Saved us money!
The app could use a redesign. But other than that this little gadget saved me a packet in a dispute over insulation quality of some windows we had fitted. We could show where the heat leaks where. Brilliant!

Picture quality is as advertised and may be of lesser overall pixel count compared to the “pro” version but is more than adequate for amateur and do it yourself around the home work to identify poorly insulated or in my case an uninsulated crawl space that was causing one side of the house to be very cold.
Negative: disconnected from the phone after a minute sometimes and required me to unplug and re-plug it and after that works as described.
I was very iffy about ordering this after reading the scores of bad reviews, but at least so far, it's worked quite well for me. I guess we'll see how it holds up long-term. I was able to diagnose a leak and get it taken care of, as well as take some cool photos (geothermal water features around town). The only issue so far is my phone will occasionally freeze. Not sure if fue to the hardware or the app, but it rights itself after about a minute. Not bad at all for the price, and it'll probably save me a good deal of money not having to pay insurance deductible. This is a handy thing to have around; I hope it lasts.

Worth the money for a top brand FLIR camera
Quality FLIR camera for the price. Does everything I’d expected for a ‘home use’ thermal camera.
It needs to be handled with care as you’d expect for a mobile plug in type camera.
Decent iR camera, especially for the price
It would be nice if the temp range was larger, but for the price I cannot complain. The battery life isn’t great, but it’s plenty for a basic job or for personal/home use. The telescoping lightning connector is a nice touch, preventing having to remove the case from the phone before use. The software works well and is easy to get.
If you’re looking for an iR cam for home use or small job use, to find insulations leaks and the like, this is a worthwhile option.

Great item, already worked out where I have drafts coming in on the front door and the kitchen window, it’s a big outlay but it will pay for its pretty soon by letting me know where I need to seal areas prone to drafts and save on my heating bill.
I have 1 recommendation, look at the picture of my camera in its case, you will see I have cut foam away where the usbc is, this stops you having to retract the USB every time you put it back in the case, also you will see i have removed foam where the switch is, this stops the button being pressed when your putting it back in the case and the battery going flat, I’ve not charged mine for about 3 months and I use it about 2 minutes a day 5 days a week.
This is not a professional grade device, but good enough for home repairs.
Battery life is quite short, so make ready what you want to examine and charge your camera full. There is also small offset between the real and thermal picture but it’s acceptable. Other than that it served the purpose I bought it for.

I’m a big DIYer and this is a nice tool to have for checking for thermal loss. I used it to help me insulate my crawlspace and it did the job. I’m glad I went with the pro because while the picture is not as clear as I’d like (I know there are superior products for way more money), it’s at least decent compared to the reviews that I saw on YouTube for the lower end versions of this product. Nice tool to have for a DIYer who really wants to know what’s going on in their home.
Buona termocamere entry level venduta in 3 modelli con differenze anche sostanziali (vd sotto).
In tutti i casi la termocamera accoppiata con una fotocamera (di risoluzione molto maggiore) e combina le due immagini in modo da rendere l’immagine pi dettagliata. Si attacca alla porta (microUSB, USB-C o lightning, attenzione a prendere quella giusta) dello smartphone con un connettore di lunghezza adattabile in modo da farla aderire bene. L’app molto semplice e funzionale. L’immagine mostra i contorni dettagliati degli oggetti (presi con fotocamera) combinata con mappa a colori della temperatura (presa da termocamera) e il risultato sicuramente migliore della risoluzione modesta della termocamera. possibile scegliere tra diverse palette di colori ed il range di temperatura si adatta dinamicamente all’oggetto inquadrato. L’app permette anche di avere una misura locale della temperatura in un punto dell’immagine (come mostrato nella foto di un forno con focaccia).
DIFFERENZE TRA I 3 MODELLI
La differenza principale (a parte il prezzo) tra la ONE, la ONE PRO LT e la ONE PRO nella risoluzione e nel range della termocamera:
Risoluzione fotocamera: 1440×1080 (tutti i modelli)
Risoluzione termocamera: 80×60 (ONE e ONE PRO LT), 160×120 (ONE PRO)
Range misurazione termperatura: -20 / +120 C (ONE e ONE PRO LT), -20 / +400 C (ONE PRO, in due range diversi settabili dall’app).
Il prezzo sale dai 250 E circa (ONE) a 310 E (PRO LT) fino a 450 E (PRO).
CONCLUSIONE
La FLIR ONE e la FLIR ONE PRO LT sono praticamente identiche quindi suggerisco la ONE che pi economica. Se volete risoluzione e range di misurazione maggiore la ONE PRO fa al caso vostro (ma a costo quasi doppio).
Attenzione: non vero, come dice qualche recensione, che la ONE PRO non misura oltre i 120 C: bisogna settare il range superiore sull’app e la misura arriva fino a +400 C.
Godsend for underfloor heating repai
Using a flir one to DIY locate MULTIPLE water leaks/burst on underfloor heating after winter power loss mishap in house in Finland. Everything was hard frozen and have used to detect, locate and allow repair of over 10 bursts under tile and about 3-7cm of screed. I am considering the Flir One pro to finish the job but for me MSX is essential as i pull back to take pictures froma as far as i can with markers (duct tape) on the floor to help locate the problems later (digging holes and repair). Starting with a cold floor i flushed warm water through the system and the heat showed maximally from 15-45mins – after that had to leave to cool for at least 24h – saved me ripping the whole floor ou

I really like how compact this product is. It was easy to set up using the app and my iPhone. For the price, the image could be a bit clearer but you can definitely see heat disperse in areas to look out for especially for heating pipes as you can see from my house although I already had an incline where these were. I would recommend this product.

Very useful for carrying out building services inspection and building surveys. Very small size that easily fits in a pocket and when coupled to the iPhone X max provides a large image that is easily transferable to PC files for inclusion in reports and printing. Image quality not quite up to standard of IR cameras costing 3 times the price but still adequate for the purpose. The FLIR app works well on the iPhone with the FLIR PRO LT camera. Very useful, good value, recommended.

This is a really cool device. Instead of a very expensive hi-res IR sensor, they combine the IR sensor with a regular camera, and overlay a wireframe of the visible light image over the IR image. The result is an affordable device for homeowners and hobbyists. This works great for testing for leaks around windows/doors. (Note that it displays relative temps, not actual ones. If you’re planning to use this to screen people for COVID-19, talk to an actual medical professional first.).
It easily found a gap in the base cabinet allowing air in from the walls, and verified a leak in a window seal that I knew about. It also shows you waste energy usage: my Xbox One shows up bright orange in standby mode, compared to my other devices.
The only downside is you have to charge it separately — it can’t draw power from the phone. (This makes sense, otherwise it would drain your phone battery really fast.)

This could be a good thing or bad thing, but either way your silent but deadly secrets are kept safe on screen.
Now that I’ve got that out….
The Pro version is worth it, even for the average joe. The Standard version is just so limited.
This is a great little camera, especially for the money. The coolest feature that surprised me is the fact all the temperature data is stored with the photo, so after one photo is taken of an area, you do not need to take any more. Go in to the gallery, and play all you want. It automatically saves a copy to your photo gallery, making it easy to share images just like any other photo.
Bandpass filtering lets you adjust a min and max temperature however you see fit, then you can drag the whole band up and down the temperature scale. For example, if you’re filming a car engine, you can set your band to 80–100F to start (a 20F band). Once the engine gets hot, swipe up and it will move the band up (to something like 85-105).
This thing will detect my cat’s footprints after he walks by, provided you configure the settings correctly.
The fact you can switch between a regular photo image, thermal image, or a combination is so freaking useful for identifying thermal artifacts in an image. Case in point, figuring out those spots on the floor were my cat’s paw prints.
My biggest worry was the low resolution, but I wasn’t fully understanding what it meant. The CAMERA resolution is pretty good, the THERMAL resolution is the one that looks horrible, but when it comes together, you realize the thermal image resolution looks plenty fine when it’s overlaid on the regular photo.
This also has linked software foe troubleshooting home heating and air conditioning. Awesome.

They work really well and what is best you can easily send the footage straight from your phone to the relevant person.
Brilliant piece of ki
Got it, charged it up and started using it in 5 minutes on my pixel 4. Works perfectly. Helped me trace plumbing in my walls (it shows up hot pipes behind walls easily, once they’ve been warm for a little while). You can also trace pipes under the floor in the same way. Leaks look like big puddles! It’s brilliant for checking radiator function, too. When a radiator turns on, the heat should be spread evenly throughout. If you have cold corners then you have problems. This makes it super easy to identify such issues at a glance scientifically. It’s pricey, but for me it’s worth it so I can accurately find and fix plumbing problems that would be much more costly to investigate otherwise.
Worth every penny!

Ich habe mich fr die Flir One Pro LT entschieden, auf meinem Huawei Mate 10 Pro. Gert ausgepackt, App installiert, Gert angehngt und eingschaltet. Die Software startet von selbst, kann aber etwas dauern. (ca. 15s).
Man sieht sofort die Thermobilder. Ob diese nun geeicht sind oder nicht, ist fr meinen Bedarf nicht wichtig. Wichtig war mir, da ich sehe wo die Wrme “abhaut”, und das sieht man ganz gut, ohne groe Schnrkeleien.

I have to say I was a but sceptical about a plug in device for a mobile and I did a fair bit of research into the different models and brands.
Figured I’d go with the FLIR brand as it’s recognised and the image quality seemed to be better.
Overall, it’s a great bit of kit. The original interface is easier to use than the beta one that automatically loads up with the app but this can be switched back quite simply.
It’s really easy to set up and start using as well.
Really useful for Inspections and it has helped me identify defects that I wouldn’t have been able to see without it.
I’d definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking into getting one.

Ich bin mit der Cam absolut zufrieden. Habe diese am Samsung S10 angeschlossen.
Fr meine Hobbybereich und auch um bei Kunden mal spontan das Haus zu kontrollieren ein tolles Gert.
Natrlich sind die Einzelgerte ber 500 Euro besser und fr den Profieinsatz besser, jedoch ist dieses fr seine Gre und einfache Anwendung am Handy in der Preisklasse einfach spitze.
Kann es auf jeden Fall empfehlen.
Wer es profimssig einsetzt, sollte zu den sehr teuren wechseln. Aber frs mal schnell kontrollieren ist dieses hier vllig ausreichend

Sehr gut brauchbar funktioniert jedoch nur oberflchlich und nicht bei Stromkabeln in der Wand. Ein Installieren der App ist erforderlich jedoch schnell erledigt. Die App funktioniert gut mit dem Adapter doch ist es ratsam die IPhone Hlle weg zu lassen wenn man das Flier One benutzt. On voit immdiatement les ponts thermiques et les diffrences de temprature, et la batterie tient le choc.
Attention cependant, tout ce qui est bleu n’est pas un pont thermique, cf impact des matires.
I had a tough time deciding on whether to spend the extra money to buy the higher priced version. Glad I didn’t because the quality of the image was good enough on the cheaper one. I guess if you are in the construction/Handyman business, you may benefit from a higher resolution. I only wanted it to find hot/cold spots in the walls and ceiling to see if my new home had any missing insulation or excessive draft areas. Was able to find several issues that were fairly easy to correct and eliminated the draft or cold/hot spot.
As a side benefit, I learned that the area around base moulding on walls that back to the exterior have near zero insulation and cause more cold air to seep into a room then windows! The coldest areas of my house are along the base moulding. Makes sense I guess since there is nothing but wood around that area and no room for insulation. Now if someone would just invent insulated, detachable base moulding covers that I can attach during the winter, I could eliminate the cold floors…

This camera works well. Its important to make sure you select the correct one for your phone as there is a difference between iOS and Android. It has its own battery which allows it to not drain your phone battery. ITs adjustable neck also allows it to be mounted on any phone regardless of the size of the case.

For the price, this is a neat little tool. It does run through its battery pretty fast (under an hour). but it also charges pretty fast. I use it with my iPad, to get a bigger image. It’s hard to gauge accuracy, for instance is that surface really at 75 degrees? What one should realize is the precision is on the low side. I don’t think it can tell if surfaces are one or two degrees different. In my work as an architect, that’s not a problem. I can see thermal bridges at studs with this tool. It takes a tool costing several thousand dollars to get to one-degree precision.
Ottimo prodotto per rilevare le discrepanze termiche delle superfici. Il sensore non molto grande quindi non sempre semplice capire cosa si sta guardando ma a questo punto viene molto in aiuto la fotocamera normale. Sicuramente si tratta di un prodotto entry level di ottima fattura e molto utile per identificare eventuali perdite a scarichi se non presentano un grande isolamento. Altre applicazioni pu essere identificare le fughe di temperature negli immobili causati da serramenti o altro.
Haven’t used this much yet, but at first glance it looks like a very good value. I used to be an energy auditor and had a professional grade IR camera. Sold it and really miss it, so I decided to try one of these. I just need to be able to check for active water leaks and cold air leaks in my own home and a pair of rentals, so couldn’t justify a more expensive unit. The clarity of the IR portion of the image is a bit disappointing (recalling the pro gear I used) but the mixed mode image with visible light borders saves the day. I think this will be adequate for my needs. BTW, seems like a nicely made product – even has a connector height adjustment to compensate for phone case thickness! Flir Tools app is available for IOS, but apparently not for a Mac. Would have been nice…

The FLIR ONE PRO LT for IOS has got to be one of my best investments. It has saved time and money in both looking for problem spots as far as insulating is concerned and for looking for a leak on one of my central heating pipes, I have used it over and over and helped out friends with this little gem. It is brutal as far as the battery is concerned, so you have a limited amount of time to get what you need done and the charge rate is slow, so I recommend you look into how to operate it for the use you require it for, before you charge around looking at everything from the family cat to looking at walls bemused why it all looks yellow, it is crucial that you go to the website and learn how to use this but once you the hang of looking at the temperature differential, you will easily be able to find leaks, spot wiring problems and fix drafty roofs and doors.
After reviewing the many “gun” type infra red cameras with their high prices and tiny screens, I decided to buy the standard (not Pro) Flir for Android unit. I had read of incompatibilities with my oneplus 6 phone but decided to risk it.
The unit arrived incredibly promptly (I live in Jersey where Amazon prime has historically not been great). I followed instructions and initially my phone did not detect the unit. A quick glance at Flir’s help site suggested ensuring OTG is enabled (in phone’s system settings) and it worked perfectly immediately. I then explored my house with the heating on in order to map the underfloor pipes. After allowing the heating to run for an hour, all the pipes could be seen highlighted on my phone’s large screen. The subtle blending of visual and infra red images really helped and using it after switching off all the lights (at night) gave another helpful perspective. This is not a device for producing pin sharp hi res photos in the infra red spectrum, but the images (and videos!) give enough detail to identify pipes and other objects quite clearly. Video is very helpful in orientating oneself in the house as it can be hard to tell exactly where individual images were taken, without taking notes, after the event.
The instructions should make it clearer that the unit charges it’s internal battery from a separate (not supplied) charger, NOT from the phone.
Very pleased with the unit which is well made and can have so many uses looking for hot spots. Even photographing cats in the dark is fun!

My biggest gripe with these devices is the short battery life. It will operate for about 45 minutes to an hour before it needs to be recharged. The plus side to this is that it’s not using your phone’s battery to operate. But I do think short battery life on a tool like this is going to be a point of frustration.
I do like that the connector accommodates large cases thanks to a dial control on the top of the unit. It’s largely plug and play and the app is simple enough to get up and running very quickly.

I wasn’t sure whether to pay significantly more for the PRO version given the very low resolution of this basic model. I decided to risk it and am happy to say that the resolution is more than adequate for most domestic applications. In my case I needed to identify the exact location of underfloor heating pipes. The secret of this camera is that the normal view is overlaid onto the thermal image which thereby provides a very clear image even at a distance of 5 to 6 feet.

Unit is nice and compact and once the Fair App is downloaded, very easy to use.
I like the fact that it overlays the thermal image with a visible outline (MSX as referred to by FLIR) giving easier to identify images. Battery last approx 30 minutes and charges very quickly. Currently using the camera to identify cold spots and blockages to the central heating system of which it is perfectly sufficient. I had previously borrowed a Flir camera from work that costs well over 5x the price of this, admittedly the thermal detail isn’t as accurate but for my purpose this is a perfectly sufficient camera and a great tool to add to any homeowners tool box.

I’ve had the previous version with a quarter resolution and that was great, I used it from everything to check whether drone components were overheating, and ditto for batteries, and general house efficiency. This new version is way better, just wish the price could be cheaper.

Works very well to find plumbing, heating tubes, electronic parts that about to go kaput etc. Footsteps, touches on most surfaces (keyboards too!) can be seen for a short period of time because of the heat transfer. Does not see through insulated walls or most glasses for that matter. Not really useful for night hunting, checking out rodents as the resolution / range is not the greatest. It does let you see a persons body underneath most clothes, but.. come on!
The internal battery needs to be charged separately, does not last very long – but your phone wont either, as its software is not written particularly well. Warms the phone up by using the processor too much. Note that it does not drain the phone battery, only uses its own. Connection is not perfect either. But the adjustable pin depth makes it usable when you have any kind of case on your phone.
Still, I would recommend getting a separate extender cable, makes it usable in much more cases.

Great value; useful tool for heat loss search round house
Very impressed with this and it has proved very useful in looking for hear efficiency issue round the house. Would have given 5 stars but have struggled to get access to some of the third party apps that are recommended from the FLIR app; unless you have US iTunes account.

Has own power supply so you need to turn it ON when you plug it in and wait a few seconds for an image to come onto the screen. Be patient. Refresh rate seems slow but that’s the case with all thermal cameras costing less than 20,000! Image quality and ease of use make this a great bit of kit. It is essentially the same sensor and features as the FLIR E6 which is a 2000 camera. Make sure you download the FLIR ONE app and the FLIR Tools app. The latter does some post processing and let’s you generate a range of different PDF reports that you can email straight from the app!!! The attached image is showing rainwater penetration through the outside wall of a Victorian house (defective rainwater pipe). Brilliant for building diagnostics.

So far I am very impressed with this product. I did my research before as it was an expensive purchase and I am glad I went with this one. I have used other thermal cameras in the past and have not been impressed but the quality of the images on this unit is very impressive. I think the stand out feature is the face it blends a actual picture with a thermal image so you keep the importance information like labeling on a fuse board. I am impressed by the accuracy of the temperature and the fact you can make changes to the image after the photo has been taken allowing you today choose the best colour setting or move the temperature point.
It’s expensive bit of kit but when you compare it to the equivalent spec camera it’s actually quite cheap. For this kind of price you wouldn’t be getting very good images.
I have highy expect this will be getting lots of uses at work been an electrician both diagnosis of faults and when doing electrical safety checks and will make use stand out from the others not using this technology.
Also a nice added point is the USB c connection is extendable so it fits on even with my large case something I was concerned about before purchasing.

In the ground floor of my house we have underfloor heating right through the kitchen, dining room and adjoined living area. It’s the type of underfloor heating that works with pipes and hot water (like a radiator). We love the underfloor heating but one morning we came downstairs to a pool of water, after mopping it up we realised it was coming from under the skirting and realised it was the underfloor heating. I rang a couple of heating engineers that I had in my phone.
The first came out and explained that the leak could be anywhere under the oak floor or tiled kitchen and dining area, the water would just be finding its way out through the route of least resistance. The solution would be to pull up the floor bit by bit to find the leak but it could mean worst case taking all the floor up. He could fit me in a week later.
The second had this Flir device with him attached to his phone, starting from a dry floor he powered on the underfloor heating, it was possible to see the hot water filtering through and filling up the massive network of piping. Faint at first but clearer after a couple of minutes we could then see where the leek was coming from, the heat signature grew as the water left the pipe, it was like adding cordial to water the way you could see the heat disperse. I never did get a reason why the leak had occurred but two hours later it was fixed and the two boards that had to be lifted were down again.
I didn’t know technology like this was available to add to an iPhone!, I don’t think I’d rush out and buy one but for this job along it would have paid for its self as ripping up all my flooring would have been a costly nightmare!

I bought the FLIR one Pro after wanting a thermal imaging camera for work for some time. For the price compared to the all in one thermal imagers, it has exceeded my expectations. It paid for itself after the first use. It, next to my smart phone is the most useful piece of kit I’ve purchased.

Our main likes and dislikes were:
1. The Flir camera: we thought it was a fantastic and compact little tool if you don’t need much resolution for the job to hand.
2. The Flir app. Not much in the way of instructions, and although the hardware is hardy, plug in and play . . . very straightforward, we would have benefitted from a Quickstart guide that covered how to get the most out of the camera screen. Most people would be able to work it out as there is a Help guide on the app: we didn’t bother because Flir’s resolution wasn’t fit for our purposes. There is a torch/flash on the Flir app. When we were downloading the Flir app (which had a 1star rating), we also downloaded a couple of other compatible apps that had 4-5star ratings that were also advertised on the Flir app. We gave ourselves 2 minutes per app to figure them out and couldn’t do it: they may be out of date.
3. How it works with an iPhone. So the camera can be attached to the phone to face either direction which is great. We had to remove the case for it to fit our iPhone . . . and the phone felt VERY vulnerable in the locations we wanted to use it. Obviously you could buy a new phone case that is compatible with Flir. The other thing was that photos taken using the Flir camera button did not capture ALL the information (e.g. the temperature gradient) on the screen at the time so we ended up doing screen shots using the iPhone home and on/off button. This was actually quite tricky as you had to make sure your hand did not block the Flir, or that you didn’t click the phone into the lock screen (happened a lot). The Flir itself is robust: we wouldn’t recommend changing how it attaches to the iPhone.
Despite the issues, we were impressed with the fact that you could do this kind of thing with a mere phone. Maybe a future version with more resolution would suit us: at the moment though, we have decided to splurge on a full handheld unit with a higher resolution.
In the end we decided to splurge a bit more on a more powerful non-phone version and so sent this for refund.
I have the iOS version of the FLIR One Pro. It works well as does the software. Please ensure you read reviews for the product you are interested in buying – I think the iOS version is stable and offers lots of neat functionality.
There’s not enough info with the unit though. Initial registration was straightforward and didn’t feel like the bind other users report. I plugged the One in to charge. The charge light glued green when fully charged, flashes before that.
I liked that FLIR Tools now has a version on iOS, so I don’t need to transfer images to my PC before analysis. Great to analyse afterwards to discern temperature. So far I haven’t found out how to lock the scale – on some of my pics, the scene looks like there’s lots of variability (lots of colour) but in fact there are only 1 or 2 degrees between specific spots. Sometimes it would be better to have only the big changes shown.
But overall a great product. So glad I read the iOS reviews before buying this – I had considered I’d need to get a C3, have saved 200 by not needing to do that!
Excellent product – packs some incredible technology into a tiny package that attaches neatly to an iPhone. I used the latest version of the app and didn’t have any software problems. I note some critiques from other reviewers but i cut the Flir a bit of slack as this gadget is doing domething incredible for the price and provides a service that is transformative if you are tracking down buliding or DIY problems. The roll-out connector is very good for connecting to a phone with a chuncky case.
This camera is very easy to use offering simple but very effective functions alongside the downloadable “Free” App. I used it to find a cold spot in my utility room. A broken seal in the UPVC door panel was the issue which I would never had found without this camera’s cold spot feature. I found it is also useful for checking water flow in pipes which helped spot a black spot in a U bend under the sink in my kitchen – result was some trapped debris which over time would have become smelly. A great device for both home users and professionals wjo would easily get daily usage and some big return on the investment in a short space of time.
I bought this product as I am currently in the process of doing up a house I have just bought. When you are doing a lot of work yourself this product adds piece of mind to the job you have done so for example, you may find a room with a draft that you feel is unexplained so you simply go round the room with your thermal camera and quite quickly identify the source. You can then either tackle the issue yourself or employ someone but when it is done you can easily check the work.
I have used this product to check windows, doors, insulation in the attic, radiators, electrics and even the cat flap, I can even check how hot the water in my bath is before I get in it. I have also had fun with this product taking thermal images of my friends and family and it has even helped me find the cat out in the garden at night.
In response to those that say this product has limited uses and is too expensive, well all a screwdriver does is unscrew things and open tubs of paint but we still need them and in terms of the price, you will save money by not having to call people out to solve these issues over years. I have also lent mine to friends and family so have saved them money too. Those who say there are limits too this product simply haven’t discovered it’s full capabilities.
I got this to try and identify the cold spots in my living room and it proved to be worth the money already. It showed me that I had an air vent covered over but not sealed behind it so it was really cold in that corner and also showed my radiators where not fully heating due to being full of sludge. Sorted both and since much more comfortable in the room.
This is a very interesting product. Being able to see in infra-red allows you to see things like clogs in pipes, drafty points in your house or electrical circuit hot spots.
This clever little tool just plugs into the base of your phone, install the app and then away you go. The thermal image just shows up on your screen, similar to those Predator movie images you probably remember from the 80’s. Sensitivity is quite good, and images produced are high enough resolution to be able to see most things quite clearly.
For most people this is just a little toy, but it could be quite useful for Electrician, Plumbers and Builders.
This is great for heating engineers it gives a clear visual display of sludged up rads to customers shows pipes in concrete floors and timber paid for itself on first job
Nach Monaten des Wartens auf die dritte Gertegeneration habe ich endlich die iOS Variante erhalten, die auch einwandfrei funktioniert.
Ich arbeite mit Haustechnik und habe mir immer eine Wrmebildkamera gewnscht. Die Kosten waren aber fr eine Anschaffung stets zu hoch.
Man sollte realistisch sein. “Richtige” Wrmebildkamneras kosten schnell mehrere tausend Euro, denn die Technik ist kompliziert. Natrlich muss man Abstriche machen wenn man ein Produkt fr unter 300 Euro kauft. Toll ist aber das es etwas so erschwingliches gibt. Trotzdem kann man mit dieser Kamera fast alles machen rund ums Haus, auerdem gibt es von Flir ganz tolle Online Lernvideos zur Thermografie kostenlos die ich sehr empfehlen kann.
Das einzige was mir fehlt ist die Mglichkeit einen Temperaturbereich zu definieren. Vielleicht hat man das bewusst weggelassen um eine Abgrenzung zur teureren Profiversion zu machen. Sonst bin ich voll zufrieden.
Kleiner Nachtrag: Inzwischen habe ich festgestellt dass der Akkustand teilweise doch etwas unvorhersehbar ist wenn man das Gert einschaltet. Wer nicht die Zeit hat kurz zu laden im Bedarfsfall, ist gut beraten, eine kleine Powerbank dabei zu haben, damit kann das gert direkt weiter benutzt werden whrend es wieder ldt.
Flir comes with cable, hard case and what looks & feels like a gift box. Battery is built in and needs charging prior to use. There are no instructions with this device but you can access a video once you have installed the Flir App from ITunes store (free) and there are other useful apps that work with this too but you may need to pay for some of these which are not too costly am pleased to say.
When taking pictures you can view the original photo alongside the thermal version. All the controls are used from the iphone such as timer, video, time lapse, colour temp, colour palette etc.
A very useful invention which is useful if for say you are a DIY person for starters as it can be used for various jobs like detecting pipes in walls, metal detector and mains etc, checking blocked pipes in the toilet etc. It will fit in to you iPhone with the case on or you can extend the plug by a turning wheel on the camera to adjust the height to fix any problems without having to remove your iPhone case. a very useful product that will save you time, money and convenience using it for all sorts of useful jobs.
I have just received delivery of my FLIR One Thermal imaging camera. The product is nicely packaged in a small cardboard retail outer. Inside here is a neat box with an instruction manual, the camera, a carry case and a charging cable. The manual asks you to download the FLIR app which is on the iOS store and is simply called “FLIR One”. I downloaded this and registered. You need to verify your email before it will allow you into the settings. The first items I tested this out with were my cup of coffee and the windows. The purpose in which I purchased this item is to spend time seeing where the heat is escaping from my house. This will save me time and money in replacing windows, doors or whether it’s purely draft excluders I need. I’d be very interested in seeing if this would work with cooking! So far I’m pleasantly surprised with this camera and cannot wait to get using it around the house. As I’m a home user this will give me lots of features, I’m sure in the hands of a professional this would be a fantastic product to use in the trades of a plumber, electrician etc.
