We have the filter tap a number of years now and you can really tell the difference in the water compared to the non-filtered tap water.
Buying the filter and the tap saves a fortune on bottled water if you’re in an area with bad water and you avoid all the plastic as in Ireland you can send the spent cartridges free of charge for recycling. All in all, a winner.

Water tastes great with this filter very ease to fit. We live in an area with ‘hard’ water so there is a definite unpleasant tang to a cup of tea but with this cartridge it completely disappears and the cup of tea is great!

The Amazon cartridges are marginally cheaper than from Sainsburys and appear to be the genuine article.
We get through one of these cartridges every three months, which is something we didn’t know when our plumbing company fitted the tap unit.
Four of these heavyweight cartridges a year starts to become quite expensive, however, I digress and these cartridges are competitively priced and appear to work perfectly.
I will be purchasing more from the same source when the time comes.
Fitting is both easy and hard. The fitting under the sink is well designed, and so putting the bottle into it is easy. However, getting the blighter out without making a mess is almost impossible. Inevitably access is somewhat limited, which doesn’t help, but they get wedged in pretty tight so it’s hard to pull them out again.

seriously good. this is the second filter i buy. it really removes (or considerably reduces) limescale. even though we have very hard water in East Anglia.
Good reliable product, slightly fiddly to refit but otherwise good. Lasts longer than what manufacturers say – my kettle was an indicator as there was no limescale build-up for over 10 months.

This is the larger filter, its more a water polisher than a filter it mainly improves taste and removes some of the bad, but alot of your heavy metals are still in the water however removing all the impurties also removes all the good stuff

My one nag is the packing. Way too much; just seal well at all openings, stick on the label and put in the post WHEN the original packing is capable of handling.

Good product does what it is surprise to do but the refills are too expensive and do not last three months Brita could do with reducing the price as as a customer you have already paid a lot for the tap and I think if they reduced the price of the refill would encourage more people to purchase the tap

This filter fits the drinking water supply on our narrow boat. We use two or three a year depending on how much we use her. The result of using the filter is lovely water for dining and cooking from whatever waterside source we choose. It is a bit pricey but it works out cheaper and easier than bringing on board bottled water.
I love these, the tap is an excellent feature in the kitchen. No messing around.

Came quickly and fits well. I only recently hanged from the old long cycling er filter tap to this quart one and I don’t think the filters last as long, so sadly not an economical change but the previous tapo was broken.

I have just replaced the filter although I purchased a short time ago. The level of limescale is as much as before I replaced it. I have been using these for nearly 9 years and it is the first time that this has happened. Normally there is no evidence of lime scale when a new filter is installed. Very disappointed, particularly as they are quite expensive.
Apology! I had inadvertently put back the old filter. Everything is fine now once I put the new one in place. No scum; perfect.
water from this tastes good. replacing the cartridge when the led starts blinking is a bit misleading as it depends on the amount of time the filter has been in, rather than the amount of water its processed.

45 is too expensive for filters. Mine last 3 months. Could be longer but beeps annoyingly for days until it’s changed. Keep eye out for offers

The Brita water system is really good and purifies the water as we live in a hard water area. The rubbish that it extracts must be very
high because the weight of the cartridge is about four times of a new cartridge.
There’ not much one can say about a water filter. It seems to do the job in a part of the world (the Chew Valley) where water quality is not particularly good.
Easy to fit now I know what I’m doing and have the confidence to go for it. Works perfectly. Living in a hard water area my kettle and coffee maker needed descaling every two weeks. Four months on and onto my second filter I have not seen any limescale at all. No tainted fluoride/chemical flavours in the water either.
Working beautifully with the Brita taps tho quite difficult to remove when finished

Relatively straightforward to fit; just make sure you have a drip tray underneath when removing the old cartridge. The only drawbacks are the price and the short life – the previous one only lasted a few months.
Insultingly expensive, little option but to buy it, lasts three months. Does a good job. Could someone make a pattern alternative at a cheaper price? Good service from Amazon as usual.

Bought a new tap with attached Brita filter tap which needs this cartridge replacing about every 6months. Worked it out and it’s cheaper in the long run than buying bottled water all the time. Easy to replace, even I can do it!
Good price and efficient delivery makes ordering spares very straightforward. This size cartridge doesn’t need changing as frequently as some which makes it better value.
It is O.K.and does the job, pure water. It does seem to be a little overpriced to get rid of a few chemicals, etc.
Fitted a Brita MonoBloc tap with an integral filter line. My water is not particularly hard so it lasted 6 months before I renewed. I judge the effectiveness by how much scale builds up in the kettle as I fill from the filitered water line. If we use unfiltered water we notice scale build up within a couple of weeks but to date there has been very little scale so I guess we could have gone a little longer with the old cartridge. The tatse is certainly better on its own or with Squash, Tea, Coffee etc. This has proven to be better than the jugs as it is convenient and you do not run out waiting for a new jug of water. However based on Maxtra Cartridges it does work out at twice the price. On balance I feel it is worth it.

The undersink unit with tap is a great improvement on the jug cartridge system. Started using this for filling kettle as well as for drinking water, but it soon used the 500 litres. Quite an expensive way to drink water. Now just use for drinking…

What is there to say – I have a Brita fliter tap and it does not work without this item.
This was suggested by the kitchen fitter and it is great not having a filter jug to clutter up the work surface. We like to drink plenty of fresh filtered water and this really has to be the best way.
Easy to replace
Have a Brita tap as water in our house taste strongly of chlorine. Amazon appears to be the cheapest place to buy these filters. Only slight gripe is that replacement instructions on the box neglects to mention that you need to depress the ‘flush valve’ before removing old filter.
I have fitted this to a new Brita tap and it works very well. Not sure yet how long it will need before changing the filter as I am expecting the the small light in the tap to come on when it needs changing.
No recycling information was provided so send the old canniser back to Brita – would be good to include this information.

I do feel Brita could, at the price, find a better way of indicating when a cartridge change is needed. Nevertheless, if you value good-tasting water, and especially if you have hard water, I’d strongly recommend this system. The system itself and replacement cartridges in particular are over-priced, though, so one star deducted.
