Das oft hier beschriebene Schloss Problem ist mir nicht (noch) passiert.
Ist aber auch am 3er Schlsselring extra auf einem Schild vermerkt, das der Schlssel
ganz in das Schloss bis zum Anschlag gesteckt werden muss.
Nicht ganz so prickelnd ist, wenn der Schlssel an einem Schlsselbund mit mehreren
Schlsseln hngt, das man nach dem aufschlieen diese erst entfernen kann wenn die Kette wieder zu ist.
Da sollte sich diese Markenfirma was einfallen lassen.
Nicht unterschtzen sollte man das Gewicht des Produktes, ist schon ein schweres Monster.
Ist aber wohl der Sicherheit geschuldet, die es Dieben m.Mng. sehr schwer macht, denn ein Bolzenschneider
hat wohl keine Chance.

Non c’ dubbio, come tutti i prodotti Kryptonite la catena d subito un senso di sicurezza e robustezza davvero ottimi, maglie e chiusura molto robusti. L’unico inconveniente il peso che la rendono poco trasportabile se non in uno zaino o a “tracolla”, appesa alla bici forse sbilancia un tantino, il peso per sicuramente (e ovviamente) dovuto alla qualit del materiale. Sicuramente utile il rivestimento in tessuto e in gomma per non rovinare i telai nei punti di contatto.

Easier to use than the Foldalock and much more secure
Skip the stupid Foldalocks, and get this chain. Sure it is quite heavy, but if you have an eBike it is the best, and works better than the Foldalock without the rivet problem the Foldalocks have (that is the rivets can be taken out with a 5 dollar tool). The lock is supple, covered with Kevlar to protect your bike.
The locks are a bit difficult to work, and really you will need to practice with them a bit. Some say it is like having to pick your lock everytime you open it with your key. And that is the point, difficult to pick, difficult to cut. And the length is pretty good as well.

Fa il lavoro che deve fare, molto robusta abbastanza pratica, anche se molto pesante, Per me il peso non un problema poich la uso per una bicicletta elettrica (nuova fiammante) e la metto nelle borse posteriori. La lunghezza di 90 cm permette di legare la bici ad un palo abbastanza agilmente. Chiaramente il palo deve essere libero. molto simpatica la luce blu della chiave principale, utile quando c’ poca luminosit e non riesci a trovare la serratura..Sono contenta di aver acquistato questa catena antifurto. Il costo importante ma nel mio caso necessario. Qui nella mia citt rubano le biciclette come sport preferito.

Had a bike stolen with a cheap cable lock so I got this one instead. I’d love to see them try to break this one. The links are huge. Only downside is the weight, it’s a heavy lock. It includes insurance too so I’m confident my bike is secure.

Sehr sicheres Schloss
Das Schloss ist wirklich massiv und bietet seinem Besitzer einen hohen Grad an Sicherheit vor Diebstahl. Die Verarbeitung ist top. Es macht auch optisch etwas her und es werden sogar drei Schlssel mitgeliefert (einer inkl. LED Beleuchtung; sofern man Lust hat diesen greren Schlssel mit sich herumzutragen).
Einen Stern ziehe ich ab, da das hier schon an einigen Stellen erwhnte Problem des Auf- und Zuschlieens wirklich etwas nervt. Es dauert manchmal bis zu 10 Sek, bis ich den Schlssel in die richtige Position gebracht habe um das Schloss danach auf- bzw. zuzuschlieen. Ich verleihe mein Fahrrad auch hufiger mal und nun frchte ich, dass irgendjemand das System nicht ganz verstehen knnte; dann mit Gewalt probiert den Schlssel zu drehen und diesen dann abreit. Bis auf dieses Manko ist das Schloss aber jedem zu empfehlen.

The bike lock recommended/owned by the YouTube sensation that is The Lock Picking Lawyer, very sturdy, will take an age to break with an angle grinder and the lock itself takes an age to pick with a special tool, so all in all one of the more secure bike locks on the market.
Having almost lost my bike to “twist the D lock attack” I needed a new lock that “that type of attack can’t be performed on so easily, or I needed 2 D locks for front and back of frame.
This is a big chain lock, it’s heavy and intimidating. It is absolutely putting off the plebs who are opportunist thieves, as my bike has been untouched since I started using this, and I’ve come back to the cycle racks to see other bikes in pieces (frames buckled from theft attack) or just wheels left.
Expensive, but a lot less expensive than buying another bike.
I also carry a kryptonite D lock too, if leaving the bike for longer periods, both locks in combination are just too much for the average simp thief.
Like any lock, a pro bike thief will eat this for breakfast… but they probably wont be looking at my bike anyway!

Okay I’ve read a LOT of reviews on this lock.
Let me help summarise for you.
1) The key and unlocking:
It unlocks just fine. The key has to pass through one or two elements in the chamber to be fully inside. These elements are what adds to the security of the locking system.
Once the key has been gently inserted it will open again and again no problem.
It truly is pretty damn simple to use and so far I’ve had no issues with the key.
2) The weight:
Its 2.7 kilos.
Its got some weight and is a little heavy but it’s not weigh your arms down “oh my god” heavy at all.
It feels not much heavier than a light bag of groceries to be honest.
I was concerned with the reviews and figured… How heavy can 2.7 kgs really be.
The answer is I’d happily carry this around in my bag or on my bike.
Yes it’s not a mega lightweight lock but it’s also not an anchor either.
My girlfriend is also buying one and she’s happy to use it for her bike too.
3) Registering of keys on the Kryptonite website.
My girlfriend had my keys registered online for me in the time it took for me to make her a cup of tea. No problem at all.
So that hopefully gives you a better idea of the key, weight, and registration.
I spent a few days looking at other locks and honestly, Kryptonite are still the market leaders and the small doubts I had about this from reading the reviews were quashed within 5 minutes of opening and using it.
Enjoy this great lock for piece of mind… Remember it’s not just the insurance payout you want… You just don’t want your bike stolen in the first place.
Pro tip however… Combine with another lock and never forget if you have quick release wheels to lock them to the frame.
One last point is this locks length. It’s long enough for me but if you did want a fair amount of length for locking two or three bikes together you might want a longer version… But with more length comes cost and of course more weight.

Super heavy chain and beefy lock. I use this as my home/garage lock. Overall it's a little to short to wrap around a tree and a bike but they do sell a longer one. I feel safe with this thing locking my bike. Check out lockpickinglawyer on youtube for a good summary of the chain.

El aspecto es formidable. El que sea un candado integrado lo hace menos aparatoso a la hora de cerrarlo y abrirlo. Recomiendo la version de 90 cm, aunque pese, es mas versatil. Puedes candar dos bicis muy justas pero puedes y ademas te permite anclajes a elementos un poco voluminosos que los aparaca bicis normales. En cuanto a su fiabilidad…espero no poder comprobarlo nunca.
Aado un ao despues por si a alguien le sirve para decidirse…sigue impecable y de momento sin ningun intento de robo. He estado usando en otra bici la que en principio era mi eleccion. Un Abus Granite Plus. Un candado en U. Posiblemente el mejor candado en U. Y, si, te trasmite una sensacion de calidad excelente, pesa menos, quiza cuesta un poco mas, pero como me temia, los candados en U son muy poco versatiles. En cuanto no hay una barra circular de diametro medio…ya tienes un problema. Simplemente las seales de trafico de seccion rectangular, ya son un problema si quieres coger cuadro y rueda delantera. Con esta cadena eso no es un problema. Esta se engancha a un semaforo o un farol(una farola no lo he probado).
Una cosa que me gusta menos, es que el seguro Anti-Theft, tiene como condicion la presentacion del candado roto y los ladrones rara vez dejan el candado tras de si.

Ho comprato questo lucchetto per la bici elettrica, premesso vado in bici da anni e durante l’universit l’ho sempre tenuta fuori riuscendo a scampare ai furti.
Il lucchetto che non si apre non esiste, ma esiste quello che ti rende la vita difficile e questo uno di quelli, sono soldi benedetti.
Ottimo materiale, buone le finiture e molto intelligente la capsula di acciaio sopra la serratura, sono comprese 3 chiavi di cui una con un led(molto comoda) e registrando il proprio lucchetto sul sito in caso di smarrimento di tutte e 3 vi spediscono la quarta copia gratuitamente. Assolutamente consigliato anche per moto.

Personally, I feel like it can come up a bit too short for some areas that don’t have specific bike locking facilities.
I do use this in conjunction with a D lock to secure my bike as much as possible without lugging around too much weight.
Tolles, aber schweres Schloss
Nachdem ich jetzt ein neues Fahrrad habe und meine Versicherung auf Grund des Preises ein andere Preisklasse an Schlssern fordert, musste mein zuverlssiges Axa jetzt weichen. Abus kommt mir auf Grund der Sicherheit nicht mehr ins Haus also neu recherchiert und bei Kryptonite im Netz hngen geblieben. Es fhlt sich extrem wertig an und macht schon was her…Diese Robustheit kommt natrlich mit einer negativen Seite: Es ist sehr, sehr schwer. Ich habe es deswegen auf Arbeit angeschlossen und nehme es nicht mehr mit nach Hause. Beim Schloss muss man schon ein wenig Feingefhl haben, aber es ist jetzt auch nicht bermig schwer zu ffnen. Hintergrund: Die Scheiben sollen das picken verhindern. Das Schloss kommt mit 3 Schlsseln und einer LED Leuchte, dazu die Schlsselkarte. Man kann wohl auch bei Kryptonite eine Versicherung bekommen, hierzu kann ich aber nichts sagen, da ich schon eine habe.
Klare Kaufempfehlung, wenn man kein Problem mit dem hohen Gewicht hat.

Compre este candado para dejar la bicicleta en la universidad. Paso todo el da all prcticamente y da la sensacin de seguridad, lo utilizo para atar la rueda trasera con el marco, y an as pongo otro extra (tambin de cadena pero no tan bueno como este) a la rueda delantera al ser de cierre rpido. Para mi, pesa lo suficiente entre calidad de candado y seguridad, no es engorroso de cargar para llevar, aunque yo lo dejo atado donde normalmente aparco. El embalaje pareca que viniese abierto, pero el candado vena un su embalaje original. Viene con un seguro para registrar la bicicleta, y si te la roban estando el candado puesto, te reponen la bici. Un plus de seguridad y tranquilidad que se agradece. 100% recomendado.
What can I say?
This is a very good, secure chain lock for your bicycle or any other use for locking things. I have the 35.5″ and it is just long enough but should be used in combination with other chain/cable/u-locks for maximum security.
I do have to say… before you even consider buying this product… it is whopping 6.10 lbs/ 2.77kg. Get something in similar weight and physically feel the weight. It is very very heavy.
Other than that, it is a excellent product.
Don’t forget to register your lock with Kryptonite!

Very sturdy lock
Great lock for security. The chain lock allows lots of flex of where you can lock your bike. Only potential downside is that it is quite hard to store when cycling. Make sure you have a bike basket or bag.
Solide Qualität mit kleinen technischen Macke
Ich wollte gezielt ein kryptonite Schloss haben und habe mich letztendlich fr 90cm lange Gliederkette entschieden, da ich bereits zuvor ein Kette dieser Lnge hatte.
Vorab – was fehlt zum fnften Stern?: Wie von anderen Nutzern genannt verschieben sich die Scheibenzylinder manchmal, so dass das Auf-/Schlieen etwas haken kann. Ich konnte einmal den Schssel mehrere Minuten lang ganz normal drehen, der Bolzen bewegte sich aber nicht. Bei Klte oder Regen ist das natrlich nervig.
Der erste Eindruck des Schlosses ist ansonsten sehr gut. Alles sieht gut verarbeitet aus, keine Risse, keine Kratzer, keine Sprnge. Das Gewicht sollte man beim Kauf unbedingt beachten, das ist nichts was man sich locker um den Hals hngt. Die Schlssel, mit LED Spot, ebenfalls gut verarbeitet.
Zur Kette selber: Sowohl die Kette, der Mantel der Kette als auch das Schloss sind jeweils sehr massiv. Es klappert und wackelt nichts und wie o.g. ist die Verarbeitung echt gut. Die Verbindung von Mantel zum Schloss ist mittels Gummi abgedichtet. Der Gummi hat etwas Spiel, so dass man das obere Kettenglied leicht einsehen kann. Fr einen Bolzenschneider reicht das m.E. aber nicht. Daher hab ich insgesamt ein gutes Gefhl beim Schloss.

This lock is extremely strong. I can’t imagine anyone getting into this lock to steal my bike. It is quite heavy but when I go out with it, I just pop it into my rucksack on my back and it doesn’t bother me at all carrying it that way. Would highly recommend from a security perspective

Robust, abschreckend, aber hakelig
Zunchst wirkt das Schloss sehr wertig, robust und solide. Beim Auspacken denkt man sich sofort, dass man mit dem Schloss ein gutes Gefhl htte, das Rad auch in der Innenstadt stehen zu lassen.
Die 90cm Kette ist knapp, aber meistens ausreichend dimensioniert. Wenn man das Rad am Rahmen anschlieen mchte, dann passt es locker, die Kette durch den Rahmen und das Vorderrad zu ziehen passt meistens nicht, aber das ist fr mich ok.
Das Schloss ist ziemlich hakelig, allerdings hilft ein Tropfen l und ein bisschen Geschick. Am Anfang habe ich fter ein bisschen dran rum wacklen mssen, bis es aufging, das war sehr nervig, mittlerweile habe ich den Dreh raus.
Der Trick ist, dass kein Zug auf der Kette sein darf. Wenn der Riegel durch die Kette Zug kriegt, dann blockiert das Schloss komplett. Wenn man die Kette ins Schloss drckt und dadurch entlastet, dann lsst sich das Schloss auch immer vernnftig schlieen. Mit dem Wissen -> 5 Sterne

Nice lock but the last link rubber cover moves forward making it difficult to lock. Have to keep pushing the rubber cover back. But that’s all. Use it on my ebike

Es pesada , la cadena es gruesa y resistente, viene con tres copias de llaves . Compr la de 90cm y se queda un poco corta para dejar la bici en algn poste . Considera antes de comprarla dnde la vas a encadenar. A m me funciona muy bien .
Easy to use and effective so far. Tbh we took the recommendation from you tube “lock picking lawyer” and after a few months have no complaints. We understand it’s not 100% thief proof but enough to deter / frustrate/ make them move on to the next bike.
For us it’s not just the value of the bike, it’s the whole inconvenience of it being pinched and the walk home and everything that follows from there, so we spent the money.
Ich habe mehrere Kettenschlsser von unterschiedlichen Herstellern und in unterschiedlichen Sicherheitsklassen im Einsatz. Je nach Anforderung nehme ich das meiner Meinung passende Schloss mit. Kryptonite kenne ich als Schloss schon bald 25 Jahre und ich hatte verschiedenste Ausfhrungen. Das Kettenschloss ist fr mich die beste Variante, da ich nicht immer einen Rucksack dabei habe und an den Sportrdern kein Gepcktrger montiert ist. Der Transport um die Sattelstange gewickelt ist fr mich ein Kaufkriterium.
Ich habe dieses Schloss gewhlt, da ich an meinem neuen Arbeitsplatz mein Rad nicht auf dem Firmengelnde abstellen kann und es auch nicht im Blick habe. Es soll also 8-9 Stunden an der Strae im besten Fall an einer Laterne angeschlossen stehen. Die meisten Experten sagen, dass ein Schloss mindestens 3 Minuten den Aufbruchsversuchen standhalten sollte um den Gelegenheitsdieb abzuschrecken. Profis machen jedes Schloss auf. Ich denke das schafft das EVO 4 wie man in einigen Test im WEB nachlesen kann.
Bis jetzt habe ich sehr gute Erfahrungen mit dem Schloss gemacht. Vor der ersten Benutzung habe ich den Schliemechanismus gelt. Bis jetzt keine Probleme mit hackelnden Schlsseln. Ich denke mit regelmiger Pflege wird das auch so bleiben. Mit meinen anderen Schlssern habe ich auch im Winter keine Schlieprobleme. Bewegliche Teile mssen halt regelmig gepflegt werden.
Ich wrde das Schloss wieder kaufen!

Perfectly balanced
This chain strikes perfect balance between security and mobility. As everyone knows, every lock can be defeated, so I look at every lock as a deterrent. This lock, when locked properly high enough above the ground (where ground can’t be effectively used to leverage bolt cutter), provides just enough deterrent as the very biggest and heaviest bike locks out there. When you step down to cheaper version of this lock, this is no longer true.
I am using the 1090 version that weights just over 6lbs, but you don’t even feel it when the chain is wrapped around seat post.
I am using this product to secure the front wheel and the frame, and separate mini U-lock to secure the rear tire. I am leaving my 10 year old mountain bike on college campus late into the evening, and so far I can tell that it’s the least likely bike to get stolen based on how the other much nicer bikes are locked up.
If you want a sturdy bike chain, this is it. The chain is sturdy, feels like it’d be extremely hard to get to. Where it falls short however is the key mechanism – if you’re someone whose used to hopping on and off your bike pretty quickly, this lock is going to get on your nerves. It’s very heavy so does slow you down a bit sometimes, but mostly it’s heaviness gets in the way of locking it up – I’ve found it takes me a while to lock the thing up, especially if you are trying to use it in conjunction with one of kyrtoponites wire things! The keyhole also requires a bit of jiggling, and I found it gets a bit scratchy after a rainshower. There’s rubber bits near the lock… take these off, they are so annoying! All in all, it’s built like a tank, but adds a bit of annoyance when locking up.

This lock won’t prevent someone from stealing your bike but it will definitely make them think twice about it.
Bike thieves will usually go for locks that are easy to break, pick, or cut. This is because there’s a risk reward system involved – i.e., the more difficult the lock the more time it will take for them circumvent it; meaning there’s more probability that they will be caught. It’s based on this principle that I purchased this lock and here’s why:
1. unlike standard cable locks or more popular U-Locks, Chain locks are flexible, this usually makes them more difficult to cut with an ankle grinder (difficult to hold the chain steady while cutting) and less prone to force prying attacks (a common circumvention method to U-Locks.)
The 10mm hex link chain design of this lock is a pain in the rear to cut or force apart. That’s because the chain itself is made from an ultra strong and tough triple heat treated manganese steel.
2. This outer tube of the lock cylinder is made of hard 1/8th inch steel and the inner tube is reinforced with sturdy zinc, and the locking bolt is a thick steel bar. Lastly, the core that secures it all is a newer disc detainer core.
What this all means that the lock itself is going to be extremely time consuming to break and extremely challenging to pick with out a specialize pick set.
About the only negative things I can say about this lock is that it’s bulky and heavy. Also, there’s no easy way to secure it on my road bike while riding.
Other than these complaints, I’d highly recommend this lock.

Good secure lock, long enough to lock two bikes together….however they are quite heavy…….gave 4 stars due to sometimes difficult and fiddly to locate key fully into lock….but overall a good quality lock.

I purchased this lock as my second lock so that my bike would not get stolen by meth addicts. The excessive weight makes it inconvenient to carry around on my bike, but I forgot to return it, so I guess I will use it. Looks sturdy.

La cadena es buena. Cuando uso la bicicleta, la enrollo alrededor del cuadro y queda perfecto. Los puntos ms fuertes para m son: da la sensacin de que puede resistir a cualquier evento o intento de robo, no te permite sacar la llave a menos que est cerrado (lo cual es bueno para m, pues puedo ser algo distrado), es flexible hasta cierto punto, incluye tres llaves (una con luz que hasta el momento no he necesitado) y puedes registrarte en el sitio web de Kryptonite para que, en caso de que pierdas tus llaves, te enven un repuesto de manera gratuita.
Siendo exigentes, dira que los puntos dbiles es (1) que la cadena es lo suficientemente larga para sujetarlo a algn poste delgado (20-30 cm mx.), pero no para algo ms grueso; y (2) que la cadena viene cubierta por una tela de nylon la cual se puede romper fcilmente con algo no muy filoso.

Die Kette ist 90 cm lang und wiegt 2,7 kg.
Da es doch schwer ist, lege ich es immer in meinen Rucksack. Man kann es auch um die Sitzstange legen.
Die Kette ist extrem Stabil und sicherlich nur mit Profi Werkzeug zu knacken. Das Schloss ist auch sehr wuchtig.
Neben dem Schutz der Kette, kann man sich auch kostenlos fr eine Fahrrad-Diebstahl Versicherung registrieren. Falls nach dem Diebstahl die Kette noch da liegt, bekommt man bis zu 2700 Dollar Ersatz (5 Jahre kosten 25 Dollar).
Einen Stern Abzug gibt es fr die Kettenhlse, also Stoffhlle.
Diese ist sehr anfllig und man muss vorsichtig damit umgehen. Mir ist sie kurz an das Zahnrad gekommen und ist gleich gerissen.. musste also nhen..
Auch das Gummi um das Schloss hat schon einige Risse.
WICHTIG: Entgegen der anderen Rezensionen, kann ich sagen, dass das Schloss nicht klemmt oder hakt.
Durch die Bauart muss man es nur ordentlich bedienen. Es hat 7 Scheiben im Inneren. Man muss mit dem Schlssel erst durch alle durch. Das letzte verdreht sicht stets ein bisschen. Man muss den Schlssel dann kurz hin und herdrehen.. ich merk das nicht mal mehr.
Dafr ist das Schloss sehr sicher gegen Lock Picker. Man muss hier eben auch Profi sein um es zu knacken.
Ich kann die Kette weiterempfehlen.
Am besten ab einem Radwert von 500 Euro.

except that key hardly ever works first time to unlock, which is annoying. Otherwise a really good bicycle chain lock.
Premesso che tutti gli antifurti di biciclette sono solo deterrenti e che possono essere scassinati/segati via in pochissimi minuti direi che questo uno dei migliori. La logica quindi che se ci sono bici simili alla tua con antifurti peggiori il ladro figlio di p. decider di rubare quelle prima della tua.
Nella mia citt i furti di biciclette sono all’ortdine del giorno me ne avranno rubate a decine tant’ che ho sempre girato con biciclette orribili.
Tempo fa mi hanno rubato pure la bicicletta orribile (non era legata essendo nel garage, sono entrati nel giardino, hanno aperto il garage e l’hanno presa, io non ho parole so solo che al mondo c’ un sacco di gente che fa schifo) e ho comprato una bici nuova e bellissima da 300 euro.
Legandola sempre allo stesso palo della luce prendendo il palo, ruota e telaio finora ancora non me l’hanno fregata e rimane l per 8 ore.

Solid as a rock. Nice and heavy so feels secure. I commute with this in my bag with no problems. (You will definitely feel it though)

I like the security of this chain, knowing that I can leave my bike in a secluded area for a long period of time only to come back and see the chain has not been tampered with at all. But with security comes weight. This chain is extremely heavy, and if you have to bike uphill, you will have a bad time. However, if you have one of those expensive E-Bikes, it won’t matter how heavy this chain is. It will protect your investment well, and the electric motor will do some of the extra work for you! Would recommend if you spent thousands on your bike. Don’t get it if your bike is just a cheap old bike.
Sturdy, heavy and safe. Can’t go wrong with Kryptonite. If you need to carry it around with you ( I leave it attached to my wall anchor) you can easily wear it like a belt.

Si tuviera que resumir esta cadena sera con dos palabras, “Imponente y Pesada”.
Es el primer producto de esta marca que compro, y se siente la calidad de los materiales al tacto. La cadena que compre es el modelo 1090 (OS) con 90 cm de largo, es algo mas pequea de lo que imagin pero perfectamente se puede asegurar la bicicleta a cualquier poste comn. Incluye 3 llaves una de las cuales tiene integrado un led azul. Al momento las llaves abren y cierran el seguro perfectamente, actualizar la resea al cabo de unos meses de uso para informar el estado de la cadena.
Por el momento puedo decir que es muy buena y sin duda asegurara tu bicicleta o motocicleta.
12/01/2019: Despues de 6 meses de uso, no tengo queja alguna del producto. Sigue igual de resistente, sin oxido, las llaves siguen funcionando perfectamente. La mejor compra que he hecho vale la pena gastar un poco por una buena cadena como esta.

Really secure lock, required for bike insurance and peace of mind. I probably should have gone for the slightly longer version, might get another one for travelling around (for use on a vehicle – you’re not going to cycle around with one of these).
It is a great, sturdy chain, easy to use and isn’t too hard to carry regarding the items weight. I tend to carry it in the bottom of my rucksack. Overall, it is perfect for locking your bike and not having to worry much about it. I use this in conjunction with the Kryptonite messenger mini u-lock with the back wheel bracket attachment.
Reliable, robust and light. You won’t get many better locks than this so far it’s been a absolutely gem and hasn’t let me down. Easy to store away and isn’t as heavy as the larger locks yet still provides the security you need. Highly recommend.

Heavy. Be advised of the weight. Great finish, rubber peotectors, massive chain and 3 keys (one with light) and easy to use. Dust protector. As expected.
Looks very sturdy and lock is easier than the U-locks to use since you don’t have all the weight of the shackle to lift.
Nice protection on the shackle and the lock is a little bit bigger than the New York Lock Long Shackle (view pictures).
Muy buena cadena para asegurar tu bici. Fcil de abrir y cerrar. La tela que cubre la cadena es resistente pero igual se desgasta y si se atora con algo filoso puede desgarrarse. De las tres llaves que vienen con la cadena una tiene luz que a mi parecer no es tan til, le en otros reviews que la batera no dura mucho pero personalmente no la he usado. A final de cuentas lo que necesitas es la llave para abrir y cerrar el candado. El nico pero que le pongo al producto es su peso, claro que una cadena de este tamao no podra pesar menos y al mismo tiempo siento que es muy difcil de cortar, pero en mi opinin siento que no es muy prctica cargarla en una mochila por lo que lo mejor sera llevarla en el cuadro de la bici.

This bike lock is solid and well design. My bike nearly stolen from my previous bike chain lock but this one saved it from thieves because they can see that the chain is impossible to cut.

From the off, this is obviously a very heavy lock, but the chain design means that it is easy to store away in even a small bag, or it can be easily wrapped around a seat post. It feels very secure, and I doubt any casual thief would have the time nor effort to put into breaking it. Other people have mentioned the key getting jammed in the lock, but so far I have not had this problem, though I do keep it under shelter for most of the time, so this could be related to weather wear. The chain is easily long enough to get around even some of the more obtuse railings that London has to offer.
Overall I’m a big fan of this lock, as is my insurance company, which is rather charming.
This is one heavy-duty lock, probably more than I need for securing my commuter in the bike garage at our office. I leave it locked to the bike hanger in the garage, so the weight and portability issues don’t matter to me.
What I Like:
– Solid locking mechanism.
– Confidence-sparking heavy duty chain and lock
– Cloth covering protects the bike frame
What I Don’t Like:
– The key doesn’t go into the lock smoothly. I suspect a little more lubrication will help, as will a little time for the lock to break in, but it can be quite challenging to get the key into the lock. I would imagine that cold fingers would make that even worse, fortunately I’ve been fairly warm when I’ve had to use it.
– Chain is a little short. I have the 3′ chain option and I’ve had to pull the chain tight against the frame to lock it to the hanging bike rack in the garage. There’s not enough to wrap it through the front wheel for that additional protection.
Overall, I’m happy with it. Hopefully the lock continues to get smoother so I can get a good long life out of it.

I think this was good value when I purchased it for about $75. Yes, it’s heavy but that makes me feel better about its ability to stand up to thieves. Long enough to lock the frame and 1 wheel. I use this in Toronto.

This is a good and heavy-duty lock. The price was also not too bad either. It’s quite heavy though, so you should think of that if you’re carrying it on a bike.
