J’ai eu un premier colis dfectueux mais aujourd’hui j’en est ressu un et c’est vraiment plaisant de jouer la GC sur ma TV 180cm, au top.
So first off, this thing is awesome. you get full progressive scan output to hdmi, basically as good as the gamecube can output, which is all that can be asked, but you also get a ton of options to tweak the signal to your liking w/r/t the stretch, aliasing, etc.
but what i really want to add is the fact that after a few months of ownership but about a month after the refund policy had run out for me and having not used it for about a few weeks, i fired it back up to find that one of the color signals seemed to not be working correctly and so colors were totally off for me. I contacted Kaico and they sent a new one out! 3 days later I got the replacement, totally brand new!
it turns out that the problem was on my end tho – and it was my HT receiver not passing through the signal correctly, not the device. if i run it directly to one of the TV’s HDMI ports, all is well, when it goes through my Yamaha HT receiver, i have problems :-/ …this sucks, but it is most definitely not Kaico’s problem! Needless to say i owe these guys an adapter back….
I just wanted to leave my 2 cents here tho to say that this company is awesome, their customer service is awesome, and if you have game cube, definitely give this a try. Thanks guys!

Vorlufiges Fazit nach 5 getesteten Spielen (in D gekaufter Gamecube, alles PAL Versionen): Bekomme mit aktiviertem Linedoubling leider ein verzerrtes Bild. Ob der Fehler am verwendeten Fernseher oder am Kaico liegt, konnte ich bisher nicht gegentesten. Auch mit deaktiviertem Linedoubling ist das Bild aber merklich schrfer gegenber dem Standard-Kabel.

Die dennoch gegebene Verbesserung gegenber dem Standard-Kabel und die erhhte Flexibilitt durch den HDMI-Anschluss geben aber den Ausschlag, trotzdem zufrieden mit dem Kauf zu sein.

Bought a GameCube for my son (into retro gaming), it wouldnt really display correctly on modern TV’s (analog versus digital). I tried a few composite to HDMI converters with no success and pondered on getting this because of the price. Whilst its expensive it does work extremely well. I’ve not even had to go into the menus / setup, just plugged it in and instance success. The GameCube now looks perfect on our Samsung 4K TV (it scales up).
So in short, expensive but if you have a GameCube well worth the money.

This little adapter does exactly what it promises. I needed an affordable solution to hook my Game Cube up to my HDTV and the standard composite cables just didn’t cut it. It’s amazing how clear the picture looks; I’m seeing details in games I have missed for 15 years.

This does work but also you tv will play a factor on it. It wont play all the video from the game. Fair warning.

It came with gcvideo 2.4c when it was advertised with 3.0d installed. So now i have to manually update it with a spi flasher if they ever get back to me by email (been two weeks please get back to me) about what files i sould even use to do this…. over all solid build qualitity great video in all games so far and using gbi to play gba games with a gbplayer looks astoundingly sharp. No complants with operation as it operates as any gcvideo device should if i could have known about the softqare being lower i probabaly would have sprung the few bucks more for an insurection carby to avoid the headache of upgrading gcvideo from 2.4 c, atleast it has holes for jtag (pictures of casing removed).

Makes the GameCube usable on a modern TV! The composite video output my GameCube had was terrible. This works perfectly out of the box. I set my GameCube to output 480p, and I’m super happy with the output quality. I attached a photo of Super Mario Sunshine being output through the adaptor; looks great!
Just make sure you have the model of GameCube with the digital output socket before buying. Later models didn’t have that socket.

he 1st unit they sent I couldn’t get the audio to work, the unit was defective. I sent it back free of charge, and they sent me another one (they mailed it to me even before they had received the defective one back).
The replacement works great a much better video image and the audio is clear. The Kaico is half the price of other units that claim to do the same thing.
If using it on a Gamecube I wouldn’t use the line doubler option.

Make Gamcube Beautiful Agai
GC looks like rubbish on modern TVs.
This simple plug and play device makes it beautiful again. It’s not just nostalgia, many of these titles are still gorgeous. Hold down B when titles load to turn of progressive scan to get better picture.
You must have a GC model with the digital port. It says this everywhere. You buy this device without that you’re the dummy.

Brilliant just like what I have built inside my own modded GameCube. But this one just plug and play. My Niece will be Extremely happy with this. I was using a different GameCube hdmi adapter that was rubbish. The picture on the screen. Was unplayable! But this thing is amazing. With a Beautiful picture and sound. The only problem I can’t get it to fit widescreen. It’s always stuck in box mode. I have updated the version firmware to the latest one after finding out how. It’s pretty easy! It didn’t fix the problem. But at least it’s playable. I totally recommend this to any GameCube collector.
Works exactly as intended and allows for GameBoy Player Compatibility! The hardware is high quality and connects with a “snap” just as you’d expect with a first party device. I had no issues understanding how to navigate the menus using the included remote (batteries pre-installed).
This device allows you to play GameCube games on on a modern television with a much sharper image than using the standard RCA cables or even the Wii’s component cables, and it has adjustable picture settings. I immediately noticed a major improvement in picture quality with GameCube games such as Windwaker and Double Dash, with graphics being clearer and edges being sharper. (No additional upscaling device was used.)
I also love that this adapter has full compatibility with the GameBoy Player accessory, allowing me to also play GameBoy, GBC, and GBA games on my 4K Television without losing image sharpness. I’m using a memory card with GBi installed rather than the original GameBoy Player startup disk, which is also possible with the RCA/Component cables, but the quality is much better with this adapter. It took some trial and error as my TV would not recognize the signal when I first launched GBi, but I did some digging online and found that it would work by enabling “Progressive Scan Mode” on the GameCube game that I used to boot the GBi (by simplpy holding down the B button while starting the console on most games). After that slight adjustment, I am able to play all generations of GameBoy games with no loss in quality.
I highly recommend this device to anybody who is looking to play GameCube games (or GameBoy games using the tips I shared above) on a 4K TV!

I used to have a gamecube with component cables. I traded all of it for something else years ago. I just recently bought a gamecube again but the component cables were insanely expensive. This Gamecube to HDMI connector is a lot less expensive than the component cables and allows you to connect your digital AV out to your HDMI TV. An awesome product which is extremely easy to use!

I wasn’t able to mess with the adapter’s setting a big disappointment which was annoying because of the remote, regardless it did convert almost all games like Mario Sunshine, wind waker, and Luigi’s mansion to 480 they all sound perfect and look way better on my tv. I will email about the remote but for now I’m satisfied with the picture quality. 4/5

overall, i’m very pleased that i got my gamecube up and running again after all these years with this adapter. i actually would give it 5 stars just for reviving my gc. IT WORKS – but partially, in my case.
the video output is great!
but somehow i didn’t get the sound along – i additionally connected audio jacks (old original stereo av cables) to solve that.
the remote controller came dead. no reactions, no lights (at the end of the remote) came on when pressed. i initially thought it was may be a battery problem(mine came with a battery inside, along with the plastic insert to keep battery separated), so i changed the battery. but still, dead to me. i wanted explore its linedoubling feature but i can’t.
so i took 1 star off for 2 reasons above.(thought of taking out 2 stars haha)

This is an incredibly low cost adapter for progressive scan on the GameCube but you need to remember not all games support progressive scan. AND you need to know how to activate progressive scan per game that supports this feature to get the most out of this adapter. They advertise they are plug and play but you need to google activate progressive scan on GC. I first noticed a jitter effect when changing the adapter from 480i to 480P. Very subtle and most won’t notice but I did. But when I booted up a game that supported progressive scan by holding down the B button at boot up I was absolutely blown away. The picture was better than my Wii that supports GameCube games in progressive scan (using wii HDMI adapter).
This device + Progressive Scan + mClassic Graphics Processor Adaptor cable and you could be tricked into thinking this was a 1st gen HD game console. I have the older mCable gaming HDMI cable not the newer plug that’s the size of a key chain.
But remember you need to compare games that support progressive scan and know how to activate Progressive Scan on the GameCube start up (hold B). It’s not clear from the poor reviews who didn’t pay attention to the games they compared if they even supported progressive scan or that one review of the guy who didn’t understand before purchasing that you needed a specific model of the game cube for this device. READ and LEARN. Stop blaming others for being incompetent.

For the money this is the best option if you are looking for an inexpensive way to hookup to an HDMI input. Right out of the box its plug and play. Works perfectly with my UK GameCube. Enables me to connect it via HDMI. Picture quality is excellent, considering the age and resolution of the console. Finally my daughters can play some old Zelda classics.

Die Verbindung steht durchweg stabil, Abbrche gibt es keine. Die bertragung weist keine Latenz auf und erfolgt dementsprechend in Echtzeit. Die Bedienung kann am Gert selbst erfolgen, daneben ist aber auch eine Fernbedienung beigelegt, die einwandfrei funktioniert. Der Preis ist hier als gnstig einzustufen, Konkurrenzprodukte kosten in der Regel mehr als das Doppelte.
Fazit: Kaico” bietet hier eine gnstigen wie funktionalen Adapter fr den Gamecube. Aufgrund des berzeugenden Preis-Leistungs-Verhltnisses kann eine Empfehlung fr jeden Interessierten guten Gewissens ausgesprochen werden.

It's nicely packaged and easy to plug n play...Just make sure you hold down the b button during the Gamecube boot screen until it promts you to engage the progressive scan...from there you should get the option to use 480p on every game that allows it upon boot...enjoy...

This product does exactly what it says. At this point in time there are a few options available for a GCVideo solution in a range of prices. I have been putting off buying one of the current solutions because the price was too inflated on the devices available. Then I saw a review of Kaico’s solution and the price was not only the lowest of any device, but the results were on pare with the other products available.
The pros are many, and as of yet I have not found a con.
Very solid build construction. These are made with an aluminum housing and production quality connectors. Nothing is 3d printed here. There is not only am included HDMI cable, but a remote as well to adjust the settings. The IR system for the remote is also higher quality than the other solutions that I have tested. I can adjust settings from across the room with the adaptor facing the back of the console as it would normally be.
The adaptor plugs into the digital port of the console with the exact same feel as the factory component cable so I have no doubts that it will last at least as long as the factory OEM solution.
Video quality is the same on every GCVideo device as they all use the same open source circuit and base firmware. So the only thing that makes a difference is the price, and whatever extra features are programmed in.
If I am being completely honest, there are no features worth the extra money if all you want to do is get the best video possible by using HDMI. This is the most adorable version and the video quality is just a touch better than the Nintendo digital component cable, that costs over $200.
Thanks Kaico for creating an affordable version of this product. Anyone who uses a DOL-001 GameCube should absolutely buy one of these. I’m looking to get one of the Kaico Dreamcast adaptors next.
Superb product. I can now play my gamecube on my big screen in glorious 480p without breaking the bank paying for component cables. A must buy for any cube owner.

This product was used to update the graphics of my Nintendo GameCube to 540p hd instead of using a rgb/scart as standard & getting poor image quality on modern TVs.

I have already bought the Kaico Dreamcast HDMI lead so I assumed this adaptor would be just as good and I’m glad to say it is. The GC has put more of a fight up to get a HDMI connection but these guys have managed it. Plug in and play, no problems at all. Obviously this does not make your GC display HD, but as a solution to connect it to a modern TV this is excellent.
I have tried other GameCube devices for my HDMI tv, needles to say all crap, but I must say I am really impressed with this one, Very Good quality image love it, rediscovery the GameCube with my grand kids we love it. will be buying another one for my daughter GameCube.

his is a superb piece of kit for gamers. much better than some of the other far more expensive options out there so we were really happy to get to try this out. it was so easy to set up, just kinda plug and go really. it produced great results and we are loving being able to bang out some classics. this is a really well built piece of kit that will last you well. well worth every penny.

I’ve read some horror stories about kaico online so I was a bit dubious about buying the gamecube adaptor, but eventually bought it and I have to say this thing is absolutely awesome, the build quality is fantastic really really surprised me to be fair and it comes with a remote and hdmi cable, plugged it in and I can now play pal games in interlaced 60hz, and my NTSC games can be played in 480p progressive mode, I was stunned going from scart to this, the Gameboy player using Swiss is a thing of beauty, I would say don’t listen to the retro police on YouTube if you have a GameCube buy this it is cheaper than the carby and half the price of the eon, highly recommended and I will definitely buy the kaico PS2 and Dreamcast adaptors in the near future

Thing works like a champ. Bought a much cheaper gamecube HDMI adapter and the picture quality got no better and sound was snapping and cracking. Returned it and got this item and so glad I did!!! Picture looks amazing and sound is perfect!

Does exactly what it says it will. I’m told by my super in the know friends that the $150 GCHD is better, bit this is perfect for me on my 55in Qled Samsung.
HOWEVER, whatever hdmi adapter you choose, I reccomend also buying the Mclassic adapter, which will take the image from the HDMI and actually upscale and smooth the graphics to look even better.

Wer wie ich, viele alte Konsolen zuhause hat, der ist natrlich froh wenn Technologie
erscheint womit man diese Konsolen auch an neuen TV’s betreiben kann.
Bei der Wii gab es auch einige Adapter, die nicht wirklich toll funktionierten, deswegen
war ich hier sehr skeptisch.
Der Preis ist auch sehr hoch, dafr das man “nur” den alten Gamecube am TV betreiben kann.
Aber die Investition lohnt sich!
Das Bild ist mehr als nur gut. Klar, es macht aus einem Gamecube keine PS4, eine bessere
Auflsung ist technisch eh nicht machbar, denn mit einer hheren Auflsung, msste auch
der Prozessor/Grafikchip des Gamecubes mehr hergeben.
Aber hier bekommt man ein glasklares Bild per HDMI.
Einziger Kritikpunkt ist wirklich nur der Preis, und da scheiden sich ja eh immer die Geister.
Fr den einen ist es teuer, fr den anderen vielleicht sogar gnstig wenn man dadurch
eine bessere Qualitt erreicht.
Entscheiden Sie also selbst ob ihnen der hohe Preis es wert ist.
Ich kann den Adapter sonst nur empfehlen, wirklich traumhaft!

I really enjoy Kaico’s Gamecube HDMI adapter. I have tried the original version of the EON Gamecube HDMI adapter and I definitely prefer Kaico’s. One thing that concerns me with Kaico’s is that the adapter is a little wobbly when plugged in. Overall fantastic product for a fantastic price.

A decent adaptor that does a good job of allowing you to connect an ancient Game Cube to a modern HDMI TV. Seeing the images in HD is fantastic and, whilst the picture quality will never be the best you’ve ever seen due to the limitations of the source, it’s a really good improvement. Pleased.

For years it was impossible to get a 3rd party accessory as the cables were very hard to crack. It only took nearly 20 years, but now that is has been cracked these 3rd party accessories are making it to the market, often for crazy prices, which contradicts the non-shortage so choose smartly.
This Kaico accessory, in conjuction with my Yamaha receiver as a pass-through, gives a noticeably superior 576i picture on my 65-inch 4K TV but let’s be clear, the improved textures, edges, and detail are never going to come close to 8th generation consoles but they are the best they’re going to get, not that the GameCube had bad graphics for its day, not at all.
The device is plug and play, though the resolution of the pop-up menu is chunky and horrible, which is kind of ironic. The tiny remote also feels cheap and flimsy, but you’ll likely not use it much.
An essential purchase for people you still love their Cubes.
