This was fitted by a plumber, but he recommended Bristan, as once the set is fitted, you only ever need to change the top part which makes things easier and cheaper in future. The design is simple, easy to clean and I am really happy with the ‘performance’ if you can say that about a tap!!!

Very pleased with this tap from bristan. The most important feature over ten year old bristan with this 1/ water flow control is almost at your finger tips very smooth operation.
2/ I am especially impressed by the amount of water usage that has been reduced.
With water being saved for me is ‘value ‘all around

Good value for money. Easy to control with a nice narrow flow. Easy install is a bit of a gimmick as it’s just fiddly to install in my opinion. It is good and sturdy once installed.

When our mixer tap started leaking I looked at a lot of potential replacements from various well known retail outlets, a lot of them turned out to be of dubious quality and despite some very British sounding names were actually made in China. This cost a bit more but it’s made in the uk and the quality is fantastic, it’s been installed for a few months now and I’m really pleased with it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFirstly I am a diy’er, not a plumber so I don’t write this as a professional!

Bought to replace an age old mixer tap in our kitchen. Took hours to get that off had to cut pipes in end. Thankfully this came with flexible hoses to replace said pipes and was much quicker to fit than the old tap was to remove!

Be aware, supplier instructions are not up to date. It stated it would be marked which was front, it wasn’t. Also came with a plastic piece that was not covered in the instructions and large black plastic washer. Am assuming this was backing plate and black washer fits perfectly in it. But instructions state this is not included. It would be good for the company to ensure instructions reflect parts in box please. I used what I assume is backing plate as installing on thin stainless steel sink.

I would not have been able to fit this without someone else as it needed someone to hold it and start to screw it in whilst I was under sink holding back plate etc in place. Large Allen key supplied which allows you to then tighten from the top.

You were able to connect one flexible hose via the top which means that you don’t have to spend quite as long on your back under the sink and that one was easy to tighten in place.

Flexible hoses also easy to then screw into the isolaters on pipes and a quick tighten and they were ready.

It comes supplied with the isolator valves, but I already had these in situ so didn’t replace. Good that it comes with them though.

Tap just pushes onto the top brass bit when everything else is done and fixed using two small screws with tiny Allen key to tighten (supplied.)

Given the tight space you have to work with under a sink, it is a clever design and I like the fact that if I wanted to change it for another easy fit model it is as simple as undoing the two little screws on tap, taking off and putting new one on without changing anything else.

Looks stylish and hot and cold easy to turn on and off & mix to get perfect temperature. Has quite a high water flow so be careful or you could end up covered in water!

I would buy this again if I needed to, but hopefully that is me now for the next few years.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersDecent product. It was my first time fitting a push fit styled tap. I’ve fitted push fit and compression before so had a bit of a clue how to do it but the fact that it pops onto a push fit mounting was new to me. Supplied as a full kit with isolation valves and flexi tails was very helpful. I gave it nearly two weeks before I left a review to make sure it didn’t leak or weep but it didn’t and did what I expected to do. It’s already badly watermarked and part of the furniture so I’m pretty happy. I’m not one for shiny or blingy things so the fact it’s now in place and serving as a good piece of plumbing makes me and my family happy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Did you tap that? Yes I did!!

I’m really pleased with the quality of this item, I like that now so long as I stay with the same brand I never have to go through the same pains of changing. It would be best if all tap companies adopted it as a standard fitting.

Removing the old one and fitting the base is easier than a traditional one but it’s still a job. Once that universal fitting is on though it was pretty easy putting the tap on itself.

The tap itself has a great finish it looks twice the price paid and the flow of water is nice and incrementally adjustable. It seems way stronger than the tap fitted in the house from new.

The easy fit etched logo is barely notice once fitted which was a concern before purchase. The main thing is though I’ll, hopefully, never have to go through the same pain of fitting a tap in our tight and awkward kitchen again.

    Stylish easy fitting tap

The easy install system didn’t help us as the hole in out worktop wasn’t large enough for the fitting to pass through from above. This only added a few minutes to the install. We have low pressure hot water from a header tank around 6m above the tap and this tap gives around 4 times the flow rate of our previous tap – absolutely brilliant.
The aerator on the spout doesn’t seem to add any air so expect some impressive splash-back if the water on full hits something that directs it back to you!

I never thought I’d be enthusiastic enough about a tap to write a review for it on Amazon! The tap shape is slightly unusual compared to many other models, but it means that it sends water around the whole sink so it keeps the sink clean. I don’t want to go back to the “vertical jet” that we had before. The water comes out quickly, but not in the fierce jet that splashed water everywhere that we had in our old tap. The lever that turn the water on are sensibly placed a little higher than normal so you can clean under them easily. A similar Grohe tap is quite a lot more expensive, but this Bristan tap has given us everything we want for less money. We’ve been using for 2 months and are still happy.

I bought this to replace one of the cheaper taps that you can get on Amazon as I’ve had to replace those after 2-3 years. I’m hoping this will last longer. I found that the installation was straight forward and it’s good to be able to tighten it from the top. All the fittings are good quality and it came together without any leaks having tightened with moderate pressure. The action of the taps is very smooth, flow is quiet and good and the swiivel is equally smooth. So overall really good so far. It comes with the isolators and the tools necessary to fit it.

I bought this to replace the kitchen sink tap which had become loose and the securing bolt had rusted solid. Getting the old tap out was a nightmare. Installing the new tap was a joy with most of the work being done from above. You still have to go underneath to connect the flexi pipes but that was quite easy. The only hard part was lining up the tap on the base to get the grub securing screws in. Make sure you do this before connecting the pipes up. Once installed it is possible to change the tap without changing the base as the base is common to all bristan taps. The construction of the tap is solid and it was a good value for money purchase.

Ignore all the bad reviews about the easy fit system, it’s great, just make sure you use a proper Allen key to tighten the grubs screws and do them up good an proper! There’s no way that taps coming off the base, I stood above it and pulled as hard as I could and it’s very sturdy. I also used a small amount of thread locker on the grub screws to be safe. I’m happy with my purchase and when I need a new one I can just slip this one off and pop another one on. Great system.

I had bought a generic cheap monobloc tap prior to fitting this Bristan tap. The cheap tap lasted just over a month, I wish I’d gone for this in the first place rather than try and save a few quid. Yes it’s not the cheapest you’ll find but the quality is far better. The fitting of the tap was pretty straightforward I’ve never fitted one before but thought I’d give it a go. The instructions are clear and the Bristan website also has videos to guide you. The finish and quality of the tap is great, the design is really modern – very neat. As too is the stream of water when you run the tap it’s really precise. Not much more you can say really, really happy with the purchase.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersThe old tap had a constant drip and I couldn’t find the internal ceramic washer to fit it so we decided to replace it. Bristan were recommended to us and so I visited their website to browse their tap collection. There’s all sorts to choose from so I can recommend their site if you’re looking for a new tap.

Our system is a low pressure one so all the taps I wanted weren’t suitable, as they were only for high pressure systems. I liked the look of this “Cashew” model and having checked the technical spec, which I also recommend you do to make sure the tap has a good flow rate, I then searched for the tap on Amazon. Another tip: don’t buy direct from Bristan as they’re very expensive. This tap was almost half the price it was on their site!!

I’m no plumber so I arranged for my plumber to fit, and I’m really glad I did! This tap has “Easy Fit” technology but there were times when I half expected the plumber to throw the towel in. There were problems removing the old tap then problems fitting the new tap together – some of the fixings are very tight and the plumber was concerned about tearing the washers on the new tap. Anyway, cut a long story short, the new tap was fitted and the Easy Fit technology means if we change taps again in future it should be much easier to fit a new one (providing it’s another Bristan I assume).

The tap looks great and works fantastically. It has a very good flow rate and the cold water comes out very fast but, unlike the old tap, it doesn’t splash everywhere as there’s a device in the end of this tap to make it a more controlled flow. The flow is so controlled that the hot water tap doesn’t even make lather when I add washing up liquid to the sink, which I like.

Anyway, I’m very happy with the tap and there’s no annoying drips anymore. Beware, some “swan neck” taps will always drip when turned off, it’s a design flaw of swan neck taps. But this tap does not drip at all. It’s great and feels very well made. I’m happy to recommend it!!

Really like the design of this tap. It swivels really easily and the angle of the spout means the water reaches all parts of the sink. Plus the fact I bought this at less than half price, when there were other sellers selling it for more than 100 made it a great buy.

A good well made tap easy to install. Took me an hour with taking off the cheap tap I had before. The wife complained the old tap had a very slow water flow. This new one is a lot better with a very good flow rate well worth the money.

A good product; price is a little more than the cheap ones from China etc, but seems to be well made for the extra money. I found the fitting very easy despite never having fitted a tap before. The only downside for me was the water tastes really bad after fitting it. I’m told (I hope!) the metallic taste will fade away as it builds up a limescale layer….

Quality tap from Bristan as would expect. Smooth action, looks good, feels good to use.
Chrome a good standard. Simple to fit.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersNeeded a new tap as last one leaked and grub screw wouldn’t undo. Needed a swivel one and this one was on an offer for a very good price compared to everywhere else and cheaper than a lot of others which all seem to come from China. DH fitted it and it would have been very easy if our current pipes had been a little bit longer. You can watch a video on how easy these taps are to fit. The base of the tap is quite heavy but the spout is more lightweight. The only problem I had was that my tap adapta (to make a spray) wouldn’t fit as the spout is very small 16mm and not the standard 22mm so had to source an adapter for that which wasn’t easy to find. There were very few on Amazon and they were very expensive so managed to source one on an auction site for less than 3. Now I’m happy with my tap.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice and easy

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis was bought to replace a Howden’s own brand mixer that had simply ground to a halt after just 5 years. It was simple to fit and all clicked together nicely. The added advantage of not having to fiddle about underneath whilst fiddling on top was a great relief.

Absolutely Essential that you tighten the two grub screws at the base of the mixer tap , preferably with your own Allen key rather than the tool provided .

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersUsed as a replacement for broken kitchen tap, planning a new kitchen in the next year or so & didn’t wan’t to spend too much but wanted a good quality brand.

The tap itself is sturdy, looks nice and works well now installed. The supplied instructions don’t entirely match the parts supplied so I’m guessing that the product has had some minor changes but the instructions haven’t been updated. This didn’t cause any issues as long as you pay attention to what you’re doing.

In terms of the easy fit, you fit the base to the sink, then the flexis to the base and finally the tap attaches to the base. It made it easier in terms of not having a tap attached to flexis so the tap didn’t fall over/get scratched, however if like most sinks you don’t have much space underneath, then it’s quite awkward to tighten the flexis. Much easier to just use a standard fitting then use a tap spanner to secure the tap to the sink.

Fantastic solid quality so pleased, if I am picky would like the spout to aerate to avoid splashing but I will just buy it to replace. Fitting was so clever and robust.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersVery east to install, supplied with isolator valves and flexible connector hose. The base fitting was simple to fit, and the tap goes on with a bit of pressure (and a little grease).

The tap once fitted does now turn a bit even though I was sure to tighten to what I thought was a good tension.

Water flow is very good, at least 3x that of the more expensive tap that it replaced, estimated at around 15litres per minute with our pressure.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWe are not hardened plumbers, had taps that leaked and wanted to painlessly replace them. Instructions took a little time to work out, but only because the concept was different , actual fitting (having stripped down the old ones) took about 30 minutes. Taps are very sturdy and are well supported underneath the sink so no adverse movement, also no leaks or drips!

This tap is a top quality item with an excellent quality finish and feel. Better still, I had purchased it to replace an old tap which I had put off due to it being in an extremely awkward position making installation very difficult. Due to an excellent design this unit was so easy to fit. Finally, the price and service was brilliant. Can absolutely recommend this item and supplier.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis is a great tap giving an excellent flow of water from a low pressure system and so easy to use with the single levers for hot and cold selection being very practical if your hands are slippery covered in soap.
With the new easy quick fit installation fittings changing the tap took minutes and you install in from the top of the sink rather than laying flat on your back under the sink and fiddling around trying to undo rusty bolts.
Very pleased with purchase and works well.
