Blenden und zum abfasen von Leisten da ich schon Akkus von Makita vorhanden waren habe ich kein Ladegert und

I have been a joiner for ten years now, and always used a dewalt 240 v planer, served me well, but this Makita 18v battery operated planer is fantastic, yes it only goes to 2mm rather than 4mm corded, but its great you can walk anywhere no transformer, no cables to trip up on, couldn’t be more pleased.

Scheinbar hat mein Hickory die Grenzen der Aluminiumbodenschienenbelastung erreicht. Ein schner langer Kratzer durch Holz. Das geht sicher auch besser. Sonst wie immer gute Leistung von Makita. Aber die Schiene sollte verbessert werden.

Easy to use.
Saved me lots of time and effort compared to a hand plane. Trimmed and hung four interior doors with ease. We have found many other uses for it since.

Wer htte gedacht, dass auch einer Akkuhobel so viel Power kommen kann.
Schafft problemlos Harthlzer, dann vielleicht nicht direkt mit 2mm. Schluckt ganz gut Akku, aber dass darf und sollte sie auch bei der Leistung.
Zubehr, wie Parallelanschlag ist auch dabei.
For those who use the Makita 18v system,this is a good addition.Various reviewers dislike the spring-loaded shoe at the rear of the planer to give the blades clearance when put down.There is a hole in the shoe and it can be held up out of the way by putting a split-pin or similar through it.I also have the Makita KP0810K mains planer and people have asked if the dust-bag from this machine will fit the DKP180Z and I can confirm it does,also the blow moulded case for the above mentioned mains planer will fit.The depth dial on my planer reads 1.5mm when it is set to zero! but this isn’t a problem for me as I have always set the depth of the blade by sighting along the sole-plate, the same way as setting any non-electric plane.I’m pleased to see that this planer is made in the UK but hope it’s not a QC issue.I still think it’s worth a five star rating.(The Makita case part number is 824786-0).Having used this planer to ease an external door I confirm it’s up to the usual Makita quality.It’s a decent weight and reasonably quiet and virtually vibration free.

What’s not to like? Quality product from Makita, appropriately heavy so it stays on task and moves smoothly across the wood. So far works very well. Only downside is it drains my 3ah quite quickly, so 5ah batteries probably recommended.

Gradually building up my collection of cordless tools and whilst I have a priority list of things, I am occasionally treating myself to a few new toys!
This was a bit of an extra treat for me as I have a couple of corded planners and dont use them all day every day. However I wanted to give this a go and I am glad I did.
Like all the Makita 18v range I have used so far, this is just great quality and a real joy to use and I already know that its going to make the jobs that I use it for so much easier when I am not scrabbling around for a plug.
Seems to be powerful enough and seems to be a real decent build quality. All set up and ready to go and so very happy with this so far.
Ive suck a 5amp battery on it and that powers it just great.
Very happy with this, and yes, a three year warrenty also whn youcomplete the details on-line.

Really handy piece of kit I know it only takes off 2mm and does even struggle with that sometimes when doing oak I use the 5. O batteries with it which work great. can be a bit annoying when the batteries runs out mid cut but would recommend.

Der Elektrohobel macht einen hochwertigen Eindruck und liegt sehr gut in der Hand. Sobald der Akku dran ist, ist der Hobel auch sehr gut ausbalanciert und lsst sich gut fhren.
Nicht ganz so optimal finde ich die Schnitt-Tiefen-Einstellung. Trotz Tiefenanzeige am Drehrad, lsst sich die Schnitt-Tiefe nicht ohne weiteres ablesen geschweige denn anhand der Markierung einstellen. Vielleicht habe ich das Einstell-Prinzip nicht verstanden, aber ich empfehle lieber zuerst an einer unkritischen Stelle die Schnitt-Tiefe zu testen.
Ansonsten ist der Hobel angenehm leise und gut kontrollierbar. Dank 18V Kompatibilitt eine super Ergnzung zu meinem restlichen Makita “Fuhrpark” 🙂

Una herramienta perfecta, el cepillo es potente y al mismo tiempo deja un trabajo fino. Le bolsa de viruta se llena muy pronto as que lo utilizo ms bien fuera de casa, las bateras tienen una autonoma buena, (bien este cepillo viene sin estas). Tengo varias herramientas sin escobillas (versin BL), pero esta que viene con escobillas tiene una potencia de envidia. Muy buena herramienta.

Je suis menuisier. J’avais le rabot electrique filaire Bosh qui etait dj trs bien avec double sortie pour l’aspirateur mais une seule lame. L le rabot est super efficace, puissant, et precis. Le choix de la hauteur est trs bien fait, la prise en main facile et l’appareil lger. La batterie 5A dure vraiment longtemp. Je suis super satisfait. De plus l’appareil s’arrte direct ds qu’on arrte d’appuyer sur la gachette ce qui est super secure. Bon seul hic pas de bote de rangement mais je vais m’en faire une. Je recommande tout les bricoleurs amateurs et pro.

Ich habe den Hobel gekauft um ein Holzgelnder von altem Lack zu befreien, das hat wunderbar funktioniert. Ich konnte damit gut eine halbe Stunde arbeiten ohne den Akku nachladen zu mssen. Nur der Einschaltknopf lsst sich etwas umstndlich bedienen, aber das ist wahrscheinlich sicherer so und man wird sich mit der Zeit an die richtige Bediehnreihenfolge gewhnen.

I am gradually replacing all my Makita corded tools with the battery equivalent and this was up to the same level of quality and comfort in use as I had expected.
Not sure I like the little spring out blade protector underneath though,
I found it got in the way when working on a door, I may look at taking that off.

You MUST get the bag separately but that is worth it. It saves so much clearing up.
The bag catches 90% of the dust and is easy and clean to empty. The bag is a bit bulky to carry around though but that doesn’t come with it.

All of my power tools are Makita LXT; purchased this planer on a really good sale in case I ever needed it in the future. Turns out I have had several uses for the tool and I am very satisfied with this. The construction is VERY sturdy; the tool is quite heavy and solidly built. Like all my Makita LXT, this tool confirms this is the right product for a “Prosumer” DIY enthusiast like me. I would assume this device will be quite well suited for a professional builder too.
What I like
– Strong, sturdy construction
– Part of a line of tools that use the same battery
– VERY powerful, never had any problems even with deep cuts
– Can make precise adjustments to cutting depth
What I dislike
– The place where shavings are ejected is an oval shape; you cant connect a vacuum to extract the dust/shavings
– The little V that runs along the bottom (for planing corners) is not very deep. It is quite easy to slip off a 45 angle
Ideal for the majority of planing you will do.
Best cordless planer out at the moment, nearly as powerful as the kp0800 and very similar to use. However, like the kp0800 the depth adjustment is a bit vague and can turn below 0 and way beyond 2mm. Not sure why Makita doesn’t limit this like they do on the kp0810, so the depth adjustment is more precise. Has a great blade brake, is quiet but does eat batteries when planing 2mm. Ideal for shooting in doors, scribing arcs etc

Etant quip en MAKITA sans fil (perceuse, visseuse choc et outil multifonctions), je ne pouvais que choisir ce rabot pour mes travaux de menuiserie amateur.
J’apprcie normment la libert du sans fil et la puissance du 18v.
L’appareil n’est ni trop lger ni trop lourd, il est facile d’utilisation et d’entretien, la poigne est bien ergonomique et le rglage de profondeur de rabotage par molette est pratique et bien situ.
Si il a un seul dfaut, c’est la consommation lectrique : une 4 Ah Makita ne fait pas long feu!!!! Il vaut mieux avoir plusieurs batteries et en garder une toujours pleinement charge.
Une machine qui vaut son prix. Pour moi, il y a Makita d’un ct et il y a les autres…
Brilliant top quality. Had to take 2mm off top of new workshop door. So easy to use did the job effortlessly. Light compared to my de walt corded one too. Dragging a cord up to top of a fitted door and setting up an extension cord into the garden would have been a chore.

Really great product. So far used for planing doors. Very solid guide works really well to keep plane at correct angle. Body heavy enough to keep cutter working well but not too heavy to work with – even on the vertical. Surprisingly quiet in action. Need to purchase the bag to keep cuttings from going everywhere.
As expected from makita it is a very good tool, well made and does the job bery well. As i am a joiner it is used alot and after a couple of months it is still running perfect. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Da ich ein Set mit 7 Makitaakkugerte bereits habe, ist dies eine weiteres perfekte Ergnzung. Wer einmal kabellos gearbeitet hat und trotzdem auf Leistung und Qualitt nicht verzichten will, der ist bei Makita 18 V Akkugerten bestens aufgehoben. Egal ob Stichsge, Schlagschrauber, Winkelschleifer, Handkreissge, Rasentrimmer, Bohrhammer oder Schlagbohrschrauber, alles perfekt!!!

Good but could be better.
Very handy to use. The drum / blade mounting system is rather light weight /flimsey presumably to keep the inertia down and battery life up but it seems to work ok. It also has a rather annoying spring down leg so you can put the planer down on the deck with the blade still spinning. I find it just gets in the way in use so i have removed mine.

Great planer. Bought it bare, didn’t even come in the box, just bubble rapped. Needs a bag that’s not supplied so the shavings go everywhere. Otherwise quality product.
Brought this for my son who has a range of Makita tools, based upon recommendations from a professional Electrician. He has found this range very substantial and with compatible batteries they are excellent. It was a pleasure recently to build a shed from scratch with him with the Makita range it was very easy to saw, drill, plane etc. without any issues.
This product is fabulous and is well designed and quieter than my old Bosch Planer, I am so glad I switched to cordless as I have a very powerful electric planer without having to watch the electric lead!

Excellent piece of kit, have only used it a couple of times so far but is up to the usual high standard of Makita tools. It is quite heavy but this only shows how solidly built and robust it is. Another added to the Makita collection, what next?

This does the job, has plenty of power and planes well without the restriction of a power lead.
great planer, very good weight, good size, comfortable to use and very powerfull does the jobs smooth with the speed of the machine but ensure u. hav nice sharp blade. very good for site as its cordless it takes away the stress. it operares with 3ah/4ah battery lithium ion.
