NOT to be confused with an instant pot.
This is fine, but it’s not a pressure cooker like the instant pot so if you are looking for a similar product to the instant pot this isn’t it! It’s fairly easy to use and the slow cooker is good in that it will slow cook on high in 2 hours and on slow in 2. Steamer also works well. What I don’t like is the lack of replacement products available from Drew and Cole in case anything happens to the steamer basket or pot.

My daughter in law loves it!
She uses it almost every day…says her oven is virtually extinct. The only thing she says she does less than the time stated is her veg…as it over cooks it.

    Great gadge
Very easy to use – I question the timing for “slow cooker” should be much longer – but the DIY setting sorts that out As long as you are at home when you are cooking! – same criticism for fast cooker too high a temperature.
Not tried baking in it. – should be a lot for recipes available on the app – that part is poor.

    Good for soup.

    Good value for money.
Multi-functional and perfect for my needs. Bought this to replace my rice cooker and soup maker. Beautiful design and looks like a high-end model.

I was even able to cook duck breast and steak using the sous vide method by utilising the ‘DIY’ option to set the temperature and cooking time to the level I want. It came out perfect and retains the moist and juice in the meat. This is a godsend as I don’t have to buy a sous vide cooker!

Easy to use, load your ingredients, close the lid, set the time & Temperature and leave it to do the rest, easy to clean, well worth the money

    Cool looking cooker!
I have never had a slow cooker and the only reason I bought it was that I had started keto diet and want to follow all the recipients very precisely. I did not want just a common pan look alike cooker – I wanted something more cool! And this one has got it all.
Big enough for our family, perfect for my keto recipes, looks really cool, has got lots of cooking options, vey easy to clean however I got myself the liners so it takes me even less to worry about it. I highly recommended this one if you are looking for something cool and modern to add to your kitchen.

I love it because it does everything just as it should do and I have enjoyed using it, I made a beautiful Beef stew last week and it cooked perfectly….my only gripe is that I never received a recipe book

Good multipurpose replacement for a slow cooke
I bought this to replace my slow cooker. I was looking for a slow cooker that included the function for frying ingredients before slow cooking. I hadn’t originally planned to get a multi cooker but it seemed a good option and I am enjoying using it. The automatic rice cooker function works a treat and I use the saute function often before slow cooking a meal. However, I did have an issue early on with the inner container not connecting properly with the switch underneath the pan which starts the different programs. As I am overseas I couldn’t send it back for a replacement so my husband did a quick fix by fabricating a thin metal disk the size of bottle top to go over the button in the bottom of the cooker. This seems to have done the trick and the pan connects properly now and switches the cooker on! I have still given the cooker a high rating as I think its a very useful bit of equipment and I use it 3-4 times a week.

Cannot steam a full family meal
I was excited to receive my multi cooker and was hoping it would replace my slow cooker, electric steamer and soup pan, but sadly this is not the case. Although it would replace my slow cooker and soup pan, it would not replace my electric steamer, because you cannot steam 4 salmon fillets and veg for 3 in the cooker at the same time. It’s a shame really because I think that it’s a great unit overall, looks nice too. I am thinking of returning it, but unfortunately customer services are on a training day today.

I have been using this for the most part of this year and it seriously has to be one of my favorite purchases of the year! I have nothing negative to say about this product! Sleek, convenient, versatile, easy to clean… Even came with a recipe book which is useful, you know. just in case you’re stuck for ideas or unsure with what program to use.
This multi cooker is simply great!

    Really useful kitchen appliance
This is the second best appliance in my kitchen (1st place goes to the breadmaker). Brilliant for making stews/soups/casseroles – food never sticks & doesn’t need attention (so perfect when busy with everything else!) once it has been started off. Great for the planet – don’t need to have the oven on to make pot of food. Have used for yoghurt – excellent, and rice – works well – as well. Takes up little space for all that it does. 100% recommended.

Happy with the machine but unfortunately the wire get loose and obviously the cooking stops, which is annoying as if you don’t notice, you’re wasting time, money and food. For that price, I do expect a good quality connection. A shame

Absolutely love this machine. I brought as a alternative to a bread maker which are impossible to find at the moment.
During the weekend we have roasted a whole Chicken in it, made a share and tear cheesy garlic dough balls, cooked rice, made bread.
All came out perfectly cooked. So easy to use. Easy to clean. I am so glad everywhere was out of stock of bread machine and I ended up with this little gem instead.

Compact but very useful 1 pot item.
Very good for stews, soups, rice, curries and even bread dough proving.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersGreat kitchen helpe
Having owned a pressure cooker before, I was sceptical about this multicooker with our pressure. But I’m very happy with this item. The instructions are on point, the little book with cooking guidelines great. The rice made in the cooker is amazing. No more sticky rice. As a guide I use one cup of long grain rice with one and a half cups of water and it turns out perfect. Slowcooking functions great, adjustable temperature and time adjustment usable on multiple settings. So definitely a very helpful kitchen tool.

    Best kitchen gadget - ever!
Brilliant! Arrived yesterday and I immediately made a lentil soup. I then tried to bake bread later. My soup was great but the bread more like a cake (which gave me an idea for an actual cake later!). This is the best kitchen gadget I’ve ever bought! I’ll use it for rice and pasta mainly and use the slow cooker setting for borscht in the winter or Greek big bean stew!

Works a treat and easy to use but one issue (don't situate under a wall cupboard.
Bought as an alternative to the main oven. it has multiple capabilities and been using for almost a week trying different options. Gr8 product and so easy to use, instructions are straight forward and easy to follow. Definitely recommend.

Be very careful if you situate under a wall cupboard as it started to de-laminate our high gloss door on one unit. Luckily we noticed and think we can save it otherwise I will need to spend 100 for a new door to be made as they were custom. We now use on a work surface without anything above.

Absolutely amazing. So many uses, and so easy to use.
I really bought it for rice – I eat a lot and was getting bored of constantly boiling it. This machine was a little more than a rice cooker so seemed worth the extra and I have not been disappointed!
Everything I’ve done in it has been spot on. Even my wife likes it (which is a big plus…) and the keep warm function is brilliant, meaning there’s always warm food ready to eat.

I LOVE this!!!! Traded in my old slow cooker for this as it has a timer and ‘keep warm’ facility. My other half said I didn’t need it so I had to prove to him that I did…….and boy have I done that! So far I’ve slow cooked, high cooked, roasted a chicken and beef, made a cake, cooked rice, sauted, made stew and made a loaf of bread! Still to try the yogurt setting as well as pasta and poaching. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone, even at 100 I’d buy this! Can’t recommend it highly enough!

    It's really good.
Had it about a year now. It’s more than a slow cooker (although that’s its main use for me) you can fry meat in it to seal it before slow cooking, cooks rice without burning, there are comprehensive cooking options from the built in menu if you’re not good a cooking. Temperature and timer controls are precise so you can leave a stew or casserole to cook for hours without worrying it will boil dry and burn. Bowl is big enough for a family and non-stick to easy to clean. Cooked most things from beef skirt stew (requires about 3 – 4 hours) to fish soup with great success. Very pleased..

Makes soup, raises bread, has a DIY functio
The bread raising function is quite good [Actually not. See edit below]. My kitchen is chilly and I was not being able to properly raise my bread.
This is the main function for which I bought this product [it turns out it is really awesome, but for the other functions, edit below].

The soup making is decent, but you probably want to steer out of the default functions once you know better.

The DIY function is awesome for that reason, it does not assume you are a dummy and actually lets you cook as you want to.

5 stars, for not being too obnoxious to the user and actually providing a DIY function!

    [EDIT]
Maybe the bread raising function is good for other people, but I realised it is wayyy too warm for my purposes (40C is too far from the 20-30-ish range needed for sourdough).
Keeping the 5 stars, because the DIY function is actually great and I use this cooker A LOT, things I use it for:
    – Sous vide-ish cooking. Slow cooking of vacuum-bagged meat on a 60-80C range. Works very nicely, although not with the kind of precision some people demand for sous vide!
    – Any sort of slow cooking, actually. Fire up and forget. Great solution.
    – Has a rice maker functionality. Works great, although you might get better results assisting it a bit.
    – Vegetable soups, great for vegetable soups.

For this kind of thing it’s a great cheap little thing that can relieve you of some of the more patience-demanding cooking.

This is a good product, I have tried two or three dishes so far all turned out well, the bean and chilli dish was OK but following the recipe I found that the onions could do with frying for longer. The stews are very good. You may want to get a new proof reader, the bean and chilli recipe calls for a tin of red kidney beans but there is no mention of them in the method! also one of the recipes has on of the dishes requiring “30 hours” instead of 3 minutes.

I was a bit dubious about buying this, but I’m very pleased with it, easy to use, doesn’t use much electric, and it’s so quick, Nowi tend to use it more than my cooker. The only niggle is the little condensation tray in the back, it doesn’t really seal very well and you get a little water run down the back, but I’m not overly concerned.

Golden Review Award: 51 From Our UsersPleasantly surprised - not just another kitchen gadge
This compact, sleek CleverChef has become a much-used appliance in my kitchen, far exceeding my expectations. It takes up very little room on the worktop, particularly when you consider how much space you would need for all the stand-alone appliances that can be offered by the Cleverchef. At a time when my oven was out of action, it proved a Godsend. The instructions were easy to follow and the recipes I have made so far from the enclosed booklet have been a great success – the pasta cooked to perfection and far better than what I can achieve on the hob once you get the right pasta to water ratio. Rice is even easier as it works out the length of time based on the amount of rice/water used. Other successes have been poached fish, cottage pie and even managed an omelette!
By far the most frequently used function for me is the steaming programme. If boiling water is used, it takes very little time at all; in my experience, far less than conventional steamers (only around 20 minutes for small potatoes). What is more, you can cook in the main pan whilst steaming vegetables, fish etc over the top.
If you are planning to use it for baking, I found that it is best for moist cakes (carrot cake, fruit cake etc) as there is an element of steaming in the cooking process.
The CleverChef is ideal if you are in need of a temporary cooking facility (e.g. when you are having a new kitchen fitted like us!), for use in a caravan/small kitchen area or simply if you need to cook using various methods simultaneously.
    Top plus points:
    -Smart design and look
    -Easy to use
    -Impressive results
-Takes the hassle out of cooking pasta/rice – no boiling over or burning the pan
    -Easy to transport

    Drawbacks
-The steamer tray does stain easily (noticeably after steaming carrots)
-The programme buttons are very sensitive so take some getting used to
-The instructions could provide a little more basic guidance on using each of the programmes, rather than just providing a set of recipes.

Overall I consider the MicroChef to be great value for money and would certainly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHad it less than a month, used it basically daily.
So my husband wanted this, as he loves rice and wanted a rice cooker, when looking for a good one we stumbled across this and got it, as price difference wasn’t too much and would replace our slow cooker, and add other functions, so far he’s made chilli, bread, soup, rice, steamed veg, poached fish, and a good few other things, with the recipe booklet that comes with it, and the online recipe guide that is easily accessible, we’ve been able to use it without a hitch! It’s a bit difficult to clean at times, as there’s a few cramed bits, but it’s a small price to pay for such a great machine. The keep-warm function is VERY useful as well, as, let’s face it, not everyone is a master chef when it comes to timings, and things are often ready before other things, this means that we don’t end up with the food item cooked in it being a bit on the cool side if we were slightly off with timings! Love it, hope to get plenty more use out of it!

    14 in 1 Multicooke
Excited when this product arrived. First meal I cooked in it was a Spaghetti Bolognese from the recipe book provided, very happy with the results. The next time Lamb Shanks this was on the slow cooker menu, took just over 4 hours, but cooked to perfection. Well happy with this product.

I’ve hardly used my oven since getting it – ive used most of the features – and I haven’t screwed anything up so far – every meal has been stress free and tasty . ( bread amazing and so easy )
Wish I’d been on commission – I know 3 people who purchased one after seeing what mine does .
Just wish it had a better recipe book – could do with having some really simple basic recipes to start and more detail of things you can cook in i

    Best purchase eve
This is an awesome cooker. You can use it as a regular pan or you can use it as a pressure cooker. So far I have steamed vegetables and prepared stew and pasta and the results are excellent every time. Much better than a pressure cooker ( for me at least) as it is versatile and fries and bakes. I love it and highly recommend it to anyone who loves cooking and experimenting.

    Easy to use
So easy, used for stews and cooked a pork joint in it. Just put all ingredients in pot, pick from menu or use DIY and forget it. I must admit I did stir the stew a couple of times during cooking but not really necessary. I like that it switches to keep warm mode after cooking time ends. Pork joint was a piece of leg and I slow cooked it- it fell apart, so tender.

Use your own judgment with timing. Sometimes things don’t need as long as the pre set.
Haven’t used all the functions yet, but I have made bread, a lemon drizzle cake and done steak and chicken fillets, all were delicious. Also steam my veg too.

    PERFECT!!!
OMG I wish I’d bought one of these sooner. It is just perfect. Lovely hot meals waiting for me when I return home from work. I’ve so far used the saute, slow cook, roast and stew. I’ve not used my oven since treating myself to this baby. It cooks enough so I can have a few meals done and then freeze the cooked meals once they’ve cooled down. It is so simple to clean as it just goes in the dishwasher and then wipe over the rest. The potatoes I cooked in the steamer tray where melt in your mouth. Made a lovely Shepherds Pie. I have noticed I need to season things slightly more than I would usually but that’s fine as I marinate my meat overnight in the fridge then saute it before putting on slow cook for example. This is a wonderful kitchen gadget. I give it a thousand stars out of five!!!

Dont like the fact you cannot touch individual cooking choices, cover would’ve been better to come off and wash properly, and i found on taking the inner pot out the base of the chef was stained as though food had spilt and i cant get rid of it, so not impressed at all. I tend to use saute rice pasta fish and steam at the moment. Its a good and useful kitchen gadget to have, looks great on work top or cooker- I say cooker as i have not used my cooker or oven since buying all the latest gadgets, pressure king pro, air fryer etc- the children love using them to and dont know why these things were not invented years ago- they’re brilliant fast and healthy.

    Absolutely amazing
I am very limited in cooking in both space and time. This is wonderful since I can just make everything in it and just leave it there. I have to say tho… That I’m having a bit of trouble with adapting other recipes that are not listed in the cookbook (with time and degrees) but it will come eventually

very versatile, its so much more than a slow cooker. it comes with a small silicon spoon for stirring. if you do not use any metal, which would scratch the pot, its a doodle to clean. cannot go wrong, you can open the lid any time while cooking, to stir, and keep an eye on your cooking. cooks sausages, casseroles, stews, chillies. love it.

Golden Review Award: 59 From Our UsersI like i
Well first off let’s get one thing right it’s advertised as a multi all singing all dancing cooker that does everything.

It’s a pot that gets hot… basically that’s it with the ability to adjust the time and temperature, It can’t do anything else that you couldn’t do with an oven, hob and a descent croc pot.

However and it’s a big however for me and my family its brilliant and just what I needed. The problem that put me off buying was that I couldn’t decide if I would use it but now I have it I wouldn’t do without it.

To help you I’ll explain how I use it and you might be able to decide if it’s for you…

I do all the cooking in the house, I work shifts and have small child and sometimes after I put my child to bed I have one hour to make tea and spend time with my wife before going to work.

So with the Clever Chef I can prep tea before my child goes to bed and either set the delay timer or it’ll be cooking then go onto the keep warm. So as soon as I’m ready I just pop the lid and eat, meaning I have more time with my family instead of cooking. I can also cook something before work and it’ll be keeping warm so when my wife gets home and I’ve gone to work she has a good meal waiting for her.

All the meals I’ve cooked are better than when I’ve cooked them in the oven, I have had to change a recipe or 2. For example something I would cook in the oven in a roasting bag that doesn’t need water, needs some water in the CC on the same temp and time.

I hope that helps someone I really like it, easy to use, easy to clean and fitted into my lifestyle very well.

    Edit:
Used the bread raise function for pizza dough the other day…..worked perfectly

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersGreat appliance
I had watched the videos on TV showing the Clever Chef for a fair time now. Recently needing to replace my electric pressure cooker i was looking at other alternative cooking appliances. It was with apprehension that I placed my order for the Clever Chef.
So far I have made rice pudding, a beef stew & today made the Sunday roast beef. I must admit I wished that the cook book included instructions for plain roast meat. I decided to roast my beef & part way through to add vegetables in the top steaming tray. The vegetables did not steam as quickly as in the pressure cooker but next time I will add them sooner to steam. Over in I am well pleased with the Clever chef & am glad that I chose it. In time no doubt I gain experience with it.

This is advertised as a 5l capacity, however, the inside cooking pot states 3l Max capacity. This should be made clear. Having said that, I do like this product. It’s easy to use and has many different uses. I’m looking forward to trying out more recipes .

The CleverChef is amazing. It’s a beautiful looking kitchen appliance and is so well made. I seriously impressed. It’s so easy to use. The only critism is that the instructions and the recipie book that comes with it were of low quality and just stuffed inside and were actually a little bent up. It would have been nice to have a bigger and more decent quality free recipie book. That said the price is fantastic to….so I can’t complain to much. Overall I’m very happy!

We bought this multi-cooker to use on our motor home, but as it was the end of our touring season, we have used it at home, instead of turning on the oven, on a number of occasions. Our recent electricity bill showed a decrease in use over the same period last year, and we believe this is mainly due to the use of this cooker. It cooks meals at a much lower temperature than you would expect and in a shorter time than using the oven, it appears to work almost like a pressure cooker without the scary bit. We haven’t used all the functions but shepherds pie, stew & dumplings, and salmon have all cooked beautifully. The DIY function allows you to cook just about anything in it. I have no doubt that the remaining functions will all produce great results. So easy to use, almost wipes clean and as it is so portable we are looking forward to cooking some great meals when we are away.

    Worth buying
I like the fact that the Clever Chef can do so many things; the only down site for me is that the inner pot has to be hand washed and not suitable for the dishwasher.

Absolutely delighted with this item. So far it’s been used almost daily. Each of the programmes is ready to use and all food cooked in it had come out perfect. It is easy to clean and there is plenty of space to create a meal for 7 in the cooking bowl. Be it a chicken, cake, casserole, rice or stock, this multicooker is brilliant!

Golden Review Award: 249 From Our UsersVery impressed, happy with my purchase.
I received this yesterday on Christmas Eve and for my first use this morning I decided to risk throwing everything in it for Christmas dinner, cooking on a high heat slow cook setting. I had my 0.8kg turkey crown and stuffing in the bottom, arranged my veggies and chestnuts in the top basket and 3 hours later I had most of our a Christmas lunch cooked perfectly without dirtying a single pan! The turkey was moist and tasted lovely, the veggies were perfect and the stuffing even crisped up. Tommorrows dinner will be turkey curry left on low heat slow cook while we are out for the day, can’t wait to see the results. This was bought to replace my 10 year old slow cooker which fell apart last weekend and I’ve found this cooker so easy to use straight from the box and the fact that it has so many preset cooking programmes means my mealtimes will be quicker and eirh less washing up – yey!

Amazing, the best buy we have ever made. We are having a new kitchen put in and was without a kitchen for a couple of months. My husband saw this and thought give it a try. The food is amazing and he has a whole new menu (which is great) !!! He said, we don’t need this new kitchen, we just need 2 clever chefs. 5 of our friends/family have already ordered and using and everyone of them agrees. THANK YOU CLEVER CHEF. We have moved on from having Chilli every Monday. The only think I would ask, is there a cook book available, I know my husband would love that ??

Golden Review Award: 195 From Our UsersVery pleased I bought this
I bought this because I wanted to replace my old slow cooker and I’m so glad I did! I can do everything that I used to do in my slow cooker but I’ve found I can use it for most things which means I don’t have to turn my big oven on (I recently had a smart meter fitted so now I am watching the bills). I couldn’t quite believe you could bake a cake it in but turns out you can – my favourite chocolate cake recipe turned out just as well as it would have done in the oven. I haven’t used the rice cooking setting yet but think that would be good for when the family are here. I’m mostly using it for stews and slow cooking but I think I will even try making blackberry jam in it this week. If you’re looking for a slow cooker I would definitely recommend this!

I just use this item for making meals that’s simple for myself & Wife,as we are in our 80s I don’t use the cooker to its full extent,I’m afraid I’m not courages enough to experiment with the many other things that it’s capable of but I’m happy enough with my efforts.

Absolutely perfect for busy people who don’t have the time to cook after 14 hours away from home. I used too much liquid in the beginning for obvious reasons, but soon realised that you can trust the recipe book.if you have a small place then you only need a table fridge and a microwave and this little baby and you can have any meal you want.Willem

Golden Review Award: 367 From Our UsersVery modern, and it works!
I have been considering buying a slow cooker for quite a while, and never got round to it. Then, I came across this more modern idea of a multi-function cooker that can cook various things with pre-programmed settings (although with most of the programmes you can adjust the temperature and/or the time). I have had the CleverChef for around a month now.

The first thing I would say is that it looks smart and shiny – I got the black one – and the controls are all ‘touch’ controls (not buttons) that mean cleaning is easy. The removable cooking pot is non-stick and also easy to clean. The heating element is a very hi-tech looking thing – a pancake-shaped spiral of shiny metal which presumably heats very evenly across the bottom surface of the pot. The lid closes with a nice action and has a rubbery seal, with a vent in the top of the lid to let out any steam.

The first thing I tried was basmati rice. You simply put the water & rice in the pot and choose the rice setting from the menu and press start. I must admit that I was a bit skeptical about how good the rice would be – I like it fairly dry and fluffy. Anyway, after a while it did its thing, came up to temperature, some steam came out of the top and, when it was ready the machine went into ‘keep warm’ mode, The rice was perfect.

Next up, we made a sausage casserole. This had a couple of steps to the cooking – first off, using the ‘saute’ mode to brown the sausages and onions, and then the ‘stew’ mode to simmer it. Again, it was simple to use and the end result was delicious.

Finally, I decided to try something that you wouldn’t be able to do in a slow cooker – a cake! The cooker can act as a mini-oven (although not a high-temperature one). The recipe book that comes with the machine has recipes for a carrot cake and fruit cake, but I decided just to try a standard Victoria sponge (6oz each flour, butter & sugar, 3 eggs). I wasn’t sure how much time to give it, so I set it to 50 minutes, which turned out to be a bit long – the bottom was slightly overdone, but the cake was really good! The interesting thing is, because the lid keeps the moisture in, the cake stays moist while it cooks. I would even say that it was better than I usually make in my fan oven.

I haven’t got round to it yet, but I intend to try the recipe for pulled pork (possibly the most delicious food ever!).

Overall, I think this is a great addition to our kitchen: it works really well, the instruction manual was easy to follow, and it is very simple to use.
