Good all around
It’s great! I had matrix brass of shampoo before which was good but not as strong as this stuff. It’s super purple, after first use people was asking me if I’ve been to salon. Also I have oily hair and normally I would have to wash them every day, with this stuff I can go up to 3 days between washes which is aaamazing
I love this Fanola shampoo and won’t buy any other brand again now that I’ve used it! I bought it after my hair stylist recommended I use to preserve my highlights as much as possible. I use this 2-3 times a week to boost that icy tone in my hair. Only need to leave it on for 1-2 minutes at most to get that silvery look. I bought this back in October and it is January now and I still have plenty left to use. Definitely worth the money!
Only recommendation is to purchase some plastic gloves for application as it can stain your hands for about a day if used without protection.

I have been using this purple shampoo for 3 years and am so happy with it! Takes all the yellow out of my hair and makes it the perfect white. I only use it once every 1/2 weeks because it will dry my hair out but it really does what it says. I never leave it in for more than 2 mins or it will actually turn my hair purple.

The best purple shampoo I have ever used to get rid of yellow from my hair. I have bleach blonde hair so it comes with the territory, but one wash and the difference was astounding. Made my hair luxuriously soft and smelt great too. Will be using this shampoo for as long as I have blonde hair, can’t fault it.

Although it had made my hair feel more dry (both in a good condition doesn’t solved). It does a great job at toning my hair without being patchy. It was alight leaking when arrived but didn’t seem to have lost much

It’s a bit drying but definitely works. Good to do a moisturising mask after using it and don’t leave on for too long. The first couple of uses it toned some parts more than others so looked a little uneven but it’s better after a few more uses.

Amazing shampoo, does what it says. I use it with the mask as well and it’s great. The bottle is huge and lasts a long time as I use it once a week to maintain my colour. Some people comment on the smell but I really like it as it’s not over powering. I use gloves when applying as it does stain your skin if your not careful.

Fanola no yellow shampoo
Bought as a surprise for my step daughter, who thought it expensive. She has just told her Mum that it’s the best shampoo for coloured hair she has ever used (over the years she’s been several hair colours! (I didn’t tell you that)). Though it has an aroma all of its own, does take getting used to.
I really like this, it’s pretty effective. I’ve used a few different products to get rid of the yellow in my hair, some have done nothing and others have worked but made my hair fall out. This works well. I’m brunette but I have long hair with a balayage colour style. Most purple tone products on amazon I’ve tried only work for people with fully bleach blonde hair in reviews so I recommend if you have similar hair to me. Still, probably because my hair is balayage and therefore more brown in parts, this doesn’t completely get the warmer tones out of some parts, but it’s worked better than anything else I’ve tried. It’s also quite drying and you will need to use another shampoo straight after to make your hair feel like it’s clean. For those reasons I only I would not give 5/5.

This product is amazing!! My hair was orange/ yellow brassy blonde and I didn’t want to put more damaging bleach on it. Used this once and it’s all gone . Just a nice even tone blonde. Very happy customer and will definitely be buying agai

Best toner ever. The higher the lift, the less time you need to leave it otherwise it turns blue. So watch out. This has super high pigment. Also, this means you’ll need to be careful about application. I use it in the shower and watch my hands straight away. I’d recommend gloves but I’m lazy *blush. I use this shampoo with the hair mask, as this can be a bit harsh on the hair. I also have the orange mask, for darker hair as I alternate between light and dark shades but always battle with warm tones.

Having tried fudge and others, I was worried about wasting money again as they dulled my hair but this is so much better! My hair is silver. Love it!

I have short hair which is bleached to very light blonde all over. It tends to be a bit yellowy; other silverising shampoos seem to have little effect. A friend came to visit- her long hair is naturally blonde, with added highlights. One day after she had washed it I noticed that her highlights had a beautiful silvery sheen, and she told me about this shampoo.
It looks like ink only with a thicker, but still runny, consistency. It certainly does alter the colour, the only thing is I have not found a way to get an even colour all over. Perhaps this is due to unevenness of the underlying dye job? It probably works better on hair with natural tones and highlights.
I use it on wet hair, and leave it on for a couple of minutes while I wash the rest of me, and it gives a noticeable silver/purple colour which fades gradually over the next few days. I use it around once a week as all I really want is to tone down the yellow; using more often would likely create more of a ‘blue rinse’ effect.

This shampoo is amazing! I’ve used a few different purple shampoos in the past, but this restored the ash highlights better than anything I’ve come across. I keep it on for 3 minutes (they suggest 0-5, but say it could end up turning your hair purple if left on longer) and the colour is as bright as it was the day I came out of the salon. 10/10 would recommend.

Oh my gosh this stuff is amazing! I dyed my hair ombre and i have dark blonde roots. My colour turned out goldy. I have put this on twice and its toned it down nicely and i even have some white streaks. I wanted to bleach it again to be white but i like the colour now.

The only negative thing about this shampoo is that you need to apply it again every while (2-3 weeks). The hair just goes back to yellow after 5+ showers! Otherwise, this product is great i cant stop using it!
Also, if your hair is too yellow i recommend leaving the shampoo for 10-15 min!

This works so quickly that it pays to stagger yourself!! Dont leave on more than a minute or two during first use. Or you might end up purple!! Excellent product and massively good value !!

This is the only purple shampoo I have used that really works and I’ve tried a lot. Been trying to get silver balayage for around a year now and this shampoo gives it and maintains it. Only down side it does stain your nails but worth it for the hair colour and compliments
So I didn’t believe that purple shampoo can help you, but I got this to remove the brassy tones in my hair and to make it look less damaged. Imagine my surprise now that my hair is no longer a mess, the yellow is not yellow, but actually blonde, my ends look almost healthy and I can de tangle my hair without much effo

Loving the smell. Hair looks less brassy now and grey looks like shiny silver. Must use rubber gloves. Had to watch hair first over the bath then shower as the shampoo (dark purple )would stain white shower curtain. Loving this product.
Brilliant shampoo for getting rid of red tones in your hair. I now have ash tones after 1 wash. Put on dry hair and leave in for 15 minutes. Rinse and follow with a conditioning treatment to stop hair drying out.

I’ve been using this for a few months now and it keeps my hair less brassy. I had dyed my hair grey and it helps maintain the colour. I use it every other 3 days or so and still have so much of the product left. I would recommend this shampoo and will definitely re-purchase.
Best purple shampoo I have tried
I brought this because of the good reviews i was hearing and hairdressers have used this on my bleached hair before. Even after one wash and leaving it on for 10 mins my hair is already alot cooler and alot less yellow – highly recommend! It’s also alot darker than Provoke Touch of Silver shampoo (almost black in comparison)
I like this product,works great,if you are just brightening up your colour,only need to wash hair use product,make sure it all lathers up,and is evenly coated,and depending on how that takes to do that just few minutes and wash off.

Best Purple shampoo I’ve tried! Really gets rid of brassy tones. I use it once a week or fortnightly and only leave it on for a minute, so no need to leave it on for long. It does turn your hands purple briefly, but as long as you wash your hands well in the shower it’ll come off fine! Definitely recommend it.

Love this shampoo. Smells a bit strange at first but you get used to it. I use it once a week on dry hair for 15 minutes and all the yellow tones are gone. Planning on trying the conditioner.
Absolutely stinks and it did stain my hands and nails a lovely shade of lilac (any darker I’d have looked like Violet from willy wonka after eating the gum!). However, my hair is no longer an awful shade of yellow even just after one wash so I can forgive the staining and the smell for that alone. Great product.

Fanola was recommend by my hairdresser when I was trying to lighten up my blonde. Can’t believe it actually works! Be careful however as my fingernails and surrounding have turned a little shade of purple!

Don’t leave on too long
Decided to let my natural colour come through which silver/grey. Shampoo adds a nice pale purple tone. It doesn’t cover the remaining tints in the hair but there’s not much of them left. Also you do have to watch your finger nails when washing your hair as they do take on a bit of purple. However I really like this shampoo. It’s more effective than the ones I’ve bought in the supermarke

Best colour toning shampoo I've ever used
It took the brassiness and red tones out of my dyed blonde hair and it didn’t dry it out or make it feel chemically treated as other shampoos have.

I have highlighted hair with dark ash low lights. The longer you leave it on you’ve a lovely grey new to your hair. After a normal wash your blond is back to being bright not yellow. Lovely wonderful stuff.

Fanola no yellow
I love this product, I have naturally very blonde hair, more a white blonde but it sometimes is very yellow. This takes all the yellow away and really lifts my hair. My daughter is a hair dresser and uses this on her clients too.
Read lots of reviews before purchasing and pleased to say that most were accurate. This product certainly does what it says it will do. After just one wash I could see a huge difference and I now use it once a week or so, along side other shampoos. It is very drying hence why I don’t use it all the time, but so long as plenty of conditioner and other nourishing products are used – it’s fabulous! Only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because of it’s drying effects. Smells lovely, quick results, reasonable price. Would def recommend to others.

Excellent, I have already reviewed the hair mask and conditioner. This product is unbelievable, I was apprehensive and thought it was all lies, but it actually works. I did it on wet hair and it didn’t really do anything. I then tried on dry hair and left it for a good long while and all the brassiness was gone and I ended up with lovely ash blonde as my colour instead of yellow brassy blonde. Brilliant stuff give it a try. I’m so glad I did now.

Brilliant!
Very good at combating brassy yellow tones in bleached hair. Is slightly messy, and will stain your skin if you’re not careful. Try to wear gloves or your cuticles get stained and it takes ages to get it off! I sometimes put it on dry and leave it for 5 -10 mins and sometimes put it on damp hair and lather for 5 mins. Just be careful not to leave it on very light bleached hair too long or you can get very bright blonde more like white. Overall good for the money!

Blue heave
Superb product which keeps my hair looking nice and ashy in colour. A little goes a long way. Beware. Your shower will turn blue so rinse it off afterwards. I choose not to wear gloves to apply and put up with the fact that my fingers and nails but a bit blue but this disappears after about 24hours.

Only used once but I think this is great value for money, compared to my normal one that’s more expensive, this works just as good. For the money it’s worth a try and I’ll defiantly be purchasing again.
This is amazing purple shampoo! This works better for me than a toner at the salon. My hair is naturally dark brown which I have balayaged. I use this on my dry hair leave it for 5-10 minutes and my yellowy brassy ends are gone and are transformed into a lovely light ashy blonde. I’ve used loads of different purple shampoos this is the best and the price is amazing for the size of the bottle. It can be a little drying so I also bought the large tub of the intensive conditioner which leaves my hair lovely and soft. I would recommend using gloves with this shampoo though it’s quite messy and stains your hands purple!

Very strong purple shampoo
Excellent product. Very strong pigment so watch how long you leave it on for. Great value, have tried other products with this level of pigmentation and they are very expensive for the amount you get. Definate worth the extra pennies

The product works really well! Brightens hair in very little time, be careful how long you leave it on your hands I had a purple tint to my hands for a while!! But with such a pigmented purple I’m not surprised that happened. 100% recommend this produc

Great shampoo for grey hair. Only word of caution is that I would suggest you do what I do and wear disposable gloves when washing your hair or it might leave slight stains on the side/under your nails otherwise. It washes of however do you really want everyone to know your secret ingredient to beautiful looking hair?

After reading reviews about this shampoo I was desperate to try it. And it did not disappoint, so I it smells very flowery but it is amazing how at getting rid of yellow tones from my bleached hair, and left it soft too.
Fantastic product!! I wet my hair in the shower and lathered the shampoo all over my head. I left it on for no longer than 5 minutes and then rinsed it off. The product did stain my hands purple but it was gone after washing them a few times with soap. It worked really well and made my hair much more icy blonde, removing the warm tones I had. I would definitely recommend!

Great size for the cost. But a bit drying. Left on too long and turned my grey roots lilac. My fault. But the blond highlights were blond and lovely. Will buy again. Just won’t use too often.

I’ve coveted this product for a while as the YouTube videos herald this as a magic solution to all your brassy problems. I have spent the past 8 years dying my hair dark plum colour and fighting the grey roots was becoming tiresome. I used ‘Colour B4’ to strip the plum out of my hair which it did so far better than I had hoped and put Nice n Easy Light Ash blonde over that to lift it closer to my natural colour. This left my hair looking like one of the new shiney pound coins – aka Ginge! I was expecting this to be the case having put red pigmented dye on for so many years. So – I couldn’t wait to try out Fanola No Yellow to try toning it down as soon as Mr Amazon delivered it.
Firstly, the product was very well packaged – no leaks, spills or seepage so big thumbs up there.
I was cautious the first application expecting immediate and drastic change so I wet my hair and lathered it on for five minutes. Gloves are recommended but as I didn’t have any I just accepted my fate of purple palms and blue fingernails.
The result – I didn’t see one so I went on for another go and gave it five more minutes. Again – I could see no difference when I had dried my hair so decided to go all out and walloped another load on dry before leaving another five minutes. I then rinsed and applied a large glob of hair repair conditioner before rinsing that out.
After drying my hair I can see a difference, it isn’t as brassy as when I started and am happy with the result and feel it was a worthwhile purchase. The gold shimmer has dulled but kept the lighter colouring of my hair.
I do recommend applying lots of conditioner and coconut oil / moroccan oil or alternate with both afterwards as it is quite drying. I will try again in a few days to see if regular use has more effect. And will buy gloves!

Best purple/silver shampoo I’ve ever used! I wash my hair with this every other wash, hasn’t dried my hair out unlike other silver shampoos I’ve used in the past (I think I’ve tried the majority of ones on the market). I massage it into damp hair and leave it on for 3-5 minutes, it leaves my hair beautifully ashy and silver, and if you use lots of conditioner afterwards and a leave in conditioner I don’t think it will affect the quality of your hair.
For the price and the quantity of shampoo you get the value of this is absolutely excellent. I’ve been using this every other day for the last month and I’m genuinely delighted with how my hair looks.
Only negative is it can make an absolute mess and you need to be very careful about how you apply it, can stain fingernails etc and your scalp if you don’t rinse thoroughly (!) so I would recommend using gloves. It’s also stained my shower curtains a lovely shade of violet but thankfully the marks come out in the washing machine!
Get compliments on a daily basis regarding the colour of my hair which is a lovely change! Would recommend this shampoo in a heartbeat (but also selfishly want to keep it as my secret!)

It definitely works, but only use a small amount as I used too much on dry hair and it turned some of my blonde a bit grey, but this faded anyway. Great product would recommend
Absolutely fantastic product!!
Washed twice & left 5 mins each time & the result was brilliant as you can see from the picture.
Doesn’t stain skin, but gets under nails & stains, will use gloves next time.

So so fab recommended by my hairdresser I know it is to take the brassyness out of blonde hair but my hairdresser uses it on me and my hair comes out a fab shade of pearl grey colour depends on length of time you leave it on..

I wanted ashy blonde hair without having it completely bleached. My hair was very yellow, particularly at the roots, but after using this once it worked wonders! It took a few washes with it to get the desired colour though. I left it on for 10 minutes the first time, I don’t think it did anymore harm than leaving it for 5 minutes, just keep an eye on any streaks of purple in your hair as it works pretty quickly! Now I’ve got my desired colour I use it every other wash.
It DOES stain your nails purple. There are videos all over YouTube showing how it doesn’t, but if you’re massaging it into your hair for 2 minutes it’ll end up staining your nails! The colour goes after about a day. It’s definitely not bad enough for me to ever stop using it. I never found it stained my bath or shower curtain, just make sure you rinse it down once you’ve finished washing it and you’ll be fine.
It does dry the hair when you use it so I use a deep conditioner afterwards.
Overall, it’s a fantastic product as it really does remove horrible yellow tones which you’d normally need to go to a hairdresser to sort out!
Best one Iv tried yet!!! Usual use matrix touch of silver but this is way better and only have to use a tiny amount for amazing results
Best toning shampoo I’ve used, great value as I normally pay around 11 for 300ml of my other toning shampoo!!, I use it on my hair dry and for about 15 mins before washing out – this has left my hair lovely white blonde and very shiney. Will defo recommend to all my fellow blonde bombshells

Love this shampoo, genuine article sent as I know there is a few fake bottles on the market at the moment, toned my hair from brassy yellow to cool blonde, bottle will last ages as you don’t need to use it every shampoo unless u are looking to create a grey or violet look.
