Good equipment but cooking rice can be messy
Nice bit of equipment, well made and boxed well for price. My only problem is when cooking rice is that it can bubble out of the air vent spraying over the top of the machine. It can be a bit of a pain to clean compared to that of other rice cookers. Apart from that it looks good and great for price.

    a multi cooker extradinaire
I love this product, I have been desiring it for some time. So far, I have used the steam function, the rice function and the slow cook function and I am convinced my food tastes fresher. It is simple to use and easy to clean. Its bigger than your average slow cooker, but that is a good sacrifice to make. Highly recommend it.

    superb machine
This very useful cooker is an absolute dream to use, with its multiple programmes plus a DIY programme to use for foods which do not fit the other programmes. A very useful set of handles on the cooking pot makes it easy to remove from the main body when hot. All in all a very versatile machine.

    Perfect for slow cooking
Its perfect for when you want to make recipes that require a long time for cooking, the meat becomes so tender it falls apart.
Its pretty easy to use , and easy to clean.
    Just set and forget.
The downside is the pot is small , and i would pick a set of pans instead of it if i had a big family, but for 2 people its perfect.

Great buy that replaces several cooking appliances
We use this primarily for cooking different types of rice (which it does excellently) but it is great for making soups, steaming veg and sauteeing. Two years on it still works as well as day one. Washing requires removing all the parts but it cleans easily. Food can get trapped in the lid so it is important to wipe after every use

    Great!
The first thing I tried was a chicken curry. It was excellent. I only needed to tweak a couple of things from my usual recipe, but it’s not rocket science, and it worked first time. Very pleased with it.

Really nifty machine. Worth the money.
Super happy with this multi poker, does exactly what it says. My only issue is when cooking sticky rice the liquid seeped out from the back. Not sure if that’s my fault for putting too much water in but it worked fine with basmati rice. Lastly it would have been great if there was a more detailed recipe/cooking instructions for different foods. Otherwise really great product.

I haven’t used all the functions yet but the ones I used were amazing.
Stew is easy and simple and you don’t really need to worry if it will get burnt because it won’t!
    Bake was easy and fast!
Yogurt is my favorite, done 3 batches so far and everyone loved it. I increased the time to 10 hours to make it a bit thicker so I could add fruit puree to the pots without it getting too liquid.
Over all it was a great buy!

I used to have Redmond multicooker for over 5 years, was looking for a new one and many of my friends was recommending Drew&Cole, it is worth the money you pay, my Redmond cost the same, multicooker does everything I love to cook, rice is just perfectly cooked on it, on stew program I love to cook vegetables, any kind of soups, this is really something you need to have on your kitche

Simply fantastic and superb value for money !
So far !!! This multi cooker I’s phenomenal!! I live alone ( so cooking for one ) and so far I have cooked a 3.5lb chicken ( crispy skin and juicy insides ) lasted me a few days ( I have still some left ??) and my latest was rib roast steak ?? Not quite sure how to work the machine ( settings??) so I just cooked the 2 steak’s on the fast roast setting. I added a little water at the start and omg the steaks were absolutely perfect ( even although I probably cooked them on wrong setting !) cooked in under 50 mins ( wrong setting by the way) but omg they were so tender, soft and tasty ! Cooked to perfection ! Once I figure out all the settings, this will be an absolute bargain !! and will replace my oven. I’m not sure how to work the pre set’s yet but I cooked a roast chicken perfectly! And omg I cooked 2 rib roast steaks to absolute perfection ( again on the wrong setting ?) imagine how the steaks will taste once I get the cook setting correct ??? Mmmh I can’t wait ! P.s this review is from a butcher !! Best 70 gbp you’ll ever spend ! And it can take volume as well for example, it will cook a big enough portion for a family of four ?? 4 steaks, a 2.5 kg chick, a large curry or casserole for more than 4 and to top it off you can cook your rice in the same machine ?? Or you can roast/steam vegetables at the same time as your stew/mince or curry ! I would definitely recommend this multi cooker. Or a similar spec machine, it truly is value for money and it truly is a superb addition to any kitchen. Cheers

    A decent all-in-one cooker!
I have been looking for a; all-in-one cooker for a while now, and came across this one and thought it looked just the thing for what I wanted. I like the sleek look of it, it looks very stylish on the counter and it’s not huge so can be very easily put away. It’s very easy to use, everything is pre-programmed so you don’t need to worry about temperatures or timings as once you choose a setting it does everything for you. It’s really easy to clean too, which is a bonus!

Apart from steamer tray this is a good value, satisfying cooker.
Versatile, easy to use, worry-free so you can leave it to follow program and switch to keep warm. Easy clean. Smart looking. Lightweight so easy to handle. Steamer is best I’ve tried. Enjoying trying different programs. My one disappointment is there are no handles or lip to steamer tray so it’s a struggle to lift and remove when hot.

There is nothing I can say that I don’t like. It’s lovely and light unlike it’s predecessors, it even has a handle. It’s not large, it’s easy to store. It’s my favourite appliance, and of course my bread machine. It’s a lot lighter than the ninja and the king pro.

    Not bad
None of these multi cookers seem to live up to expectations for one reason or another, but this is the best I’ve tried. Unlike many, the thermostat is pretty accurate and reliable, others I have tried have been hopelessly inaccurate and erratic. If this one got hot enough to really sear stuff, I’d say I love it, as it is I can live with it.

What a neet little bit of kit this has been.

It’s more or less made the oven obsolete. Even tried a roast dinner in it (OK, this wasn’t a good as an oven, but it was still lovely)

Very handy thing that’s so useful it’s going to out lasts the novelty factor some gizmos have (like a toasties maker that gets pulled out the shed for a weeks worth of cheese toasties before it’s put back in storage)

    Impressive
    Clever chef…kitchen helper.

This is as good as and as versatile as it’s more expensive, highly advertised ninja peer.
I was looking for a simple rice cooker as I hate all the steam of boiling rice and packet stuff tastes like plastic to me when I stumbled across this machine which was on a par with some rice cookers ( and considerably cheaper than some others) but did so much more.
For considerably less than the aforementioned ninja it did all the things I wanted and more.

    The machine.
Looks wise this is smart and modern, it is around the size of an acti fry ( like an over sized crash helmet).
The lead is around a metre in length, so great for kitchen worktop use ( but if you really wanted to you could plug it in at the dining table to serve dinner directly from it ).

    Use.
It is easy to operate with a touch button control panel, the instructions clearly and simply guide you through how to use it, but it is really intuitive and soon committed to memory.
I only really need the instructions when I want to customise cooking something ( rare are there are a lot of preset cooking programs for pretty much everything you want to cook in here)

    Results.
My results so far have been good.
As a slow cooker this makes really soft and tender casseroles with no more input form me than a little chopping and button pressing.
For rice it uses the absorbency method, you simply measure out the rice and liquid and set it away.
As a steamer my veg was cooked but still had bite.

So far I am very pleased with my purchase.

Versatile and very easy to use
At 79 years of age and with a semi-invalid wife, this device has been of great assistance in my role as a part-time carer and supporter. So far have tried various casseroles and curries, whole chicken, salmon fillets and cottage pie among other dishes. The generous inner pot allows for batch cooking for the freezer. In addition to set timings for many dishes, the device also has a DIY function to enable experimentation if one wishes to do so.
My only grumble would be that the CleverChef is supplied without a good recipe book. Instead recipes are available online but I would prefer a book for browsing and quick reference. Overall an excellent device.

Absolutely amazing product! I had been looking at a few different versions of the one pot does all and ended up picking this one. I am so glad that I did, it’s fantastic. There are a few things to note if you are using the saute function do NOT close the lid. I love being able to saute some onion and then change from sauteing to then the soup function. I can go away and leave it and even if I arrive a few minutes after it has finished, it automatically goes on to keep warm. I was buying it mainly as a steamer and slow cooker but I got so excited when I saw it also had a bread function.

It’s incredibley easy to use. The only thing I struggle with the first use or so was cleaning the top part but thats because I was being silly and not clipping it back in properly.

    I would highly recommend this

    Good product!
With my partner, we have this smart cooker for a month or so and we totally love it (especially him who enjoys cooking). So far we had cooked rice, meat, salmon, noodles and even my birthday cake!! It is easy to use, easy to clean and can keep your food warm until you set the table and are ready to serve the food. We read other comments about people making rice and that the whole machine was dirty afterwards. Easy solution: you must rinse the rice before you cook it and problem solved! We knew this beforehand, so we haven’t had any problem with it when cooking rice. Another pro: We had a slow cooker but returned it because the house was full of smells after cooking. But with this smart cooker that doesn’t happen because the lid is much better.

It doesn’t cost a fortune but does a reasonably good job especially in the stewing, slow cooking department. It doesn’t over promise and delivers what’s outlined in the user guide. As many have commented the user guide could elaborate more. I tried it out, like it enough to get one for myself.

Really good multi cooker that was easy to use and very pretty. Sadly I returned it as I wanted one with a pressure cooker. The roast function was brilliant. All food functions worked well and they have an app with decent recipes. Very nice looking pot that can be used as a serving dish. Item was sometimes clumsy to clean as the lid/top does not come off. Not a big deal though. It does all it claims to do easily. Shame no pressure cooker.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersExceptional quality for the price
I bought this as I have a small flat and wanted a product that could act as a multi cooker. This product is perfect for cooking rice and always leaves it cooked well. It also has a good steamer, slow cook and stewing function. I find it really useful to make the filling for cottage pie or lasagne or a Bolognese sauce as it acts as a slow cooker in a shorter period of time so the flavours have enough time to really enhance.

In terms of cleaning it is not too hard however there are several parts that need to be washed. the removable pot makes this much easier though.

Unfortunately however I am finding myself missing my old fashion slow cooker as it has a maximum running time of four hours and then it switches to keep warm. This means that I cant set a meal in the morning and leave it cooking all day ready for when I get home from work which is very frustrating. Sometimes I find to get the real long time slow cooked flavour and texture I need to keep resetting the four hour cooking time, but this only works if i am actually home to do so.

Overall however, it is a fantastic find for the price and works well in a small flat. It is a very versatile product and perfect for someone on a limited budget in a small property.

Best thing ever! So good I’m getting another to cook even more multiple things at the same time. Also like that you can download the free app for recipes. It only came today and I’ve already cooked bread, tonight’s meal and I’m now doing chocolate brownies for pud. It really is fantastic and highly recommended. Especially if you are a busy mum. So much safer than having hot pans on the stove with children around. The lid keeps everything off view and safe inside and it dosent get scolding hot on the outside. Just warm to touch.

    Happy cooking
I recently purchased and used the saute and slow cook and want to say my slow cooker will no longer be used. I would recommend this and I suppose you could adapt recipes to suit.

    Really good appliance
Lots of really useful programs, I have used it quite a lot and really like it. Only 2 snags, 1 is the Sauts temperature needs to be higher to be really effective and 2 the keep warm facility cannot be disabled via programming, only by manual operation. That said it is a great piece of kit.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat item until it isn’t.
I bought this multi cooker in January 2020 although not used it much and all was well until yesterday. Put onions in on saut set but the cooker didn’t get hot enough to brown either them or the meat. After cooking on stew for one and a half hours it wasn’t cooked so gave it longer. I don’t want to give up on it yet so will try to cook something else.

    At 81 I'll give it a go.
Using as a slow cooker great, use as a steamer not really big enough for two people if you like a selection of vegetables. Not tried a roast yet but only because I’m not sure how to use the cooker, which comes to the only downside NO instructions for use. But overall I would recommend it to anyone it’s very good.ne

Easy to use, but not durable
It was great, but the touch screen has stopped working and so I am unable to use it as I would like to. Can select programme, but unable to adjust the timer. Disappointed as the last machine I had I kept for nearly ten years with no hassle. This one I have had less than one yea

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI would recommend the CeverChef to everyone that is not an accomplished chef
When I first received the CleverChef I had a problem useing it but that was more down to my incompetents than a fault in the cooker,
I am now very comfortable useing it and am very impressed with the quality of food produced.
My only moan is the lack of a cook book and the instructions to how to use it. But I soon found my way round those problems, and Utube has a lot of recipes and instruction in how to use the CleverChef.

I was sceptical but this thing is amazing.

Although baking bread in it seemed an odd method but it works. Turning it over to crust the top does the job.

I have been using it relentlessly as my sole cooking implement over the last five weeks as my kitchen is being renovated. I expected there to be limitations but I have so far found none. A bit of juggling about but nothing the steaming rack can’t keep warm while the next stage cooks.

I’ve made yogurt, rice, stew, curry, meatballs, tarteflette, spaghetti carbonara, bread, cakes, pastry tarts, quiche, fried breakfast, fish, various day to day meals and even garlic and cheese toast.

    Very versatile
Bought for my son who has a tiny kitchen and no oven – kept it a few days to try it out myself and thought it was excellent. Made a slow cooked stew, roasted a small piece of belly pork, cooked rice. Lightweight so can be moved and stored easily.
The design is based on a rice cooker with variable controls – I used the automatic programmes and also set my own times and temperatures. The good thing is that you can lift the lid at any time to check progress although I wouldn’t do that on the rice programme.
My son is very pleased with it and if either my rice cooker or slow cooker breaks, I will be buying this instead.

    Efficient and pleasing to use.
The cooker is quite good but I would have preferred a recipe book.

    Great bit of kit!
Nice looking smart bit of kit.

Found that everything I have cooked in it so far comes out great, keeps all the moisture in most of the foods. Especially like the rice function as it takes all the guesswork out of it and comes out perfect. You need to experiment a bit with the different functions to find out what’s going to work best for what you need but it’s hard to get anything wrong really as it’s fairly easy to use.

    Would recommend overall.

Turn on cooker and enjoy foods.
This cooker is a very good product! Anyone can buy with confidence. It can be used for different items to cook, for example pasta, stew, soup, roast/meat, fish, yoghurt…

    Easy to use ...
First time we used this to cook rice was a disaster as we put far too much water in and it all came out of the top. However, after some experimenting we’ve now worked out how much to put in and get great rice every time. Would recommend if you cook a lot of rice. Haven’t really experimented in use for other things yet but you can cook all sorts in it.

I don't know how I ever managed without this.
I bought this item to replace my large slow cooker when I managed to break the crock-pot. I honestly do not know how I ever managed without it and use it most days. I use it for proving bread, roasting meat, cooking rice etc etc. It is really versatile and very easy to clean. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
