Decided to treat myself to a nice retractable garden hose. Wasn’t disappointed this Hozelock 30 miter hose is just so easy to use compared to a wind up reel. Only regret is not buying one earlier.
Like – everything so far, no leaks, no twisting, silent, winds and unwinds easily

Should have bought this sooner ! Very easy to pull out but occasionally i struggle to put it back. Think you need to be a bit more delicate & not pull quite so hard. Larger than i thought but super happy with it. Tidy & out the way.
Tidied up the limited space where hose was coiled up. Installation was easy enough but have troubles at ease of rewinding. Not sure if it is because it is new but have had to pull the entire house out several times just to get it to rewind smoothly. Time will tell if this rectifies itself.
Does exactly what you want it to and is vastly easier than the previous hand turned hose.
This is the business. Finally decided to get a decent wall mounted hose. Doesn’t tangle, I love the gliding back into the holder & very sturdy wall mounting. Recommend getting the hose gun as that makes using the hose easier.
Very pleased with this hose. It is a little heavy for me to extend, but then I am in the twilight years. The hose doesn’t fully retract if I forget to turn the tap off and operate the hose to release the pressure. Absolutely perfect piece of kit.

For years I’ve had a long hosepipe on a ground stand, which was a pain to wind up. The Auto Reel makes life easy. Although the pictorial installation instructions looked formidable, in practice it was just a case of screwing the bracket to the wall with the 4 screws provided, and installing the short hose used to connect to the tap. With wooden cladding I was worried that wall mounting would be risky, but the screws support the weight very well. In use the tension on the wind mechanism is probably stronger than ideal, but then it rewinds with ease.
Let’s be honest. If you water a lot you will be unwinding your hosepipe multiple times day after day, year after year.
This Hoselock 30 metre auto reel hosepipe attaches to a wall and really does make life easier. I have mine set at shoulder height. This way I can grab the end of the hose and walk up the garden with it for watering. The hosepipe will lock into whatever position you want.
When I am finished I give the hosepipe a tug, and then the auto reel mechanism starts to wind the hosepipe back into it’s place.
No more creases, no more kinks, and definitely no more hand winding!
I have started out with budget pipes over the years, then progressed into Hoselock and have upgraded from single hosepipes, to windable hosepipes, and now finally this, the king of their range. The auto reel.
So far I have used this a few dozen times. It simply works.
I have zero issues.
Assembly and wall mounting was very easy, even for me who isn’t the best at diy! I just aligned the bracket on the wall and used a spirit level placed on the top to get it level. Then I used a marker to mark the holes, and drilled to the right depth.
Overall in conclusion, it is what it is. A hosepipe.
Hoselock have earned a good name mainly and this product will definitely make your life easier.
Sure it’s a little extra money on the initial outlay but I can wholeheartedly say it is worth it.

Great to get 20 m hose and 30m hose to cover full garden from both sides. Hose retracts back easily which saves A great deal of time but don’t rush it. Smoother the better retraction.
Made our lives so much easier and have put on walls either side of house at shoulder height. Would fully recommend.
This is a very good hose and hose reel set and after putting off getting it for years I finally thought sod it and bought it. Another one of those things where you wish you had bought it years ago and saved all the messing around with loose hose pipes. It’s not cheap but then again nothing is cheap these days. Very good quality

We got two of these, one front, one back, and they are really good hose reels but could do with some kind of buffer between the reel and the wall.
Really pleased with this everything has become so much easier. I figure that if I don’t yank it and just take care pulling it out and putting it back then this will be a great purchase. No more tangled up hose or kinked hose. Swivel reel great for getting around back and front of house. No more neglecting to water the garden because I couldn’t be bothered doing battle with the hose. Car is cleaner too.
Easy to assemble. Heavy so if wall mounted id use alternative fixings to the wall.
Great swivel turns left and right when you do. Water comes out the end when you pull the trigger. Keeps the cats out!
Replacement unit for a standalone trolley type hose. easy to put on wall if you have even a little DIY experience. There is a template on the box which helps drill correct holes. I never use OEM wall plugs, i find store bought ones better quality but supplied plugs seem fine in this case.
One bracket is fixed to wall, remaining set up is simple. Hose is high quality and kink free unless tightly twisted. Spring loaded hose is tight to pull out of unit but rewinds with ease and rolls back completely each time.

I wish I’d bought this years ago, my 30m hose runs from the back of the house to the front where the cars are washed and garden watered. Life is so much easier having it recoil itself automatically rather than having to wind it manually onto a wall mounted spool.
For anyone that requires a hose of this length, this unit is a must. It also looks a lot neater mounted on the wall.
Works as you’d expect. Not sure how long the casing is going to last as seems a bit flimsy. Hose is quite hard to pull out especially if you’re taking most of it out. Auto rewind is quite good but sometimes it sticks half way and you need to take hose out again. Overall quite expensive for what it is but I still like i
Two screws to fit back plate, then lift on main body and lock in pin.once in place main reel can move in any direction when you pull out hose. The hose locks in place and when you want to retract hose just give it a pull to release and follow it back to the main housing. Very easy to install and use. Hozelock design is brilliant and they offer a great accessory range to complement this reel system. Make sure you measure out distance you need to cover before buying reel.
You need two people to install this. And I am annoyed that it leaks from the connector to the hose reel, and the nozzle is a bad fit and shoots of the hose. This is the whole reason why I bought hoze lock in the first place, I expected more from this company
Edit: I have noticed that is the water pressure is released from the hose then it will retract fully
The product itself is OK. But Hozelock seem to use a narrower hose than my Gardena hose I had been using, with Gardena sprinkler and hand spray nozzle. The result being that when I hook up the sprinkler to the Hozelock hose it produces only about 50% of the water pressure / reach. And the same for the Hozelock hose with Hozelock hand spray nozzle versus Gardena hose and Gardena hand spray nozzle.
Generally it does what is says on the box, with the exception of the retraction. The last 3 meters or so has to be tried several times to get it to retract completely.

onto the wall easy enough and works great but as it is 30 meters i found a drop in water pressure which is expected but still does not stop the item from working great… recommended!

Had the older version for the last 20yrs still worked but sun faded and becoming leaky and brittle. If this is as good quality then it’s really worth the money, tried cheaper hoses but they weren’t as resistant to twisting unlike hose lock. Defo recommend

I was worried about how heavy this product was but the four fixings into brickwork and the support arrangement are very sturdy. The tap connection hose is a good length. The unit swings freely on the bracket and the auto feed mechanism works great. Overall, impressed and pleased.

Take it out of the box drill 2 holes in the wall use the raw plugs and screws provided easy enough 10 minutes later up and running

The actual product from Hozelock is excellent,however the product I Received from Amazon had clearly been opened and all the fittings and attachments were missing.The after sales service from Hozelock was excellent and replacement parts were sent.Whoever supplied the item were clearly at fault.Hozelock themselves were excellent.

Returned for a full refund. The inconsistent auto rewind function became so irritating. On occasion the hose rewound as it should, but more often than not it wouldn’t fully rewind. It became an irritation, pulling the hose out time and again in the hope that the auto rewind would engage. Far too often it wouldn’t. Far from being an asset the rewind function was a time wasting liability that failed to work more times than it did. Not fit for purpose.
I’ve long wanted a wall mounted garden hose and picked this after lots of research. Bit concerned about reported leaking issues and problems with the spring return mechanism but after a month of use, it’s all been fine. Easy set up, the wall mounting seems very secure and easily being able to dismount from the wall bracket will be handy over the winter. So far, so good…

Really like this Hozelock rig, it was easy to install requiring 4 screw holes. Only down side is that the reel is fierce so you need to keep hold of it. Otherwise excellent.

Purchased to replace my old green Auto Reel. I thought I would be able to slip the new reel onto my old fitting however the new reel is so much smaller and compact and I am now very pleased I had to change the fitting. Excellent price from Amazon with delivery so much quicker than anticipated.

Really pleased with this hose. Simple to install and works as described. Useful that it swings 180 degrees so can use at front and back of property. Fittings a re good and stay connected where previous ones would sometimes disconnect spraying water everywhere.

The hose is quite soft and supple which can be an advantage in some respects but also means that it tends to kink easily – stopping the flow of water.
Mounted on the wall it’s not in way. My old hose reel was a nuisance, always seemed to be leaking and in the way. This one reels itself back without any problems.
Installation has to be solid as the reel is quite heavy.
A handy feature is that it lifts off of the mounting bracket and can be stored indoors during frosty weather.
I bought this to replace an older model which was leaking rather a lot, the new design is quieter to use and easy to pull out and when the hose is on return it glides smoothly and fully retracts easily, works better if the tap is off and the spray head is open to allow water to pass out thus reducing pressure in the hose.

I bought this for my Farther who is in his late 70’s. I’ve had one for years so when I noticed he was still using the type that you have to manually unravel and then spend a frustrating amount of time getting the hose back onto a loose non-fixed reel, I decided it was time for an upgrade. That was a few weeks ago and my Father keeps mentioning how easy it is to use. His words, “I cant believe I was struggling for all those years not knowing something like this was available! It is so easy to use and watering the garden or washing the cars is now more of a pleasure than a chore!”.

I debated for a long while as to the need for this. now very pleased to have it. Easy to install and use but be careful if you have a lot of corners that you need to take the hose round and think very carefully where best to place it.
Item good, but when you put item away you must turn tap off and expel the water as otherwise seems to not want to roll away.
The reel arrived before expected and was easy to install using the wall bracket and fixings provided. The reel only comes with one basic hose adapter so had to buy a water gun separately. There is some self assembly for the inlet hose but this is quite straightforward. Overall very happy.

Buy one you won’t regret it! Brilliant hose and would highly recommend. Very easy to attach to the wall as long as you use the right drill bit and best screwed into the bricks not the mortar. Very easy to use and ideal that you can move the reel to the left or right once attached to the wall. Easy to reel the hose out and back in and saves having a hose trailing round the garden and having to wind a hose in by hand!
Quality is excellent, installation is straightforward with the right tools. The more you pull the hose out the heavier it feels and harder to extract. Be carful when you retract the hose as it’s quite fast!

We have had a 30M manual Hoselock Real for the last 20 years and it has never let us down. However the hose was showing years of wear and tear so we decided to purchase a new one.
After loads of hunting and considering other brands we went with Hoselock again.
I cannot fault this auto wind 30M hosepipe. It was so easy to install and is so so simple to use.
The hose pulls out easy and retracts with a positive action, hold on to it as you walk it back – it has a very positive recoil.
Early days but if this Hoselock serves me as well as my last one I will be one happy customer agai

Agree with many other reviewers who complained about the screws provided., they are rubbish. Had a hell of a job fixing it to the wall. The wall attachment needs to be redesigned so that a drill/screwdriver can be used, more of an x shape. Fingers crossed that it doesn’t fall of the wall anytime soon!!!
