Evolution Power Tools R210SMS+ Sliding Mitre Saw With Multi-Material Cutting, 45° Bevel, 50° Mitre, 230mm Slide, 1500 W, (110 V Industrial Plug)
Cuts All
Evolution is one of the market leaders in multi-purpose cutting technology. Utilising this multi-purpose cutting technology, all saws easily cut steel, aluminium, wood (even wood with nails) and plastic, using just one blade. All Evolution multi-purpose carbide-tipped blades are made in Japan and are of premium quality steel and performance.
Cuts Cooler
When cutting metals, Evolution blades leave an instantly workable finish and produce virtually no heat, burrs or sparks. This allows the material cut to be handled quickly instead of having to wait for the metal to cool down, as required with abrasives.
Cuts Tile
With this accessory, Evolution saws are the complete cutting package. Available in two styles to enable most natural stone, concrete, paving slabs and unglazed ceramics to be cut with ease. Segmented rim blades (available in 185 mm, 305 mm and 355 mm): Hot pressed turbo segmented rim for consistent cutting ability. Continuous rim blades (available in 210 mm and 255 mm): Provides the smoothest cut in unglazed ceramic tiles and ornamental stone.
Cuts Safer
Abrasive blades can create excessive dust, fumes, smoke, fire and can even explode. Evolution blades produce very few sparks, create little heat and are an overall safer alternative to abrasives.

After watching many videos about mitre saws and being new to wood working i wanted something cheap but good. Landed on my feet with this product….easy to use, set up perfectly. The dust bag is pointless but every thing else is very good.
If you want a cheap saw that does everything this is it.
Used it today, thought I was a joiner with the results it gave me, great saw and great price!!
Used it today, thought I was a joiner with the results it gave me, great saw and great price!!
Used my new mitre saw as soon as I received it, (Prime rocks).
The saw is a quality made piece of kit. Cuts wood like a hot knife through butter.
The blade you get with it is multi use, so should last for ages.
Very pleased with the saw. Well worth the money. I would strongly recommend.
he product is great the instructions could be better my advice is to download the video its very good and clea
As a hobbyist I dont use the saw everyday. It has done everything it claimed it could. No complaints so fa
Only used on wood but seems very well biult and solid deaig
My first mitre saw and frame – an excellent productivity tool.
5 weeks in and the laser guide has stopped working, a real shame as it was very useful – is it worth the hassle of returning the saw, I don’t think so.
Very useful product and excellent value. Mostly easy to set up although the laser light was tricky to align with the actual cut line. Also not easy to cut along a narrow piece of wood but it isn’t really meant for that.
Never had a powered saw of any kind before but decided to build a surround fit the Spa and figured I needed one. Also bought the table/stand for it to attach onto which is a MUST for 60 from Screwfix. Absolute doddle to set up and use and very happy with the results.
Delivered well. Packaged well. Came with dust bag and works like a champ. Would cut through post 4 day bender fa
Brilliant tool, easy to set up and use. Really good value compared with some of the other bigger brands. Highly recommend

Very pleased with it wish I had purchased one before also buy the The Evolution mitre saw stand with extension arms.
Brilliant product, very easy to assemble, high quality components, cant be faulted, unbelievably for the price.
I’ll be keeping this band in mind for my next purchase
Used this saw a few times now. Just finished cutting timber for a work bench. Easy and smooth. Would have liked a blade with more teeth, but that is a minor complaint. Enjoying using it.
Before my attempts to do architraves and skirting boards were pitiful. Now pulled all my old attemps down and redone using this saw and they look extremely professional. Even my wife is impressed; well a little.
Easy to assemble but watch the videos first. Easy to use and very accurate once set up. Excellent for cutting mitres for picture framing. So easy to cut wood to length accurately. I wish I’d bought one 50 years ago – hopefully this one will last me till I’m past caring!
Exactly as you would expect. Purchase for hubby and he loves it, he has no issues and would recommend.
Easy to use, very accurate and versatile. Quiet and clean.
Excelle
This has been one of many lockdown purchases as I have decided to start a few woodwork projects and it has been one of the best buy’s and most used cutting tool.
Fantastic chop saw. Very easy to use. Laser is spot on. Goes through 3 x 2 easily and will cut 6 inch decking without having to flip the board. Very easy to set angles and has already been more than worth the money on a decking projec
Easy to get familiar with for the amateur like me. Not too scary. The laser guide is especially useful. Great clean cut.
Excellent power saw made a planter for bamboo Brilliant job
Very impressed with the quality of product. Perfect for DIY
Fantastic piece of kit, transformed my workshop. Fast and accurate cutting. Laser shows exactly where the blade will cut. Forget the dust bag, you need a vacuum!

Excellent product, previously owned much more expensive product. Was not getting the use out of it. This product does all the same for a third of the price. Easy set up, accurate cuts and relatively quiet in operation. Great for the DIY and hobby people like me. Light and easily set up in the workshop.
The laser guide is really helpful for accurate cuts. Wish I had bought one years ago
absolutely solid and sturdy piece of kit, perfect for the home DIYe

I bought this product for my husband who has recently retired and so far he’s used it loads of times.. our garden is now equipped with bird feeders of all shapes and sizes. He says he should have had one of these machines years ago! The laser on the machines gives the user quick, precise cuts at various angles. It’s powerful motor even cuts through wood that has nails or screws in. All in all, a good buy!
Good tool and it gets used quite a bit. Laser is about half an inch out and I can’t quite seems to adjust it correctly even after watching a guy on youtube with the same model and the same problem. Mitre is not set up square so had to buy a small set square and adjust this myself
I highly recommend this brand as I have used this brand for approx 8 years and the tools are high quality, reasonable priced and easy to use.
Bought for installing decking, after the initial build out of the box was completed, worked really well
Great item there is a mistake on built instructions where the sliding arms shows upside down on plans but look at the picture on the box,
It would be nice if they also added the mounting bolt to fix to a table as they are not included .
But nice item
So I’ve only used this saw to knock up a raised bed so far but so far it’s been great.
First of all, anyone who takes more than 20 mins to set it up out of the box really needs to look at the online instructions. There’s a QR code on the blade packet that takes you straight to the website. Had mine set up in 15 mins with my 4 year old helping, so probably 10 minutes on my own!
I think the + features are worth the extra cash especially the laser and quick release clamps.
I’m only a rookie diyer, but this saw is perfect for my needs and with a 3 year warranty it should be headache free.
Bought this almost two years ago (Dec 2018) and it is still going strong. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Easy to maintain and replace blades which isn’t that often as the blades are exceptionally good. Everything about the Evolution R210 is strong and solid with excellent UK customer service. Would definitely recommend.
Very pleased with the saw.
Great quality for the price.
Would buy again.
Loved the measure stamped on the back rail.
I wavered on buying this version but it’s amazing
Well made, function rich and easy to use.
Perfect tool for any garage or shed
Have used this wonderful product. Very good value for money
It’s the best you can buy in this money range. It needs a lot of assembly and calibration though. But it’s good quality and strong enough for semi professional use.

Great buy
Used for flooring and new built in cabinets cant recommend enough
Esay to assemble if you follow video online 5mins and done
Wouldnt go without super product !!
also gona buy stand to suit would recommend to aswell
Have used this only for light work. Not had any problems.
I cannot comment on how it would be for a professional, but I think it would be fine.
Would recommend.
Easy to setup. Ideal for home DIY. Stop ends could be better as they have some moveme
Only used a few times and worked really well. Only criticism is you do need manually adjust blade guards and guides to ensure the cuts are perfectly aligned.
Many videos online however so easy to do but saw wasn’t angle perfect straight from the box. Only 1-2 degrees out but when making frames and needing angles to align this then becomes 2-4 degrees out and mm gaps between joins.
Wouldn’t stop me buying again though and only took half hour to perfect alignments. Once tightened don’t see me needing to do this agai
Used as a compliment tool for domestic craft work the new model is a great improvement on my older tired (worn out) version. Very pleased.
Easy to assemble, strongly built and a dream to use. Wish I bought one years ago.
Spend a bit of time setting this up tho to get the right-angles right etc, and it’s pretty accurate and has cut just about anything I’ve thrown at it to date. It’s not a DeWalt, but brilliant little saw for the money, great DIY addition. Every home should have one.
Xmas present for my husband, he is delighted with it, does all he wanted it to do
Good robust tool that appears to be well thought out. It does require some assembly, but the Alan-Key required is included and the pictures/info are all pretty clear. Already have a standard circular saw from evolution, and based on that being good, I went for this tool too. I’ve already inadvertently cut through some thick nails with it, and didn’t notice a change in performance while it made the cut.
ice cuts ,accurate used for skirtings , arc , and picturerail so much easier than with my old hand mitre . Tip bought the evolution saw stand makes job easier when saw set on this. on this model of saw had to leave rubber feet on saw to get clearance for the stop block on swivel handle because it is moulded in place and not detatchable
Take the time to set up as instructed and it will return you almost perfect angles and clean cuts. Very pleased with my purchase.
Great little saw took about 15 minutes to set up. Cuts everything you put to it like a hot knife through butter. Can’t wait to get the opportunity to buy the bigger version. A must have for a diyer and possibly for contractors. Well done evolution will be slowly switching over to your tools.
Love the laser guide and the power and simplicity of use. Cuts metal(alloy) and wood with ease, used to fit my kitchen and components really could not have carried this out to the expected level without it.
Perfect product. Cuts any material with a clean perfect cut each time.
Impressed with quality, but did not find the assembly easy.
This product exceeded expectations.
It is very well made and logically out together. Looking forward to working easier and more accurately.
Only critiscism is the so called manual including assembly instructions.
Done with drawings that are so small you need a magnifying glass to make sense of them.
Having said that, as long as you take your time it all comes together.
This chop saw is very compact, easy to use and lightweight which makes it easy for the user to move it from place to place with ease. Comes in a sturdy box and well packaged. Only downside is that it has a small blade diameter which wont be a problem if u are a average DIYer like me.
Excellent tool highly recommend.
First power mitre saw only used so far to test on small cuts however can say this makes cutting wood very easy providing clean, smooth accurate cutting.

Easy to set up. Blade was straight and true. Cuts great. For the diy guys this is great. Priced competitively on Amazon and arrived without damage. Very pleased with my purchase.
Great product. Bit of a flaff to put together but works superb! Would thoroughly recommend for any DIY enthusiasts.

Unpacked and frame built within a few hours! Setup instructions are a little bit wanting but following the pictures got the unit built ! First cut and away I went the blade I had with the unit cuts wood plastic and metal so had a go at all 3 ! Excellent performance and really impressed! I dont normally recommend products as its individual choice but for the price and performance this wont be beat !
Excellent saw that was purchased for some DIY projects. Extremely easy to use with excellent results. Easy to transport and bracket to hold whatever material you are cutting is very handy. Would recommend watching the video when constructing the saw as the paper instructions are very difficult to follow.
Very easy to setup. Lazer light good but not in bright sun. Got lots of power. Simple to use. And as it has rubber feet stands on my B&D Workmate. No need for saw bench. Plus it it all locks down easy to carry to put a way.

Excellent piece of kit for cutting all sorts of materials, done mainly wood and block paving cutting in the few months I’ve had it.

Have been using this saw for a couple of weekends now, easy to assemble. Easy to use. Took a little bit of time to work out the Lazer guide but all in all highly recommended.
Bought for my Son says it is super, cuts through anything very accurate and strong
The machine was nearly 100% but I have noticed that the sliding bar for 45 degree angle cutting not straight when parked in the normal position. Fortunately it doesn’t affect the cut as it is bent in the ‘right’ way and not excessively. I haven’t complained or returned as I need the tool for immediate use; just a little disappointed.
It’s very good for the money and the blades are excellent. It’s not forgiving, so unless you are used to using one and understand the importance of keeping the wood firm and still, and letting the blade stop before you pull the wood away, you can find the blade catching and pushing the wood back at you. Other than that it’s bob on.
I like the smooth sliding action and the laser light make the cuts easy,I have used it to cut wooden floor tiles.
This is my second Evolution chop saw very good reliable saw
Easy to setup, ideal for all sorts of jobs. I’m currently framing out my garage with studs and this has been perfect.
if I could give this tool 10 I would excellent piece of equipment for the money
Really happy, and brought it with the Mitre saw stand from Evolution, and have now also brought their saw table as really good quality products.. Great for a keen hobbiest.
This is a nice little saw, nothing complicated about it, reasonably easy to put together, if you’re used to machine tools, and easy to operate.
It doesn’t have the power or quality to be used professionally but it’s perfectly adequate for anything you’d want to have a go at at home.
Very nice power saw, very good quality, looks and works like a dream.
Bought has a present the gentleman was delighted. Came when stated. Will by other items .
Like several other reviewers I too discovered that a degree in rocket science was needed to assemble this sliding saw. However once it was finally assembled it was a decent saw and fairly easy to use. This is a good quality saw and seems very durable. So apart from the difficult assembly I was impressed.
This is a Christmas present for my husband.so I will let you know after Christmas.he is a carpenter and is always saying how much easier it would be if he had a sliding saw. The saw came in just 4days .
Haven’t used it a heap. But so far, definitely so good
So far so good, this was a replacement for a previous saw that developed a fault after just 15 months but still under amazons excellent warranty

This is a great sliding mitre saw for the price. It took approximately an hour and a half to construct. The instructions were rather frustrating as the images were separate from the text. This meant a lot of flipping back and forth to follow them. (see pictures)
For the job of cutting skirting boards, the blade did a great job. The dust bag not so great but I expect to clean up after sawing.
The best feature of this is the blade that can be used to cut a variety of materials. For DIY jobs around the house, this is a very handy tool.
On opening the saw the first thing you notice is that there’s a fair bit of assembly required. Once I had removed everything from the box I spread everything over the table and began with the instructions. The instructions were straightforward enough, the only problem with the instructions is that they are essentially 30+ pictures about the size of a postage stamp each and there wasn’t an instruction for the cover that goes over the two rails which took a couple of minutes to work out. Using the saw was very easy and the blade provided was excellent for cutting through the kitchen pelmets and cornices at various angles. The saw is quite big once assembled so it’s now taking up a whole shelf in my garage out of the box covered by a blanket as I didn’t want to disassemble it.
Love it,
my first time buying this type of tool and it does everything they show it doing, was pretty well squared up straight out of the box ready to play.
Fantastic tool. Easy to use.
Maybe not top of the range but value for money it’s brilliant.
Having owned a non-sliding version of this saw, I thought I knew what to expect from this — but it’s an altogether more serious piece of kit.
There’s some assembly (necessary hex key included), which although pretty straightforward is not helped by somewhat vague and tiny illustrated instructions – to be honest if it’s almost easier to look at the photos on the box and figure it out for yourself.
But once it’s all together it’s a substantial and large piece of equipment — taking up a lot more space than the non-sliding version and weighing at least double. The key bit a metal and the sliding mechanism feels smooth, positive and free of play.
In use the Evolution blade cuts cleaning, quickly and leaves you with minimal clean up. The laser guide is handy, but wasn’t quite exact — so offer the blade up before cutting to be sure. As usual the dust extraction is pretty ineffective — but aren’t they all. Changing the cut depth and angle is easy too and has enough options to covers most eventualities.
This is my third piece of Evolution equipment and all have exceeded my expectations — this doesn’t disappoint either — definitely recommended for general use and perhaps light professional use.
As a very amateur DIYer I have always been envious of people with mitre saws, instead using hand saws so this is a great chance to try out an impressive bit of kit.
Setup: it took me a while to work it out but I got there with a bit of help. I have it set up on a workbench, the optional stand looks great so worth getting if you have space.
It is ridiculoulsy easy to use, using it on skirting has been simple and a whole lot more accurate and cleaner. I’ve had neighbours over (with more man skills than me) and they are very impressed, saying it seems as good as the market leader. They like the fact it can cut nails in old wood (we didn’t try it) and also the different setups. I have to say for the odd bit of work it is overkill but for the keen amateur of even professional builder this is a fully featured bit of kit at a good price.
Evolution seems to be a name to look out for.
An impressive addition to my “tool box”.
The saw arrives will minimal setting up required, so is easy and quick to get set up, ready for use…. which is good as the instructions are a little on the poor side.
Everything you need to get going comes in the box, no need to go buy a blade or dust bag etc, but I have purchased the stand, which I think is a worthwhile investment as it allows me to use the saw anywhere I choose rather than limiting me to my workshop.
So far I have made shelving boxes with a mitred edge, a planter and a small garden table …. quick and easy items to test the saw.
I used decking boards, fence boards and old scaffold boards, each varied in size and I got a good cut on all.
Using old scaffold boards is always a bit of a risk, there are stray nails, metal banding around the ends, bits of spilt this and that on the wood ( all adds to their rustic charm) but the saw had no problems with them at all, it cut cleanly and the gave me a crisp, clean cut to work with, most impressive.
Great product the only reason why I’ve given 4 stars was the confusing picture instructions on the one off installatio
