How to care for Cedar wood
Caring for the Cedarwood is easy.
Every 2-3 months give the rings a very light sand with the sandpaper included and wipe clean with a damp cloth.
This will restore their effectiveness.

Our Cedarwood rings can be placed anywhere from wardrobes to clothes bags. Add on to your hanger hooks or place on top of your clothes.
Make sure you use the dosage guide below to give enough of a covering of the Cedar to ensure it does the job!
Please check your clothes and garments are as dry as possible before adding Cedarwood to them as this will ensure the best results.

How Cedarwood Repels Moths
Worry about the little ones!
It’s the larvae of the moths, not the adults, that are munching away at your favourite Jumper!
However, it’s the adult moths that are drawn to the dark and undisturbed areas of your house, especially wardrobes, to lay their eggs.
It’s the oil within the wood that moths hate!
Not only does cedar smell great but is also what makes it so effective at repelling moths. It’s this which the clothes moth simply does not like the smell of, so will not lay it’s eggs where the fragrance is prominent.
This is amazing, but……..
The scent dissipates over time. Therefore if you do not refresh the blocks, then the moths may decide to move back in.

We are moving back into our old farmhouse. We always had serious problems with moths especially in carpets. I am all prepared now to try to control the damage. Living in the country one has to expect bugs and other pests and they are part of the countryside bless them !!! but if I can control damage to furnishings and clothing then its worth it. I am so confident of these cedar rings from the good reviews I have ordered another box. I also got the cedar oil so fingers crossed.

I have never ever seen a moth in my cupboard but yesterday found a teeny tiny moth whole. The MINUTE I put these rings in I saw a moth fly out!

These Cedarwood discs arrived the day after ordering them. The box contained 45 discs and two small bits of sandpaper which I have not felt the need to use. My husband and I set up a two people factory-line and added string to the discs. String not supplied. We have hung all the discs on various coat-hangers in our wardrobes. I have given these beautifully smelling Cedarwood discs a rating of 4/5 because it is early days and I need to know they work before giving them full marks. However I am confident in my high hopes. When I place one cedar circle on each hanger the clothes take up more space as the circles stick out. Also placed 4 in each drawer, how many clothes do people have to use 45? Instructiona are to lightly sand the rings every 2-3 months to restore the natural repellent of the cedar and, to this effect, I wonder whether the manufacturers would consider including a 10x10cm piece of sandpaper in each box since I suspect that, in many households, this is not an item which is readily available.
