not connected so you have to do that yourself. Otherwise reasonably easy to connec

Little bit on pricey side if you want to moan about anything but good quality reel, the storage isn’t internal so don’t be fooled like I was its just clips on the outside for basic attachments

I was worried about how heavy this product was but the four fixings into brickwork and the support arrangement are very sturdy. The tap connection hose is a good length. The unit swings freely on the bracket and the auto feed mechanism works great. Overall, impressed and pleased.

Take it out of the box drill 2 holes in the wall use the raw plugs and screws provided easy enough 10 minutes later up and running

The actual product from Hozelock is excellent,however the product I Received from Amazon had clearly been opened and all the fittings and attachments were missing.The after sales service from Hozelock was excellent and replacement parts were sent.Whoever supplied the item were clearly at fault.Hozelock themselves were excellent.

Quality dropped slightly. Doesn’t retract fully and locking mechanism poor.

Strongly made and works well.
The hose is quite soft and supple which can be an advantage in some respects but also means that it tends to kink easily – stopping the flow of water.

I bought this to replace an older model which was leaking rather a lot, the new design is quieter to use and easy to pull out and when the hose is on return it glides smoothly and fully retracts easily, works better if the tap is off and the spray head is open to allow water to pass out thus reducing pressure in the hose.

Had this over 6 months now , easy to instal although brackets looks flimsy so far all good and is used daily for plants paddling pool cars etc . Always goes back in easy . Bit heavy but I have arthritis is my hands which make things difficult but not with this . Kids n grandma find it easy to use to

Simple to install & simple to use
I bought this for my Farther who is in his late 70’s. I’ve had one for years so when I noticed he was still using the type that you have to manually unravel and then spend a frustrating amount of time getting the hose back onto a loose non-fixed reel, I decided it was time for an upgrade. That was a few weeks ago and my Father keeps mentioning how easy it is to use. His words, “I cant believe I was struggling for all those years not knowing something like this was available! It is so easy to use and watering the garden or washing the cars is now more of a pleasure than a chore!”.

I debated for a long while as to the need for this. now very pleased to have it. Easy to install and use but be careful if you have a lot of corners that you need to take the hose round and think very carefully where best to place it.

The reel arrived before expected and was easy to install using the wall bracket and fixings provided. The reel only comes with one basic hose adapter so had to buy a water gun separately. There is some self assembly for the inlet hose but this is quite straightforward. Overall very happy.

After loads of hunting and considering other brands we went with Hoselock again.
I cannot fault this auto wind 30M hosepipe. It was so easy to install and is so so simple to use.
The hose pulls out easy and retracts with a positive action, hold on to it as you walk it back – it has a very positive recoil.

Agree with many other reviewers who complained about the screws provided., they are rubbish. Had a hell of a job fixing it to the wall. The wall attachment needs to be redesigned so that a drill/screwdriver can be used, more of an x shape. Fingers crossed that it doesn’t fall of the wall anytime soon!!!

Bought it to replace an older – leaking – version. All straightforward to install – it even used the same wall fittings. Only downside is that the shield plate on the back (it covers where the feed hose enters the reel) keeps coming adrift.

I have bought many Hozelock products over the years and have never been disappointed so I was surprised to read comments like “the hose once fitted to the wall came crashing down”, “the product leaked everywhere” and the “Hozelock will not retract”. So I had some doubts about buying this Hozelock. Had my current hose, which I was replacing not been from Hozelock, I may not have bought this model. My previous manual wind in model had served me well for over 20 years. I am getting old and sometimes found it difficult to wind in the hose completely and thought I would replace the garden hose with this auto reel Hozelock. I had no trouble fitting it to the outside wall of the house, connecting the water supply and pulling out the hose. I have been using it regularly for two weeks now as we have a garden rescue team in re-organising the back garden. So far, no leaks and the hose has remained firmly attached to the wall. What I particularly like is the ease with which the unit swivels so the hose can be used in both front and back gardens. The auto rewind has worked perfectly.
Perhaps I am biased, but from my experience so far with this product, I think it deserves a 5 star rating. I am prepared to revisit this review if I have problems.

Bought this mostly to have the long length of hose without having to manually wind it back in every night.
Obviously, it’s not much in use this weather, but I’ve used it enough to know that it works, and it’s also much neater hanging on the wall than a free-standing reel.

Really tidy hose reel
I am very satisfied with this item so far. It is extremely tidy with the reel folding back on a hinge to lie flat against the wall. It’s also easy to use with a ratchet engaging about every 1.5 metres Stooping the hose from coiling back. When you want to reel it in you just pull and release and a spring rewinds the hose with a feeder arrangement making sure it is rewound without tangle. Excellent design!

It’s also easy to use with a ratchet engaging about every 1.5 metres Stooping the hose from coiling back. When you want to reel it in you just pull and release and a spring rewinds the hose with a feeder arrangement making sure it is rewound without tangle. Excellent design!
Great product but 30m of hose is too much for it to properly handle.
A great product for design and quality but 30m of hose is just too much for it to properly handle. When auto-retracting, it gets difficult towards the end with the hose stopping and not wanting to go in; the rolled hose diameter gets too large and starts jamming. Releasing any hose pressure helps alleviate the problem but it still needs some coaching in.
On the other hand, I also purchased the 20m model and it works a treat; the rolled diameter does not cause an issue.

Great product and retracts well. The fixings are not substantial enough and had to buy others.

easy to install and very compact. makes use of hose easier and stores well. Much tidier garden.
