Fantastic item, we where suffering from really bad mould in our flat and after getting the mould cleaned and buying this dehumidifier we have not had any signs of mould for the last month. Previous we where cleaning the mould weekly! Love the options off all the settings such as drying washing, auto just makes life much easier.

This unit has taken my 3 bed detached house from 80% to 51% humidity in 24 hours. I didn’t know I needed a humidifier until I did some research and after 18 hours I woke up to a more comfortable very fresh smelling house. It’s a great unit, trust me!

I love this! I live in a flat and it will dry a full load of washing in 5 or so hours.

The ‘problem room’ was the bedroom and this keeps the humidity between 40 and 50 percent easily.

Easy to use and empty, can be left running as it switches off when full, once humidity is in check can be left running on low with minimal emptying, approx every 18 hours.

Not silent, it does have fans pushing air and noise level is similar to a large floorstanding fan.

Got a desiccant dehumidifier due to it having to go into our basemant that can get very cold. It works perfectly been running it for 2 hours a day after a show on the eco setting and it has kept the humidity down to 60-70% compared to the 80-90% it was. Mold growth has all but stopped.

I have a slightly older version (DD122) that does not have the ability to run for 2/4/8 hours and then switch itself off, so I bought this based on my other by the same manufacturer, EcoAir. Its just as good at dehumidifying but obviously better now it can be timed so I can leave this running when not in the house. Would recommend these as the other is still going strong and it must be two-three years old, and this looks and feels as well built.

Not too noisy in my opinion and very reasonably priced. Great at drying washing and reducing condensation/humidity, especially after a shower in winter when the windows aren’t open.

I did a bit of research and suggest you do the same to see if this best suits your needs, though I would go for this over the DD122 if you plan on leaving it running.

Removes damp and moisture efficiently, even in a fairly large space.

I think it’s a bit quieter than my last ecoair machine, DD322 Classic, when it is on the 1st setting. This is what I use overnight and it is certainly more compact, which I like. It’s very powerful at extracting moisture so very happy with that also. Only downside is that it has a small water collection tank, so be prepared to empty it regularly, however it does have continuous draining facility which I don’t use because I have it on the landing. Very happy with the machine.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have a very old style cottage and the humidity is generally 75-80%. I only used it at night time for the first 12 nights. Now, the house is much warmer and the air is so very clear and fresh. The humidity is now down to around 45 to 55% in the house in general. I only use 2/3 times a week now as all the dampness and condensation has vanished. I am very impressed with the performance to say the least. Many thanks EcoAir!

The point is, I’m impressed with the performance, having thought it might struggle in a larger space. It also feels warmer too so I’ve had to turn the heating down. (Although I thought the higher the humidity the warmer it felt, that does not seem true in real life)

have been running this beast for several hours a day during the winter. Has worked well so far.
Controls a not the most intuitive and I wish the humidistat were more configurable.

I did encounter the smell that most other reviewers mention, but only occasionally. I believe you need to allow ventilation during runs to get fresh air in (like an AC) or you’re just recirculating stale air.

I have it 2 years. I had the it’s small brother too, but it failed after some months.
This one is effective, with low noise at low speed and annoying noise at high speed. Low speed is for maintaining, once the desired level has been reached, for drying clothes high speed is necessary.
Overall it is well made. The water tank should be a little bigger, not much but a little more is necessary.
Two minor flaws I noticed. Some units dispose a place for winding up the cable, but not this one.
The water tank should have a small hole in its corner to facilitate the water draining instead of opening its plastic cover every time. It is simple.
Back then it was the best choice. Now I compare it with a brand new Delonghi side by side, it has obviously started to show its age.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI’ve had 2 other dehumidifiers before; both of them were the refrigerant kind, they worked fine, up to a point. This dehumidifier is a desiccant type and it is so much better for the environment I live in.
Before using for the first time the humidity was around 80%. After using on the high setting it came down to 50% within a few hours, I then put it on the auto setting and it keeps a constant humidity level. I left it running constantly, turned off overnight, for a few days, now I only put in only when I get home in the evening and turn off at bed time and that is doing a great job for now. I have a temp/humidity reader in the house so just keep an eye on that to see if it needs to be on more.
Another advantage of a desiccant humidifier is that it warms up the air temp so the room/house feels far more comfortable and you need less heat, the refrigerant humidifier actually gives out cool air. Also, because it has the air ioniser the air feels noticeably fresher; it really makes a big difference to air quality. If you live in a country with high humidity levels (where I live it rains a lot) but with low air temps/cold house, then you really need a desiccant humidifier. The refrigerant kind is really only for people who live in high humidity/high air temp countries.
    Extremely happy with this product.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI don’t write that many reviews but felt that this little beast deserved one. I have a very large bedroom with an en suite and the humidity is generally 75-80%. While I’m generally a pretty healthy sort, I often get a bit of a cough in winter which tends to drag on for weeks on end so I decided (eventually) that I was going to get a dehumidifier. It was running several hours a day for the best part of 7-10 days and humidity is now generally 50-55% in the bedroom and I’ve not needed to turn it on now at all for a couple of weeks although initially I ran it for a couple of hours after showering. No more condensation on windows either. I do also now use a window vacc after showering too.

The point is, I’m impressed with the performance, having thought it might struggle in a larger space. It also feels warmer too so I’ve had to turn the heating down. (Although I thought the higher the humidity the warmer it felt, that does not seem true in real life).

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersArrived on Friday and since then has collected over 4 litres of water from my one bedroom flat and that’s with having it on for 2-4 hours over the weekend and on an 8 hour cycle overnight last night. I’m already starting to feel better as it makes the air quality so much better (My flat has a really bad mould problem). I have stopped having sneezing fits every morning and have not been starching at my eyes. It warms the room its placed in slightly which is nice with the weather ATM and its a joy to open the curtains in the morning and not have water dripping from the windows. No its not silent but the noise does not bother me probably because of being a born and breed Londoner. It sounds like an office air con unit on high to me. I even had it on in the living room whilst playing a game and it didn’t bother me. So I have no down sides to this product as yet and as long as it doesn’t get louder with age I will be a very happy customer. Yes it is expensive but it truly is an investment in better health and environment and I just wish I had purchased it sooner.

Really pleased with this product. Have used it for a few weeks now on our boat. It has taken the moisture out of the boat and even dried my washing whilst left on overnight on the lowest setting. I cannot fault this. The first few times it gives off a new smell which wears off. The first few nights the container was full of water it has now reduced to half so it is reducing moisture in the air it’s doing what we wanted.

Excellent de-humidifier. I bought it after doing some research as I found that desiccant de-humidifiers are the best for the climate in Ireland. I am not disappointed with my choice. I use it after I washed clothes and also once a week in the bedroom with wardrobe doors open. Good for improving air quality in the apartment and I have less mold built up since using it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHaving always used Ebac, and still do as they are reliable and economical in my experience, they aren’t great when the temp goes down so bought this to augment for laundry drying. Cost less to buy than the regular price of the Ebac 3850e and pulls more than double the moisture when chilly. Downside is that it uses between 2-4 times more electricity, depending on setting used.
I have no issue with noise, there is the whiff that most people mention and the design of the water tank could be better, think tupperware with ill-fitting lid with a handle. No idea about longevity but I’m happy with the DD128 so fa

I decided to buy this as an additional one because of its air purifier and ion function.
Straight out of the box I was impressed by the extra functions this unit offers.
The motorised louvre on the top is a nice extra and many extra settings this offers over the other unit are most welcome.
It dehumidifies very well and I like the auto function that does what’s necessary as required!
Laundry drying functions with boost and low power settings are great!
My older unit is still going strong with no problems so I think this brand is a reliable one.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersHaving tried a few other cheaper models previously, I decided to go for this “proper” dehumidifier. It’s brilliant. It’s currently getting around 2-4 litres a day out of the air in our flat. Seeing as it’s been in less than a week I gather it’ll probably settle down after a few more days. The air in the whole flat smells fresh now, not musty as before. The unit reduced overall humidity in our whole flat by 30% in two days, and keeps it there without bother. Laundry dries in a few hours now rather than days.
It can be set to push out warmer air in certain modes (laundry for instance), but even in general operation it’s taken away most of the need for heating in our spare room and hallway. It can be pretty quiet. It would be nice to make it easier to see the water container, as it’s hard to see how full it is, and a bit fiddly to empty. But otherwise can’t fault it.
I’m glad I spent the extra now, having sent back two smaller cheaper units that just didn’t do the job.
Highly recommended. But note, the box says “This Way Up”, courier delivered the first one of these upside down, and the unit didn’t work at all. Second unit has been perfect, but just be wary of this – not a negative for the product, but worth knowing about.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought this along with the Meaco 12L low energy compressor, and use both everyday.

    Pros:
    – good extraction rate, especially in laundry mode (feels more powerful than the Meaco)
    – various useful modes, timer function
    – filter / ioniser
    – light (much lighter than the Meaco) / easy to use carry handle
    – relatively slim

    Cons:
    – Gets hot and emits warm air (especially in laundry mode), and moreso than the Meaco
    – Feels slightly louder than the Meaco
    – No digital humidistat
    – Timer only in increments of 2/4/8
    – Cable could be longer but probably standard

    Overall:
    – Overall happy with the product and most of the pros / cons probably down to being dessicant vs compressor, although the main complaint is heat.

Would give 4.5 if possible, and 5 if less hot.

The price is about right for this sort of item.
It works really well in winter. We use it in our conservatory to dry our clothes but also use it to clean the air in the house.
Electricity usage did go up slightly but that was with everyday use – so I would think using a tumble drier would use slightly more, as you wouldn’t be able to dry as much clothes.
Sleek looking and has nice face on the top. Has many options which is great,
Has and automatic switch off, when the water component is full.

Once decorated and the vents put back it will be fine. There was a slight smell when first switched on but this went. Haven’t got it back to dry the washing yet.

works well would recommend, the smell other’s have commented on isn’t that bad and does improve. We use it mainly in out bedroom/ensuite and it works well. Can reduce humidity level prior to going to bed so rarely need to leave it on overnight but if do need to it’s quite quiet, you can hear it but have no problems sleeping with it on. Easy to control and also easy to empty tank.

Really silent and has a high rate of water collection. The only downside is that the water container has no spout and makes it hard to pour water inanother container should it be required.

Quiet, compact and after initial use does not smell at all.
I have been using this several times a week and cannot get over how much water it can pull out of the air. We used to have major condensation and black mould issues but this machine has sorted that out for us and the hubby has said this is the best investment we have made this year.

Highly recommend this machine as the pros outweigh the initial cost and it’s not to expensive to run either.

Its only been a couple weeks so no advice on reliability. However its amazing how much water the unit collects in the few hours its run each day. It has certainly reduced the condensation we would normally expect.

I bought this for our new house as we were starting to get a lot of condensation and was worried about mold. Every few days I put this on a four hour timer when I leave for work and all the condensation has vanished. It takes about four, four hour sessions for the tank to fill up. I’ve also used it once to dry clothes overnight, clothes were dry in the morning, however this setting is very loud!

It looks quite good for a dehumidifier and is not too large.

    Overall very pleased!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve had this dehumidifier for 3 weeks now and it has quickly become my favourite household item I’ve ever owned. It works very well and it’s extremely effective in absorbing moisture and humidity. I did a lot of research before buying and I’m very happy that I decided on this one. It’s also quiet, especially on economy mode, and the smell that some people have complained about went away after 2 days (it wasn’t even that bad to begin with). Overall, I really recommend this product, you will not be disappointed.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIts quite expensive but so far has been very good at drying out my basement flat. It dries clothes very well when put on the cloths drying mode and is quit enough to have in the bedroom.
I have noticed a few reviews mentioning the water container leaking or spilling when emptying I have’t found this at all, just make sure you put it on a flat surface and empty it frequently.
I could have probably managed with the smaller unit in the range but as this was out of stock at the time went for this one and haven’t regretted it at all.

First time it ran for a couple of hours, it collected 2l of water, and used in conjunction with a humidity meter, we are far more aware of high humidity to eliminate dampness.
Usually use on a 2hour setting, and run periodically. You can certainly tell the difference in the air when it has been on. Can also be set to run on 4hr/8hr timer too. Other options whether on eco mode, and other power settings.

Not used for drying clothes in its vicinity, but has as an option.

Easy to move around with the handle to life the whole unit – only criticism is that the water container a bit fiddly to empty to put lid off/on, and then re-insert back into the unit.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersVery pleased so far!

This collects 2-4 litres/day from our son’s bedroom (which has 3 outside walls). The walls which previously would run with condensation are now completely dry (although a mild winter so far). I’ve disinfected the walls and the mould (and musty smell) hasn’t returned. We used to use a small electric radiator in the room when central heating wasn’t on but don’t need to now as this obviously puts out some heat (300W on low setting).

Is not on all the time as (although supposed to be quieter than many – especially the compressor type) it would be too loud all night in a small room. Would be fine on a landing or elsewhere in the house.

Overall I’m very pleased with it and should have bought one years ago. Sometime I’ll get around to drilling hole through wall and connecting it up to the supplied hose to save the regular emptying. (Though the resulting water is of course ideal to use in steam irons etc.)

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI didn’t buy this item from Amazon but wanted to leave a review for it as I found the views here help influence my purchase.

We’ve just moved into a 3 bed semi 1930s house which was suffering some damp problems due to condensation. In particular the dining room wall has some damp staining and we’d often come home to a musty smell in certain rooms.

We also noticed woodlouse appearing in the porch after it had been raining.

Additionally, clothes and towels took days to dry!

I’ve had the EcoAir DD128 for about 4 weeks now. Mine came with a weather station that reads humidity and as soon as we got it out of the box we saw readings of around 75% RH.

I’ve run this unit 24/7 since purchase. On the first night I ran it in full laundry mode (max setting basically) and couldn’t believe the amount of water it was extracting (you can tell when its working hard as you get a bit of a funny smell). Over the coming days I moved it around room to room and experimented with different modes. It was generally filling up a little over a tanks worth every 24 hours (Id usually empty it each night and each morning).

Even from the first night the RH dropped and seemed to stabilise at around 50-55% RH. At this point the musty smells had all but vanished.

The only thing that bothered me was that every time I put it in Auto mode it would always default to the high setting and just remain on this regardless. For a while I thought either the auto mode was a bit of a gimmick that doesn’t really work or the unit is too small for the property. However after 3 weeks of running solid it finally cuts up and down as it should be and I’ve noticed the RH continuing to slowly climb down. We are now seeing an average of 47-51%. I’ve noticed that it goes into high mode less and less now which appears to be a sign that the EcoAir DD128 is doing its job properly!

I continue to leave it in our downstairs hallway running 24/7 (with all internal doors open as much as possible) but move it into our dinning room when drying clothes and use the laundry mode for 4-6 hours. Clothes are drying much faster now and even towels in the bathroom!

Really pleased with the results! I can’t comment on its electricity usage but I understand its runs at around 650w in laundry mode and around 40w at standby. Obviously with it running on high for so long I expect our initial electricity usage to be high but hope that now it seems to be under control we’ll see that stabilise.

In terms of noise, all you can hear is the fan and to be honest its no noisier than using a fan in the summer! On low you hardly notice it!

I normally use leave the ioniser mode on too and it must be doing something as I’ve noticed lots of dust sticking to the unit!

    Oh, and no more woodlouse!

Previously had an Ebac compressor dehumidifier for five years or so and it eventually packed up. I purchased this one based on other reviews and a bit of research on the differences between a desiccant type and a compressor. Couldn’t be happier with this model: quieter, cheaper to run, has more modes on it – such as if you have washing drying on your radiators, and most importantly it pulls out plenty of moisture from the air, more so than our old model. So far it has needed emptying once every day. Ignore other reviews about it being easy to spill water when emptying the water reservoir; we haven’t spilled a drop yet.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersLike most people that invest in a dehumidifier, I invested in one to lower the humidity in our place due to ongoing mould and condensation issues.
Having researched extensively, I settled on the EcoAir DD128 because of its energy saving and performance features.

Now after having the unit for 2 weeks I can pass on my thoughts to the readers. This unit has been unbelievable in our place, after running it on high in our room for 2 days we got the humidity down (from 80%) to 50% and emptied the unit around 3 / 4 times over the 2 days.

We also ran the unit in our kitchen to reduce the humidity at times from around 99% humidity to 35% humidity as we have very low ventilation in there. As we head into winter and being unable to dry our clothes outside, we tested the laundry drying function and it really does dry out the clothes very fast. The visibility of seeing how much moisture the unit pulls out of the air proves that it definitely doing its job.

We now leave the unit running at low overnight and wake up to condensation free windows and a much warmer 2 bedroom flat. Our central heating is used less as the unit blows out warm air. We have a 6 month old baby and leave the unit by the doorway, its quiet enough not to disturb her’s and our sleep.

All in all, this is a very good product and I highly recommend it. Its affordable, compact and performs outstandingly. The standard 2 year warranty also gives me confidence that I am buying a reliable product.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersA very powerful and effective dehumidifier. The added benefit is that it really warms the place up. After an hour or two, any room that it has been in feels warm dry and cozy instead of cold and damp. The only thing is, if the water container is full, you have to be careful not to spill a bit of water on the floor when you are taking out the container to empty it. This isn’t a problem once you know about it and come prepared with a bit of kitchen roll to mop up just in case. Overall, I would say that this dehumidifier is seriously – an excellent buy! I highly recommend it.

Yes, 8 years later and still running well. Had no issues at all. 8 years later same power, same quietness, same good job it does. Not using it every day, but it runs about 3-4 full days a week. Really impressed with it. Once again, Highly recommend!!!

Have it for nearly a year and really love it. Very quiet and at the same time powerful. Love the very low electricity consumption compared to my few previous dehumidifiers. I also like some very handy functions such as laundry drier, ability to set the timer (2, 4 or 8 hours). I also like the ability to set the flow direction. The side illumination is very handy as well as because this dehumidifier works quiet in my opinion, I keep it in my bedroom so in the night you don’t need to worry about where is the dehumidifier as you can always see the dim light on the side and be sure you will never kick it by mistake in the dark 🙂 I believe the design is really great and very user friendly. Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersThe EcoAir DD128 Desiccant Dehumidifier with Ioniser and Silver Filter has proved to be a very welcome product in our home. We wanted it to help our downstairs wet-room dry out more quickly. The nature of wet-rooms is that they are subject to water from the shower cascading and splashing all over the shower area and sometimes beyond – especially when we use it to clean things other than ourselves, like our dogs after a wet or muddy walk! The wet-room is on the side of the house that catches the sun in the morning but loses it as the day progresses. Therefore it doesn’t get the full assistance from the sun’s heat through the window following any usage later in the day. This Dehumidifier actually does a great job in not only helping the room to dry out more quickly, especially in winter, but also in making it feel warmer and smell sweeter as well. We also use it to help dry washing too which is very helpful because it is much less costly to run than a normal electric dryer during the winter months when we can’t get the washing dry outside. We have found it a really worthwhile item to have in our house, which is not actually damp as such, but being in the country, can be subject to the results of damp and rainy weather, damp rainwear being brought in from outside and other such country pursuits. Some reviewers have mentioned a smell associated with this product but, even though there is definitely a smell associated with its operation, we have found it to be quite mild and unobtrusive and not particularly unpleasant at all.

My old one broke down and I was gutted as they didn’t make the model anymore. I bought one and it was more than useless – returned to the store. So I researched thoroughly and read a lot of people’s reviews and advice. And finally decided that this was the one! It works a treat. I have a large landing which is where I put it when it’s on. Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersOur windows were consistently steamed up in a morning, probably because of steaming showers and drying washing over the banisters. We have used this virtually every day since buying it (about a month now) and the amount of water it extracts from the atmosphere is astonishing. Some reviews say that it smells, don’t be put off by this, it’s just newness and soon disappears, anyway it’s not an offensive smell. We mostly use in on the landing though it’s easy to move about and the water container doesn’t drip at all. We are very pleased with this purchase.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersBrought this dehumidifier because the bathroom was becoming very damp even with a wall extractor fan which didn’t seem to be making that much difference. Been using it for a few weeks now and it’s made a big difference to the humidity of the whole house. It’s small enough to move it around but if it’s positioned in a central place it seems adequate to cover the total area. In my house there is a plug sock outside the bathroom which is great as this was the worst plan. The only limitation is that I was thinking that there would be some sort of humidity setting control as the cut off value for the automatic setting is 55% which I tried once and woke up with sore eyes. I therefore brought a digital humidity sensor for few pounds and now only switch it using the 2 hour time either when having shower or when humidity raises to around 80%.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersAs Amazon don’t have them in stock I ordered my one direct from the makers ecoair.

It arrived next working day by UPS but alas it only runs for about two minutes before cutting out giving you the red LED explanation symbol.

I called their 0845 customer service number and described the problem and they told me I would have to fill in the on-line form on their website giving all details.

That is where I am, still awaiting them to make contact.

The unit BTW uses 1.3 watts in standby, I thought an EU directive needed this to be under 0.5w now?

In use before out cuts out 670 watts in high and 370 watts in low.

I will update my review when I get one that works….

    UPDATE#1:

A replacement unit should be with me next day and the old one collected (possible by another van)

Again, I will update when it arrives.

    UPDATE#2:

As promised, UPS picked up the old one and dropped off a new one.

New one is running, fan a little noisy for my like and at present it is using 373.4 watts which is in low mode (600+ in high mode).

I will update again when it has been in use a few days.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHave now had this unit for about 6 weeks. We use it in our self-catering accommodation (a covered smithy) which is unheated for most of the winter. the unit works well and extracts an amazing amount of water out of the air. the reading on our humidity detector was 78% before starting and after 24/36 hours the humidity level was down to 55% at which point the dehumidifier goes into stand-by mode. It may be imagination but the air seems drier and not as cold. It is certainly quicker to bring the smithy back up to an acceptable temperature having used the dehumidifier.

When fully working you can hear the fan quite clearly. Whether this would be obtrusive will be an individual reaction. I would find it obtrusive if it was running in our bedroom. We have not yet tried the clothes drying facility but imagine it would be cheaper to run than the tumble drier.

Golden Review Award: 45 From Our UsersMy old DeLonghi unit has failed after the warranty, that was 6 months ago. I did a lot of research and eventually decided on a desiccant dehumidifier from Ecoair. I decided to go for Ecoair’s DD128 due to its new design which looks rather nice. My house is very damp with humidity reaching 90%! I put this brand new DD128 in my kitchen when the humidity was 92% and I cannot believe it, after 3 hours on the high mode, it warmed up the kitchen from 16 degrees and humidity at 92% to 20 degrees and the humidity 76%. This is amazing, even my old Delonghi cannot do this! I left it on high for a couple of days to get the humidity level down to 60% and switched it to the Auto mode.

Now, on Auto setting, I save energy by 50% and the humidity in the kitchen is well maintained at about 60%. So it now consumes 330 watt per hour but I notice that the unit does not consume 330 watt all the time, sometimes it goes down to under 40 watt. So I called Ecoair to ask them why this is the case and they explained that the unit is intelligently detecting the humidity and temperature and only consumes 330 watt when it needs to (ie the humidity is creeping up) and may even switch to the high mode if the humidity suddenly climbs up to very high levels like before and then goes back down to a low 40 watts when humidity level is maintained at a nice comfortable level under 60%. This is a god-send for me, I can now just leave it running on Auto without worrying too much about changing the settings. I was advised by Ecoair to put the dehumidifier in the wettest area of my house and this is actually the entrance hall to my house, not the kitchen. So now I leave it in the entrance hall (where I now put my laundry rack) and leave my kitchen door ajar when I am not cooking to let the dehumidifier suck out humidity from my kitchen, which is the place I use most during the day.

This is one of the most valuable investment I have made in a long time, now that my humidity level is controlled, I am seeing mould and condensation on my walls and windows as a thing of the past! Brilliant piece of kit.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI have lot of plants in my living room, plants give off water vapour and causes my double glazed window to condensation. I brought this dehumidifier over DD122FW MK5 model (2013) because it is the latest model. Images speak itself. It is light to carry and it is very easy to use. When using Eco mode the noise level is exceptable or barely noticeable, however if you use on full blast mode then it is rather noisy, it would be better if your not there if you choose this mode. Drain bucket is fairly large about 2 litres and it has a handle build in to carry. If you use this machine on daliy basis for 4 hours, then you will have to drain the water every 2-3 days. It does have self timer built-in …2hrs, 4hrs and 8hrs. I gave it a 4 stars because I noticed the dehumidifier does give off a slight burning smell for a short while then disappear. Not sure why. It comes and goes.
