This chain is tough and heavy. Someone would really have to work at stealing bike. I got the longest length and I am barely able to get it thru bike wheel and around 5th wheel rv leg. Wish it was just a little longer.

Ein gutes Schloß
Jedes Schlo kann geknackt werden und eine Diebstahlsversicherung ist trotz jeder Sicherung nahezu unerlsslich. Dieses Schlo macht es aber den Ttern schwer und um es zu knacken braucht man einige Zeit.
Vorteilhaft ist, dass durch die die textile Umhllung keine Kratzer am Rahmen entsehen.

Solide, schwere Qualitä
Verwende es fr mein neues E-Bike. Dafr finde ich jedoch, ist es zu schwer. Als Motorrad-Schloss ganz sicher passender. Solide gebaut, von hoher Qualitt, soweit ich das beurteilen kann.
Catena all'apparenza robusta
La catena molto spessa e la chiusura della serratura appare solida, l’ho acquistata per proteggere la mia e-bike che comunque non lascer mai legata in posti isolati e poco affollati.
Ho visto comunque nelle altre recensioni che anche questa catena stata recisa, quindi inutile dire che nessun dispositivo sicuro ed efficace se la bici lasciata nel posto sbagliato.
Buon deterrente, però pesante
il peso non trascurabile, se avete una bici in lega leggera, questa catena la sentirete.
Se per la usate su una bici elettrica, i suoi quasi 3 kg rispetto ai 25 della bici saranno non influenti.
Premesso che con tempo e attrezzi qualsiasi lucchetto si pu aprire, in questo caso prenderebbe pi tempo rispetto ad altre “prede facili”. Il meccanismo di chiusura funziona bene, e con la lunghezza di 90cm mi trovo bene. Pi corta sarebbe un problema, pi lunga aumenterebbe il peso… 3 chiavi in dotazione!

Das Schloss ist eine Ansage! Sehr schwer und gut verarbeitet. Fr Fahrrder fast schon zu fett, aber es geht. Motorrder lassen sich damit auf jeden Fall sichern. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Der LockpickingLawyer nutzt es selbst, siehe YouTube. Schweres Schloss. Wer ein leichtes Rad hat, fr den ist das nichts. Ich habe oft den Fahrradanhnger dabei und da spielt das Gewicht keine Rolle.
I’m assuming that if someone really wanted to steal my bike they can still do so with a grinder but this chain makes it difficult and with the bike alarm it won’t be easy

Based on a number of youtube bike lock reviews where they are cutting them off with battery powered angle grinders, this one got top marks. Also the YT LockPickingLawyer chose this one for his bike. Do your own research…but I think this is as good as it gets.
Mine is about 16″ in diameter, which seems be the sweet spot between convenient to carry and weight. It’s heavy enough with those thick links, can’t imagine carrying a longer one. One good point made in my research was that the wobbly nature of the chain makes it hard to hold the grinder in one spot…as opposed to the u-locks.
I like the design of this one where there is no traditional padlock with a “U” shape. There is nothing long enough to attach a big vice. A determined thief with enough time on their hands can get through anything. You really just want to make them move onto a different bike nearby that is easier to steal.
I did read a few reports where folks had trouble with this key getting difficult to turn as time went on. They built in a sliding keyhole rain cover to this unit, and I plan to add lubricant if it ever gets stiff…as I do to my car door locks.
I bought this for my unicycle, but if I’d planned on using it for a bicycle, I might have opted for a longer chain. I can’t carry much weight on the uni…and I only have one wheel to worry about.

Kryptonite Keeper looked fine, but I wanted more security.

4.5/5 very good lock just be VERY gentle with inserting the key everytime you want to unlock it. i personally lock it around the handlebars while not in use but you can also wrap it around a bike frame too. it is heavy however so make sure you lock it tight or it will shift while your cycling and bang against your frame.
when locking it up to say a pole/lampost or any bike poll i would suggest grabbing the locking mechanism with your right hand and with your left hand feed it through your middle pillar of your bike frame and go through the rear wheel and you can do this twice with the second loop lining up with your lock and inserting the key to lock it into place.

Conoscevo gi questa catena che io utilizzo per la mia e-bike. Non mi sono per nulla pentito dell’acquisto e consiglio sicuramente questo prodotto per usi analoghi

50 Schloss Klopper. Bolzenschneider bekam es nicht auf. Selbst der ganz Groe auf dem Boden aufgesetzt. Eine Flex kommt natrlich problemlos durch aber das ist bei allen Schlssern so. Flex ist der Endgegner. Der Hersteller gibt sogar Garantie von 10 Jahren und 1 Jahr eine kostenlose Versicherung falls das Rad doch geklaut wird.

La catena molto solida, presa scontata non costava neanche tanto. La uso per la bici e con questa si pu star certi che salvo utilizzando una smerigliatrice angolare sar difficile che la bici venga rubata. Inoltre possibile registrare il codice della propria chiave sul sito del produttore per riceverne una copia gratuitamente in caso la si dovesse perdere.

L’ho comprato perch conosco il marchio, molto affidabile, come si sa non esiste nulla sicuro al 100% ma sicuramente con questa catena i ladri avranno da lavorare.
Mein 2000 teures Rennrad, das leider nur mit einem 0815 Kabelschloss gesichert war (lol, und das in Frankfurt, selbst Schuld), wurde mir leider geklaut. Da hat auch der GPS Tracker nichts gebracht. Da es versichert war, wurde es zum Glck ersetzt.
Ich habe mich daraufhin dazu entschieden, in Sachen Sicherheit nun richtig auszurasten und potentiellen Dieben das Leben so richtig zur Hlle zu machen, falls sie noch mal auf die Idee kommen sollten.
Mich nur auf ein einziges Schloss zu verlassen wre mir noch zu einfach gewesen. Daher habe ich mir gleich !3! hochsichere Schlsser verschiedener Arten zugelegt:
1. Kryptonite New York Fahgettaboudit Mini (Sold Secure Diamond und ART 4 zertifiziert, Sicherheitsstufe 10/10)
2. Kryptonite 808 Kettenschloss Chain 1090 (Sold Secure Gold zertifiziert, Sicherheitsstufe 8/10)
3. Tex-Lock 2.0 eyelet Textilschloss (Sold Secure Gold und ART 2 zertifiziert)
Ich denke, da hat keiner von diesen Lieferwagenbanden Lust, sich die Zhne auszubeien!
Nun zum Schloss selbst:
– Man bekommt das Schloss inklusive 3 Schlssel geliefert. Eines der Schlssel verfgt ber eine kleine Taschenlampe, was fr nachts sehr praktisch ist. Das Licht ist auch schn hell.
– Ja, den Schlssel bekommt man ein wenig schwieriger wie gewohnt in das Schloss. Das ist der “lock pick protection” von Kryptonite geschuldet, man sollte eigentlich froh ber diesen Sicherheitsmechanismus sein. Im Alltag habe ich damit eigentlich keine Probleme, man gewhnt sich sehr schnell daran.
– Die Schlssel selbst machen einen robusten Eindruck. Wenn man nicht allzu viel falsch macht, sollten sie eigentlich nicht verbiegen.
– Man kann die Kette ganz leicht um die Lenkstange herumgewickelt transportieren.
– Das Schloss sollte regelmig (ca. 1x im Monat) mit WD-40 gereinigt und mit Schmiermittel, z.B. Finish Line Teflon, geschmiert werden.
– Der Schliemechanismus ist sehr leichtlufig. Das kann den negativen Nebeneffekt haben, dass sich der Schlssel bei der De-/Montage verdreht, sodass man den Bgel nicht direkt in die Halterung einfhren kann, sondern den Schlssel erst wieder in die richtige Position zurckdrehen muss. Daher entferne ich den Schlssel whrenddessen meistens.
Ich hatte mit dem anderen Kryptonite Schloss einen kleinen Defekt, kann daher etwas konstruktives zum Kundensupport sagen. Er war extrem hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend und hat mir innerhalb weniger Tage das defekte Schloss ersetzt. Die Kommunikation war allerdings auf Englisch (was fr mich kein Problem ist).
Mein Fazit:
Man muss aufgrund der Sicherheit schon mit kleineren Abstrichen leben, an die man sich jedoch schnell gewhnt. Allerdings ist dies tausendmal besser als ein geklautes Fahrrad. Glaubt es mir 😉 Ich wrde das Schloss immer wieder kaufen. Verlasst euch aber niemals auf nur ein Schloss, wenn ihr ein hochwertiges Bike habt!

I woke up this morning to find a scattered set of broken tools and a bent car jack pressing against my lock. Someone had wedged the jack between the pole and the lock, tried to break it with sheer force, but the jack crumpled before the lock broke. 10/10.
Heavy, very sturdy chain and lock. Really feels like my bike is secure. Only problem the piece you insert (end of chain) into the locking device has to be perfectly inserted or the key wont turn, and you won't be able to lock the lock.

Better than my cheap Argos lock
Had an Argos lock that cost 15 and the lock broke in two with a shear line down the metal, decided to get something better instead of buying chep all the time. This is well worth it but as everyone says it is very heavy its the heaviest lock you would feel comfortable using on a bicycle.

Das Schloss ist wirklich sehr robust und wertig. Fr unter 60 Euro das Beste, was man bekommen kann. Die Fummelei mit dem Schlssel kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Wenn man nicht gerade 2 linke Hnde und ein wenig Gefhl, sperrt es korrekt.

Kryptonite est une des rfrences mon got pour scuriser les vlos. Chane un peu lourde (je le savais avant de commander) mais trs efficace et dissuasive. La longueur de 90cm est idal. Je l’utilise en complment d’un U de la mme marque pour attacher mon VAE.

I bought this at great expense after it was recommended by the lock picking lawyer on YouTube. There’s a chain inside the sheath that makes it extremely difficult to cut with anything, including a disk grinder and it can’t be shimmed. That man can get into any lock made rather quickly and easily and so when he recommends something, it’s going to be very good indeed. Yes, he can pick this but your average bike thief never will. If you’ve got something to protect, this is about the best out there.

Per ora funziona
Usata in combinazione con un lucchetto ad U, lego questa catena a ruota e telaio della bici, occasionalmente anche ad un palo. Finora nessuno mi ha rubato la ruota anteriore ma credo non ci abbiano nemmeno provato.
Ovviamente sia una catena come questa che un lucchetto ad U possono essere facilmente tagliati con un flessibile, quindi se dovete usarla per biciclette costose (tipo e-bike) dovete come minimo abbinarla ad un lucchetto ad U da moto, idealmente un Altor SAF ma forse andr bene anche uno SkunkLock. Anche con uno di questi per il ladro potrebbe sempre tagliare il palo a cui avete legato la bici.

I like the length and flexibility of this lock. It appears very sturdy and has, so far, protected my bike. I know from past experience, a lock seems great until the day it is thwarted, but so far I have confidence.
It is very heavy! And, kind-of large. And it rattles around if attached to the bike while riding. I would prefer a small u-lock but that won’t work with my current bike so this seems to be a good alternative.

I bought this for my new electric bike! I thought it was a bit excessive but I really feel safe locking it up anywhere I go. It is very heavy but I loop it on the frame while I ride it so I don't notice. it comes with a bunch of keys and even a key with a built in light if you're riding at night. Love it!

Very good, still feels new after a year's use
I’ve been using chain locks for about 15 years, mostly to lock motorbikes. This is perfect for my bicycle.
Very well made, finish is excellent, it feels new or nearly-new after a year. It’s quite easy to use; this is a good length to lock frame and rear wheel to a solid object. I have always been able to do that with this chain. You might get away with a shorter one, but I like the flexibility. To carry it, I wrap it around the seat post, locking it to my rear rack in a manner that keeps it clear of my rear mudguard. I pair it with a Kryptonite New York Standard U-lock, also excellent. These locks may have a deterrent quality too, because no-one has even tried to steal my bicycle.
The only drawback with this chain is that the lock mechanism is a little bit frustrating to use. The internal bolt will engage after only about a quarter turn of the key. It makes the lock fiddly and difficult to use, because you’ll be trying to engage the bolt but without realising it, you’ve already turned the key far enough to have closed the bolt too early. It must happen to me nearly every day. If you had to turn the key further, like one full rotation, to engage the bolt, it would be a lot easier. But this is a small thing.
Overall I think it’s an excellent chain lock and also good value for such a great lock.

La catena di per s solida ma pesante e qualche volta difficile da aprire a causa della sua lunga serratura. Non facile neppure inserire l’anello nel lucchetto visto che parzialmente coperto dalla gomma e, quando fa freddo, l’operazione non molto agevole. In compenso ha un assicurazione suplettiva, a pagamento per, che assicura il mezzo fino a 5 anni.

Acheter pour protger mon vlo et franchement nickel. Le seul test que je n’espre pas rencontr serait la tentative de vol.
Penser lubrifier la canon de serrure car il arrive pas spcialement lubrifier et cela vite de casser la cl l’intrieur.
La chane est Lourde, c’est prendre en compte au moment de l’achat 2,77kgs, faite le test avant l’achat. Sachant que le poids semble tre un motif de sa solidit.
Schwere Qualität und Job-Bike geeigne
Wir benutzen es um ein Job-Bike anzuketten, das laut Versicherung erst ab einem Schlopreis von 49 versichert ist.
Das Gewicht ist gewhnungsbedrftig und der Schlssel ziemlich lang.
Alternativ habe ich noch ein Trelock TipTop Kettenschlo mit 110cm, das 20 cm lnger ist und noch etwas schwerer ist.
Meine Frau hat das etwas leichtere und schickere Kryptonite Schlo gefallen und kommt mit den 90cm klar. Meist kettet sie ihr Rad einfach an meinen Rahmen und ich kmmer mich ums anketten an den Radstnder.
20cm sind da doch bequemer.
Kryptonite hat das Schloss auf der Lngsseite und Trelock an der Stirnseite.
Macht aus meiner Sicht kein Unterschied.
Die Lnge ist gerade noch lang genug fr ein Laternenpfahl oder es an ein anderes Rad zu ketten.
Hatte noch ein Falt und Bgelschlo ausprobiert, die sind aber zu ungelenk fr den Fahrad Alltag.

I got 2 of these locks for our electric bikes. Yes they are heavy but it would take a professional awhile to cut through these thus providing the opportunity to catch them.
We pair this lock with an electronic alarm…a $20 investment that alarms when the bike is moved. So with both it’s quite a deterrent.
Bought for my very expensive mountain bike that I store in my condo’s garage. Our garage is pretty secure with cameras and a gate, but I live in a big city and we’ve had our share of incidents. I didn’t feel comfortable so I kept my bike in a storage locker I needed anyway. When I didn’t need the locker anymore I was looking for the added security of a really tough bike lock vs. keeping it in our place. When I saw the lock picking lawyer used this on his bike I knew it was the right one. I can see why and feel totally safe keeping my bike on the rack. My biggest concern now is to not lose the keys because this would be such a pain!

Hi, ich wei, dass man dieses Schloss knacken kann, aber es ist nicht einfach. Und das tolle Extra ist: Ich kann es als durchschnitts-schlanker Mann noch um die Hfte wickeln. Bisher ist alles einwandfrei gelaufen. Das Schloss ist nur etwas gewhnungsbedrftig beim Abschlieen. Man muss “wissen wie”, sonst ruckelt es sich fest, gerade beim Umschnallen um den Bauch habe ich einige Zeit gebraucht, bis ich den dreh raus hatte.
Heavy but sturdy
There is a reason that this is one of the top recommended bike locks by the “Lock Picking Lawyer” (See YouTube). It’s weighty but that’s always the trade-off with a decent bike lock.
My only reservation is the short registration window to register the lock and the bike you’ll be locking it with as I’m still waiting on delivery of my new bike a couple of months later, hopefully I can register it out of the window but even if I can’t I’m still hoping the lock will discourage any attempted theft as the bikes either side should be easier targets!

Great Bike Lock
What can I say?
It does the job, but it’s a bit heavy on the other side.
It is not hard to use, but I gave it three stars for this as the key way is not as rugged as a padlockmeaning do take a little care inserting the key.
Security wise it should be excellent. YouTube’s “Lock Picking Lawyer” held it in some praise (that’s good enough for me) and without special pick tools and skill it will defeat all opportunist thiefs. No lock or device will stop a determined pro with a cordless angle grinder of course, but grinding a chain has to have two chops and a chain notoriously hops about making it difficult. ‘D’ or ‘U’ clamps are easier to grind through. Bolt cutters might do itbut its a 10mm chain so they’d have to be real big ones.
The drawback..apart from a hefty 60 pounds GBP is the also hefty weightalmost 3Kg. Nearly half the weight of a top end road bike, but no problem for an e-bike or moped to carry.
Out for a bike ride?Leave this big chain at home. Going to the shops for fifteen minutes and your bike is your baby? Take this monster of a protector with you or hire an armed body guard for your bike.

Good solid chain lock the key is much easier to use than my old Kryptonite chain and it looks equally impressive as a deterrent to would be thieves but I know from experience they are a determined bunch of “characters” for want of a better word.
Bon cadenas de manire gnrale. Il est pais (mais lourd) et respire la solidit. Il est livr avec 3 cls dont une avec une led bleue qui permet d’illuminer le trou de la serrure dans la nuit. Hlas la serrure est rcalcitrante et il m’arrive de tenter 4 5 fois avant d’enfoncer la cl dans la serrure pour ouvrir ou fermer le cadenas (j’ai galement le mme problme avec un cadenas un U de la mme marque). Enfin d’un point de vue solidit, j’espre n’avoir jamais exprimenter sa robustesse (selon le constructeur c’est un 8/10 selon l’chelle de ce dernier). J’espre que cet avis vois aidera.

Great solid lock and very secure. but much to heavy to carry with you on a Bicycle its a lock you would leave somewhere chained up then lock the bike up every day not carry around with you evert day it just weighs to much.

The locking mechanism works well, just make sure the key is all the way in. Seems robust and fits into a rucksack easily to take out and about. Obviously not light to carry around, but gets the balance between reasonable security and usability.

This thing is solid. It must be the bane of every bike thief. Of course like all locks it can eventually be broken into but due to the moving parts and thick metal links, this would be a real challenging lock to break. It does have its cons though. It is pretty heavy but that is as expected if you want a solid lock. The chain can be a little fiddly to actually loop through your frame and wheels. A D lock is much quicker to lock up. I also found that the fabric really doesn’t hold up and it will fray over time so don’t expect it to look great forever. In addition, the fabric loves to pick up grease from my chain which means 80% of the time I pick it up I get a grease stain on my hand. This can be fixed by washing the chain I suppose. I still would strongly recommend this lock if you want good security for the bike.

1 year insurance for lock + whatever locked is nice. Chain is sturdy. Even with the bigger 35″ size, the chain is smaller than anticipated (I didn’t measure what I needed and the chain clearly measures as advertised) but is luckily perfect for my thick bike/weird lock points. The smaller size wouldn’t have worked for me.
Locking mechanism is fine. Other reviews talk about how difficult it is because they’ve never used a Disc-Style cylinder. The way to align these is with the key. So….jiggle the key / rotate it as you insert. Simple. Takes so little time it’s insane any comments on this review section even bring it up.
No lock/chain is perfect. I bought this with the awareness that if a determined enough person were to go at whatever I have locked, they will get it given enough time. However, this appears to be a big enough of a headache to get around that I can only wish whoever steals my things luck since they wanted it much more than I did. Someone’s going to have to angle grind / torch this thing off and for my < 1hour stops I don't have too much worry.

Sturdy and protected chain. Isn’t as heavy as it looks but i carry this and a kryptonite New York D/U lock. Always carry a good U/D lock and chain combo with extension locks for wheels.
Evolution Beast!
My full suspension bike was stolen as I thought it is a safe neighborhood and thefts don’t happen that often. I used middle range lock but later I saw hoe bad decision it was to use 30-40e locks on 1000+ EUR bike. My rule now is that there is no lock that can protect your bike in all situations, no matter how much you pay it, it is just a matter how much time and place thieves have. Therefore I bought both Evolution 4 and NY Fahgettabouit U Lock. They are pricey (ca 140e for both), also not that lightweight to carry, but they do their job perfectly so far and I sleep well again without worrying about bikes.
For the everyday usage I use mostly Evolution series 4 as it is longer than U lock and could be used in more places where I need to leave the bike.
For places where possible to use properly, I use New York Fahgettaboutit U lock which is 10/10 security and also super easy to use.
Both locks have 1 year free anti-theft protection on the Kryptonite website, and I would definitely recommend them both if you want to invest once and forget about it.

Das Schloss ist sehr hochwertig verarbeitet und sowohl die Kette und der Zylinder machen einen sehr robusten und hoffentlich abschreckenden Eindruck auf Gelegenheitsdiebe. Laut dem Youtube Kanal “lockpicking lawyer” ist das Schloss eins der sicherern. Das hat fr mich auch den Ausschlag zum Kauf gegeben. Ich hoffe das es sicher genug ist, um mein ebike zu sichern. Der Service von kyptonite ist sehr ordentlich, man kann die Schlsselnummern registrieren und bei Bedarf welche nachbestellen. Es sind auch 3 Schlssel beim Schloss dabei. Einer mit blauer LED.
Die negativen Bewertungen bzgl. des schliezylinders kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Wenn die Metallscheiben verdreht sind, kann man das durch leichtes Hin und her drehen des Schlssels ohne Probleme die Scheiben wieder in die richtige Position bringen. Mit etwas Feingefhl berhaupt kein Problem. Die Mechanismus ist so auf jeden Fall deutlich sicherer als ein gewhnliches Schloss.
I wanted to park my new bike in a not very secure area (local shopping centre. Allenton, Derby), and wanted another lock that would at the very least, prove a challenge to a determined bike thief. Now, I’m no expert but this beauty fits that bill. Granted it is heavy, but heavy in this case is good. The chain links are nice and big and chunky, and are covered in a nice cover. Lock takes a little bit of getting used to, but is easy enough to use. Has a nice weather proof cover. Three keys are provided, one with a little light, which is great. Would it stop a professional utltra determined bike thief? Probably not, but it would slow them down a lot (hopefull). Haven’t had my bike nicked yet anyway (This maybe because the bike is a cheap as chips model, though:)

Non c’ molto da dire, la Kryptonite garanzia di qualit…la catena solidissima e gi dal suo peso ti fa capire che non si tratta di un prodotto di bassa categoria. La utilizzo come antifurto della moto e si pu legare ad un palo, ma anche soltanto alla moto rende comunque impossibile qualsiasi trasporto della stessa (a meno che non la carichino cos com’ su un furgone, ma insomma parliamo di eventualit abbastanza estreme e poco probabili…)

Sehr stabiles und hochwertiges (schweres) Schloss
Ich habe das Schloss fr unseren Schrebergarten gekauft, in den leider vor einigen Tagen eingebrochen wurde. Das Gartentorschloss wurde dabei nicht beschdigt, vielmehr haben die Tter das Tor hochgehebelt. Um das zu verhindern, habe ich nun das Schloss angebracht; auch in der Hoffnung, dass es aufgrund seiner auch optisch ansprechenden Masse” zustzlich abschreckt.
Das Gewicht ist stattlich, interessiert mich jedoch im Schrebergarten nicht. Wer das Schloss fr ein Fahrrad verwendet und mit sich fhrt, der hat hier mit Sicherheit viel Zusatzgewicht zu tragen.
Probleme (wie von anderen Personen beschrieben) beim ffnen und Schlieen haben wir nicht; ganz im Gegenteil, die Schlssel gleiten nahezu ohne Haken komplett ins Schloss. Einmal waren zwei der Scheiben im Schloss etwas verschoben; das hat sich mit vorsichtigem Druck jedoch sofort gelst.
Toll finde ich auch, dass man eine Schutzkappe ber die Schlieung schieben kann; das schtzt vor Verschmutzungen.
Es werden drei Schlssel mitgeliefert; einer mit LED Licht (was aber eher wirkungslos ist).
Ich wrde es sofort wiederkaufen und hoffe, dass wir nun wieder Ruhe im Schrebergarten haben.
Das Eisenschwein unter den Fahhradschlösse
Ich hab es mir gekauft, weil meine Fahhradversicherung ein Markenschloss vorschreibt und die Abus-Konkurrenz war mir zu teuer. Dieses Schloss ist lang genug um das Rad einmal anzuschieen. Vorder- und Hinterrad wird damit allerdings schon nichts mehr.
Das Gewicht ist sehr hoch, aber Sicherheit geht in dem Bereich nur ber die Masse. Sprich man verlngert die Zeit die ein Dieb braucht um es zu knacken. Und 10mm gehrteten Stahl muss man erstmal mit ner Akku-Flex durchbekommen. Ich schtze unter besten Bedingungen dauert das schon mehrere Minuten. Und dann biegt sich so ein 10mm Kettenglied ja nicht einfach auf. Man wird mindestens einen zweiten Schnitt machen mssen. 😉
Kleine und mittlere Bolzenschneider haben gar keine Chance, weil sich ihr Maul nicht genug weitet. Groe Bolzenschneider werden Probleme mit der 6eckigen Geometrie der Kettenglieder haben. Da rutscht hoffentlich das Kettenglied eher raus, als das es aufschert. So zumindest die Theorie.
Der Schlssel ist manchmal etwas hakelig. Aber daran hab ich mich schon gewhnt.
Alles in allem ein schweres aber auch, zumindest gefhlt, sehr sicheres Schloss!

Recommended by youtube’s lockpicking lawyer, this is great. I couldn’t decide whether to go for the short (90cm) or long (160cm) version. I bought 2 short ones, since they can be linked together to make a long one. This gave me more flexibility (I have a bicycle and motorcycle) and cost less than one long version.

Das Schloss macht einen sehr stabilen Eindruck, die Verriegelung funktioniert einwandfrei. Was man aber wissen sollte, es wiegt gefhlt 100KG. Es ist wirklich sehr schwer, Die Glieder sind massiv, man sollte wirklich beim An und Abschliessen beide Hnde am Schloss haben, ein Schwenker gegen das nackte Schienbein ist deutlich sprbar. Um den Hals tragen geht auch nur begrenzt, also bis zum Biergarten, einen Berg damit hochradeln wrde ich nicht wollen. Ich denke aber es ist einfach der Sicherheit geschuldet, Eisensge und Bolzenschneider haben glaube keine Chance in kurzer Zeit, Akkuflex wahrscheinlich eher. Ich schliesse mein Fahrrad damit immer ziemlich hoch an, damit ein Bolzenschneider keine Bodenauflageflche bietet.

This Kryptolock we purchased for my wife's new e-bike. It is rock solid and tough as nails. It is a very heavy lock so be prepared to transport it in a bag or basket on your bike rack. It is also a bit difficult to lock due to its weight so you have to hold it into place while trying to insert one end into the locking mechanism. All in all a very solid lock and should definitely be an excellent theft deterrant.

Well It looks like very solid and the key is very easy to open and lock bcz I had many concerns about that .i have an ebike so no worry about carrying it .i didnt use it yet but from what I can see my ebike will be very protected bcz I'm buying another one and I already bought an alarm and I am going to buy a tracking GPS so with 2 kryptonite solid chains you have to work hard to steal my ebike .

Someone broke into our apartment bike room and tried stealing my e-bike. However, he could not cut through the lock. All of the other bikes in our bike room with Kryptonite locks were also still secured. Also, the lock still funtions!(I will be buying another one though.)
This is the second Kryptonite lock I have owned over the past years and have never been dissapointed. The only con about this is my neighbor who did not have a Kryptonite lock had his bike stolen. He is getting a Kryptonite for his next lock now.

My bike has been stolen before so I wanted to get a chain lock + d lock combination to really deter theives. It doesn’t mean my bike is totally safe (if they have the time, effort and hardy tools, theives can get through any lock), but it’ll hopefully make them think “not today”. I was concerned that the lock would feel too heavy, but it’s not too bad. I would likely commute with it on my handlebar as having both locks in my backpack would feel too heavy. I wanted to show you how you could wrap it around your handlebar if you wanted to. Hope this helps!

Utilizzo questa catena per la mia bici, in citt. Non la lascio mai troppo tempo incustodita, ma con questa catena sono pi sereno. Il peso fa sentire che la costruzione solida, e non permette facili tagli ad eventuali ladri. La trovo particolarmente comoda perch mentre sono in bici, posso legarmi la catena in vita, senza doverla mettere in uno zaino e in questo modo non si avverte il peso. Altro motivo per cui sceglierla, al momento dell’acquisto si pu registrare sul sito Kryptonite la catena e la propria bici sar assicurata in caso di furto.

Make no mistake, this thing is heavy. But that’s the point; it’s not going to succumb to a destructive attack. Bolt croppers won’t mark it. Even an angle grinder will be difficult and will take a long time to cut through it. The lock is the disc detainer sort, and your everyday bike thief is not going to be able to pick it. Picking requires a lot of skill and the use of specialised tools, and takes time.

Have no idea how easy is to break or cut this stuff but it feels solid, safe, and luxurious. Kryptonite offers free key replacement in case of loss and som sort of anti-theft protection. Pretty expensive though. No 8 grade on Kryptonite safety.
Great bike lock!
Fantastic lock but very heavy out of necessity. I bought this one because it was recommended by Lock Picking Lawyer. He still picked it in seconds though but most mere mortals would never overcome it.
