Good strimme
i have small garden, over 2 years to cut it , so the cables finished before to do my job.(Thick plants)
After i used tie wraps ,job done.

I had to replace the old strimmer, the same model and had had it for years. I replaced with the same model hoping it was as good and it works just as well, cutting through tough undergrowth no trouble.
It’s not amazing, it doesn’t have lazer guided targeting, or leather seats. But it’s just works. I previously bought the cheapest bosch strimmer, but it was rubbish. I was constantly having to turn it upside down so I could pull more cord out. This one is nothing like that, you just strimm away. It autofeeds. I strimmed the whole garden in about 10% of the time it took my with the cheap single cord strimmer.
Received today and took it straight to task and I was not disappointed..it went through the grass so effortlessly and it was so easy to assemble and looks strong and feels sturdy….good piece of garden equipment..

My old strimmer gave up the ghost after many years of faithful service, my garden had become ridiculously overgrown and so I decided I needed a new strimmer, bought this one due to price, brand and reviews, I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of assembly, I had ordered some thicker strimmer line as other reviews suggest the included line wasn’t very good, but I’m still using the original line and it’s only broken when I strimmed around some big rocks, this is quite a heavy unit so if you are looking for something light and easy to tote I would suggest looking elsewhere, but if you want to strim like a motherloving pro then you won’t go far wrong with this.
Bosch strimme
Does what it says on the tin. The release catch that allows the cutting head to rotate for vertical strimming is very stiff so that sometimes you are tempted to throw the tool across the garden!
Quality
A quality product, arrived the next day in its own box a security tag on the side so you know its how it left the factory. Just the bottom guard to put on and its all ready not to noisy. So all in all and excellent purchase
Great strimme
Great strimmer, although quite heavy to hold, so my husband adapted a fishing bag strap to support it as he strimmed.
This has metal wire to cut the grass, so it really did the job cutting our back lawn short.
We haven’t any brambles do I don’t no how it would cope with those, but it seems really sturdy.

As expected from Bosch, a quality streamer. Easy to put together and Only used once to date I’d add!
Disappointingly though still unable to register it on Bosch website the instructions given to register doesn’t work.

Easy to assemble.
Dropped a star as the box had already been opened at some point. Internal cardboard torn and sellotaped, and box heavily torn one end, as if someone has got their hand in. Product seems unused however.. So I will keep it and see how it goes. But this is definitely not ‘new’.
Does as expected. Dont know about twine usage yet.

Good product, works as expected and easy to operate. For myself, I would buy again. One aspect to be aware of, while this item is not equipped with “levelling” wheels — so requiring the user to hold the full weight during operation — wheels can be purchased separately.

UPDATED REVIEW:
I was finally able to find a ‘how to’ video online that demonstrated how to remedy the faults of the machine. Consequently, it is only fair to update my review because when the machine is working, it is a great tool, and now I know how to rethread the wire/cable in minutes, it is not such a big deal. This strimmer works like any strimmer, in terms of the cable sometimes autofeeding, sometimes not autofeeding. Nevertheless it is a great tool, and does the job with ease.
I would have dropped a star becuase even though I now know how to deal with most problems, I still think the ‘instructions’ (if they can loosely be described as such) are absolutely hopeless! It is such a shame to find so many quality manufacturers reducing their product instructions to ‘generic’ forms of pointless images. Worse still, having no supporting videos describing how to do simple maintenance (that is required) of their products. So still a big disappointment in these terms. But the strimmer is a ‘Bosch-quality’ tool, so it gets all 5 stars.
If you are not already familiar with a Bosch strimmer tool when you purchase this tool, my advice would be to watch a video by eSpares, where Amy explains, and demonstrates how to deal with the wire/cable (very quickly, in only 3.50 minutes!). Go to Youtube and enter the search term: ‘What to Check if Your Grass Trimmer Line Doesn’t Feed Through or Breaks’
Bosch are great tools, after watching the demonstration, you’ll have no problems changing, or checking the cutting line.

I am generally a big fan of German products, and have happily bought Bosch tools in the past. However, I am shocked by the uselessness of this grass trimmer. Indeed, what other people wrote in their negative reviews is 100% true. Let’s list the points here:
1) No English instructions, but just a series of obscure drawings to interpret. I tried to find some written instructions on the Bosch website, but no.
2) The booklet in the package shows some kind of hook on the back to keep the cable in place, but there is no such thing.
3) You cannot use it for more than a few SECONDS before the plastic line/wire breaks. The wire did not last, not even a whole minute!
4) You want to fix the broken plastic wire? Good luck finding out how, based solely on the obscure drawings.
I will be writing to Bosch for some instructions at some point, but no hurry as summer over and reverted back to using appropriate hand tools.
I am still a fan of Bosch, my home is full of their tools…but this has to be the most frustrating tool I have ever purchased from Bosch…or any brand if it comes to that!
Message to any Bosch readers: this tool is not fit for purpose. If you must retail it as is, proper instructions on disassembly of the cord unit and reassembly should be included in the packaging with the unit.
Perfect for cutting weeds
I’m very happy with this item. It cleared all the weeds from my driveway, it never been so clean. It’s a bit heavy but does the job.

Although it is not “heavy” it surprisingly tiring in use. However, that said, it works well and gives a smooth cut without too much noise. I allowed myself to be chivvied into purchase of spare cartridge but the original seems to be tasting longer than expected, but I do have a spare when it does eventually run out!

Manoeuvrability and speed of rotation excellent.
Adequate scope and power for a medium lawn especially with its double cutting line . Slight difficulty in
changing from cutting surface of lawn to edging, maybe due to my advanced years of 95. Also found assembly of guard rather troublesome.

It is a lightweight strimmer that does as expected. No issues so far.

Looking at strimmers and thinking of how many times I’ll have to rest the cutting cable was not my highlight of the day. After looking at quite a few different brands and models, I eventually decided to go with the Bosch.
I liked the fact that I could easily chop and change between standard and heavy duty cutting cables.
It arrived on time and was easily put together. It’s got a fairly decent powerful motor, nice build quality which you expect from Bosch. It handled all the long grass in my garden with ease, with no stopping to reset the cutting cable. It’s reasonably lightweight, just a little heavier than my old Flymo (but it does have a more powerful motor). Having the ability to to set and change the forward handle, made for improving the ability to manoeuvre / control the strimmer.
The other bonus point was the ability to extend the warranty from 2 years to 3 years if you complete the warranty registration within a couple of weeks of getting it and it free of charge.

Bosch, surnominese with quality and longevity. This feels cheap. Yes, I know it is relatively cheap, but there’s certain expectation from this brand.
It has completed the task but it is a little unwealdy. Perhaps the negativity is due to the quality issues.

Powerful strimmer.
At time of purchase item was on offer so a good deal. Easy assembly, strimmer has plastic coated wire for cutt so makes short work of cutting thick grass.

After “no mow May” the grass was very high. The trimmer whipped through the grass with ease. The only downside is the length of the power cord which is a bit short.

DOES A GOOD JOB
Pleased handle was adjustable as I am only 5.2, can now cope, does a very good cut right up to solid objects, bit noisy but I think all makes are, living in a quiet area I have to choose my usage time.

Great little product!…. It easily cut my overgrown and wet grass. My only gripe us that it feels a little heavy After a while but it does have a powerful engine so I can overlook this. I would recommend this product.

I spent ages searching the net for a strimmer to replace my exceptional 40 yr’ old Bosch corded electric model
( which eventually died ), and was amazed to see just how many makes and models are available. I am guided by two key things; – price / Value for money, and Customer Reviews. Some of the reviews were utterly condemning, right across the whole range of Strimmers, but one in particular stood proud as a very good buy; – The BOSCH ART 30. I bought one from B & Q today, and it lived up to my very best expectations.
WHAT A MACHINE !! I will fully endorse all the 5* reviews I read; – this tool is excellent. Easy to Assemble, light, powerful, very easy to use, and comes with an automatic line feed that really does beat the rest. One of the best garden D.I.Y. products I have ever purchased. RAY. – Canterbury.

I like this product because it works well, though a little heavier than my previous trimmer, is easy to manoeuvre.
And most importantly, it does the job for which it was intended.

Maintaining the first with this trimmer is relatively simple although you have to fasten the two ‘bolts’ very tight to prevent the stem from twisting out of position. The second area is the reason for purchasing this tool as the grass is tall and thick. This trimmer handled this area with relative ease.
Not too keen on the shoulder strap finding it difficult to arrange length, etc. so that the machine balances when operating. I have an old full harness that makes this much easier. Managing the stem length and strap are important to ensure that the cutting portion is horizontal otherwise the guard hits the ground first preventing a clean cut.
Operating the trimmer is relatively easy and comfortable. Fitting more cable into the spool is easy.
All-in-all a good buy
