The nuts and bolts are well organised and very easy to see which ones are needed for each step. Diagrams a bit small but if you just look at what you’ve got it’s pretty simple to put together.
We can move 5 blocks at a time now with next to no effort over bumpy ground, we were struggling to do 3 in the wheelbarrow. Just get one

This is what I wanted. It is solid and the tipper function works well.

I found that the assembly is a 2-person job. The instructions could be clearer with larger pictures and more visually obvious connections. An on-line youtube video made by a punter was useful. I still ended up removing and re-screwing the screws a number of times to assemble this. The final line-up of holes through 3 different pieces was not large enough to use the supplied screw, so had to improvise from my tool box. Very tedious. Yet it works a treat now.

A great addition for the garden and as an alternative to a traditional wheel barrow.
As others have noted, a little tricky to assemble but nothing that’s too complicated. We built ours in about 30 mins.
Dissapointed that we paid 90 for ours a few weeks ago and they are now selling for 59.99..

Cart was delivered within 4 days of order in good condition. It took me about anb hour to assemble with a little help from my wife holding it while I tightened bolts. The instructions were adequate with a couple of deficiencies. “Lock” (Step 3) was not specifically identifed in exploded diagram of all parts. Nots and bolts were separately wrapped for each stage of construction. Step 6, although illustrated, had the instructions for Setp 5 repeated but did not cause problems. Note that plastic hopper is also called tray to confuse you. Do not tighten nuts in Step 3 until you have inserted bolts in Step 4, as you need wriggle room to insert bolts through frame. I also add boad washers to inside of plastic hopper for all the bolts to increase strength of plastic under heavy load, although this may not have been necessary.
I have not yet used it for heavy lad such as sack of compost but the cart seemed extremely manoeverable, although only when pulled. It is much more difficult to push.

Love this trolley! Did have to get my step dad to assemble it for us as we couldn’t have done it ourselves!
We use this trolley at our ponies yard, it’s great for carrying lots of things to save us having to carry them!

It does what it says on the tin – is easy to assemble and use. Much better than a wheelbarrow as we have a very long garden that would have been difficult to wheel across.

Has saved me several back injuries I’m sure… highly recommended.
Assembly is a bit fiddly… but easy enough for a general DIYer.
Tyres are tough and durable but I ended up replacing all with solid rubber ones after several failed attempts patch a puncture (glue just would not adhere).
In addition the the above tyre problem – I reinforced the plastic ‘bucket’ with a strap made from builders metal strapping around.

    Pros:
    – VERY easy to maneouvre around
    – Tipper works as expected
    – Big load
    – Chunky tires seem robust

    Cons:
    – I’m only 5’11 and i found the handle to low so my back ended up aching from bending sligthly
    – The plastic bin has already bent a bit and is showing white strain marks from moving just soil and sand…so i think you will break this without heavy
    – Screws/bolts will rust if left outside

Overall i’m happy with it. The negatves i’ve mentioned seem to apply to all wheelbarrows. We looked at a popular diy shops offerings in person and those that where “on display” all suffered from rust and mis-shaped bins so we opted for this for the positive reviews and easy of moving it around.

Bought this to poo pick my horses field. The fear of a wheelbarrow tipping over while I’m transporting it around the paddock fills me with dread. This was amazing as you don’t have to lift which is so hard on the shoulders ,neck and weight on your hips with a heavy load.I think its a good product, certainly for what i wanted it for.

Much easier to use than a wheelbarrow and takes a surprising amount of weight. I’ve been able to adapt it to tow behind my lawn tractor which is helpful for transporting full loads of gravel which it copes with perfectly well. Love the ability to tip up the body for unloading. Four stars only because the assembly instructions could be better also although quite sturdy I think the frame will be prone to rust quickly which will shorten the lifespan. I pay the same for my wheelbarrows which last about 5 years, if this can make 3 or 4 years it will have been worth it.

Only thing I dislike about this product is how annoying it is to put together why not just use nuts and bolts rather then screws ? Getting past that a great trolley for a muddy festival it survived the mud bath and came home. So impressed thinking of getting another one.

Excellent product well made, all pre drilled holes aligned perfectly. Taking my time it took 1 hour 15 minutes to assemble and was straight forward. All the nuts and bolts came in a blister pack and each separate step has an individual collection of fasteners which made things easy. The only thing to note is that if you tighten all the bolts in step 2 you will have to remove the ones through the hopper when you attach the rear bracket in step 4. This was slightly irritating but not the end of the world. I am very pleased with this trolley.

This cart was fairly easy to put together and is very good for a medium sized garden, the tipping function is handy also as I had some sand to move down the garden. Don’t load the Cart to the top as I did as it was very heavy to lift up to tip out, lesson learnt. Would recommend good addition to our garden tools.

Took a little while to assemble but a great product which has helped us hugely in the garden

Only downside is whilst it can carry a very heavy load when it comes to tipping the load out it’s heavy to lift to the tip position.
    Solution….load up smaller loads

Turns on a very small circle so ideal for narrow paths etc

When you open the box there are a lot of small metal beads, with no instructions or information as to what they are there for. The instructions were ambiguous and misleading especially at the final steps. The screws were all sealed on a card with the steps clearly labelled, however, the wheel spacers could be bigger and you will need more washers for the handle. We had to hammer some of the metal parts that had not been welded correctly, to make them fit. Do not tighten all of the bolts until you have put the main parts together to make sure they fit correctly. It needed two of us to assemble the cart and we needed to use more heavy duty tools than the instructions suggested. It does work now that it is finished and we are pleased with the finish of the cart.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis truck is amazing. It is so useful , easy to pull along, very sturdy and will hold so much. We have had it for several weeks now. We have a large garden and it is so much easier than a wheelbarrow. I am storing it in our shed and I store it tipped up as it uses far less space. It easy to tip soil, put under the hedge to cut direct into, I don’t know how I managed before. My husband loves it too. I am using an Ikea tray that is designed to stand our boots and shoes on inside the hall. This gives me a larger level area. Our garden is not one level, it will pull up one step but not two. It seems sturdy, is carrying everything from leaves to logs, sunbeds, plants. I cannot fault it. It was a little fiddly to build but if you read the instructions carefully and also look at the picture on the box it is simple. We are both retired and would buy another if we had the storage space. Super for towing little ones around the garden, so much fun. Easy to clean too.

Excellent garden cart, does most jobs except those needing a flat bed. I suggest drilling a hole in each corner to allow any rain water to drain out (or remember to always tip up the box before leaving outside). Previous experience shows a life of 3.5 to 4 years before the steering mechanism metal rusts, at this price you cannot expect galvanizing).
Easy to pull around the garden.

I have only just finished putting the wagon together so this will be the first of two reviews, I thought the experience of putting it together might be of interest to anyone considering purchasing this unit.

The instructions are not brilliant, but in the end I got it together although it was not easy and I must I was very confused at one point, the exploded diagram would have been much more useful if it was a larger size.

The other comment I wante to make was about quality, the design of the unit is good, clever even, but the components are cheep, too cheep, I recognise the unit was on a just over 60, but that should buy you decent nuts and bolts. The body is a mid weight plastic and I just don’t believe they could not have improved it for very little cost, and this is the issue with Draper, once a company you could count on for quality now they are too focused on margins and price, poor focus on value and quality. I won’t go so far as to recommend you choose a different product until I have used it but my expectations are pretty low at the moment.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI was going to buy a wheelbarrow but changed my mind when I saw the tippers. I chose the Draper Garden Tipper because of the brand name and the positive reviews.

I would agree with the reviewers who said that it is very tricky to put together. I found the pictures in the instruction booklet was so small I gave up trying to read and understand it. It took me over four hours to put together and I must admit I left it a few times to take a break. I also had to take apart two of the components which I had connected wrongly. I did attempt it on my own and perhaps that is why it took so long – might have been quicker and easier with another pair of hands….maybe.

I used it for the first time today transporting quite heavy plant pots from one corner of the garden to another. I also had to move some gravel. It is absolutely wonderful. The handle was easy to maneuver and the tipper worked a treat.
    hence 5 stars.

    Would definitely recommend.

***A note to the manufacturers … pictures of the different nuts and screws with sizes and larger print in the instruction booklet…would be helpful.

We have now used this cart extensively for 6 months in what is a large garden in our new home, requiring us to move a lot of soil, turf, rocks and planters. the 150kg weight limit has been reached and surpassed at times! It has proven to be an invaluable asset and made life genuinely easier. In use it gets ten out of ten with no negative points to raise. As with other reviews the build instructions are not great and we did add some extra steel washers on some of the main stress points on the inside cart, total cost about 1 so a simple and cost effective piece of re-inforcement. I will never buy anther wheel barrow and when this cart eventually is worn out by us, we will buy another!

This is perfect…I love my garden which is rather large and I always used a wheelbarrow to carry everything around save walking up and down the long garden….. I then had an accident and had a spinal nerve compression which effected my shoulder and arm and left unable to lift any kind of weight on my right side and long able to use a regualr wheelbarrow…. I personally couldn’t put it together but my partner did in less than 30 minutes. He also drilled holes in the bottom stop it filling of water as I cannot pull the lever out to tip it (but again thats due to my arm, my partner finds it easy). I leave it parked up outside; I’ve had it over a year now, no rust or weather damage. It was put away and under cover at the end of October.

I bought a similar one of these which did sterling work for 4 years but eventually the front wheel assembly began to disassemble and proved impossible to put back together again. Looking at the promotional photograph for the Draper cart it seemed I’d be getting the same design but (a) I’d resolved to not load it near the advertised weight limit and (b) I felt that the Draper name offered me some peace of mind. HOWEVER, when the cart arrived I was delighted to see that Draper have completely redesigned the under-carriage and it looks much more robust so I feel optimistic that it will last a lot longer than my old one.

The product arrived within the specified time undamaged due to good packing. Assembly of the cart was straightforward but, due to its size would have been easier and quicker with two people on the job. I used it as soon as I finished it and it worked fine. The chassis is very sturdy and looks like it will withstand use in the garden well. I am not sure that the plastic body would withstand having large stones or rocks thrown into it so would not recommend it for this sort of usage. The ground was very wet when I used it, such that if I’d have used my old, solid-tyred wheelbarrow there would have been a 1-inch groove across the lawn – with this cart, with 4 fat tyres to spread the load no lasting impression was made. Based on limited use I would highly recommend this product.

Bought as an alternative to lugging a wheelbarrow around the garden. Feels pretty sturdy. As per similar reviews, the instructions need to be carefully reviews prior to constructing. What does help however is that the nuts and bolts were supplied on a handy card marked for each stage of the build- so it was clear which bits the instructions were referring to. I am buying exrs washers for the front wheels as they do have some side to side movdment along the axle, but that’s just personal preference. A good product.

Felt it was a pig to put together with a adjustable wrench but when I finally gave in to my stubbornness and got my socket set out- my goodness what a dream to put together!! So definitely worth using the socket set from the beginning to avoid tears and tantrums!!

Brilliant to use and great value for the money, can get four pony feed buckets and hay nets in easily.
packaged really well and the bolts are vacuum packed in sections with which step of the instructions they relate to clearly marked which helped me so much putting it together.

This is a great advance on a wheelbarrow. I carted two tons of soil and one of turf from my front drive to rear of house really easily one day (and night). It is strong but light, and very, very manoeuvrable. It’s easy to push as well as pull. When the trailer tips up the wheel base just kinda smartly concertinas to keep all 4 wheels on the ground and balanced. All this good design thinking makes such a difference when you’re working with it for 12hrs or so. I would’ve been knackered wrestling with a wheelbarrow for that amount of solids to move and it would’ve taken me a lot longer.

It’s straightforward to assemble although there were a few bolts that would’ve been much quicker if I’d had another pair of hands. Toward the end you need to balance the whole lot and sprachle with it a bit to get the nuts to take on the bolts.

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersI’m not sure that I ever really needed this but was seduced into buying it via an Amazon Deal-of-the-Day. So, it was an impulse buy.

When built it’s a fantastic item, but …. The problem lies in it being quite tricky and time consuming to put together. For something so basic it’s amazing quite how many tools (none of which are included) are needed to put it together. In addition to a variety of spanners and sockets, you will absolutely need a VERY large flat blade screwdriver and an equally large Phillips screwdriver (both of a size that are not ordinarily included in standard screw driver sets). Very cheekily, the instructions cheerfully show you pictures of the assorted Draper branded tools you will need, but probably haven’t got. It’s the most brazen and shameless example of cross-selling I’ve yet come across.

The instructions are only so so, and serve to remind you how much trouble Ikea go to in compiling theirs. For example, telling customers to attach the ‘rear bracket’ to the ‘rear fram’ is only helpful if the said items are labelled or easily identified (neither was the case). But at least the various bolts and screws were clearly labelled and cross linked to the instructions (I wish more companies would do that).

After two hours faffing around, I emerged as the proud owner of a shiny new Garden Tipper Cart. It’s quite something and beautifully engineered. The only problem is that having spent so much time building it, and admiring the finished product, one realises that it’s much too nice to fill with garden rubbish and general detritus. It now sits, gleaming and resplendent, in our garage where I suspect it will only ever be used for hauling happy grand children around our garden. But we need to get some grandchildren first.

absolutely brilliant.be aware though the assembly instructions leave a little to be desired …. not to be attempted by the technically inept.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis as been really good compared to a normal wheelbarrow it streers when pulling or pushing making it much easier when loaded with heavy load I have a horse and it’s been great to collect manure from field then I’m able to simply un clip the back and tip out the load I’ve piled this up and it still feels very sturdy
However if going down a hill it’s great once you get used of it (first time it took off with me )
But if you keep it behind you and hold the handle in a upright position it slows it down allowing you to steer it without pulling your back as you would a normal wheel barrow I’ve given this a 5 star because it as improved my daily tasks compared to my old tin barrow and took some strain off my back.
It does have to be assembled upon delivery and the nuts and bolts have to be really tight hence I got my hubby to do this so if your small like me you will need help with this but touch wood it as stayed sturdy and proved to be a must have asset around the farm and stable that I do recommend this item

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAn excellent garden cart once you have managed to make it! If I had three arms about a foot longer than they are construction would have been trivial! If possible have a second person to help you when assembling this. There was a further minor need to adjust some of the pre drilled holes in the plastic body to match the bolt holes in the metal but that was trivial.
Once assembled the steering mechanism is a vast improvement over many similar carts and the tipping mechanism works fautlessly with the automatic shortening of the wheelbase being a great help.
I was tempted to remove one star for the difficulty of assembling this on ones own, but I have seen worse and as it works so well afterwards was generous.

Golden Review Award: 68 From Our UsersMy sister and I had one of these each and built them in just over an hour each. I am not a fan of wheelbarrows as it is you who take the weight on your shoulders, they wobble and are difficult to balance.
No such problems with these carts, lovely steering mechanism and the way the wheels move when you tip it up to empty is a pleasure to see.
We both love them. We decided to add our own metal washers to the bolts going through the body of the cart as the plastic inside on the top of the base was denting as the bolt tightened in the locknut, so reinforcement is advisable in case the plastic base was tempted to let the bolt force its way through. Because of this I would like to see those particular bolts a bit longer.
Being plastic you will need to be careful not to throw bricks or breeze blocks into it, I feel sure the plastic would break and then need reinforcing with pieces of ply bolted to each side; it is only my gut feeling, but the top edge of the cart could be better reinforced.
All in all, we love them, they are well balanced and it says it will carry 200 kg, which as very elderly ladies we would find difficult to move any other way. So more years of independence ahead. The temptation to get in and have a ride is strong, try to resist.
Great for big sacks of compost, earth moving, logs etc. I could have bought cheaper ones but as this carries the Draper name I thought that there would be better customer service in the event of trouble, than the un-named ones.

a while to build – but then,,,, super sturdy truck – great for the older gardener – who needs a wheelbarrow. ALSO – good fun to drag the kids around the garden ( when clean!)

Bought as a present. My dad does loads of gardening but at his age a wheel barrow is not good for his back. This removes a lot of the problem for him.

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersI really like this truck. It was bought to replace a very rusty wheel barrow. I thought that the four wheel design would make this a little bit more stable than traditional barrows tend to be. And it is.
It is very sturdy, easy to manoeuvre and can carry a decent load. It also looks very cute, and even my granddaughter wants to help if she is allowed to pull it.

It arrives in kit-form, and requires few tools to build (screw driver & a couple of spanners or a socket or two). But the build is awkward and the instructions are woeful. Lets the whole thing down. But, now that it’s done, I hope you don’t mind, I hope you don’t mind, that I put down in words, how wonderful life is now you’re in the yard…

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis thing is brilliant for use around the garden. Like a wheel Barrow but more rugged and doesn’t tip over as easily.

Was a total pain to build however. You have been warned!
