a sturdy solid cleaner. I’m so happy with it.
Powerful little beas
I bought this for my office-lab and reception area.
It copes with the carpet, padded mats and laminated flooring just fine. And I love that you can adjust the amount of suction accordingly (on its highest setting it’s strong enough to lift the carpet tiles off the floor!)
Easy to manoeuvre and the stairs were also done with ease. Easy to empty and flush clean.
Haven’t replaced or cleaned the filter yet but it looks pretty straightforward.
I use a more famous brand at home but if that broke down I’d have no hesitation using this one instead.

When I moved into my own house away from my parents I bought a henry as everyone of our relatives have it and they never recommend anything else.
I bought one and used it almost everyday as my infants can pick up there food and go everywhere in the house with it and drop it while eating. So pretty much everyday and sometime wmtwice a day when they are being naughty.
After using it for 8 months I realised how heavy it can get and storage remains an issue at the same time. You cannot store a chubby looking hoover with pipe attached to it, and if you take it off then there is another item you need to store.
I bought this out of curiosity that how good can a hoover be in this price and I am impressed with the outcome.
It is very light weight, light enough to be carried while hoovering if your kids are trying to hold it.
Its is so powerful that you have to use it on a medium power so the hoover does not gets stuck on the carpet.
Excellent finish and strong pipe with a lot of flexibility on its head.
Very happy with purchase and sold my henry in two days after using this.

Fantastic suctio
I stopped buying bagged vacuums a few years ago as I was struggling to get hold of the bags. I used bagless for some time but having the vacuum on every day was leaning cleaning the filters more often. I was finding emptying them created a lot of dust.
After reading reviews on here, I thought I’d give it a try. I was not disappointed the suction was powerful and lifted the carpet. Pretty sure it’s picked up years of hair (slight exaggeration but it looked like it) I was happy to see if also takes mesh bags which last longer. Nice and lightweight, the air circulation is on top of the vacuum, unlike my old one. Would highly recommend
Powerful and efficient hoove
Wow, this is perfect for hoovering everywhere. The suction is so powerful I have to have it on minimum power to use on my carpets. The reloading of the cord is fast and efficient. I am so pleasantly surprised as it was cheap and I was expecting the worse. Only if turned out to be perfect. I only have a one bedroom cottage. Not sure if it would be durable in a 4/5 bedroom house. I would recommend people give it a try.
Amazing Vacuum Cleaner, Amazing Value
Extremely light weight and compact. Very strong suction power. Great for hard floors AND carpets. Very easy to move around. I don’t understand why most vacuum cleaners are so outrageously expensive when this one does the job so well at such a low price. You really can’t go wrong with this. Pick the 1.5l one if you need portability, light weight, or if you have a small (upto 3 bedroom house). Otherwise, get the 3l one that offers double the capacity for a slight increase in size and weight.
It comes with a good set of attachments. I find the crevice attachment particularly useful around corners and to get rid of pesky spider webs.
This is a wonderful device for students, graduates, and really anyone looking to buy a good vacuum cleaner for a great price.

Little hoover with a good suction on carpets , heavy mats but not light mats.
The suction power is as good at My old “Henry” . I liked Henry but is getting to heavy to move around especially up and down the stairs.
I have given up on dragging heavy hoovers around the house , more than 8 carpeted areas to hoover including stairs. Then I bought the cordless ones -two of them -I have pets. I kept one downstairs and one upstairs to avoid moving the hoover up and down the stairs.
Then the battery on both these cordless run out-needs new battery. One each, which I am not keen on buying again.
It is why I decided to check this Amazon vacuum which I admit it exceeded my expectations on how powerful it is. I use the very small ‘nose’ to make sure it lifts up all the dust. It picks up some dog hair. Bear in mind is not designed for this purpose. I needed something to literally lift up dust. I use the cordless hoovers for the hair on the pet mats. The cordless hoovers are designed for collecting pet hair although the battery now last only about 3 minutes.
Going back to this Amazon hoover. Is easy to use on the stair case as well. The cord comes out easily – good length -I did not measure it- and it goes back in its place very easily -so no rolling and rolling of the cable around when finishing .
Another plus for me -I can take the dust bag out easily-instead of emptying it like I did with the cordless ones.
It has a nice non intrusive design -I hoover every day so I tend to leave around at random because I am using it daily anyway and I think the black design is nice.
It works ok on heavy mats on the floor but not on light ones. It pulls up the light doggy mats.
The only thing that I would have liked is the height of it. Even extended to its highest I still have to bend slightly when using it.

Well I am glad I saw through the marketing of the big brands and flashy colours and bought this item.
This vacuum is extremely good value, lightweight and very versatile with included accessories which you can mix and match as the situation requires.
Although a corded vacuum may seem like a compromise, it does afford consistent and excellent power/suction. Some have mentioned that the cord isn’t long enough, so get a 5 extension cord to add 5m+… simple.
The unit is very light weight and has a useful swing out handle making it very easy to use on the stairs and in awkward areas. On the atairs (super awkward spiral!) I wiull take off the main tube and attach one of the accessories directly to the handle.
You really can’t expect much at this price point but you get a heck of a lot.
I live in a large 1 bedroom apartment which has awkward space, is over 3 floors with a spiral staircase & a pigeon ladder, it is 75% hard floor and remainder carpet.
A cordless vacuum would be useful but to get anywhere near the power of this vacuum I would probably need to spend 200+

I have only used this briefly therefore a brief review. It arrived today well packed and with no issues. All the attachments needed are present and correct and seem to be up to the task. The one area of concern I have is the clip that hold the waste disposal in place. Like the majority of the cleaner it is made entirely of plastic. It’s the kind of plastic that can fail quite easily. A little to much pressure when in use and it will break. This will render the whole cleaner useless. I don’t think a spare will be available. Maybe it will but I very much doubt it. If mine breaks in use within the year the cleaner is going back. It should be up to the task and fit for purpose. It is one of those household goods that can be used everyday (not by me……I’m too lazy!) and so is liable to sustain a lot of wear and tear. Other than that worry the cleaner seems good. The suction at the moment is insane and pull the damn carpet off the floor! Wow! No doubt it will not stay like this but it’s fun whilst it lasts. I hope when the suction peters out a bit that it is still serviceable. To sum up it is a good cleaner with although potentially fragile. Time will tell…………..
I have no complaints about this at all. It was given a “Which?” Best buy, and I can see why. I bought it as my wife refused to let me use her new vacuum cleaner for my car. I was surprised how powerful it was, (It can be adjusted.) It pulled the dry mud and small pieces of gravel out of the carpet without any bother and made a better job than the old Dyson upright. The attachments are easy enough to put on and take off. It’s light and portable. The length of the cable could be longer but, for the car, I have to use an extension cord anyway. I was carried away and did the tile floor in the hall – that was good too!

Its suction is phenomenal even going as far as having to reduce suction occasionally.
I bought a brand new Miele Blizzard but been so happy with this little vac ive not even used my Miele yet.
Great value for money in my opinion. My daughter was impressed too so i purchased one for her too. She loves it. Its compact unlike my previous Dysons so fit into tight spaces for storage.

I was slightly hesitant about this vacume but it seemed to have good reviews and I can honestly say it’s fab, as you can see from the pics iv been using a bag less hoover with AAA rating and it was rubbish at picking up, kept blocking up all the time and was discusting to empty and clean especially when you have dust allergy. This amazon basic compares very similar to Miili vacume I had years ago, great suction, some people didn’t like that but you can alter the strength, open the hose vent and its no problem. I love the hard floor brush and use that most of the time. It would have had 5 stars if it wasnt for the high pitch noise it makes, It doesn’t bother me that much but my husband doesn’t like it, but that could be an excuse not to use it.
So we have spent 90 odd quid on hoovers whose suction dies after 2 months, I bought one hoover that you could only use for 2 minutes before it jammed for 60 (yes I know I’m a mug). This hoover for 30 quid has them all beat, it’s suction is so powerful small animals flee lest they get sucked up into the machine of terror, my carpets look, feel and smell clean as a result. It is not the most manoeuverable hoover, as I speak it’s slowly rolling over just thinking about corners but then it’s also 30 quid, I’d rather have a hoover that sucks up dirt than one that can complete a lap of the nurburgring. It is also lovely and lightweight! All round excellent hoover!

Buy it. I own a regular Dyson and a 1900w 2013 vaccum pre eu regualtion. Both are loud and powerful so when i turned this on t had this weak noise but it surprised me with its suction capability. To clarify when you are used to the loud beasts that rip the fibers out of your carpets this does sound pathetic but when you stat using it it does its job;. Not as aggressive as the beasts but picks up all the rubbish. een on its very lowest setting it still sucks in crumbs and dust. I was surprised by that last bit. On its lowest setting it felt like it wasn’t even on. My kettle is louder than this setting.
Overall very good for the price. Nice looking, sucks well. Has a nob for variable suction which you can use to vacuum on different surfaces (very handy even my Dyson cant do this). the variable setting s ideal fr surfaces when the high suction setting wont allow you to move the stick.
I would buy this again over the other budget vacuums. Some people complain about anything but if you want something to clean with this will do the job, looks good, feels good and is cheap in price.
I purchased a few other amazon basic electronics in the past and generally from my experience when amazon stick their name on a product it turns out good.
Thanks amazon if it was another 10 cheaper would buy a second one.
Very quiet, good suction, light a d easy to use.
This hoover is surprisingly, the best hoover I’ve bought by my own preference. For.the surprisingly low cost, you get a hoover which is impressively quiet, to the point where I wasnt sure I had actually turned it on properly. The auction on this hoover is really good and more importantly, adjustable, meaning formats, etc, dont get dragged along the floor.
The power cable is retractable via a butting making for a hoover that is easy to pack away without spending 5 minutes wrapping the cord around 2 infuriating pins.
The hoover comes with 4 additional accessories alongside its standard nozzle, maximizing the hoovers use.
Overall, the hoover provides a clean home stress free. I personally feel this hoover stands nicely along side some of the higher end and higher price ranges hoovers at a fraction of the cost.
Amazing purchase, would buy again.

I was looking for a hoover for a small studio flat and was resigned to the fact I was going to have to spend quite a lot of money … then I decided to look on Which? … I’m so pleased I did! This hoover is a fraction of the price of others and has excellent Which? reviews. I’m not surprised about the good reviews, it is great for the hard wooden floors and picks up large lumps of debris as well as crumbs etc. It is small and fits easily in the cupboard under the sink – another bonus in a small flat. Very lightweight. If the lead was a bit longer that would be good because then I could hoover the front hallway of the building too without unplugging. Very pleased!
I am a “cleanliness” fuss person to the extent of obsessions and compulsions.
I haven’t see such a suction performance in vacums. Will write detailed review later on. I wish if Amazon can make similar in upright and handsheld.
Edit1: the resilience in bristles is far better than competitors. The lock mechanism can be improved.

* It is compact, plus it comes with a small selection of tools (crevice and round bristle) and a plastic device to store them on the machine
The bad:
* It has quite a plasticky construction and wouldn’t be able to stand the wear and tear of family life
* The round brush dusting tool was pretty useless on the stairs
This light-weight vacuum is surprisingly powerful and certainly at the moment, its really good. I use it in between using my cordless vac, for a deeper clean, plus for my vacu-bags. It cleaned my car better than my original vacuum too, which was an unexpected surprise. I am still using the cloth bag that came with it, so it will be interesting to see how the paper bags included, fare.
Why spend more when this vacuum cleaner does the job very well.
My second Dyson cleaner broke down and I decided I wasn’t spending a fortune on another one for a two bedroom apartment.
I read Which and also checked out the John Lewis vacuum cleaner. This one’s slightly smaller brother got a Best Buy in Which, it also looked similar to the John Lewis one, which got good customer reviews. So I decided to take the risk.
Excellent vacuum cleaner for considerably less than any Dyson.
I had become disillusioned with the Dyson anyway.
This machine’s suctions is really excellent. Gives the two rooms with carpets a fantastic clean.
The main room and hallways are wooden floors and this vacuum just sweeps and sucks everything up. Also excellent on the tiles in the bathroom and kitchen.
The house was spotless at the end.
It comes with several accessories for cleaning.
Is easy to pull along and also easy to carry.
I am really pleased I bought this vacuum cleaner.

Brilliant value for money, very lightwight (something I needed as severly disabled) Suction so strong on max it actually sticks to the carpet!! This little machine is more than capable of cleaning any carpet ,I have a indian rug that is a real pest to clean yet this vacuum did it in just one cover, when it normally takes me 3 to 4 sweeps to get it clean. Well done and well worth every penny. Thank-you Amazon for such a good product and so cheap one can afford to have 2 one downstairs and one up to save carrying it at all.
I am so pleased with this vacuum I would even say it is the best that I have had. The suction is great, in the past I have had uprights, stick, and cordless. but this one beats them all. I would say bin the stick type that only holds a cupful of dirt and then you realize that you have only hovered one and a half rooms,thenyou also have to take them apart to clean small filters, This one has a paper bag, and comes with a spare but I have been using mine for approx a month and still have not had to ditch the bag. at the time that I bought this I also purchased two packs of additional bags as I was not certain how large the bags were. We have a dog and I was not sure it would not cope with the dog hairs, but I should not have worried because it copes better than the old vacuum that had a pet hair attachment.

Didn’t believe some of the reviews for this product as I had bought this at a knock down price. Yes its bagged but does that really matter. Well it arrived well packaged in its box and was surprised how many brushes it had inside. Read the instructions as you do put it together switched it on. The suction power of this little machine is fantastic. I have mostly wooden floors on the ground floor had to pull the nozzle off the floor as it was stuck to it. There were two floor brushes with this just used the wrong one for carpets not hard floors. It came with a cloth bag and two paper bags which is just enough. It comes with a bag full indicator so you know when to empty the bag. One word for this little machine with excellent suction and brushed “fantastic”.

I’ve had upright vacuum cleaners for about forty years and was loath to give up my old Dyson but the fact was it was getting too heavy and awkward for me to cart up and down the stairs…and I only have a little house now!
I compared reviews and decided to chance this Amazon model. Cheap as chips and very efficient. Very easy to empty. The only thing I don’t like about it is the top part of the hose; it’s a slightly odd shape for me but I’m getting used to it.
Heaven knows how long it will last but at this price, well!
A very good basic vacuum cleane
The vacuum cleaner is very efficient at removing “loose” dirty from carpets but sometimes struggles to pick up dirt which is entwinned in the pile of the carpets – but I suspect other more expensive cleaners might also struggle. The only “problem” I have encountered when using the vacuum cleaner is, even with the suction set to minimum and the vent in the hose fully open, is that it sucks up some carpets and gets stuck on a thick piled carpet – however when I use the hard floor attachment it works very well. Compared to my previous cylinder vacuum cleaner, it is heavier but is still OK to use on the stair carpet.
Firstly, the suction on this thing is impressive – seems more powerful than our old model (Samsung) ever was. It’s also nice and light to move around. The machine itself is very compact to store, but when you take the hose into account, it does still take up more or less the same room as our old one (with the hose attached to the machine as intended). You can attach the hose for storage with the ‘cylinder’ in either vertical or horizontal position, to suit the space you have available.
My main criticism (hence the drop from five to four stars) is that the suction is _so_ powerful, it makes it quite hard to move the head back and forth on carpet (not so much of a problem on hard floors). That’s with suction set to minimum and even with the hose vent open. It does clean well, but just takes more effort for that reason, so we’re actually using it only for hard floors and using our old (generally less effective) one for carpet.
It comes with the usual set of handy attachments (crevice tool etc), which can be stowed at the top of the hose using a holder provided, but it’s easy to catch it and knock it off so we keep them separate. Also, when upright you have to be careful to grab the unit by the recessed handle and not the catch for the cover (which I’ve done a few times by mistake). When horizontal, there’s a separate fold-out handle.
Finally, the bit where the flexible hose joins the metal pipe isn’t all that tight (on ours at least) so I’ve had the two come apart during use a few times. Could really do with a proper catch. Not a major issue though, and could be fixed with some tape if need be, but still an area that could be improved upon. Overall, still happy with the machine, especially for the price.
Most vacuums in the entry level price range often do not have very good dust filtration or any dust filtration at all and you end up shooting the fine dust you have vacuumed up back into the room. I am pleased to say that this vacuum has a HEPA grade dust filter and after a couple of uses appears to be performing well. This compact vacuum cleaner is much quieter at lower and higher power settings than my previous vacuum cleaner and is easy to move around the house. The suction on the lowest setting is acceptable for the weekly vac and I am glad that there is the option to increase the suction strength if necessary. The quality of the plastic housing and piping is good and you get a variety of attachments. The only criticism would be the length of the power cord being quite short (having to unplug and re-plug going from room to room) as well as the quality of the cord itself; the cord is very thin and if caught against a corner and pulled may easily snap. I would have preferred to have bought the larger version however, the larger version was unavailable for many months and it was not clear whether this would have returned to the market (I believe it has since returned for sale).

This is an amazing little vacuum for such an inexpensive cost I have used both upright and cylinder versions of Hoover, Dyson, Miele and Sebo in my homes, and was looking for a vacuum that would be inexpensive, light, and do a good job in a second property. This fits the bill more than any of the others mentioned above. The Hoover was simple to use but heavy; all my Dysons (both cylinder and upright) have been too complicated to use in a flash; the Miele cylinder was a bit unwieldy to drag around; and the Sebo – whilst powerful – is large and heavy. This little Amazon Basics vacuum is very portable in both size and weight. There are simple suction controls, a variety of attachments kept on the handle, and the cable reach is perfectly good, as is the reach on the handle. It will stand upright on narrow stairs, or pull around like a happy dog as you negotiate chairs, tables, etc. It’s easy to change the bag – and, being ‘Basics’, are inexpensive to purchase. The suction power is remarkable, and I can see the carpet being lifted as I work round. Even my husband loves it and commented, the first time he used it, on how amazing it is.
I got this hesitantly as our old vacuum broke and this had better reviews than 100+ vacuums on Which. It looks like any other basic vacuum, it was super easy to assemble, the instructions said to put it on low suction to start with, which I ignored as I never in my life operated a vacuum on low. This vacuum suction was so powerful I not only switched to low, but also opened the little window thing on the hose!!! We have carpets everywhere and I saw this had 4/5 rating for carpets, I really don’t understand why! It took only ONE stroke and the carpet was clean! And we havent hooveted for a while, plus I shed hair like a large dog in summer! I didn’t even have to remove the hair from the carpet brush, which I was used to doing with every other vacuum I had. I am extremely impressed, I’m keeping this forever and seriously don’t feel compelled to buy a Dyson anymore! The only downfall is that it’s not bagless, but it’s a tenner for 20 bags so not bad.
I’m 74 and this is the first time I’ve bought a cheap vacuum.it was recommended by Which Magazine so I took the plunge and am really pleased that I did.its a really great wee machine light weight which is a must for me as I have longhaired chihuahua and need to hoover every day as they shed like mad.its not too noisy so I can hoover away at night without disturbing the neighbours it has great suction fits neatly on the stairs & leaves my carpet and floors spotlessly clean yes I can honestly recommend amazons cylinder vacuum.beats all those name brand expensive vacuums hands down thanks Which
This hoover is really light for me to carry small and its compact Powerful is an understatement, its just as well it has the ability to turn the power down, super effective on wood floors and lino, and it makes short work of the carpets and rugs, and for a test i used it to hoover my huge Cat Trees and wow all cart hair was gone.. can’t go wrong with this and it comes with dust bags.. highly recommend this purchase
I love this hoover and I have had many small cylinder ones in the past. It looks stylish initially with the shiny black. The suction is unreal and the heads easy to use and change. For the money it is unbelievable and I have paid a lot more in the past for lower suction products that have been ditched along the years. I am amazed at the low cost of this hoover for such a high quality product. Highly recommended.
Arrived safely Well boxed, in its own brand box, no excess packaging to need discarding. Lightweight, but powerful. I initially thought the power cord was jammed in the machine, so having said it was non operational, and reordering!!! my husband showed me that you had to hold down the cord button, and the cable releases!!! Having shared my blushes, it has since worked perfectly, no problems, and will earn it’s keep!
I’m a single mum to three children, two of them asthma and myself, I’m on a tight budget, so I needed something reasonable priced and to arrive quickly when my Zannusi vacuum broke down. And this one is AMAZING! I can’t recommend highly enough, it’s very strong/lightweight and quiet, and a fantastic price! Don’t be put off by non branded name, it is fabulous!
I have a plugin battery GTEC for light cleaning but needed something to go under the bed and to get the dust off skirting board, also didn’t want to pay a lot of money. Welcome the Amazon basics vacuum cleaner, just what I wanted for a deep carpet clean and equally wooden floor, simply easy to use, so many attachments, could not be without it, LOVE it. (amazing just how much dust etc., it pick up in the bag)
I order this one because of the price and power. I am very pleased with it. It was stronger than I expected with a very good dust absorb function. It came with several types of tops which suits any type of hard-to-reach places. The quality of the plastic is very good, is very easy to mount it and to keep it. It does not use lot of space in the house.
Amazing vacuum cleaner, very strong even on the lowest setting. I bought it for my small flat, I was so impressed by the quality and suction power that as I opened it, vacuum cleaned the whole flat!
Good little Hoover .. I have a cordless vax Hoover which I love and is so easy to use but unfortunately it does not work well on my shag pile rugs.
So i bought this little cylinder vacuum Hoover which is ideal for shag pile and rugs, it’s cheap and cheerful but great value for money I’m so glad I bought it now..
Very similar to the hoover one that blew up yesterday after years of use. Only drawback was it was hard to use in that it stuck to the carpet with the high suction. I fitted the old tools from the other hoover and it works 100% with a big plus at the end. Tried it before my wife came in and she was overjoyed with it. Bought 20 bags so that should last for a long time. Only thing is the lead could be longer but for the money and you don’t want frills is buy this and you wont be disappointed. 5 stars

I purchased this item mainly for vacuuming the car. Whilst it appears to have a good suction and seems to be well made – particularly bearing in mind the price – I found that the short crevice tool supplied was not long enough to clean the space beside the front seats. I have, however, managed to overcome this problem by constructing an adaptor enabling me to connect a longer crevice tool, from an previous vacuum cleaner, to the new machine. Apart from this – fairly minor problem – I am generally very satisfied with my purchase.
Started to look for a new hoover as mine was not picking up properly. After about a week decided to go for the Amazon basic bagged and I am so glad I did.
1st.. suction…..Brilliant it might be only 700 watt but boy is it powerful, another reviewer stated that it lift mats and yes it does but you can either turn down the power or open up the air intake.
2nd..cylinder model…replaced a Shark rotator liftaway upright and the Amazon cylinder basic is much, much better.
3rd…Comes complete with 3 bags but have purchased another pack of 10 paper bags for less than 10 bargain.
4th… Comes complete with a 2 year guarantee so for 40 how can you go wrong.
Absolutely loving the vacuum now that i am use to it and really glad I bought it.
I have only had this product a few days, so I cannot speak for the longjevity of the product, but I can say that it is light, has a great suction, and does exactly what it says on the tin. I am really pleased with this product and would definately recommend it.
Brilliant hoover and easy to operate. Nice long lead and extending handle also has different attachments for dusting and reaching up to skirting boards etc. Very light and much easier to use than my other heavy hoover.
