Auto Grip System
The ORIGINAL and still the BEST Auto Grip System (AGS) is driven by the weight of the instrument.
When the instrument is placed on the yoke, the channel slides down and rotates two arms, holding and protecting your instrument.

1. Please recommend a masonary drill size for the wall plugs supplied.
2. The supplied plugs do not sit flush to the wall so neither does the hanger. I had to drill out the hole to recess! the plug.

Very sturdy and make the room look great once the instruments are stored. I’ve used them for mandolins and ukes because it’s a small room. Very happy with the results.

Good strong brackets
Needed to get my guitars off the floor so decided to try hanging them on the wall. These brackets are well made and sturdy. No problem with weight and easily takes my Les Paul which is probably the heaviest of my guitars
Pretty sturdy
I installed 3 (for uke, bass and guitar) they were pretty easy to install and seem fairly strong. 1 less star because it would be nice if there was a drilling template on the packaging and the included rawplugs could be better. I replaced the rawplugs with fischer duopower and they worked great on my dot and dab walls.
Good guitar stand
if you want to put your guitar on the wall, this is a good way to do it. I have a couple and they work well and I have had no problems over a few years not. Bought about 4 altogether.

Well made, sturdy and holds guitar well. Extra spacers are useful for smaller instruments, eg ukulele.

If you are looking for a really good guitar wall hanger, look no further. Have three of them ,supporting everything from a light classic guitar to a hefty heavy bass w/o any problems. Great product.
Secure hanger and nice grip.
The hanger appears sturdy and was easy to install. I liked the addition of the rubber grips which gives a tighter more secure grip on the neck of the guitar.

Great bit of kit and easy to put up!
This was just the job, really easy to put up. Was was a little concerned over the size of the screws but I was reassured by other reviewers that they did the job. they did make it really sturdy. My lespaul isn’t the lightest guitar but it handled it no problem. It’s nicely padded so it one grips and two is kind to the neck of the guitar. I like the little arms that flick up under the weight of the guitar so I know If there is an earthquake it will be fine. It doesn’t sit to flush to the wall but I’m assuming that it is also set for acoustic guitars with Larger bodies, but I don’t think my electric sits too bad in it.
I’d definitely buy another.
The only hanger I would buy
I now have 10 of these (plus one of the classical guitar hangers), used for acoustic, electric, bass, mandolin, and ukulele(s). In all cases, the instruments feel well held with no risk of them falling out.
They are attached to blockwork walls. For the heavier instruments I was paranoid and used longer screws than those provided – to be honest, having tried to pull down the fittings using the shorter screws that was probably not needed.
A number of reviews here have mentioned receiving the fittings with hanger upside down: there is an instruction on the stem on the hanger that says “PULL”. Do what it says and you can turn the hanger through 180 degreees and get it the right way up.
Safe and sturdy
Been in use for a few months now holding my heavy Les Paul up with no issues at all.

Nothing else will do
I only use these wall hangers, they are sturdy and I’ve got basses, acoustics and guitars on them. I’ve used others and they don’t come close to Hercules. These are the only wall hangers to buy.
These are a cheap investment in comparison to how much a guitar is worth. They are easy to fit and very strong and robust. I bought one years ago and use it all the time which gave me the confidence to buy four more to hang some of my other guitars on the wall. It has an easy design which holds and locks the guitar in place safely. The head can pivot which means it can accommodate many different styles of neck and headstock. Add or remove the sleeves to also accommodate different thicknesses of necks of all kinds of stringed instruments from violins, mandolins, electric/ acoustic/ bass guitars etc. The Hercules can take some weight too. There are all kinds of shapes and sizes of wall hangers with all kinds of fancy looking designs and aesthetics, but I will only use these with real confidence.

Really good product. Looks good holds well. I used wall anchors to fit to plasterboard walls. I now have 3 guitars hanging on the wall.
Does the job nicely for my electric guita
I’m pleased with this. It is well designed and holds the guitar nicely on the wall. The hanging position is quite far out from the wall which could be an issue in some cases but for me it does the job nicely.
I like the locking mechanism that keeps the guitar from slipping forward when hanging.

I had purchased a ‘similar’ holder that happened to be about 3 cheaper, but. within 10 minutes of receiving it, that first one was on its way back to Amazon. Frustrated, I continued looking and found this … a much more professionally manufactured piece of kit. With the 42mm wide neck of my Hofner bass and the ukulele sleeves supplied in place, it works a teat. I would have liked a larger base with 3 or 4 screw holes for added security (hence 4 stars as opposed to 5), but very happy with it.

Well Impressed
I bought this to replace a hanger I paid more for and I’m now angry that I didn’t buy this one sooner, its well made and strong with locking neck feature which is great for me as the wife loves to go berserk when cleaning and knock things off. It was easy to fit using the screws and plugs included. I am now going to change all my other hangers for this type and make.

Neat mechanism. Seemed strange at first – I was expecting the base of the guitar to touch the wall, but the guitar hangs vertically, not touching at all.

Items arrived in good time and condition. Easy to enstall, just a few seconds with a drill & a screwdriver needed. They held the weight of my guitars with ease.
First impressions? I Ordered three, they look & feel good quality – screwed on to blockwork wall – holding quite a heavy electric guitar well. My only gripe is the screw holes in them are a tight fit for the supplied screws leaving no “wriggle room” if your masonry drill wanders 1 or 2 mm then they’re not going to be quite perpendicular, so I opened the holes out to 5mm & used a small pilot masonry drill to start the holes in the wall, before opening them up with a 7mm masonry drill. The supplied screws I used but used better plastic plugs. Yes overall good quality though I’m not sure if I would be happy if I was going to fix them to plasterboard

It’s good, sturdy as others I have bought before, hangs for the wall correctly, I have this one on an electric bass, and have complete confidence in it.

With acoustic guitars, they hang away from the wall about 4″ at the bottom … that might be a good or bad thing depending on your viewpoint, but I am happy with these hangers. Snug fit at the nut, which is good. and looking very solid.
Easy install. Does what it is designed to do
Bought two of these to get my guitars off the floor. Easy to install on brick wall using supplied fixings. They do leave the guitars (electrics) hanging a couple of inches from wall. With the rubber inserts on the arms, hold my telecaster securely.

The best hanger I’ve used which is why I now own 4 of them. I wouldn’t look at others now I’ve found these. The only minor niggle is that they are slightly bulky looking when there isn’t a guitar hanging off them.

Clever locking mechanism
Guitar stands aren’t the prettiest things so this is perhaps one of the more plain and discreet guitar hooks that aren’t completely pants. They’re are cheaper ones which will be just as good but the locking mechanism and build quality are great.

Do as I say and not as I do, this is hanging of a think plasterboard wall and it is holding perfect. Although the thickness is nearly as thick as the anchors. Just make sure your wall is solid enough, you should be ok.

Bought this for my husband – is on the wall with no fuss.
These are very good, and easy to install
So I bought 3 of these and without much DIY skills they went up on the wall (my wall is plasterboard so I bough a 5 Euro pack of plasterboard plugs to make sure they stay in place) Drill holes, install plugs. Then screw in the holders and that’s it. Very happy with these, they look good, they grip the neck of the guitar so they are “locked in”. Worth noting that the guitars hang out from the wall so the back is 5-6-7 cm away from the wall so the come out a bit. Great buy. Will probably buy a couple more 🙂
one of the best guitar wall hangers out there
after trawling through for all the different wall hangers finally settled of the hercules one.
this hanger is very sturdy and feels good quality and able to take the heaviest of guitars. i love the simplicity of the locking mechanism and give that extra sense of reassurance that the kids wont knock the guitar off the wall by accident. it was easy to fit.
some people may find that it does protrude from the wall a fair few inches, however it isnt a problem for me so i wouldnt mark it down for that.

I have a few of these, all similar models, this one came with harder rubber guards for thiner necks. Fits my jazz bass lovely. I also have the floor stand with the same drop yoke. Wouldnt have anything other than Hercules now, super safe and sturdy.
Solid
I bought a couple of these a few years ago, then another couple recently after additions to my guitar family. There are slightly cheaper options, but these are worth the extra. The mechanism is really solid and reliable, with the release feeling just right, and some rotation which allows the guitar to sit according to its weight distribution. They look good too (though you can judge that for yourself) and I’ve nothing to fault these on.

I use these for holding my electric guitars, but they easily sit far enough from the wall to accommodate the fattest-bodied acoustic.
The clever way that the weight of the guitar closes the retaining mechanism is what makes these the perfect choice. I have two already, and I’ll probably be buying more over the next few weeks.

I have four of these now, started with one and when I needed to add further hangers I saw no need to try any other brand. Reasonable cost, strong and easy to install with the security of pop up arms so hung guitars cannot be knocked off. Recommended.

I already have one of these and it’s lasted ten years with no problem. Really good quality and it’s impressive for the price. I also like that it has added parts for narrow necks which you can remove if not needed. Installation very easy too. Will be ordering more.

Bought two of these. I already have Hercules guitar stands so know they would be quality. Very easy to fix to a home made wall guitar mount. Might need a bit more work if fixed directly to a wall but had these fixed in 5 minutes.

This is great. Well built and clever design. I couldn’t trust the small supplied screws so I opened out the holes in the wood to 4mm and used some 60mm screws with beefy rawlplugs. Once up on the wall this works perfectly and its great being able to just grab the guitar and not have to balance it when you put it down, just hang it up! You may be a bit paranoid for a day or so but remember a guitar rarely wieghs more than 4kg which is bugger all really. Your kitchen cupboards full of plates and mugs are probably held up by only a few screws and they haven’t fallen off!

Good piece of kit. One reservation. Acoustic guitars fit great but my fender bass hangs like a wet rag. Three inch from the wall. Would be nice to adjust closer making it less likely to be knocked and swing like a pendulum possibly chipping my pride and joy.

Don’t get me wrong, it does the job and I have no issues with the device except trusting it the first few times you put an expensive guitar in it. But it’s been fine and it’s better than using floor space in a cradle…

Love these – I have a couple up in my house and they’re ideal for anyone who walks through their house, picks up a guitar randomly and walks around playing it. Gets the guitar on display and encourages you to play it.
I have a pretty small house so I wanted a solution to keep my guitar out of the way when I’m not using it. This hanger is a neat solution to that. It is solid and easy to install – just put a couple of rawl plugs in the wall and screw it on.
The only thing that I am mildly disappointed about is the distance it sticks out from the wall, this is quite a lot further than I was expecting. It has no mechanical downside, it just makes the guitar hang further away from the wall than is aesthetically pleasing.
From a practical perspective, the hanger is solid and has a handy mechanism that holds the guitar behind swivelling gates when the guitar’s weight is put on the hanger unit. This stops the guitar from slipping or being knocked off. When you lift the guitar up, the gates rotate out of the way for easy removal.
All-in-all quite a good bit of kit. I would highly recommend it.

I love this hanger. Keeps my guitar up off the floor, safe, away from the dog’s flappy ears and my 8yr old’s clumsy feet! It also keeps the guitar a comfortable distance from the wall, so I have no worries about the instrument being bashed. The locking mechanism is great too – secure, but instantly accessible. Love it.
Easy to fix
It’s very simple and hangs the guitar at the neck. Already assembled just needs fixing to a wall. Security.. Its inside the house.. Its got a good fix with no risk of the instrument falling. Comes with spacers for neck size.

Took a gamble and bought this for my Garrett Metal detector, does the job and is easy to put on and off my detector for storage.
Worth the money
This is really nicely made and easy to install.
The arms that hold the guitar pivot and are also spring loaded so two locking arms mean your guitar can’t fall out of the front(although in practice this is next to impossible it’s still nice to have)
There’s also a decent amount of rubber padding on the points that come into contact with the guitar.
Overall this is really well made, especially for the price. It makes your guitar look amazing and might even give you more motivation to play as you can easily lift this into and out of the hanger with one hand.

The security catches that further stop a guitar from falling off the hanger automatically move into place when a guitar is placed in position. When a guitar is lifted off, the hangers lift up and release the guitar.

This is a really nice bit of kit. Keeps your guitar very secure due to the locking mechanism, which stops the instrument being accidentally knocked off. Could really do with a wall fixing template, to help you mark on the wall where you need to drill ( the wooden bracket is too thick to put a pencil through ) I ended up making my own, hence the 4 star rating.
Apart from that, really good. I recommend.

Much improved on the old one. For a start it’s angled backwards so the guitar doesn’t slowly slide forwards towards the brackets that keep it in place on the hanger, thereby not putting stress on them. Mechanism appears to work better, feels more solid. On the whole I’d trust an expensive guitar to one of these. Mine holds a Loar 200 plus a ToneWoodAmp guitar effects unit, no issues.

Great wall hanger, although I did use my own longer screws.
It does the job nicely. Kind of chunky for a svelte banjo neck, but there you go. Also the banjo tuning keys touch onto the unit and so it is never in tune when you take it out. Ah the many tribulations of a banjo player!
