    Good, not completely accurate
Generally works nice. The only issues I found are about the precise placement. The clamping stuff moves with these brackets, and they are slightly flimsy, so it’s hard to set the angle exactly, it wobbles a couple of degrees back and forth. And the same for the limiting clamp (not sure what the real name is, the big one, acting as a 90 degree wall across the entire table) – there’s no alignemt between the two ends, so it might be not completely parallel to the saw blade.
    Otherwise all works cool.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat saw for beginners
Firstly the people who are having major issues assembling the legs probably shouldn’t use a table saw. I assembled the legs in about half an hour using only the instructions, i found it very easy and straightforward, referencing the assembled images on the box helps also.

If people are not practical enough to be able to assemble this saw then they’re really not practical enough to use one of the most dangerous workshop tools in my opinion.

It’s worth setting aside a couple of hours to get the saw all perfectly dialled in before a first cut is made. Checks for alignment should be made. Align the blade to the fixed right hand side (rhs) mitre slot, align the left sliding mitre slot to the fixed rhs mitre slot, align the fence to the fixed rhs mitre slot. Ensure blade hits a perfect 90. Ensure fence measurement markings are zero’d.

There are various screws and adjustments on the table saw that allow for accurate dialing in.

My first cuts were made to test the saw for square, i cut some white oak with ease and managed to mill an out of square workpiece to perfectly square, verified by my engineers square. The blade is also fantastic, the oak showed no burn or blade marks.

All in all this is fantastic value for money. I don’t believe there’s a better saw for the money on the market, in fact I’d say this saw is better than other brands which are 2-3 hundred pounds more expensive.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersExcellent saw but parts not labelled and do not align!
As a semi-professional DIY’er this is by far the best table saw I have bought. It is very accurate, versatile and feels like it will last (of course time will tell).
My only criticism was when assembling it – none of the parts were labelled and so it took considerable time to put it together so I’ve taken a couple of pics that might help. I also struggled with aligning the stand assembly as the pre-drilled holes didn’t match up etc (metal file required).
However, once assembled, you’ll not be disappointed.

    Superb machine
Bought this for my hubby as his other 1 had popped. He says it’s absolutely brilliant. Was a bit tricky to put together as the instructions are to small to read but the pics are OK and my hubby like most men likes pics over instructions lol. Anyway it takes up nearly no room compared to his old one. The blade is thin and true and cuts like a hot knife through butter. Hubby says it’s better than his old one.

    Perfect for DIY
I read many reviews before purchasing this and was nearly put off but I am so pleased I wasn’t. I’m not a joiner or builder and I can accept that, if I were, it might well not be man enough. However, I do do DIY and small projects on various properties I own and have already found it a fantastic asset. It is so manoeuvrable and has already saved me hours of work. If I wanted a more professional saw bench then yes, I would spend a lot more money and purchase that – which, incidentally, would inevitably mean loss of flexibility. It is my opinion that if your required usage is not exceptionally high then you would struggle to find a better product for the price.

Impressed with the saw. Cut perfectly.
Over all very impressed with this saw. There are some minor things that could be better but nothing that would stop its use. Mine Cut straight right out the box.

    Things to note:

Some small adjustments needed to level off the top, but that is expected on any new tool.

The measurements on all guides are not Accurate, you will need a angle gauge and tape. And don’t trust what they say is 45 degrees.

For those worried about putting it together, yes the instructions in the book are poor, however evolution have a step by step guide on YouTube that is easy to follow.

    Exceeds expectations
I am pleased with this saw. It may not be a precision tool suitable for a professional cabinet maker but it’s suitable for a hobbyist like me. It cuts cleanly and can be aligned with sufficient accuracy to allow me to make functional items. It doesn’t take up much space when not in use. Yes it’s mostly made of plastic but this keeps the weight down making it easy to move.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat piece of kit!
Did a lot of research before deciding on the Rage 5s and I’m not disappointed.
Setup Instructions aren’t good but You tube has plenty of videos and that’s the way to go.
Only minor adjustments required to rail but blade was in perfect alignment out of the box.
The multipurpose blade although only used for wood has performed brilliantly (wood blades are available) you need to keep back from the blade as this doesn’t have slow start but it’s not too noisy and the blade guard works well.
The extending arms are simple and solid making sheet cutting easy, the rail is very firm and I love the sliding top.
It’s easy to fold up and down, not too heavy as you do have to lift sideways through doorways; there’s neat storage on the sides. A minor gripe is the cable not being very long. However, so far I’m a very happy bunny with my new toy.

Easy to set up and use
Great machine! Very easy to move into position where needed. The only issue have is with the scale on the guide rail. I have not yet figure out how to line up and use the scale to set up the guide position for desired location of cut. To do this I resort to using a steel rule to position from the guide to blade. Early days though and I am sure I will eventually realise its full potential.

Had my eye on this for years, not disappointed!
I have been wanting to replace my old one for years and finally got the opportunity to do so.

It did need some adjustment to make the blade completely upright, using a t-square and then adjusting the clamp on the side. Evolution tools are not always accurate with their set up. There are videos explaining how to do this on you tube.

One word of warning you will need to give yourself time to put together the stand and a second pair of hands. Plus patience always helps. Evolution do offer a video online of how to put it together. Really good video making everything clear.

Used it so far for stripping the front off nail filled pallet wood that would destroy a planer. I have other evolution tools and the blades are superb. Now I can clad my shed with stripped, smooth pallet wood and then stain it.

Once again an evolution tool that’s worth its price, I have only purchased one evolution tool that I was dissatisfied with.

Been looking for a while and this one had the main feature I wanted was the rip fence solid at both the front and back with the clamp on the front. Check the dimensions between the fence and the blade are pretty accurate without much adjustment. Good value for Money

Great value but heavy and wider than a door.
Good: pretty good table saw. Quite solid and fairly accurate. Great price. Good attachments. Sliding mitre fence a game changer – nice! Cuts like butter. Reasonably low power means it will run off my shop vacuum’s built in socket which is fantastic. Default blade pretty great.
Extends a lot (firmly) though quite wide.

Bad: WIDER THAN A DOORWAY which makes the trolley a bit crap when you then need to drag the wheels sideways.
VERY heavy which is a bit dangerous with the collapsing trolley which has some sudden heavy jump motions WATCH YOUR FINGERS! Extremely cumbersome to move.
RIP fence lock slightly too wide making set up difficult until fully locked (also oil it!).
Safety guard is worse than useless if set up as in the manual. Lock nut gets in the way. I think the design changed after printing the manual. Way too dangerous to use with small bits getting lodged in it. [later it appears lifting it fully up helps]
Removing said guard means dust extraction compromised with no plug for vac hole when guard hose not in use.
Could do with a set of cheap zero clearance inserts.
Could do with a quick safety OFF switch (no longer available on this model now)

Good quality entry level table saw
This evolution saw is a great all round table saw for a DIY’er. The fence is a strong and accurate, the saw is not too noisy and you can accurately rip cut long lengths of wood. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is due to the flimsy side extensions which make the whole thing quite unstable for cutting larger pieces. I took them off and integrated the saw into a larger work bench which has solved that issue. The saw itself is compact and light and I would recommend buying this item.

Great piece of equipment with some fantastic features
I’ve been using this for a couple of months now and just love it.

It gives nice clean cuts. The adjustable fence grips at both ends with a clever locking mechanism that works really will. The sliding but of the table for mitre cuts is also really useful. It extends wide enough to be able to cut reasonable sized sheet material and folds away pretty small for what it and moves around nice and easily once assembled.

A couple of points worth noting though. I used the instructions along with a YouTube video on how to put the table together as the paper instructions were not the easiest to follow. But in the end it went together just fine. It is also unbelievably heavy and difficult to carry when it is still boxed – I definitely wanted a second person to give me a hand with it – which is probably worth knowing if your need to take it up and down stairs or in and out of vehicles. However, once it is built and on the ground it is really easy to fold up, fold down and move around.

Generally a very good machine, accurate once adjusted. Just about powerful enough for seasoned hardwood. Sliding table is a good feature as is the rip fence, good solid clamping. Down side is not soft start/brake on motor. Starts with a bang and runs on, Tripped power a couple of times. I bought their double bevel mitre saw too, that has soft start/brake, and I really can’t fault it in any way. I would definitely recommend

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersJust bought this model
Hi. I’ve just recently bought this model which arrived today. After unpacking and making sure everything was here I opened the book to the part where you put it all together. I spent a bit of time reading and once I was sure I knew how it all went together I gathered a few tools. At this point I got into a bit of trouble, so I watched a video from Evoultion about putting it together which helped a great deal. About an hour later I had finished or so I thought, I’d managed to put one part backwards so had to go over that bit again. Please note though, Do Not Over Tighten the nuts and bolts.
Overall I found it easy enough to put this together but I do recommend you watch their video in conjuction with the book, it will help you.. I love the look and how it folds away to save room, One thing I must say is remember to adjust the height of the riving knife before cutting any wood.. Do I think this is a good buy, Simple answer is Yes. Enjoy..

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPretty good performance and value wise
Saw arrived quickly, straight away I noticed the box had been resealed with sellotape, I immediately thought that I have received a returned item, upon opening the box my suspicions were confirmed, the polystyrene packing was split, the three pin plug cover was loose in the box etc and when I removed the saw from the box I took a good closer inspection before I assembled it, upon doing so I noticed that the blade was sitting at an angle, having looked at the underside I noticed that the motor mounting bracket was bent and so the motor itself had come adrift, pondering over the hassle of sending it back I decided to keep it and repair it which was relatively straight forward, the reason I’m explaining this is to emphasize the importance of thoroughly checking everything.
That said after using it a number of times I found it ideal for what I wanted, and I was using it mostly to cut hardwood which it did very accurately, I even cut my Aluminium stair spindles to length with ease and with a nice clean smooth edged cut, the only drawback I found was the sliding bed was loose fitting in the guide making it difficult to achieve the correct angle cut, overall this is a great saw for a reasonable price

    Fantastic tool.
I know some people have criticises thr build quality but for this price I think it is stellar.
There’s a couple of plastic components but the overall build quality of up to a heat standard and it cuts perfectly. The multi material blade is nice and has a tiny kerf for its cutting power. The motor hasn’t struggled with anything and the fence has been a great upgrade from my old job site saw.
A little setup and the measure is dead on and the fence remains straight without worry.

The mitre gauge is a little unreliable at first, I’d recommend shimming the slide to remove the slight side to slide play and swap it’s fence out for a sacrificial board or something. It’s definitely best used the the sliding table feature which I have to say is great.

I like th included stand. It’s very sturdy and quick to raise or lower. It definitely makes moving the heavy saw easier.
It’s frustrating (as I work in a very small shop) that it’s footprint is so large – may not be an issue for everyone but worth keeping in mind if the stand is an important aspect for you.

Overall a great saw with a great selection of accessories.

Fantastic for the price, highly recommended. Not perfect but impresses for the price point.

Overall a great saw with a great selection of accessories.

    great machine
Does exactly what I was looking for, as a DIYer this tool covers all the bases and would be useful for more than I need to do! Fairly easy to build, just read the instruction book. Great to store as it folds up very quickly and without effort Accurate cuts and easy to adjust for different widths and angles Blade cuts all that I have tried it with- all in all very satisfied.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersInstructions SAFETY ISSUES
This review is basically about the manual, and why over 90% of people who buy this saw will not use the guard and if they do they will have the blade height set incorrectly, and why the will not use the other very important safety feature fitted when ripping, ie the sub fence!
I have not long unpacked and built my saw, so I believe I have the latest instructions. (Jan 2020)
Although Evolution tell you in the instruction that you should always use the guard and use the sub fence for ripping, they have FAILED to make it clear IMOA that to fit the guard so that it works correctly you are required to adjust the riv RIVING KNIFE to just about it’s full height so that the GUARD will work even if you have only a small amount of blade above the table.

The SUB FENCE that possibly 99.99% of people WILL NOT USE, but it is there as another SAFETY AID for when you RIP CUT real wood ie 4×2 etc, it should be fitted so that the furthest point of the SUB FENCE is aligned with about the centre of the blade ie the blades highest point, this is so that it the timber you are ripping want to move away from the blade once it has been cut it has somewhere to go and A. will help stop burn marks, but more importantly B. prevent it from pushing itself off the fence onto the blade, which is another reason, for KICKBACK !!

So there you have it, the chose is yours, be safe, don’t rush, and stop and think about what you are going to do, and if it does not feel right, DON’T DO IT and find ANOTHER WAY, that’s SAFER!!!!!!!!!! AS THIS IS THE ONE TOOL THAT PUTS MORE PEOPLE INTO A&E every year!

Great Table Saw for the price
Evolution have great customer service and their blades are excellent.
I’ve been really impressed with this mobile table saw. It’s easy to get in and out of the shed and the blade was @ 89.6deg when I put it together with no adjustments. It’s not that hard to assemble. Legs are a bit tricky as the instructions aren’t great but if you find it really difficult then I think you might want to think a bit harder about what kind of saw you really need.
It’s not a soft start but it doesn’t have a scary jump start either.
Sliding mitre slot has a little play but is easily sorted.
The fence clamps on both ends and I’ve found it very accurate once in place.
Wish it (still) had a larger off button that you could hit with your knee but it’s really a great piece of kit and I’ve started using it more and more.

Top range saw for DIY at a affordable price
The saw is great value for money very well designed and sturdy enough for the general DIY work. The assembly was annoying as the drawings were not clear enough l went on YouTube and watched a video showing assembly and done it in no time. Overall l am extremely pleased with my saw and the versatility of it l highly recommend this saw to anyone.

    We'll made, good value.
I really feel this is a very versatile table saw, especially its capability of multi material cutting. The table extensions have been extremely useful and the 90mm cutting depth is vital given the first jig you will likely make is a Cross Cut Sledge, this will subtract from the cutting depth somewhat. I only wish the model I have came with the flap type of stop switch as you can press Stop with your knee whilst maintaining a safe position around the job. With the small button type, I need to be certain the blade is clear before I take my eyes off the job and look for the red button.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLets cut to the chase. Great diy table saw.
Great item, delivered a day early and unlike other reviews mine was intact and damage free. Took about 30 mins (after watching YouTube videos) to assemble and feels sturdy when in use and easy to move back into the shed afterwards. Sliding mitre feature is a real added bonus. A little slop in the mitre track but nothing a piece of tape on the bottom of the guide couldn’t fix. Bought whilst on offer during black friday and took advantage of the five interest free payments. Have purchased an additional wood blade but not had a chance to try yet.

    A great home workshop saw
I really like this saw. After assembly and an hour or two of calibration, I was really happy with the accuracy. The quality of woodworking cuts was improved by replacing the blade with an 80 tooth version.
The only thing I’m slightly disappointed with is the quality of dust exhaust. Any suggestions how to improve that with modifications would be great.

    Not for the faint hearted
This saw is much bigger than I imagined even when folded. The attachments work well and the blade is excellent. However the small illustrations in the assembly instructions are far from clear making it very difficult to assemble. The blade guard is useless and when fitted will only allow the blade to descend half way. I believe the guard to be dangerous and I have removed it. Other than the above, it is an excellent machine for the price paid to Amazon.

    Versatile Accurate Saw
Very happy with this saw. It’s the newer model with improved clear blade guard. Mine was accurate with a flat bed and did not need any adjustments. The only negative was the instructions on assembling the legs, it took a few goes to get it right and I’m pretty good at this sort of thing.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSuperb bit of kit.
I just love this tablesaw. its completely tuneable and very powerful. every little aspect of it belies the fact that its less than 300. I couldn’t have found a better saw for less than a grand and the sliding table is the kiddy.utterly brilliant. A very fine addition to the mobile workshop. i then saw these, bought 4 of them, made a perfect height table to run timber out to at the back of the saw. they aren’t for standard timber sizes (4×2 or 3×2) but that’s not a problem when you have a table saw to run the correct profile out on. brilliant stuff.

    Great Produc
I have never owned or used a table saw before and did a lot of research before I purchased one. Initially, I was going to buy the cheaper model but there are a number of reviews on YouTude suggested this is better value for money.

The instructions that came with it were no more than ok and I resorted to YouTube again to see how things lined up.

Once assembled I found the saw to work extremely well and it has enabled me to attempt things that seemed far away. I struggle to draw a line with a straight ruler and have found the fence to be sturdy and accurate.

The only issue I have is the amount of sawdust it chucks out. I have it Scheppach HA1000 vac and there still seems to be a lot of sawdust on the workshop floor, way more than I would expect. I have contacted Evolution support and working with them. Although they haven’t fixed the issue they respond fast.

The only reason I dropped a star is because of the sawdust problem.

Great saw. Purchased to replace a cheap model, buy cheap buy twice! Perfectly accurate for the price range & part-time wood worker. Sliding mitre table is a brilliant addition and I’ve never seen it on any other saw. Personally I don’t use the frame it sits on but the concept is a great idea. Would fully recommend this saw for those on a budget so nice to have accurate clean cuts.

Really like this saw, lots of features for the price. Obviously saws like Dewalt or Bosch are better made, with more accuracy and better materials but the evolution rage is and excellent table saw for the diy enthusiast and I would recommend it. It is very large so take this into account and a bit of a pain to put together but you’ll get there in the end.

It’s a fantastic saw, the table extensions are really useful can easily rip a large sheet of ply or mdf, the full fence also helps to keep the cuts accurate. The assembly is a little tricky but doable. Moving it around is so easy would definitely recommend this piece of kit.

Terrific value for a well made saw
Assembly was a little confusing but I got everything put together after a few tries. The instructions were a bit feeble to my way of thinking and could easily have been clearer. Once assembled by referring to the photographs on the box the machine is really good and does a fine job. I still haven’t figured out how the measurement rail is meant to be accurate but even on industrial saw benches I use a tape to confirm and a test ‘notch’ to confirm setting.
All in all though I haven’t seen anything as good as this anywhere near the price and quality. It folds into an easily stored unit.
