Garrett Ace 250 Metal Detecto

According to the writing on the box I should have received an instruction dvd, however I didn’t.

Fab gadget for an absolute beginner like me. Great fun, and good instructions to get you started. I haven’t made my millions yet, but who knows!?

Facilissimo da assemblare, vi permetter da subito di cimentarvi nella ricerca di metalli. E’ possibile settare il metal detector in base ai vostri target di riferimento oppure configurarlo in ‘all metal’.
E’ in grado di rilevare anche piccoli oggetti fino a 40 – 45 cm di profondit con una discreta sensibilit. Purtroppo, specie nelle prime uscite, rileverete molti falsi positivi… occorre un po’ di esperienza per distinguere il suono prodotto e l’intensit dello stesso.
Per cominciare con questo hobby credo sia l’ideale, vista la facilit d’uso, la duttilit e il prezzo accessibile.

Brill quality and detail everything you need from a metal detector.

Was easy to put together and the manual was easy to understand however I turned the detector on and the bottom of my LCD screen dosnt work. I’ve read about this problem and it’s a very common fault with the Ace 250. I have contacted the seller so am awaiting a reply from them.
…update…Had a speedy reply back and they have asked me to send the detector back and they will repair it for me.

Primo metal che ordino. Sto imparando pian piano a interagire con lo strumento. Ad oggi ancora poche uscite poich fa ancora davvero freddo. Cmq facile da usare, basta vedere qualche video su internet e si capisce subito il principio di funzionamento. Un consiglio quello di ordinare anche il copri piastra perch potrebbe rovinarsi da subito.
Nel complesso ottimo articolo entry level e buono il rapporto qualit prezzo.

Marca Segura para iniciarse en el mundo de buscar metales.
Requiere un poco de experiencia en saber utilizar la mquina pero tiene muchas posibilidades.
Recomiendo tambin comprar un puntero para encontrar cosas pequeas.

Ho acquistato questo metal detector, non ne avevo mai usati prima. Ho letto le varie recensioni che nella pratica ho trovato utili, in effetti non uno strumento di alta precisione ma per iniziare va benissimo. Non molto sensibile per l’oro ma per altri metalli lo anche troppo. Non leggerissimo per cui non adatto per uso prolungato. Va benissimo per trovare monete e reperti ferrosi.

The Garrett Ace 250 is a good machine. I bought it for my 8 year old daughter so she could join me in detecting.

The review is mixed not because the machine operates poorly but more because my daughter isn’t sure if she’s enthused anymore by detecting. We’re starting slowly and I hope that she’ll sustain her enjoyment of the hobby but I guess that’ll come in time.

The machine works well for the limited time it’s been out in the field. I have only one problem with the machine and that is it’s lack of volume control. The machine is LOUD and seriously if you’re doing urban detecting you’re going to want to do this during lunch hour cause the bell tone while very smooth is very loud as well. Headphones WITH VOLUME CONTROL are a must. You’ll blow your eardrums out if you don’t keep that in mind.

This is a good intro machine and I’d recommend it to others who want something take out with them when at the beach (dry sand) or in the parks or street meridians. It’s light and the display is very easy to read. Keep in mind though that the machine is over 4 feet long and you have a young child then it’s going to be a bit difficult to start off with… fortunately Garrett does offer a Kid’s Shaft Kit for around $20 to help remedy the problem.

We give it two thumbs up.

I was VERY pleasant surprised when i realise that ACE 250 which i recive even BEFORE date what was specified, that ACE 250 is genuine Garret product, made in USA, and i didnt hold anything made in usa in my hands for over 15 years :D.
i even recive some funny looking earmuffs, but they working fine, and also there is a jack adapter, so you can easily connect any of your favored earmuffs.
So far i didnt have any significant luck, and i didnt ”dig in” properly yet, due very high temperatures outside..
Highly recomended!

Premetto che non sono un esperto, saranno anni che volevo prendermene uno abbastanza buono ma non troppo costoso e questo mi sembra quello giusto.
L’unica pecca che non ho ancora capito come funzionano le discriminazioni varie perch quando ho impostato “coin” ho trovato un rubinetto, un chiodo e una lattina e di monete niente, in pratica suonava lo stesso anche se non era una moneta, forse devo ancora imparare bene come funziona, molto utile la funzione pinpointer, peccato che non ho ancora capito se si pu abbassare il volume perch appena lo accendi e trovi qualcosa fa un casino assurdo.

Una buena compra aunque no he probado ningn otro, me inform en foros y llegu a la conclusin que por su precio y calidad era el ms recomendable para iniciarse en este mundillo. Muy contento con el producto.

Took up metal detecting this year quite seriously so did hours of research on detectors so hopefully I wouldn’t waste my money. This is quite simply a brilliant bit of kit for the money. I have met detectorists with very expensive machines who are no more successful at finding stuff than the Ace 250 does. You only have to look at other reviews and it’s always rated as one of the best as a starter/serious machine. Have found Roman Bronze, medieval stuff etc. The pinpoint function is very handy and once you get used to it makes finding stuff really quite simple. Match it with a standalone pinpointer and you’re ready to go. I bought the KKMoon GP pointer from Amazon as it was a good price, and again, it’s been brilliant. Would definitely recommend.

Impressed so far as a beginner; still getting the hang of tweaking its sensitivity levels to medium in which searching.

Fantastic, very sensitive machine, have found a few decent things already including a ring, well worth the money!

I bought this product because 2 days ago, I lost my wedding ring during my land scapping project. I was frantically looking for hours (digging (going through both my huge garbage bins with a fine comb). decided as a last ditch effort to get this metal detector. I found it 6 inches underground in a garden bed. Thank you so much for helping me find my most precious trinket. 10/5 stars.

Only giving 4 stars because it does not come with a coil cover, trying to find a coil cover for this in Canada is difficult, it is only $15 in the US, but in Canada you are looking at spending $40 plus dollars for it, unless you can find it in stores cheaper, even then you are looking at spending a nice chunk of money.

Aside from all that, it is a very good detector, has a lot of functions for its price range and is very easy for beginners to use.

Very pleased, arrived pretty much straight away, son has already found a tip of a broken toy a nail and a rusty coin! Works great!

It took me a long time to choose a metal detector. We have used this on the beach and on mud and grass. It took us a while to get the hang of it but it is pretty accurate! The depth isn’t always 100% but if it beeps there will be something there, don’t give up!! Found money on beaches, doesn’t work well on wet sand by the sea but fine otherwise. It’s in American in terms of money on the screen itself but this doesn’t really cause us a problem. I’m waiting to dig up gold!

This is the second metal detector that I have ever had. And it is very good.
On my first try I went to the beach and spent several hours on the beach. Found iron nails from old wooden ships, some wrecks of old wooden ships are on the coastline. Some aluminium, some copper, brass, bronze all at depths of about 10 inches. In wet sand it still works and found, well more of the same at around 6 inches.

On my second day I went to the dunes. Found over 20 bullets from WW2 and at a depth of 8 inches the smallest fragment of a bullet, about 4 mm by 2 mm in size at a depth of 8 inches. The pinpoint button is so accurate.

However I did find that in a change to the underlying makeup of sand, when it changes from one state to another, the Ace 250 gives falls readings, but this was the only times that it gave falls readings. It indicates that something is under the sand, but nothing is, it is only the change in the lower sand levels.

I did not have ear phones, but the loudness and clarity of the beeps from the device was good enough even as the waves were hitting the beach.

This is most definitely a good device to get.

have had many good hours of detecting fun with this and this product has a good resale value once you are confident with this and want to upgrade to a better more expensive model.
This Garrett model the ACE 250 is the best for new starters at this hobby and please dont expect to hit big bucks in finds right away takes a long time and a lot of practice and many years of experience before you hit anything big.
