I bought 2 sets of these for myself and my son. Appear to be good quality and certainly block the signal from the key to the car when tested.
The litmus test is the unthinkable i.e. the car keys signal is intercepted which has not happened to date .
My only niggle is that the pouch is quite small so it means that if your car key is with house keys then its a tight fit and ideally you have to take the key off each night or attach the house keys to the pouch and keep it with you at all times, which isnt a bad idea because no doubt criminals may adapt there tactics to targeting your car in public.

I think I will invest in a faraday box for the home to be honest.

I bought this my parents who have just purchased their first keyless car. They were completely unaware that around 50% of car thefts are now of course using this technology. They now use these all the time as soon as they have locked their car they place the key in the pouch.
They thoroughly tested the product when it first got delivered, and once in the pouch it does block the signal completely.

Actually a very good product. I bought to use for my keyless car. It really does work. I accidentally put my key back inside the pouch one day after starting my car. I drove few feet and all my warnings start going off in the car as it could not detect the key!!! So it definitely works. Makes me feel safer too

I put my car key fob in this and keep it in an area well away from the front door to prevent thieves from “tuning in” to the fob and thus being able to unlock my car. I had the fob in one of the pouches inside my handbag in the car, and the engine would not start. This is how good they are. It gives me reassurance that my car is safe.
The pouches themselves appear to be of good durable quality, but I only received them today, so time will tell on that.

Since there is a growing concern regarding keys being scanned and the signals captured for the theft of vehicles it seemed prudent to invest in one of these. The price for a pack of two is very good and the quality if excellent. There is a key ring on a chain fixed to the inside of the pouch and a belt fixture on the outside. The RF shield works so well the car will not open (key less entry) unless the key is outside the pouch. It’s a slight faff to having to open the pouch and get the key out all the time but you get used to it.

Bought these because I have a new car with keyless entry coming in a few months . I have tested the bags with my remote key pressing through bag to open car & as expected from reviews the remote key would not open car until removed from bag.i can’t wait to use these with new car & feel they will keep my keys secure.

Totally works, so much so I keep forgetting when I get in my car and can’t understand why it won’t start?!?! Doh! I think this is probably the best value one on market at the moment. My only wish is that they did either car branded versions or choice of colours and patterns so we can instantly tell difference between mine and hubby’s keys. I have a Minu countryman and the keys fit fine.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this after being shocked by a segment on tv about car thieves! Came with two pouches which was a good buy.
I have a Mini that unlocks when you approach when you have the key on you. When I put the key in the pouch the car did not unlock. The key fits in the pouch easily with room to spare.
Just been using it to keep the car key in at the house, find it is a bit bulky to carry/use outside although it has a clip to attach to a belt etc. It also has a small chain and loop to attach your key to it. Perhaps the pouches could be about a quarter – half smaller if you only had a small key.
I took pictures with the pouch against a standard paperback book to give you an idea of scale without the key and one with the key inside.

Does what it says - it blocks key signal

The RFID bags were received on time and the packaging was very good, without being ‘over the top’. The bags will be used with a Toyota Corolla keyless fob. The RFID bag which I’d previously been using had eventually stopped working and allowed the fob signal to be seen by the car despite being in the bag, despite there being no obvious damage to the bag. That bag was quite small so I got the medium size this time around, which takes the fob easily rather than at a squeeze.
The bag seems to be well made and, when tested, did it’s job in preventing the fob signal from reaching the outside world. It’s early days though and I’ll see how it gets on over time.

New car has brought me into the world of keyless. These pouches are big and a little chunky for a pocket, but that’s down to the crazy big Toyota key! End of the day, it comes down to do they block signal. Yes they do. With the flap closed I can’t open the door or start the engine even with the fob right next to the “keyless battery low” sensor. Cheap and cheerful.

Works as described – when the key is in the Faraday Bag I can’t open or start my keyless-entry car. Medium size Faraday Bag fits a Range Rover key easily. Bag is soft material, fine for putting in trouser pockets etc. I personally think keyless entry is a pointless and inconvenient innovation, as well as being open to exploitation by thieves, but a Faraday Bag solves the latter problem at least. Good product. Great value.

I have bought these previously, i would say these are the best on the market.
They do fail after a couple of months. If you are taking your key in and out of the pouch a lot it is to be expected. wear and tear
Paying almost 7 every few months to protect our cars is nothing in comparison to having them stollen. in fact someone tried to steal one of our cars, but was unable to due to these pouches and a faraday box.
    Highly Recommend

Very impressed! Holds my car key house key my St Christopher key ring and Tesco Clubcard all together. The little chain from the inside to my keys mean I can literally pour my keys out without dropping them!
The case works so well that my key had slipped back inside the case and even though it was open it wouldn’t let me start the car until I took the key out! Now that’s impressive! I’ve had other cases that have definitely not worked as well. Very impressed! Value for money having 2 cases so I know my spare is safe!!

The thing is, we really shouldn’t require devices like this and they are making the best job of providing protection for low cost in not ideal circumstances. It works well. I’m dropping a star because I can already tell it won’t last long and it’s a faff to use because of its size and having to prize the key fob in and out of the wallet. So five stars because it works and it’s a cheap, effective method of keeping the key safe, but it’s just not great as a piece of design, in application or durability.

My wife and I don’t carry these around with us, they’re a bit too bulky for that. We just use them for dropping the car keys into when we return home to provide peace of mind re the security of our car while it’s unattended. In terms of peace of mind, they’re an absolute steal for the price – I honestly anticipated having to pay more for these. They’re still new, so I can’t yet speak to their durability however they do appear to be manufactured with a high degree of quality, so I expect them to last a long time. We’re certainly very pleased with them so far.

After all the reports of keyless entry car thefts, getting a car with such technology requires nothing but being secure.
So I found this dual pack of key pouches and I couldn’t be happier.
I wasn’t sure what I would be getting with this from Amazon but I needn’t have worried as I inspected its material, nice thick outer with a velcro fastener.
I was also impressed with the quality of the carabiner latch and overall, it’s well made. The bonus was when I discovered that this has a little chain with a keyring on the inside to secure your car key. This product performs very well, tested with standing right next to the car trying to open it with the key in the pouch.

For too long I was having to place my key fob in the fridge at night so I decided to invest in the faraday bag. I have to say I have not been disappointed. Excellent quality product. It comes with a chain inside to attach your fob, and the room inside means that I can also get at least 3 or 4 other keys in. I have been using the bag for a few weeks and not experienced any deterioration to the product or effectiveness of the bag.

Very effective faraday cage – I put the ‘key’ in it and stood next to the car – no response at all. Very impressed.
Smart and well made with a mini carabina on the back and an internal captive chain/keyring. And you get two pouches for the price – what’s not to like?

Having recently taken delivery of new car with keyless entry, I was advised by a police officer neighbour to search for a “Faraday Box” or similar item which could block the signal from my car key to prevent theft. The items were delivered the day after order placed, are good quality, well made, include a key chain for car key, and genuinely work – I tested it in the wallet and my car would not lock or unlock. Considering ordering similar items for my phone and cards. Highly recommended.

I would recommend this pouch if you want added piece of mind. It really works! Once the fob is in the pouch, the car won’t open and you get a message on your screen stating invalid key access.
I would have like it if the pouch was a bit smaller. Got the M and was surprise at its size but the most important thing is that it works

Good quality pouches – with two that’s ideal for the spare
Material is durable and is standing up well being in a handbag.
There is an attachment inside you can add the key to so as to prevent it from falling out if you are worried – although the Velcro is a good quality that is used to close the opening.

If you have a keyless entry car, get these faraday bags!

Sadly there are many reports of car thefts out there, often linked to keyless entry on vehicles. If you don’t take the right security measures to protect your car, your insurance may not pay out.

I’ve avoided keyless entry cars, but upon purchasing a new car recently, I didn’t get the option to avoid keyless entry. I was increasingly worried about some thieving b******s coming and nicking my motor, rather than going out and getting a job, that I started looking around for devices to help with protecting my car.

For some ease, and the fact we got locked down again, so I couldn’t go shopping, I turned to my trusty amazon account, and found these faraday bags. They work perfectly, and block the signals between the fob and the car, I know, I’ve tested it. So if you want to stop the car thieves from getting their five finger discounts on your cars, please please please, get a pair of these.

Good value for money, work as they should, and the car thieves hate them. Win Win!

If you’re a car thief, and you are reading this review… unlucky!

Tested these by walking up to my car with the keys safe inside one of the pouches. The car would not unlock until I took the key out of the pouch. Be aware that if your car key/fob is on a ring attached to lots of others, you might not be able to get it in one of these pouches as they are quite small so you might want to consider a bigger alternative. But if they’re big enough for your needs, I would definitely recommend them – good value.

I bought these pouches due to the number of positive reviews and great price and I’ve not been disappointed with my purchase. I actually think they’re a bit of a bargain actually having seen similar pouches advertised on Facebook for more than double the price. I’ve tested the pouch with my car and they worked a treat, they do exactly what they are intended to do. I also think they look quite smart and seem well made so all in all I’m happy to have bought them.

Smart looking pouches which seem well made, are easy to get the key in and out of, and have a handy loop for hanging on a key hook.

They seem to work too. With the key in the pouch, my i30N will not unlock even when standing right next to the car. With the car open, the car says the key is not present and won’t start, even with the key in the pouch sitting on the dash. This suggests it will offer good protection against a relay attack.

The second pouch is ideal for the spare key.

These arrived promptly and were exactly as described. They are good quality and good value Faraday pouches. They work as described – I put my key fob completely inside and tried using the buttons, and the car did not respond. The material is good and they look ok (I marked one star down because they are just plain pouches, functional but not particularly stylish). The addition of the chain attached from inside and the hook on the outside are useful and give another option for security of the key fob and ability to store and hang the pouch. My wife is unable to use them when she goes out as she refuses to take off all the hangy things on her key and, of course, it won’t all fit in the pouch. Overall, a good quality and good value pouch, which is more suited to use in the home rather than when out driving.

  27. HoraceCarpentie says:

Only had them a few days but seem durable enough. They do work, door won’t open when I am standing right next to the car, even pushed the buttons from outside of the pouch and still nothing so clearly blocks the signal.

You can’t get a door key in there as well but have attached these to the clip on the outside.

Its a bit fiddly and makes the keys even more bulky but you will get used to it and better than having the car stolen.

I bought these after reading about thefts of keyless cars. I unlocked my car, returned the keyfob to the Faraday pouch and tried to start the engine. Instantly, warning bleeps and a no key signal detected message appeared. The pouches just give a bit of reassurance.
I ordered the medium size. They seem well made, and are easier to find in my handbag than a loose keyfob,, which is an added bonus. I just hope the velcro fastening will last. Some reviews state that the pouches don’t work on some car models. Mine’s a Fiesta, and fingers crossed it works really well so far.

One of the main problems with keyless entry is for the signal from the keyfob being intercepted so thieves can steal your car. This Faraday bag sheilds the keyfob signal. It also allows you to walk pass the vehicle without it automaticaly opening when you do not need it too. It also keeps the keyfob from being marked or damaged while in your pocket or handbag.

Big enough for my car key fob and my two house keys that are attached. Anything more and you won’t be able to close the top.
Comes with a handy key chain or a clip. I hang the bags off my key hooks and pop my keys in as I get in the house.
Checked it works by walking around the car with the key in the bag and the car did not unlock.

Only thing not to like is it’s size but small price to pay for keeping your car keys safe. Works well, and completely stops any signal once keys are secured inside so good for peace of mind. Cracking value as you get two bags so both keys protected.

Used this for my partners remote key. I know there are a lot of thefts of cars with that technology at the moment done by emphasising the signal given off by the key. Well in this pouch they have no chance. My partner has tested it several times trying to open his car door while the key is with him and it will not open. Very impressed with the quality and the fact you get two makes it brilliant value for money.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThe pouch itself is great, seems good quality and fits smartkey snuggly. Velcro fastening at the top is good and strong. Belt/key clip is good and feels secure when locked onto keyring or belt loop into pocket. Think personally good value and good product especially for the price.
I would have given 5* however the little chain inside the pouch broke after a few uses but only on one pouch. The other one I bought is fine. I bought the smaller ones on offer so I could tell smartkey was in it and not missing/pickpocketed, as I said before the smartkey is a nice fit in this one but I suppose depends on your type of key.
Taking all into account so far I’d recommend.

The product is nicely designed and certainly looks good. The price is fairly reasonable as well. My only negative comment is that it comes in two sizes, both that I have. One is slightly small for the key that I have, whilst the other is too big to keep in my pocket. I think its an issue with the key rather than the product manufacturer. But totally happy and hope it works as intended.

It’s unfortunate this product is needed, however this is very reasonably priced. You get two pouches (same size) which have a key ring and chain from inside to attach to your car keys. This comes in handy as you can open the velcro opening, squeeze the pouch and out pop your key safely attached to the chain.

I tested if it really works by trying to open the car using the key fob whilst it was inside the pouch. To my delight the car did not unlock upon pressing the button !

Very effective, and would definitely recommend.

After buying a new performance car with a keyless entry, I was bothered about parking in public carparks and my car being stolen. I was advised by the dealership to buy a faraday pouch to protect my fob, and although the pouch is a little larger than I had expected, it has given me the peace of mind I needed. It has a keychain inside that you can attach your keys too or as I do, just slip the fob inside when its in my bag or at home. We even keep the spare fob in one so we feel very secure.

  40. Lauren Wiles says:

You really need to look at the discription of the product because it does exactly what they say it will do. It is a protection against cloning your keyless fob but once you place it inside the pouch you will not be able to open the car until you take it out which can be a bind but you get used to it.

Can’t recommend them enough, I expected about a months use at best!

These are small, but good quality.
Previous brand lasted 2 weeks, these are still working despite some banging around.

Yes it does work really well, in the pouch the car stays locked, when in the car (key in pouch) the car did not start.
The only thing i did not test was if unlock button was pressed when inside the pouch the car remained locked.

I’ve not marked durability yet as I’ve only had a week or so. I got small pouch and put fob inside and house keys on key ring outside. If you have a car with keyless entry you need one of this. Car thieves can hack keyless entry systems by using a sensitive radio detectot outside your home to detect the keyless fob inside, record its signals and replicate them to gain entry to your car. A Faraday cage is a metal cage that blocks a region of space from radio waves coming out or going in. This is a Faraday cage built into a small bag. The radio signals sent out by your fob are blocked until you take the car keys out of the bag.

It’s hard to know how effective it is without sophisticated engineering equipment but it’s inexpensive, easy to use and provides some peace of mind.

Ever since seeing the ways that keyless entry cars can be stolen with the keys inside your house, this type of product became a must. The items are well made and a set of keys even with a keyring / fob attached also fits pretty well. I have tried opening my car with the keys in the pouch in my hand, i.e. as close to the car as I can get them and I was unable to open the car so clear evidence that the pouch blocks the key signal. Definitely worth the price, which is also good value as you get two pouches.

As can be seen on the photo I can put all of the bunch of keys inside just leaving the key ring outside and closing the top with its Velcro fastener. Having bought a car with keyless entry we thought that these would be useful as we keep our car keys near the front door for convenience. The pouches block the signal even when you are standing up against the car with the keys so they seem to work very well.

The key I have is fairly large, but fits in the pouch well. My husband says the product is very good at blocking the car fob signal, but he was a bit surprised how big it was. As most people carry their house keys and car keys together this makes the whole thing rather bulky and difficult to fit in his trouser pocket. Ok for lady drivers with a handbag but maybe could be a little smaller for men.

Does the job. Car doesn’t unlock & lock or even start whilst the key is in the pouch. I’ve also noticed even if the key is sightly in the pouch or being shielded by it, it won’t unlock/lock or even start. Also, heads up for Mercedes (2019-2020) car owners, if you press lock button twice on the key, it disables the key, so it doesn’t transmit a signal and won’t lock/unlock the car. Only down side that I find, is that the pouch could be smaller or custom fitted for that brand of keys. By the time you add the house keys to it and other keys it is bulky. Which I now carry both seperate

It was a shock when our neighbour had their car stolen. I bought these to block anyone coding our car. The car fob fits inside, with a handy chain to pull it in and out. There is a clip on the back for the rest of my keys, which is useful. You have to take the fob out of the pouch completely to make it work. It blocks well. I have put it back once or twice and my dash comes up ‘ key not detected’. It really does work. My husband bought some too, ( great minds), but these were a much better standard.

I have cheaper ones that either lasted a few days or didn’t work. Have had these a few weeks and they are still working fine. Good design in that they allow you to keep other keys clipped to the outside of the pouch enabling just the car key to be on the inside. Also the chain inside the pouch is helpful in that the key is retained and doesn’t drop out. One small criticism is the clip on the chain on the outside is a bit flimsy. My wife’s one broke within a couple of days, but this hasn’t affected the protection the pouch gives to the car key.

For me this item was just what I needed and everything I expected. Tried a key Faraday case first but it sometimes did not work, a signal got through when closed and allowed the doors to unlock and open. Also I found the case version a bit big and clumsy to pop into the pocket. So I tried this Pouch version although it has a larger surface area its slimmer and easier to pop into a trouser, shirt or jacket pocket and much more comfortable. Also and more importantly the Faraday protection really works well so I feel this is a much more secure solution to the problems of theft. The Faraday Pouch has a belt loop clip at the back that works well and your key can be made secure by attaching it to a length of chain connected to the inside of the pouch. I highly recommend this product.

I read a Dail Mail article the other day saying if you put your keys for a vehicle with keyless start in a metal tin, then thieves could not boost the signal and get into your car. WRONG – Big fail, never trust a journalist. Waving the closed tin box with my key inside across my steering wheel enabled the engine to be started.

So I decided to get something that would work. These Faraday bags work. Did the same test, got message form my car saying “no key could be found”, the engine could not be started. SUCCESSS. I repeated this test mutliple times and am confident they work.

I chose these particular Faraday bag because they had an external catch to hang off a hook, as well as an internal keyring. They are big enough for my key fob + 3 other keys on my keyring + supermarket trolley coin attachment. I would recommend.

These bags were a replacement for an earlier set (different make) and were better value for money. Quality is good, enough room for keyless fob, and functions well. There is an internal chain to fix keys to etc but this just takes up space and I removed from both my bags, no real point in having this.

Would have given these bags straight 5 stars had it not been for the velcro closures, which always wear out and become ineffective very quickly, and these undoubtedly will do too. I know the bags are cheap to replace, but there must be something better than velcro to use. On the plus side, there is a useful spring clip hanger attached to these bags which I have found a useful feature few other manufacturers include.

Overall, a good buy and no hesitation in recommending.

Received these two pouches which appear to be robustly made. The internal and external key clips are super handy. First thing I did was put my car fob inside a pouch and went to test it. Standing next to the car holding the pouch on the car the car would not unlock. Only when I opened the pouch and shook the fob to the top of the open pouch did the car unlock. They do exactly what they claim and what is required. Have recommended to family and friends.

Read various reviews were people found these ineffective. All I can say is both of mine look great, well made and they both work extremely well just as they’re designed to, blocking all signal from key fobs. My keys are in and out of this every day, even right next to my car with key in pouch it doesn’t recognise anything at all. Would recommend on this basis for anyone considering. Any deterrent for a potential scum bag is a winner!!

    They do work!!!

This Faraday bag is well made, & more importantly, it works. If you have your keys inside & stand right next to your car, the doors won’t open.
Having an inner key ring & an outer hook to attach to your belt or bag is very welcome. Previous bags I’ve purchased from another company were the same price as these, but didn’t have the key ring & hook & weren’t as well made.
Protecting your car from having your key cloned for such a small price is a no brainer.
There are two bags supplied, don’t forget to put your spare car keys in the other one!

Very good quality bags, well made, strong and excellent value, but slightly tight for fat car keys. There’s a nice
attachment to hang the bag up and there’s a key ring on a chain inside the bag if you want to keep the keys with the bag when you take them out, I don’t so I tucked this away inside the bag as I suspected it might act as a signal aerial if left dangling outside. 1 star off for the tightness and the pointless key ring inside.

This is a first class product. I tested it by trying to start my car with te key in the pouch. Whoops is didn’t work and that was great. I also find it useful for keeping my credit card in whilst shopping so it can’t be scanned which in these times is a bonus. I feel very safe now knowing that those two things are safe. If you are looking for a keyless car safety pouch look no further this is the one and an extra bonus you get 2. What’s not to like.

The pouch is too big for the digital car key I have and does not fit in my trouser pocket with comfort. At the moment the key remains in the pocket. The key has to be out of the pouch to operate the car so therefore the pouch becomes another large item to store when driving. A smaller pouch with the key may be left in the pocket when driving. The quality of the pouch is very good. The practicality does not appear to have been a consideration in the design. The advert does not show dimensions of the pouch. Not happy with the purchase apart for the spare key kept at home. Perhaps future design should contain a small and large pouch for driving and storage respectively.

Excellent product. Works well, my key fob fails to operate whilst inside of the pouch.

I’ve read a few reviews on here saying the stitching is of poor quality. I don’t know if this is strictly true, but I could potentially see the key chain holder coming loose if you plan to attach your key and keep it attached.

However, the pouch will be staying in my house and the key will be taken in and out when I need my key. So therefore, I am not bothered about the key chain stitching.

The pouch works. That’s the most important thing.

For reference, a pouch fits one fob. My fob is a new style comfort access BMW fob, and it’s just enough space.

I’ve also read that apparently these pouches stop working.
I don’t know the mechanics behind this or if the materials have a shelf life, but as long as the thing isn’t abused I cannot see this being an issue.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought these as my new car has keyless entry and emitts a permanent signal which as you know can be copied and your car can be taken.

These seem to work perfectly in blocking the signal, as the car will not open if the key is inside the pouch and will not start either as I have tried.

They are reasonable quality for the price and work as you’d expect.

This wallet is just the right size for my car key and I attach house keys to the back. I have been using these for several months and they are still in good condition despite being thrown in the bottom of my backpack or bag. The signal blocking actually works very well. The chain inside is very handy to prevent the car key being lost. I would have liked a similar style with the chain and also space to insert my house keys such as another slot or space at the back. However, very good overall.

The pouch does block the signal given off from the key. I tried it out when sitting in the vehicle with the the key in the pouch & with the flap pressed closed. I tried to start the car, it wouldn’t start. Once I took it out of the pouch, I was able to start the vehicle. So yes it does the job. I gave a score of 4/5 only because I thought the pouch was a bit larger than I would have liked. It would also have been useful if it had a loop to be able to fit on to a belt. As for the question of durability, I have only had it a week but it seems well made. As for the service from the seller, it was very good. I ordered it on a Saturday afternoon & received it by Tuesday morning.

Had a spate of vehicles being taken locally especially high end cars by scum taking others people hard earned cars by using devices to scan your house for car key codes. So thought this may protect my car. These are a good size and you get 2 so make sure you also keep your spare key inside 1 of these. Difficult to tell if they are really effective without having one of the scanners yourself to test or see if your car is stolen whilst the keys are inside these pouches. Best to get a steering wheel lock as well as this seems to deter the scum from attempting to take your car as they tend to look for easier targets. Small price to pay if this item does prevent your key code from being stolen.

After more and more reports of thefts in my local area of cars that were keyless entry, I decided to have a look at what was available. I decided on this product based on the other reviews and the price. Very reasonable and they work as described. I tested both bags with both keys and they both performed as expected-nothing happened! Standing right next to my car and no signals got through with the keys in the bag. Very pleased.
The only downside I can possibly think of is that if you keep your car keys with lots of other keys or key rings that you won’t be able to get them all in a bag. Basically, the remote fob and a single key ring, like a car manufacturer or garage fob, will be ok. Anymore than this and you will struggle to fold the end over and seal it.
However the price of a stolen car against a reorganised car key key ring is a no brainer!
    Would recommend

Rather than continue to use jury rigged protection system I thought I would use this RFID Faraday bag. It looks smart but what I really wanted to know was does it work. That is will it protect my almost new key-less entry car. Answer seems to be yes…. not that I have had a line of rouges trying to brake into my pride and joy as far as I can tell.

My wife and I put the locking / security system through every scenario we could think of and a few that came from the experts. Very test gave us the safe results we had hoped for.

Now while that is good we all know that the bad guys are always working on something new so every few days we check the bag is still doing what it should and has no holes or warn bits. So far so good.

It seems to work as it is supposed to. I’ve tried to open the car with the key still in the pouch, but it won’t have it. The previous pouch, which was purchased at the popular High Street motorist & cycle shop (Black and Orange logo, beginning with ‘H’) was totally useless. I could open my car and start the engine without even removing the key from the pouch.
I have to admit that the main reason I chose this one over the many others on Amazon is the fact that this one has the ring and chain attached. My key is permanently attached to the pouch and gets tucked away inside once the car is locked. At night, I keep the pouch inside a Faraday Box, so it is doubly protected. That car cost me a lot of money, so I’m looking after it the best I can.
I cannot comment on how robust this pouch is yet, because I’ve only been using it for a few weeks, but it looks pretty well constructed, so fingers crossed.
You won’t get a whole bunch of keys inside this pouch, just your car key, but there is an external carabiner style clip on which to attach your other keys. I choose to keep them separate.

I just bought a keyless entry car and didn’t quite know how this whole keyless thing would pan out. Do I get a puch or a box, is it a faff and so on.
I decided on the pouches as you get two, one for your spare and one for your main key. I found the best way to do it was keep the car key separate from the rest of the keys and just pop it out of the pouch and put it in your pocket when going out.
The pouch would probably take 4 or 5 keys but the single key is by far the easiest method. I have stood next to car with the key in the pouch and the car would not unlock, so it works.
The pouch itself looks neat and has a snap hook on the back and a small chain on the inside to attach your key. I don’t use either and will probably remove both at some point.
I’m very happy with this new method to take on and it works well. Just separate your car key and square it in a (zippable?) pocket because, let’s face it you don’t need it, and keep the keys you do use (house etc) in another pocket.

Was a bit dubious as to whether they actually work well but figured they were worth a shot. The cost of the pouches was insignificant to the cost of my car. They arrive and we religiously store our keys in them but never actually tested them. Fast forward a month, I unlock the car replacing the key in the pouch and press start in the car. It tells me no key is present and the car won’t start. Takes me a minute to realise the key is the pouch. So obviously it works. How long it will last is unknown as I don’t know if constantly putting the key in and out will damage the material and therefore prevent it from working. However I will be testing it regularly from now on and would purchase another if/when that time comes. The small price is worth the peace of mind that it adds another level of security for my car.

  78. Anonymous says:

This pouch is meant to block the signal from your car key fob to your car. This means that once you’ve locked it, you can slip the fob into the pouch, stop the signal to the car and walk away knowing that your car is securely locked. When you return to the car, you take out the fob to reconnect to the car, which allows you to just pull on the driver’s door handle and the door will open – no need even to press the ‘Open’ icon on the key fob. For this modest price, I feel happier that I’m in charge of the connection between the fob and the car, and that nobody else can intercept that signal. The pouch works just fine.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI am impressed by the quality of the pouches. I like the finish the carbon fibre against the red stitching is modern and good looking. My Audi keys fit perfectly, one in each pouch. I found a small chain and key ring in the pouch. This is not necessary in my view unless it is a quick release as I wouldn’t want the pouch dangling from the key but a nice touch for anyone that has a use for it? There has been a recent spate of car thefts in our area where scanners have been used. These give me Some piece of mind as I wouldn’t want to be the next victim.

Edit: A few months later, following a recommendation to a family member I have now made a subsequent purchase on their behalf. We now have 4 keys secured and 2 cars protected.

Does the job of isolating the key fob and at a lower price than many competitors. It is quite small, big enough to hold the key fob and stick in another small bag if travelling. I mainly want to use this to secure keys at home to prevent car theft from outside the house and the case isn’t big enough to accommodate key rings and other clutter which is annoying. I would personally like something a little bigger since I ddont want to sue it outside the house.

I can’t comment on overall quality as I’ve only had it a few weeks so time will tell how it stands up to daily use but at this price I’m happy to replace as needed. The attachment of a small carabiner allows it to be attached to a trouser belt for extra security. The problem lies in where to put it in the car while driving as the key has to be outside the pouch. On the plus side, it’s bigger than many, which means it has no problem swallowing today’s ubiquitous ‘smart keys’ with a keyring attached, where others struggle.
