The large Renault Mgane E-tech key fob fits easily into this Faraday case. Completely blocks the signal whereby it is impossible to open the car or start the motor once the fob is inside the case. Highly recommended. Also remember that this pack contains 2 of the units. Great value.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe small pouch was just big enough for my key-fob with two house keys attached. The screening material was long enough to fold together when the pouch flap was closed, thus providing a completely screened enclosure around the key-fob. With the key-fob inside the pouch, when beside the car the car door could not be unlocked and when inside the car no key recognition was detected. This pouch performed very well and is excellent value for money.

RFID definitely works as left the key inside once while trying to start the car and had a notification there was no key in the car.

It is quite big and I wouldn’t recommend getting one any bigger than this. The velcro could be a bit stronger and believe this is the weakest part of the whole item.

I chose the small pouches as they looked about right for my Kia Keys. They are snug and if you have any other keys on the keyring then i would suggest the next size up. I only have my car key and they fit like a glove.

In this day and age – you have to protect your personal possessions and this is a great idea for the new types of electric gadgets to open your cars. Also PLEASE don’t leave all your door and car keys on a tray by the front door – easy to get to and now with the things thieves have they can transfer the electronic details to their own gadget to open your car.

The pouches blocked the signal from the key fob to the car so one can assume it will also block any incoming transmission. The chain inside the pouch is useful to attach the key; allows you to invert the pouch and shake the key out which is great when you only have one hand free!

The pouch is good and does it’s job. I bought a set of two. One for the main remote and another for the spare. Had to buy another set a year after I bought the first set cos one pouch stopped working! I could still open the car door with the key sealed inside the pouch. The replacement works fine, but I guess I’ll be using the second of the new set next year.

This case lasted me about 6 months before having to replace it. The material inside that blocks the signal must degrade over time as it’s bent and put in pockets and opened and closed as the material is quite thin as this is a portable faraday case. Definitely worth buying for when your out and about but i always put it inside a faraday box when I’m home.

Bought pouch to block car-key signal. I had the car-key out to unlock the vehicle and then put the key back in the pouch and vehicle wouldn’t start as couldn’t detect the key signal so seems to work well so far. I have read reviews that the pouches become less effective over time so will test this out regularly to check it’s still secure.

Yes it does my latest car isn’t keyless entry but keyless start, so dropped key back in pouch inside car and car would not start , so leave key outside pouch or car will not start. So pouch is doing it’s job, nice little chain to keep key attached to pouch when inside pouch so when you open pouch you don’t drop key fob on floor. Overall great job would definitely recommend

I bought these pouches to protect my new car from being half inched off the driveway. I get that thieves may just try and break into the house to nick the keys if they’re hellbent on taking your car, but I have a porch door that they would have to get through and then also the front door and I’d hope that’s also a deterrent to some extent.

Anyway! I have tested these pouches from within the house by trying to press the door unlock button while the fob is in the pouch and the car doesn’t respond at all. I have also sat in the car with the fob in the pouch and tried to use the keyless start button to turn the engine on, and still no response.

Now I carry one pouch with me for when I leave the car parked away from home, and keep the other one at home.

So with my limited (read: zero) experience of stealing cars, I would say that these pouches work to at least some extent and give you that peace of mind that you’re not making it easy for any would-be car thief who rocks up at your house or place of work, or wherever you may be.

The only negative I would point out is that the pouches are small so I have separated my house keys from my car key in order to fit the fob in the pouch by itself. It would be handy if the pouch was big enough to store your whole set of keys inside.

  54. ChristyChilders says:

I wanted a Faraday pouch that would hold all my keys, not just car key, in one place and this pouch does just that thing. I tested it in the usual manner; I opened my car, put the keys in the pouch, and pressed the starter. The car computer gave me the message “key not found” which tells me that it is a secure pouch. It would be useful for people who use more than one vehicle, though I gave the other pouch to my wife for her car keys. I am very pleased with the product….

Skoda Soon after I bought (second-hand) Octavia Estate hybrid with keyless fob I couldn’t open the car door so had to call out Skoda Assist. SA person couldn’t get the key inside the fob to unlock the door so had to remove the small cover on the door handle to access the lock. Having got into car, undid the bonnet, jump leads to start the engine and run tests on the car battery, the conclusion was that the battery charge had been depleted. SA person said it is impossible to identify the cause, it could be anything. All we could think of was that the day before I had sat in the car for 2 hours listening to music with the engine switched off and the drive home wasn’t long enough to recharge the battery. SA man said I should switch on the engine with the cockpit ‘ready’ displaying in future. Subsequently a Skoda dealer told me that if the keyless fob is kept less than about 3m from the car almost regardless of where the fob is in relation to the car a red light on the fob is likely to flash intermittently as a security feature. So now whenever I want to listen to music I have the engine on, display ready. However, when not in the car but less than 3m away in a room whose outside wall is parallel to the car keeping the fob inside this pouch has solved the problem, provided I ensure the pouch flap firmly affixed to the velcro. To test, I hold the pouch with fob inside next to the car and try to open the door.

The faraday pouch safely & tidily stores the key for my car. The one thing I have found is that if the key gets stuck in the pouch, don’t pull on the chain as it is likely to come apart, just hold the pouch upside down and squeeze the sides opening the top of the pouch and the key should fall out into your hand. Luckily for me the chain broke on the first link so it was no effort to repair it.

Nice to have 2 pouches in a set so that you can protect your spare key fob too if you have one. The pouch is well made and I have no doubt that when fully closed it will stop any signals from your key fob. I dropped a star for the sizing – I originally ordered a small size as the description says the pouch will fit one key fob, and listed my make of car. While this is true, if you have any sort of key ring or other attachment on your fob, it won’t fit. The pouch is quite small, fairly rigid, and wouldn’t close no matter how I squeezed my small trolley-coin key ring in so I had to re order a medium size, which only just fits a key fob and key ring in. But otherwise a good well made product.

Looks good key fits in well with lots of room ( not if you have a keyfob attached )
Hard to say how well it works you’ll just have to take the manufacturers word on it, unless your vehicle is taken and the key was in the pouch at the time

  64. Robert Knight says:

     United Kingdom

Most importantly, it actually works. I have tested it with my car key inside the pouch and it does block the signal as intended. Also it’s been well designed. The pouch has a key ring on both the outside and inside, so you can attach to your belt loops if you want, or attach the key to the pouch to avoid dropping it. So all in all, it’s very usable and would prevent a car thief from detecting your car key’s signal and stealing your car. I can’t fault it!

  65. EnriqueLFF says:

Well, yes rather good, actually. Especially at the price. I did a simple test by leaving the key inside the pouch and the car was unable to read it. Neat, simple nice looking, well made and functional. Can’t think of a reason not to recommend.

Keep forgetting to leave my car key out of the pouch when I get in the car, & then wonder why it won’t start. LOL. I purchased this after an attempted theft of my nephews Mercedes car, and thought I’d better protect my run of the mill Ford Focus. Apparently Focus cars are high on the list for this form of theft! Anyway, I placed my keyfob in the pouch and walked right up to the car and nothing! It is so good at blocking the signals that the Apple tag attached to it went mental when I took it out after a day of being in the pouch. There are two in the package, perfect of you have a spare fob, because you need to protect that one too! I now always keep my keys (excluding the apple tag) in this pouch.

I’ve been using this for a while now, obviously how effective it is I’m not sure, my car has yet to be stolen. One dislike is how big it is, does not fit into back pocket of jeans and once you add more keys to car key fob, it’s not easy to close pouch.
BUT, you would rather have it then not 🙂

Got this for my new Volvo which has passive unlock/keyless start, because I wanted something compact enough to fit in my trouser or jeans pocket without being too bulky, yet large enough to fit the standard Volvo key fob. This works absolutely perfectly. The little chain keeps the key connected to the wallet, and when the fob is fully tucked down the wallet, the Velcro enclosure fastens securely to make a neat package for your pocket. I fastened a little mini-Velcro cable tie so that I could easily fish the key out of the wallet and put the opened assembly back in my pocket to unlock and drive my car. Does the job in shielding the key as i can’t unlock the car with the key sheathed. The product is quite reasonably priced and comes in a two-pack which is nice because most cars come with two key fobs. Strongly recommended.

Seeing a story on TV regarding the latest high tech ways of ‘car-napping’, I invested in these pouches. For ‘test purposes’ I unlocked the car with the fob, placed it back into the pouch and with it, got in closing the door behind me. Leaving the fob in the pouch I pressed the start button. Nothing – the electronics of the car remained dormant. Removing the fob and once again pressing the start button, everything came to life. Now, what I would say, I’m no ‘tech wizzard’ so not knowing if by replacing the fob into the pouch this would ‘throw a spanner in the works’ and effect the car’s systems whilst driving along, I left it out of the pouch and was off on my merry way – Excellent !

I was advised to purchase one of these Faraday key protectors but was very sceptical as to if they really did work. This one certainly does block the signal from your key to the car. I kept the key in the case and walked up to my car to use keyless entry and the doors would not unlock. As soon as I removed the key from the pouch I was able to unlock the door via keyless entry. Once in the car I placed the key back into the pouch & attempted to start the vehicle in which I could not, had a message on dashboard stating “Key not detected”
As soon as I removed the key I was able to start the vehicle. The quality of the pouch is good with a keyring on a chain to prevent your key from falling out, not that it will as the top flap secures very well. Also on the outside of the pouch is another key ring to attach your house keys so your not carrying around 2 separate keyrings. I rate this 10/10 for both security & quality.

Does what it supposed to do. It’s made really well although the pouch is a little ‘tight’ in fit for a key fob. I agree with other sellers, the chain on the inside pocket is a bit weak – so you need to be a bit careful pulling the key fob out. I attached my keys on the ring on the outside, and that’s OK for me. May not suit everyone though. On reflection, perhaps the larger one would have been better, but I can manage.

First time we have needed one of these as our cars have always had the traditional key. This one seemed to be a good one in general, so thought we would give it a go.
Have had them approximately a month of near enough constant use and so far so good. Well made and a Quashqai fob fits it perfectly.

This is a sturdy product and with the keys in the pounch the car will not open. I tried it ! The pouch could do with being a little wider as I had ti edit the items on my key ring to get both the car key and the garage door fob in.

There is a ring on a chain sown into the pouch but this is useless unless you can cope with the pouch hanging down from the key (which must be out of the pouch for the car to start. Delet this and give me 1 cm extra width.

A good product that I have been looking for over the last 12 months.

Bought these after hearing that thieves can intercept the key (keyless car entry) in your bag/pocket the same way they do with bank cards so decided to buy some for ourselves and daughter. Neat pouches makes it easier to carry the fob on their own. Put the spare keys in the 2nd pouch. Would definitely recommend

Does what it says it’ll do. You can be in the car with the key in the pouch, and the car will be unable to find the signal.

I bought the larger version, which is a bit too big.

It would have been better if they had an option to include two different sizes in the pack.

Wondered if they did actually work. I dropped my wife off in town and as I’m driving off the warning on the dash told me i was out of range of my key. I realised that my key was in the pouch in my pocket and the car had been using wife’s key which was in her bag not in the pouch. So yes they do work, if a little too large.

Handy place to keep your keys at night, blocks all signal from remote to vehicle. I stood next to my vehicle with my keys in pouch and my key less entry didn’t work until I took the keys out of the pouch. Good product, would recommend

Bought these with some skepticism. I bought 4 (2 packs of 2) because I have a car and motorbike, both keyless. When they arrived I put the keys in and as a test stood next to both vehicles. Neither saw the keys while they were in the pouch even though I was stood right next to the vehicles. I opened the flap on the pouch and still not recognised. Not until I pulled the keys out of the pouch did the vehicles recognise their keys. I was surprised.

The pouches themselves are OK looking. Functional more than stylish. I do not like the metal hook on the back and would prefer not to have it. After all these pouches are mostly just going to sit in the draw at home. Not while I’m driving or out and about.

Basically fair price for something that actually works.

Despite being really cheap, these work great.

With key in pouch, car won’t recognise the key, even when standing right next to it.

Once I’d unlocked the car and got in, put key back in pouch and car wouldn’t turn over as ‘key out of range’.

These are really good. Just means they have to break in and steal the keys now

Our new car (2021 Mini) has proximity keys & as we all know – these can be a security risk…

We had a4 year old alleged faraday pouch from our previous Mini.
It seemed to work with the keys for that car – but spectacularly failed for the new car!

So after looking at feedback decided to buy the “Ironstripe Car Key Signal Blocker Extra Large Faraday Box” and also “Lanpard 2 Pack Faraday Bag Medium”.

In testing – with both products I couldn’t open the car door while being right next to it :0).

    Both products seem well made.
Lanpard pouches are a good cozy fit for Mini keys – perfect size.
Ironstripe Box is well made & a good size. The catch is a bit fiddly, but I dare say it’d wear in.

Now happy and feeling much safer! Blessings, Do

My key fob is faulty, randomly putting all my car windows down which, apart from security is a pain if its raining!. With the key in the pouch the signal can’t get to the car and problem solved until I can get an new key programed. Would definitely recommend.

Bought the small pouch so it could fit in my pocket. With key fob still attached to the key ring you can’t close the pouch, however it still works even if the pouch is open. Tried unlocking the car etc and it won’t when the key is in the pouch. Bought these to keep my key and spare key secure from signal theft when not being used

This product really is excellent! Works perfectly, material is really well made.
I put the key in the pouch, walked right up next to the car and the keyless entry failed. It worked as soon as i took the key out of the pouch. So good I gave one to my neighbour who had his last car stolen by people boosting the keyless entry sifnal via computer programme.
THIS PRODUCT REALLY DOES BLOCK ALL SIGNALS!!
No chance of getting your car nicked by boosting the signal with these pouches.. if you have a keyless entry car GET ONE!!

Tested by approaching car with keys in pouch in my pocket, pressed the unlock button on the door. Car was NOPE. Then took the keys out of the pouch, pressed the button again. Car unlocked. This test proves it works, I can’t tell if it is blocking the signal altogether or just attenuating it so much the car isn’t having it, hence does it provide total protection against thieves I don’t know, but it definitely helps.

Does work perfectly though works best when the key fob is placed in headlong I.e. the fob should be pushed down properly into the pouch.

The only down side is the chain inside the pouch which you can attach your key fob to breaks easily. But you don’t necessarily have to have the fob attached to it.

    Would recommend

The 2-pack Faraday bag for my car keys was very competitively priced and so far does the job well.

On occasion, I have forgotten to remove the key from the bag so have been prevented from opening or operating the vehicle, indicating that the key is well protected.

Quality and durability will only be proven after the key bag has been used for 12-months or more and as this has been a very recent purchase, it is too early to comment on these. Notwithstanding, if it were to fail, I would consider buying an identical item, given the price.

Does the job but what a royal pain in the proverbial that this is even needed!

I’d rather there was some way to just disable the comfort key so that I didn’t have to carry it in a pouch.

That said, this pouch is good quality and the small version is big enough to hold a single key but can also fit comfortably in jeans pocket without creating too much bulge.

The chain inside the pouch is a really handy feature as it makes it easier to get the key out of the pouch without having to worry that it might fall to the ground.

It does the job of blocking the signal. I guess I get to test that from time to time when I forget to take the key out and of course the car doesn’t open!

    Does the job

Size is okay for a remote key on its own but could be an issue if you have the key on a keyring. The chain to attach the key to the case is a good idea and the external clip is also useful. Seems effective in stopping the signal from the key getting to the car as required. Happy with purchase and price paid.

Look strong and sturdy. But I would have liked these to be wider as they’re barely big enough or malleable enough for a car “fob” with any other keys attached to go in comfortably and then for the flap to be closed over them. It should be easier for the keys to be put in and taken out.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI became concerned after cars were stolen recently off drives using key-relay techniques.

These pouches block the signal emitted from the key thus preventing theft via this method.

    They work perfectly.
