More than nine and three quarter reasons to buy this.
We bought this for our eleven year old who is one of the worlds biggest Harry Potter fans. She has most of the other HP Lego which is all excellent so we were happy to discover that so is this.
It’s colourful and well designed and not so easy to assemble which is a very good thing for a Lego set. ( and the child’s parents)
Once assembled it looks fabulous and our girl loved it. It’s sat proudly on display with all the other models from the films.
Highly recommended to any fan of Mr Potter and cast.
Finally 2018 complete
My son is a Lego collector and had all the sets from the 2018 Harry Potter series since then but never got the Hogwarts Express. He want too bothered and was (like me) annoyed that it didn’t come with a stretch of tracks for the train. He has been looking for a good price drop but it never seems to really drop. That is, until this week! Amazing deal on Amazon together with the fact he still had some birthday Amazon gift cards left, made this a great buy! He is now thrilled that the HP collection is complete.
Lovely build with nice details such as the carriage having a side that comes off for playability and the ‘stopper’ at the front of the engine that can be flipped for steerability. Good mini figs. All around nice set.

We loved building this over Christmas, it would have been nice if it came with a small bit of track though for the train.

This was a good addition to my high speed passenger train I have. It was easy to build and rather quick to build to. Lego guides are always good to follow. It is a shame it is not on the power up line. But there is videos out on YouTube that will show you to modify the train to be powered. It also was a shame it only came with one coach but it shouldn’t be to difficult to make another one bar the stickers. So if you are a train and a lego fan it is worth it very much.

The combination of Harry Potter and trains is a winne
My son has always been a train fan (we have several iterations of the Lego train systems: including the old blue track pieces from my own childhood over 40y ago!), and recently discovered Harry Potter. So this set was a no-brainer.
Plenty of building to do, and the King’s Cross station elements are fun. Small criticisms: the footbridge assembly is a little fragile, and the bogie on the front on the engine often skips the track during play.

This was a great set to put together. The instructions are easy to follow and the complete train is good to look at.
This set is described as suitable for kids, well my inner kid came out ( I’m 78) . I bought it to go with Hogwarts Castle that my granddaughters are building, aged 25 24 and 4. But decided one wet afternoon to build it myself. I figured that at my age, the concentration and dexterity would help to ward of dementia, I sew, do puzzles to keep me occupied but building this was a new Interest and was fun.

Absolutely love this set. The Hogwarts express train is a great feature to add to my Lego collection. It’s a great build and a good size when completed. The set comes with 5 minifigures plus a dementor and scabbers. Highly recommend.

Good fun to assemble, all the parts plus a few extra small pieces. Spent a little bit a time a day over a week to build but you could definitely do it in an hour or two if you wanted to

Such a brilliant set I adored building this! I bought this set using some vouchers i was given for christmas and do not regret it one bit. The figures are really neat and the whole set together creates a brilliant scene. I even put some of my mystery mini figs from the Harry Potter set in there to create an even cooler scene.

One of my favourite sets ever!
This set is absolutely amazing, the amount of detail put into is really high and well thought out. The train isn’t as big as The Emerald night or other lego trains but I really love the look of the train as well as the fun factor of building it. The mini figures are a great highlight for me and as for value for money I think the set has great value for money and I would highly recommend this set to anyone. It was my first Harry Potter set and now I’m looking into getting some of the other sets.
