Moving house and 20 years of old statements and bills and just rubbish that I’d never thrown out. This handles it great, no flicker at 10 or more sheets at same time. Does not overheat – has a built in fan to keep it cool. Very fine shred too.

Longer shredding period
Having to replace my old shredder, I found out that many of the new shredders only operate for a few minutes and then you have to stop so they don’t overheat, As mine is used for a home business that was not efficient. The Bonsai has its own cooling built in so you can shred for longer. So far it seems to work very well and I would recommend.

Superb machine that works very well and with the built in fan keeps the unit cool and going. would suit small home office with a few users, we don’t place then 10 sheets so not to place under to much pressure. it’s is easy to use and reverse option of jams, shreds paper / credit cards with no effort. Very impressed
I’ve owned several shredders which claim to cut multiple pages at the same time and I’ve never had one that actually stood up to the claims – but this one does! It is a little noisier than I would have liked but it’s so simple to use that I can put it with that.

Does exactly as advertised
My old Shredder needed changing so when I saw this advertised with up to 30 minute shredding time it was just what I needed. It has proved to be exactly what I was looking for & whilst I have not used for the full 30 mins. it has been used for long periods successfully. Delivered on time & is well packaged.

Fantastic piece of equipme
As a mortgage and protection adviser, I need to shred a lot of paperwork. I have tried a number of shredders, that overheat too quick and jam frequently. This shredder is second to none, great performance and has never over heated yet, after atleastabdhourof continuous shredding. This was my second Bonsaii shredder, the first one was the 12 page home/office type and only lasted a day and a half, this one is much more robust. Only fault is the feed slot could have done with being wider or slanted as it’s only a straight slot across the top and can be awkward to feed the paper in. So far I’ve not had it stop to do a cool down which is a massive bonus when your shredding pape

Best Paper Shredder Ever!
Just used this fabulous piece of equipment and it has shredded everything I fed it! Glossy paper, flimsy paper, normal paper it took it all without faltering, cutting it all up into tiny little pieces. It said it would work for 30 minutes without stopping, mine did this easily without any problems. Would thoroughly recommend this shredder if you have a lot to shred, that is confidential too.

Can’t fault this machine. I have had a lot and I mean a LOT of shredding recently. This handles 14 sheets easily and it goes constantly for a full 30 minutes- not like the last one I had which kept cutting out every 5 minutes. I love the fan that kicks in to keep everything cool. All in all a great purchase. Definitely recommend.

I had originally purchased this product back in September 2018. It worked perfectly well for several months but then developed a mechanical fault. I love this shredder, so much better than my old one, happily shreds 10 sheets of a4 paper in one go and keeps going a long time…my old one only lasted 2 minutes before it went into cooldown ….now I get all my shredding done in one go. The drawer for the shredded paper is also really good..no more having to take the top off my old shredder to empty the container and get bits of paper everywhere..just pull out the drawer and take straight to recycling bin..no mess.

broke after one month but replaced within a week
Shredder will not turn on anymore, hardly used and stopped working after just over one month. Supplier and manufacturer impossible to reach and ignoring all email communications. The supplier got in touch and was very apologetic, the shredder was replaced and sent out within 2 days. We have been using it and so far everything is working well. Thank you

I’ve had a could of shredders in the past that have I’ve found to be rubbish despite all the good reviews they’ve received. So it was with some caution that I purchased this one from amazon. However I am pleasantly surprised and very happy with this shredder. It seems solid, is extremely quick when “munching” its way through the tons of paperwork I want to get rid of. It hasn’t clogged up once which is wonderful and is so easy to empty. I purchased the oil to go with it to as recommended and that’s easy to apply as well. Very happy customer indeed.

Shreds paper. Doesn't jam.
Not a cheap shredder, but worth the extra cost as it seems to work exactly as described. Shreds multiple sheets without jamming, and doesn’t seem to overheat. I have used it continuously for about 10-12 mins without any problems.
It’s not particularly quiet, and I suppose a bigger bin would be handy, but overall this shredder is a good compromise.

This shredder is a lot quieter than others I’ve used. Good throughput and good size bin. Re3gular use of oil is recommended to keep the unit in top working order. Only downside is that it doesn’t shred Credit cards.

Worth the extra money, doesnt overheat if shredding lots! Never jammed!
I have used several home shredders in the past, which family have purchased from Robert Dyers, Tescos etc. The issues with all of them have been the same. They overheat after a short amount of time shredding. Which if you have lots of old paperwork to shred means it takes days to do. This shredder worked like a champion, shreding 10 years worth of papers that resulted in 5 full black bin bags. It did not Jam, it did not overheat and did the job pretty quickly. This is definetly worth the extra money!

A good buy.
Very pleased with this shredder. Happily shreds 5 or 6 sheets fairly constantly, and more if it’s asked. I was fed up with my previous shredder (different make) as it would do 2 or 3 sheets then get stuck. The Bonsai one is efficient and pretty quiet, and has a good sized basket. I have no complaints at all.
efficient, has a large capacity
This was chosen to shred quite a bit of paperwork. It works fast, substantial machine and has a big ‘basket that is easy to empty without touching the shredding bit. Just a bit noisy but what shredder isn’t.

Home office use to replace an old shredder that stopped working. The product arrived as scheduled was easy to set up and appears to work quietly and efficiently. Have shredded paper, old credit cards and it seemed to chop them with ease. I like the removable bucket that makes emptying simple

Excellent Service
It was bought for a small business with a requirement that on frequent basis have many lever arch files worth of records to destroy not just a few receipts etc. The first unit I received functioned perfectly for a couple of months but during a period of heavy use a gear within the unit failed. I contacted the UK agent and after I had provided them some feedback to what had failed them supplied me with a new unit which has worked perfectly now over the last 2 months. Whilst we all hope when we buy a product that we don’t have to call upon the warranty (as done the manufacturers) but however good a product is there will be the occasional failures the issue is how well they are resolved and my experience Bonsaii UK were first rate in this.
I have owned three different shredders now incuding this one, a cheaper 50 shredder, one costing 180 and this one which I paid 110.00 for and this is probably the best value for money one that I have owned. Yes you get what you pay for but surely there has to be a cut off point, a shredder costing over 100 and a shredder costing over 200 they both shred paper so you should ask what extra are you getting for your money?
There is nothing I don’t like about this shredder but here are a couple of important things I do like about it. First and most importantly, the enclosed bin or paper collection area. Some shredders have wired mesh style containers, these are awful as you will get paper ‘dust’ the bin on this Bonsaii shredder is totally enclosed, no dust escapes, ideal for a home office enviroment.
Secondly the container size, believe me size does matter when it comes to a shredder, this at 17 litres this is a perfect size, you won’t find yourself having to empty it as often and although it might sound a minor thing now it is so annoying when a shredder needs continuously emptying.
Some cheaper shredders are literally a basket or bucket with a shredder unit situated on top, this isn’t, it is a proper unit with a bucket that slots in and out of a casing structure with ease. The kind that have units sitting on top of a basket or bucket are messy when it comes to emptying, really avoid those if you can.
The Bonsaii Evershed states it will shred 14 sheets at a time, this is probably true if you have low GSM paper but I doubt it would shred 14 sheets of 120gsm at a time. I put through around 6-8 sheets and it eats them with ease. Whilst it might not seem that important having shredders that says it will shred less please remember the ability to shred less at a time will mean a lesser strength motor
If you need a very good home office shredder then this fits the bill perfectly, pay much less and you won’t get the important features like enclosed large capacity bucket and the ability to shred 14 sheets at a time, pay much more and ask yourself what extra are you getting, if you want a paper shredder that shreds paper and works why spend much more.

Great shredder & great custoemr service
Bought one of these last december, (2017) and had it now for nearly 12 months. It has been a brilliant shredder up until a few weeks ago when I noticed it seemed to be slowing down when undertaking repeated shredding even if only a few sheets at a time. I have never put in 14 probably maximum 8-10 at any oen time and usually much less. I raised it with Morning Joy and after asking me to check/try a few things they concluded a gear may have broken. No hassle at all they offerred to refund my original payment in full. Great customer service! looking at the reviews I think I have just been unlucky and will happily buy another.

Couldn’t wait for this to arrive as the old shredder had given up the ghost and the paperwork was piling up. We’ve been busy all last week so didn’t want to order it until we knew we would be there to receive it. The delivery was nice and quick and the driver was a cheerful chap to talk to. This is far more expensive than I have ever spent on previous shredders and was dubious about buying It but I was fed up of having to replace them or wait half hour for them to cool down. Once out the box it looked bigger than I thought it would be which was a good thing I’m not complaining as I never checked the dimensions. It looked nice and feels good quality and prob wouldn’t be out of place in a office as well as a home. I couldn’t believe the speed it chewed through a carrier bag full of paperwork I couldn’t keep up with filling it. It’s lovely and quite to use with no vibration than any of the others I’ve had in the past. The motor sounds different as well when it’s working, it’s got a powerful expensive sort sound and it never cut out once. It’s an all round beast of shredders and im so glad I bought it. Update had this 3 years now and still working ok.

I bought this to shred a filing cabinet full of old personal papers. In the office we had a monster shredder that could eat anything . This isn’t quite at that level but it will happily munch through ten sheets at a time and keeps on going remorselessly. It chops it up nice and small too. All in all just what you want from a shredder.

Incredible service
Shredder was working fine until a small part on it broke. The service we got from Morning Joy was just perfect. After sending a couple of photos of the broken part a new shredder was sent straight away at no cost at all and is working fine so far. Not much else you can ask for. Highly recommend this company to buy from for that reason alone.

All other shredders I have owned have the cooling fan run by the cutter motor so as you load the cutter motor the fan slows down reducing cooling when you actually need it more! The Bonsaii C169-B just keeps going – no waiting around for half an hour for the thermal trip to reset as with my previous units.

Have no problems with this shredder because it has not overheated, keeps shredding for as long as we require (although we do not try to overdo continuous shredding } and is easy to empty. It is a pleasure to use this machine which does not miss a beat during shredding.

Great Shredder with Long Running Time
We recently bought a small version of this shredder to shred years and years of back records in the office. It overheated and cut out regularly and jammed irrevocably after a few days. So we bit the bullet and bought this higher end version with a long run time. Yes, of course you have to let it cool down occasionally but, with what seems to be an inbuilt fan, this is only occasionally. We managed to shred 15 plastic sacks of paper over a fairly short period and, although noisy, the shredder is nowhere near as noisy as some and could be used in the office area. HIghly recommended.

Excellent Customer Service
Purchased this shredder in December 2017 on the back of positive reviews even though it was more expensive than I would normally pay. Arrived promptly, very easy to set up and a robust product, did the job as described, quieter than most, good auto, stop and reverse controls, adequate & easy to empty waste bin, probably best not to put the max number of sheets in as can lead to jams, but it has an impressive cooling feature, I also bought the oil to help maintain its working life. After six months I had an issue with the cutter so I took photos and emailed the sellers customer service department. They were excellent and sent out a replacement item almost immediately with no requirement to return the faulty one.
Overall very satisfied with this shredder.
Quiet and efficient - would have been 5 stars if it could shred credit cards too
Just purchased this as a motivation to sort out a load of old bills and paperwork for recycling. My existing 10+ years old shredder was a cheap and cheerful ’20 quid special’ that frequently jammed and made this chore much worse. I was reluctant to spend 5x that much but decided that if I was going to get a new unit I might as well get a good one this time.
The Bonsaii Evershred is lightyears ahead of my old Rexel, and I would say is most suited to a home office. It is sturdily built, amazingly quiet and has a decent capacity bin (with a clear window) that slides out rather than having to lift off the top of the unit to empty. I am very pleased with my purchase – and only fell short of giving 5 stars as I would have liked the ability the shred credit cards and CDs too.
Great shredder!
This shredder runs quite quietly and will take 14 sheets of ordinary paper to shred at one time. If the paper is thicker, fewer sheets can be shredded at once. I would have liked the shredder to “eat” staples as well but the shredder works very well and the 30 minute running time is a great asset! The bin pulls out of the front of the shredder which also adds ease of use. I am happy to recommend this shredder.

Slow but assume that it needs its power to cope with multiple pages. Heavy but a substantial piece of kit.
Only serious criticism is that the collection bin does not come out or in again very easily. If it is full or nearly full, it is too easy to spill the shreds everywhere and picking them up is a bore. Can also block vacuum cleaners!.

I purchased this Bonsaii EverShred in January this year and found it a very good shredder running well with no issues. I particularly liked the longer running time and it has a built in cooling fan. Not that I run it for 30 minutes at a time but sometimes you want a shredder to run for longer that the five or so minutes many other brands do. In June I had an issue with the paper guide by the cutter teeth, broken off partially. I contacted Bonsaii customer service and after an exchange of emails and a photo they readily agreed to replace my shredder FOC. The new shredder is working fine with no issues. The one thing I would say about Bonsaii customer service department is, I do not think I have come across better on line customer service. The lady I dealt with was first class with excellent customer service, updates of the progress of my enquiry and a tracking number provided when the replacement was sent. Thank you for your prompt action and replacement.

Only managed to use it long enough to get the fan to kick in twice but its reassuring that its protecting itself with cooling and could carry on. Easy to empty. Should have a long life if given a bit of oil now and then. It could perhaps run a teeny shade faster, but as it takes quite a lot in one go its still quick to use. worth the few quid more.

Amazing shredder. We also bought the oil to go with it. It says on the instructions to use the oil, which can also be purchased through Amazon to prolong the life of the shredder. Amazingly easy to use. Extremely quick to set up. We haven’t needed to use the oil yet as we haven’t shredded enough paper but the instructions say that using the oil is a must, so don’t forget to buy some when you purchase the shredder! This shredder is permanently set up in our house. We get a lot of junk mail which has our name and address on, which used to pile up. Now we can shred as and when we need to which prevents mass piles of paper! I would highly recommend this shredder.
This shredder has been used a couple of times since I purchased it, each time dealing with quite a pile of paperwork with our names and address details on. The shredder nailed the work each time. This machine seems to be far superior to the ten-quid ones we’ve bought in the past that don’t last five minutes before they jam up or just break down. The only down side to the end result is the fact that we can’t get the local dustbinmen to take the shredded bits away for paper recycling, so it goes in the household waste wheelie bin instead for burial in the local landfill site; such a waste.

You just can’t compare this with cheaper shredders. This is Premium shredding. Doesn’t create mess when you take the tray out. Doesn’t over heat. The only thing I would say is that the tray doesn’t slide too well to get it in and out.

It certainly likes chomping on paperwork! In the last two days it’s shredded something in excess 18 inches of A4 paperwork with minimal issues. Purchased the shredder oil as well which helps with the smooth running particularly with the heavy usage. No clogging of the cutting mechanism experienced to date. Slight squeaking at times when only a couple of sheets go through; more than happy managing ten sheets or so but will do 14 as stated. The extended running time is impressive – you can hear the fan come in every so often which seems to work and enable the long running time – so far it’s never cut out on me due to over heating etc despite the fair intensive use I’ve put it through. Seriously impressed.

I’ve used this item hard over the past week as I’ve been destroying the ‘evidence’, I mean my old tax returns. Cuts the bits into small enough pieces to dissuade all but the most determined identity thieves.
It’s certainly not whisper quiet but it is quiet enough to chat or watch tv while shredding.

What a great bit of kit, like other reviews wasted money on cheaper shredders, this one is amazing, shredded two bagfulls with no problems, so quiet even when the fan kicks in, i am converted to the Bonsaii shredder tribe!

I do really like this shredder and am glad that I invested more than I normally would.
It shreds documents quite quickly, and I’ve never yet had it cut out on me – even though I have been shredding quite a lot of documents lately as I’ve been going through all my old documents, scanning and then getting rid – very cathartic !
The only con on this, is the fact that when you empty the tray, it can leave quite a bit of paper on on the floor of the shredder and on the floor.

I have had number of lower cost shredders in the past, all of which eventually give up if worked hard.
Not this Bonsaii, we have shredded years of old finance docs & pay slips going back 20 years in the last week, it just minces them a dozen at a time.
Also has a decent sized bin for all the finely chopped paper so it will run happily for ages.
We also tried it on CDs and plastic cards, again no issues.
Definitely a great buy.

Great shredder. Bought to replace larger one which kept sticking and stopped for no reason. This is ideal size and I would recommend you oil it regularly to keep in tip top condition. Very happy with purchase

The item was well packaged, and impressive without being over packed or under packed, like some other brands.
Comparing it to a “Which Recommend” Brand I’d say this was far superior, in terms of;
a. Noise – much quieter than expected – Not over noisy like some other brands!
b. Very effective and efficient in its shredding – I shredded about 7 pages at a time and old debit / credit cards!
c. It’s got a fan – to cool it down – that kicks in after about 15mins of continuous use – Brilliant!
d. Only bin is removable and not the shredding mechanism – So clever!
Would I recommend this product? Without a doubt – it has my RonSeal of appreciation!
I have had no end of bad experiences with cheap shredders, so I splashed out and bought one of these and can honestly say it was worth every penny. You put the paper in the top and it shreds it, has not jammed once even when the paper is not quite straight and starts to fold over, my previous models used to jam at this point.
Its a bit sad to be excited over a shredder but the removal off the frustration of not being able to do a simple task like shredding is absolute bliss.
Much better than the one I am going to send back. I haven’t used it continuously for 30 minutes, but I would be confident with it doing the job. Excellent blades and you can instantly tell it is a top quality scredder. The entry for the paper is tight, but other then that I would recommend this.

This arrived today and already I’ve shredded two years of Bank Statements relating to business and have piles more to do plus correspondence etc
It brags that it does fourteen sheets of paper in one go but instructions say not to do this as it puts a strain on the motor, they advocate only seventy per cent of this number .It’s moderately fast, not noisy and very efficient. A good point is the storage compartment for shredded particles, just slide it out from the front and empty it into a bag etc. The cheap one I am getting rid of needs to have the entire top lifted off, with the blades etc. and is very cumbersome… plus it jams a lot. It’s early days yet for me with this but I anticipate with careful use-age this will give many years of service.
Best Shredder Ever – Fed up of buying cheap machines I got this and it does everything it claims to do. I wish I had got it soone
