Was sceptical about this as some of the reviews on here weren’t very good. Took a chance anyway and I was glad I did. This baby monitor is fab. Easy to navigate and the picture quality is absolutely fine. We’ll worth the money.

I’m really happy with this monitor, good picture and sound. Battery life could be a bit better. Really easy to use. Good talk through. Great to monitor temperature.

It’s been in use for nearly 12 month’s & is really top stuff clear sound & picture (b&w) good size babies parents really like this kit – it works the screen can be put anywhere say on the table while dinning in the office I’d say a must have for piece of mind – we bought it as a gift & was well received & appreciated.

I’ve been using this monitor for 18 months now, it’s great, the big screen is brilliant, one of the reasons I chose this one, others seemed so small, you can get a clear view of baby and change the angle/direction of the camera with the remote control buttons on the monitor so wherever baby rolls about to you can see them, I use the camera in a flexi camera holder which goes with it perfectly to set up the best view over the cot.
The night vision is very clear, you can change brightness and magnification very easily to get the best picture.
Has a good range, I can go out in the garden whilst baby naps and it still works fine and the battery lasts for ages when it’s charged.
Overall it’s very simple to set up and use, would say the lullaby’s aren’t great but that’s probably the only thing I don’t like about it.

This probably the best purchase I have made for my little one. Shes 6 months old and I feel relaxed putting her to bed and me relaxing downstairs. I can see that shes ok, move the camera remotely if she moves and zoom in on her (only 2 different zoom settings). The night vision is great and is sometimes easier to see her through this than actually looking at her. This has given me real piece of mind that I can still check on her from other rooms in the house, definitely worth the money spent on it.

I am delighted to have this baby monitor for when I am child minding my 1 year old grandson. Just wish I had had one of these 40 years ago when I had my son. Enables me to check on him without having to go into his room which would disturb him. I highly recommend this item.

Have just tried this for the first time, (picture shown for my baby’s daytime nap) very impressed connection is great/reliable and I can see him breathing. Love that I can remotely move the camera angle too. Wasn’t sure because of the less than 5 star reviews but I think this is a 5 star product especially after having a dud one before from another brand that we have had to throw away.

    Excelle

Right so the features are great, movable camera, tilts, two way voice, night vision you can edit the picture quality.

My only gripe is the battery life, we have to charge it/always have it plugged in every night as the battery doesnt last more than a few hours which is really annoying. Other than that,I am impressed by it.

We bought a cheaper one that ran on WiFi a year ago and although it advertised as allowing multiple phones to connect to it – it actually would only ever work for either just myself or just my husband. Which was incredibly frustrating if on the odd occasion one of us were out we’d have to swap it round before we left which was time consuming. The BT baby monitor is all you’ll need! The picture quality is excellent. The handheld monitor is the perfect size. The controls are very easy. Battery lasts a sufficient amount of time especially if you turn it off properly when not in use. I just wish we’d have bought this one sooner!

What I most liked was the feature of the video just turning on when the baby made noise. It keeps me relaxed not wanting to be all the time looking at it (first baby). Good quality noise even with the white noise machine on and image. Definitely recommend it.

Really great for monitoring baby – night vision and overall picture quality are excellent, much better thn others I have seen in action. Good screen size. Easy to use controls. The monitor battery life is pretty poor and the light on the camera is annoying, had to cover that up so it didn’t light the room but other than that no regrets buying!

This is my second BT 6000 monitor for my second child, the first one we have had for 2 years is still going strong so I expect this will be the same. The picture quality is better than our older one, so must be a new version. The battery easily lasts for an evening as the screen stays off most of the time. This is more than enough to monitor our baby, and as it doesn’t connect to the internet you know there are no risks of getting hacked. Overall a great bit of kit!

Very quick set up. Doesn’t use wi-fi so no faffing around with passwords and no danger of being remotely hacked if you’re worried about that sort of thing.
Wide field of vision, can zoom in. Camera is adjustable from screen unit. Can physically pan up and around a limited amount.

Bought a few cheaper monitors to try to replace an older version of this bt monitor. None of the cheap ones compared to the sound/pic quality of this one. You really do get what you pay for. The musical sounds are a bit tinny and not very soothing so I’ve never used those. You can have two cameras attached to the monitor receiver however you can only have one image on Screen at once, and also You can’t hear both cameras at the same time so a bit of a pointless feature.

I’m pleased with this. It’s easy to set up, though takes time as the first battery charge takes 12 hours. Very clear picture quality and I like that it’s possible to remotely control the camera to get a better angle if baby moves – the camera pans without making a noise so doesn’t wake up even a lightly sleeping child.
Night vision is good, as is the audio. The tunes you can play aren’t great (would be helpful if you could play white noise instead) but as a camera and two way audio monitor it’s spot on for us.

Not sure what those people bought because the camera on this is amazing! Can see my daughter perfectly, can see her breathing and everything! The fact that you can talk through it is amazing it really soothes her when shes grumbly!! Would really recommend to first time parents puts my mind at ease when I can physically see he

Great baby monitor with excellent image quality and night vision. Only issue is that like many similar devices for babies, the sound quality on musical lullabies is often of key and improved music quality would make a huge difference.

Great baby cam, easy and simple to use, no transmission issues, turn it on, it works. Not too many unnecessary features. Night vision is good, audio is good. Wake up feature to alert you to baby cries is useful to conserve battery. Recommend

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAs other reviews pointed i am not really happy that there is no white noise. The so called lullabies are not useful as i do not find them soothing at all.
I am happy that yiu can cotrol the camera from the parent panel. You have huge display and integrated thermometer. And if you buy spare camera you can have more than one angle. The only drawback is that you cannot actually buy a spare camera from BT or amazon, but you can always go on facebook marketplace and buy second hand monitor for fraction of the price and only use the camera. You do jot need to go for bt 6000, as the camera for bt 5000 or 4000 is the same.

  27. Anonymous says:

Love that this doesn’t use WiFi and so don’t need to worry about losing signal or visiting somewhere where WiFi isn’t great. We can balance it on the side of the cot but will need to put it on a shelf once baby is more mobile as there unfortunately is no attachment for the cot. Night vision and picture quality are great and I leave it plugged in at night so have no issues with battery life.

Bought this camera as my daughter has epilepsy and we needed to be able to see / hear her during the night. The camera is excellent. The screen is nice and big, night vision is excellent and it has very good sound detection too. The only thing I would point out is that you can’t control the camera unit from the parent unit.

  29. Anonymous says:

Much better than our previous cheaper one. I love the fact that you can remotely move the camera for when baby rolls out of view. The night vision isn’t crystal clear but you can certainly see enough.
The sound on the monitor is a bit quiet on the loudest setting.

The battery life lasted like it said. Very impressed with the product and the price we paid. We did lots of research into baby monitors and this one came out on top. The product arrived promptly and safely. Would recommend it.

Great night vision but better quality when not dark or curtains aren’t closed.

    Picture quality good.

    Sound perfect.

Battery we left off charge for 11 hours before it was going flat.

Downside of monitor – Zoom button didn’t do much different, could have been a few zooms in and out.

Screen turned on when baby was loud, but didn’t pick up small squeals. Could hear it but screen was still off.

Overall the best we could find.

We’ve had this for a couple of weeks now and so far I am thoroughly impressed with it.

The pan/tilt function from the monitor to move the camera is really useful for being able to adjust to where the baby has gone too without rushing into the room.

The screen is a good size and nice and clear to be able to see what’s going on, and we can even tell on night vision when he’s not got the soother in his mouth anymore.

We have a white noise machine that we use which can be heard over the monitor, but we turn down the volume so we can watch TV or whatever else and it’s still clear and loud enough to hear when he wakes up straight away, so I’m really glad we don’t have to fret about missing that by tuning out the white noise for ourselves.

I bought this monitor after the first one I bought broke (it was cheaper and not a well known brand) and it works great. There are always going to be things you would want to improve, such as the ability to dim the brightness a bit more at night and perhaps improve the picture quality a bit but comparing it to the other, its much better! I think you have to pay A LOT for a 5* camera but this one does the job perfectly in my opinion.

  42. Jon Martindale says:

     United Kingdom

I bought this unit due to the high rating, reputable brand (for telecoms at least), added functionality and a clean ‘tablet like’ screen.

The Kodak cherish was high on my list (I find the screen /unit nicer), but the much higher price tag and non-rotatable camera spoiled it.

We’re still expecting so haven’t used it beyond testing.

Initially speaking, don’t find the picture that great. I know it’s just a baby monitor but I have cheap IP cameras and picture is crisp so I don’t think there is an excuse.

As a baby monitor you get a fairly decent package for a reasonable price. You can go cheaper for a no-name chinese brand but who will you go to when something goes wrong? And I find most of them have really tacky &
    Small screen units.

  43. Anonymous says:

    Positive:
    – easy to use
    – great picture quality including night vision (sometimes I use it to check on him when its to dark to see in the room itself
    – not connected to wifi – so can’t be hacked

No real negatives – only one would be that on the menu the lullaby function comes up first – meaning it is a bit to easy to accidentally start playing lullabies at your baby and potentially wake them up!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWe looked around for the best monitor to suit us and so glad we decided on this one. Adjusts well, picture is a good size and clear even the black and white night vision is good. Both day and night vision is clear enough that we can see our babys stomach going up and down breathing on night vision. It has music that you can play to sooth baby and you can talk to baby too. I’d give it full stars if it came with a bracket stand and cable was longer but we have fixed it safely to sit on window sil and used a hidden extension lead.
Fab purchase glad I spent a bit more and got a decent one 🙂

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersThis was hard to decide whether to buy as there were quite a few negative reviews on the picture quality.

Given the price of this and what I actually need it for, I think this is a really good bit of kit.

The picture quality isn’t pin point sharp like if you were watching something on your phone screen, but this cost way less than phones do. I think the image is beamed over radio (it definitely isn’t my WiFi) so given that the quality is very good. I’ve seen complaints about the picture quality and particularly the night vision. Realistically you only need this to see and hear if the baby is crying. You don’t need to be able to count the hairs on its head or see their eye colour. This monitor works excellently for that.

The camera unit can also play nursary rhymes which you control from the main unit. The sound on those is quite good, as good as a Teddy you squeeze and it plays a tune.

The fact that the camera angle can be remotely moved is a nice touch, but once I set it up to point at the crib/cot I haven’t used that function since.

It has a feature where you can talk through the monitor. I haven’t tried this to “sooth” the baby, but it is good if mum is in bed and I’m somewhere in the house and we can talk using it as an intercom so I can check if I’m needed as backup for a particularly explosive nappy change…

  46. ClairCorin says:

Picture quality could be better, but I love the fact you can pan the camera from the parent unit not a very common feature for camera this price range. Our son is a wiggler. The larger screen is a must have also.

Very good, easy to set up baby monitor. It would be great if there was an app to go with it so that we could see the baby on the phone and not carry the screen around. The picture quality is fine for the purpose of seeing what the baby is up to. We had to buy an additional stand to attach the camera to the cot.

  49. Anonymous says:

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe picture on this monitor is excellent, and clear enough that you can see the baby’s chest moving in the night, which I find very reassuring. The night vision is very clear. My little girl doesn’t seem to like the lullabies, but I don’t mind that as when they’re playing in the baby’s room they come through very loudly on the parent unit which can be a bit annoying!

The only thing that is slightly negative is the battery life for the parent unit – it’s advertised as four hours use per twelve hour charge. We haven’t tested this yet to be honest, as we put the parent unit on charge between every use and overnight. It would be handy if you could charge the unit overnight and have a full battery all day, but this is a minor quibble and I would 100% recommend this monitor.

This monitor has worked great with me and my new born. We use it in a 4 bedroom house and almost always have a signal in every room. Picture quality is perfectly acceptable in day and night. Sound quality is decent and the battery life will last about 6 hours on a single charge.
Only bad point are the nursery rhyme tones… so, so bad 🙂

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersSo happy with this baby monitor. I did look into so many and went for this one in the end. The picture quality is amazing, handy it plays lullabies but I don’t use them as my baby prefers another toy that plays music. I also love how I can speak through the camera if my baby is stirring to reassure him without having to go into the room and disturb him. The monitor lights up with sound or movement from my baby so I can always check he is OK. Battery life is OK, but I quite often press buttons to have the screen light up just to make sure my little one is OK and feels that drains the battery a lot.

We had a couple before this one and the main issues were the signal dropping out and battery life. The BT 6000 monitor is by far the best one. Good picture and night vision, lullaby’s and the ability to move it remotely are all great, Its so easy to set up too, just turn it on and place the camera, done. Only issue is the battery.. if you can plug in next to your bed all night no problems.. if not, you get around 10 hours before it starts beeping at you to charge it.. but that’s the only gripe and its still longer than the other monitors we had.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersCan’t recommend this model enough. We did a lot of research into baby monitors before making this purchase. Didn’t want one that connects to your WiFi and uses apps on your phones (heard too many scare stories of security breaches). This model is simple and effective. We currently don’t use all the features like playing the lullabies or talking through the monitor, but see them being useful once baby is slightly older. The range on the monitor isn’t massive but works fine in our large house. Battery for the monitor will just about last a night with a baby waking throughout the night, but we keep it plugged in whilst we are in bed.

  54. If Curves Could Talk Stefanie says:

     United Kingdom

Overall we like this monitor, it doesn’t seem like there are any perfect monitors out there (at least for under 100) but this does the job well.

We bought this to repalce a Chinese branded baby monitor which stopped charging well as we thought BT would be more reliable.

It seems a more reliable product and has a ncie big screen. However it was more expensive and the camera quality isn’t as good as the chepaer Chinese one we had before. I don’t actually think the screen needs to be so big, it’s quite bright if you turn it on and night.

    – Nice function where you can have the screen off and it turns on when your child moves or makes a noise.
    – One annoying thing is that scrolling through the music option automatically plays them to your baby (rather than you having to press enter to play a particualr one) so you can press this accidently whilst they’re asleep and it means you have to scroll through multiple songs to turn it off.
    – We find the battery fine, we don’t have it on overnight (though might turn it on the check if we hear crying etc.) so it’s fine for other nap times in the day and evening time before we’re in bed. Or we just use it plugged in which is fine.

  55. Angela says:

I’ve been using this for about 9months now and have had no issues with it. Quality is good overall and it does the job. It would be even better if it had the time on the display, but that’s a very minor point. Overall had no issues and I would reccomend.

Night vision = fine, weirdly better than day?
Pic quality = in the day the pic seems to lag/pixilate.

Does what you want it to. Easy to set up and use. You can see & hear your baby absolutely fine. Only thing is it doesnt zoom out much so you do have to position it fairly far back in the room to get the whole cot/bed in view ( for me on top of the wardrobe with bluetack to get the right position!) But overall very good and reliable so far.

Tried a few baby monitors before we finally found this one. Night vision is so fantastic that we can see our daughter breathing. In a month of using, we’ve only had one incident of signal dropping out. Turning the receiver off and on again solved the issue. The lullabies are quite robotic sounding, but we haven’t had the need to use them so this wasn’t a sticking point for us. Would highly recommend.

  61. Anonymous says:

    X5 Lullaby
    Temperature monitor
Able to move the camera from parent unit

We’ve waited several months before reviewing and can say we’ve been really impressed so far. I was sceptical based on some of the reviews, but we’re really happy with the picture quality (including night vision), battery life and signal range. I spent hours & hours each day for about a month looking for a monitor, trawling through reviews & getting frustrated.
This is a decent monitor, the sound & picture are clear, it’s easy to use & it’s reasonably priced.
I wanted to get the lollipop but read some reviews about the hazards of WiFi monitors & did not need the extra worry.
This does the trick & I like the fact I can pan & zoom while sat downstairs.
The sound is good & lights up based on volume of the baby.
Can’t comment on the battery life, as it’s plugged in at all times & only turned on at night once the baby has been put to sleep

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIt’s like a minefield when buying a baby monitor but I looked at some of the other makes my friends had and they wasn’t that good. For that reason I decided to go with this BT one because of the features it had were what I was looking for in a monitor.

Just bare in mind every monitor has its flaws!
My little one is now 14months old and the monitor is still going strong.

Picture quality is great day and night, I never had any problems it’s always been so clear. I like the face that the monitor screen can either be on constant or you can have it set up to come on when your baby moves (again personal preference) but for me as on girl got older this was perfect as it wouldn’t keep me awake all night and I would just wake when the camera came on and the sound woke me.

Sound quality is perfect and loud (I think this all depends of specific hearing and preferences). But I feel this is loud enough at any volume and it’s very clear. Even when I talk into it for my husband or daughter the quality is cleat and loud.

The battery life is not so great but the charger lead is very long so can be plugged in anywhere.

You can also move the camera around so you can see round the cot if your little one is a mover like mine. I’m always using this setting and it’s great with a good rotation area as long as you get the camera set up right. Have mine on a bookcase. However you can fix it to the wall directly above the cot which would be absolutely perfect.

My son suffer from epilepsy and I use this to hear is he is having a seizure at night. Not just a baby monitor – the sound activation has many more uses.

Bought this for our 2nd baby. Its a great buy but the night vision could be a bit better. Also, when you play the tunes, you cant have it off in the bedroom and the lights on it is a bit bright. Still, I’m pleased with it and it does what it should.

I did a lot of research into the best camera (as you’re putting a lot of faith into this device!) and I’m really glad I chose this one. The camera and sound quality is great, the range is good too so I can be outside and still here my little one, and the parent unit monitor is very big.

Only downside is the charge on the parent unit – basically it’s fine to have downstairs with you once your little one is in bed, but by the time you actually go to bed yourself, it has to go on charge. We have to charge ours nightly.

But even with the battery issue, I’m glad I bought this!

Pleasantly surprised. Previous monitor died after 18 months. Only had this one for 4 months so time will tell. Good screen and reasonably sensitive to noise. Signal is intermittent when just outside the house in the garden and not more than 20m from camera. Sometimes works sometimes doesn’t but if you move it about you can normally pick up a signal. Better than most on the market.

Excellent product. We’ve have a few monitors that haven’t lived up to their standards and reviews. This one was recommended to me by several people and I also read many great reviews about it and here I am writing one myself.

It’s picture quality is excellent, clear picture, quality sound both to and from the camera and monitor. Great features, you can zoom in, move the camera around and set different options.

This is a great video monitor and really good for the price too. It’s simple to use and set up, the adjustment setting is great for if it accidentally gets knocked, you can adjust it without being in the room! Very quiet when it adjusts too. Nice big screen on the monitor. Excellent product.

Love this. After a few buys this was the one we stuck with.
Night quality isn’t the best! But overall it does what it needs to !
The monitor also needs to be charged regularly too. Defo don’t regret buying this, as after much research and tries this is still my fav!

Great camera, clear sound and display. Handy 2 way talking. Pre programmed music is awful and sounds like a cheap doorbell chime. Battery is absolutely awful for something that you will be using 24/7, last 3-4 hours only. Range is pretty good as it will reach outside into games room

Used a normal sound only monitor for our first child but when baby number two came the monitor had broken so time for a new one. Bought this for the large display and the good reviews so far we’re not disappointed

We have one of these units and it is positioned just above one of our babies cribs.

The device was very easy to setup and due to the device being specifically for monitoring it has an easy to use interface and intuitive controls.

The sound quality at max volume is really good and you can hear your babies breathing quite clearly as well as any background noise.

The picture quality isn’t fantastic, kind of like a mid 2008 picture phone level of quality that doesn’t deal with movement particularly well. As a result the night vision quality isn’t amazing either, but you can still tell if your baby is moving, has their eyes open etc. What I am eluding to here, is that due to it being 2019 you would expect a much better quality picture.

Despite the picture quality and my obvious gadget snobbery, it is a really good monitor and has been reassuring to us on a number of occasions. Highly recommended

After just having a sound and movement Angelcare monitor for our first baby 4 years ago, when it came to using it 3 years later, it had given up its ghost.
We decided to splash out on a video monitor and so glad that we did!
This monitor has a huge screen and the picture is so clear.
Battery life isn’t amazing but it does the job for the couple of hours between baby going to bed and us. It needs to be plugged in for overnight use.
I’ve had mine for just shy of a year and no issues.

I use this video monitor to keep a watch on my 92 year old mum who has dementia and a tendency to try to get up on her own which she can’ t do unaided. It does the job well and, as it is portable with 4 hours of battery life, I can get on with things in the kitchen and other rooms while seeing that she is safe. The picture is clear and night vision is especially useful.

Huge screen which I love! The night vision is a bit slow but that’s alright considering the wide picture angle, day time picture is solid though! Sound can be a bit screechy even from small sounds. Battery is great though and easy interface to use.

This is the best baby monitor I’ve used. Our daughter decided to hide our other one so purchased this one. The size of the screen is great, very big. The settings and features are great and the camera quality is great. Cannot reccomend this enough.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFor a wireless product, I have to say I’m really impressed. Whenever I turn the screen on, it connects to the camera first time, every time. It also works perfectly no matter where I am in the house. This is one of those products that just works. The core functionality has been really well thought through. It’s very user friendly and you don’t have to fiddle with settings if you don’t want to. Highly recommend it.

If I had to be picky, I would say that the camera/screen resolution is pretty low – but it doesn’t really affect its usefulness. Also, it would be good if it remembered your settings, eg zoom level. But, again, it’s not a big deal.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOk so I was very confused in which monitor to buy and after ready many reviews on different ones I went with this one. It has changed my life wish I had bought it earlier. Ok so night vision is good NOT great but it’s a baby monitor and I wouldn’t expect it to be any better so it’s ok with me, all the features on it are great. The only thing that is annoying but Iv learnt to live with it is it goes black to save battery after a few mins but if it detects baby it goes back on to the image. The only thing is if u suffer from anxiety then this will give you a few scares that is the only down fall regarding this product but every thing else is great. Screen size is perfect too.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have been using this monitor for a couple of months now. I have been very happy with it so far. The screen is much larger and clearer than my old Motorola one. I like that it shuts the picture off when baby is asleep and much easier for me to rest overnight without a bright screen on constantly overnight. The battery lasts very well. I do plug it in when I go to bed at night as it doesn’t quite last overnight without charge when I have been using it during the day. My son can sleep 12-13 hours straight do a long time to go uncharged. There are some mixed reviews on here but I am happy that I took the plunge. It is also easier for grandparents to use too.

Honestly I spent a lot of time looking into what monitor would suit us as parents, after narrowing it down to this monitor we could not be more happy with it, picture quality in both light and darkness is excellent, particular the night vision which is a lot better than some of the others I have used. with a 5 inch screen, I would say it just falls short of the stated 720p when in darkness. A lot of people are complaining about the sound not being loud but it has picked up every movement my child has made and the camera is 2-3 feet away currently. The main feature I like about this if the screen goes into save mode as soon as it hears anything it immediately turns the screen on. If you’re in the market for a new camera I cannot fault this one, excellent quality by BT.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersAfter looking at 100s of Baby Cameras that require WIFI we found this unit which connects directly on its own.

The screen picture quality I would say is 720P which us more than enough and allows you to see if baby has been sick or doing something else they shouldn’t be.

The sound is great too picks up any movement or sound in the room.

    Pros:
    – Video Quality both night and day
    – Sound quality is excellent with a meter to display sound also.
    – The ability to use without using Wifi

    Cons
    – Price is very expensive

It’s not the cheapest product on the market but after we did our research this was the one we wanted. Talk through it with great quality, it tells you the temp of the room baby is in, and even with the sound off, you can see if the baby is making noise.

The camera tilts, it’s easy to set up and is mobile. We love it and have taken it eveeywhere.

If I run upstairs to check on baby, my wife can talk to me through the camera.

Cannot fault this baby monitor. It has a great clear picture and the pad is easy to use to move the camera round. We bought this as a second monitor as we already have Nest in the house. We took it on holiday and it worked well, even through lots of villa walls! The display screen does go off if baby doesn’t move for a while though, but it is easy to get it back on – just press the ok button. Great little monitor that does the job.

Golden Review Award: 60 From Our UsersAbsolutely love this baby monitor. Only reason I’ve not given 5 stars is because all sounds going through he camera are extremely loud and there is no option to turn it down. (Bearing in mind the camera unit is in the room with the baby). So for example if you press the Talk button on the monitor to speak to your baby it’s like you’re shouting. And if you play music using the menu on the monitor it is very loud too. Not nice quiet gentle music, very loud music that gave my baby a fright. So I NEVER use talk or play music. If this could be volume controlled it would definitely be getting 5 stars. Everything is fab. Great picture, black & white picture during night vision & coloured picture during the day. Tells you the temperature of the room. I wouldn’t be without this monitor, give me peace of mind. I would not leave her in another room without being able to see and hear my baby. Would recommend.

Edited – 29th October. The camera has a constant light on whenever it is powered on. If my baby wakes up she is drawn to the light and stairs at the camera, especially during the night. If there was a way this could be turned off would be fantastic. I still think it’s worth 4 stars, like I said before, I wouldn’t be without this monitor now.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI actually returned the one I received from here as it had scratches on it, it actually looked like a used model.

With regards to the product it has decent video quality, sound is a little tinny but I wasn’t expecting an audiophile experience. Good sideways maneuverability, not much vertical so for a cot view I will likely mount it at an angle on the wall. Decent quality considering the price.

As a new parent you want reliable products, this is no different when buying a baby monitor. Took me days of reading through many reviews on many websites, with products with great reviews then one or two with poor reviews making me doubt that there was a monitor worth buying. My only requirements when looking for a video monitor was that I could see and hear my child was safe. Having used this item for a couple of weeks it does exactly that, no issue so far. It does what I want. Worth a purchase!

Golden Review Award: 26 From Our UsersAfter searching high and low for a decent baby monitor – I’m so glad to have found this!

Perfect monitor for putting baby in their own room or leaving them to nap while out in the garden.

Parent Unit – large screen, a simple menu allowing you to pan/zoom easily. Haven’t used the lullabies so can’t comment.

Auto switch on/off of screen – this is a great idea and great to not have the screen blaring at you all night. Screen switches on automatically when noise is detected. Sometimes there’s a slight delay in this when the noise baby makes is very low, which is a slight downside. Although it certainly would detect a cry just not always the odd sniffle.

Battery life – this hasn’t been an issue as we keep it plugged in overnight and taken downstairs for naps/the period before we go to bed. You get four hours of battery life when unplugged from mains.

Baby Unit – easy to use, must be kept plugged in. The cord is reasonably long, would be even better for it to be longer so you can place it out of reach.

Night view – is clear and easy to view baby, switches on/off automatically. Picture isn’t crystal clear yet you can easily see baby.

Sound quality – clear and easy to hear baby from within the recommended distance.

Instructions are clear and easy to use – handy little leaflet comes in the box. I would definitely recommend this monitor to even the most anxious parents. Good value for money – only thing that would improve this is if additional cameras were available.

There’s functionality for additional cameras on the parent display until, yet BT aren’t offering them for sale yet.

So hard to know what is what in baby monitors, lots of mixed reviews. Bought this, love it. Easy to use, good range of camera angles all controllable from the controller. The melodies are pretty crap but I don’t really use them. Took it on holidays always works first time. Great for the price

Golden Review Award: 247 From Our UsersI am 4 weeks in to using this baby monitor and so far i am thoroughly pleased. Please note i have used atleast 4-5 varous brands of baby monitors and consider myself an advanced user of these things!

First and foremost the best and unique thing about this monitor is that you can pan/rotate it using your parent unit. It is not like the other baby monitors which only zoom in. This physically turns like a moving cctv camera!
It picks up all the sounds you would expect and also has a talkback function. There are many lullabies too

There is a downside. The quality of the picture is not as fantastic as you would expect esp with such a large screen. It is definitely not anywhere near HD. However, we have gotten used to this.

The battery lasts a long time too and has a saver mode whereby the screen will switch off after a certain time e.g. 1 minute. Of course, the monitor remains active to pick up any sounds.

Overall i would definitely recommend this item. Despite the screen quality not being HD i am still happy with this and it has been the best monitor ive had. I will keep a check on this and review the feedback if need be

Edit: 16 months later and this monitor is still going strong. No battery issues, no problems with the screen. I am looking to purchase another one as a gif
