Hobel ist sehr gut. Was Unsinn ist das ist der vorgegebene Makpac in Gre 2 da passt der Hobel nicht rein. Man braucht schon gre 3.

This is a very good plane but you still need a bit of skill to use it successfully, took me a few goes to achieve a satisfactory result, however much better than unplaned.

Top Hobel, besser als festool
Wir haben den kabelgebundenen Festool Hobel, der kostet irgendwas um die 500 und sollte als Referenz eigentlich uberqualifiziert sein. Aber nein, sowohl die schnittqualitt als auch die Lautstrke berzeugt der kleinen billige Makita auf ganzer Linie. Die ersatzmesser sind fr ein paar Euro zu haben sollte man mal einen Nagel erwischen. Bei festool sind da gleich mal 70 Euro weg.
Also klare Kaufempfehlung.

Kommt ohne die Akkus, daher der niedrige Preis. In der Anwendung ohne viel Schnickschnack und mit viel Power. Es ist nicht ganz einfach das am Anfang und Ende des Werkstcks Hobelschlag zu verhindern. Da lieber etwas berstand einplanen wenn es fein werden soll.

Very useful tool
I wish I’d bought one years ago. This model seems very well made and I expect it to last many years (I’m not a professional). It’s very powerful, and it takes a bit of practice to get an even pass over the wood. I don’t know how to assess its accuracy, because I don’t use the depth knob to take off a desired amount of wood. I just draw a line to mark how much needs removing, and make several shallow passes until I reach the line. That’s the way I’ve been advised to do it.

Habe viele Produkte von Makita Akkuwerkzeugen. Aber der Hobel fehlte mir noch, hab mir nur das Sologert kaufen mssen, da ich so genug Akkus hatte.
Sehr schner akkubetriebener Hobel, hat gute Power, gut einstellbar der Hobeltiefe durch das Rad vorne. Eine Nut unten auf der Hobelflche ermglicht es, die Ecken auch schn abzuhobeln. Und wenn man ihn zu Seite legt, fhrt unten eine gefederte Nase raus, die verhindert, das das Hobelmesser beschdigt wird.
Bin begeistert.

Der Makita-Hobel erweitert mein Makita 18V Sortiment und ist dank 5Ah Akku berall einsetzbar.
Mit eingelegtem Akku und dank Softgrip liegt der Hobel angenehm in der Hand und ist im Einsatz gut ausbalanciert. Die Maschine ist relativ leise und leistungsstark. Etwas gewhnungsbedrftig ist der Parkschuh, wenn man sich jedoch daran gewhnt hat ist das Ding auch sehr hilfreich. Manche kritisieren die vielen Kunststoffteile die verbaut sind das kann ich so nicht nachvollziehen, irgendwo muss ja Gewicht gespart werden. Die Tiefeneinstellung ist der einzige Punkt den ich persnlich bemngeln mchte, die ist mir etwas zu ungenau.
Fazit: bisher hat der Hobel alle Arbeiten ordentlich erledigt, hat gengend Power und ist sein Geld wert. Absolute Kaufempfehlung

Der Motor ist nicht brushless
After struggling with a hand planer, I thought I’d invest in an electric one. In two minds going cheap vs semi expensive, as I’m not a big user of a planer.
Comparing it to the hand planer, for the occasional DIYer this is a great tool. No fine tuning the height of the blade, quick twist of the knob on the front and the blade depth increases or decreases. No more messing about with the blade being level, or being at the right angle. Just press a button and away you go. While it doesn’t come in some fancy case, the cupboard box is good enough for me. Kind of wish I hand more things to plane.
The only downside, is the lack of dust bag.
And reading various articles about planers I think long term, Makita is the way to go, easy to find replacement parts of the planer. Other electric ones, people mention issues finding new blades. Worthwhile taking that into account when looking about.

Habe meinen Makita Fuhrpark mit dem Hobel erweitert. Was soll man sagen, genau das was man von einem Makita Gert erwartet. Super verarbeitetes Gert das perfekt funktioniert. Power trifft genauigkeit. Mit einem 6ah Stunden Akku macht es richtig Spass damit zu arbeiten und die Spantiefe ist Stufenlus einstellbar.( max 2mm aber vllig ausreichend).

Great cordless planer. No cables to catch on! Can obviously be used away from an electric supply. Did 2 table tops. Went for nearly 20 minutes without stopping on one charge. Quiet compared to an electric planer.

Don't forget the battery and dust bag .
For this has been an excellent buy. WS a little dubious that the chippings only eject from one side. If you look around most modern planers are reversable. It hasn’t been a problem though . And the balance and quality make it really easy to use. .I’d buy one again tomorrow if something happened to mine, Ted

Zwei Gedanken dominierten meine Bestellung: ich will das Teil haben! Aber wofr brauche ich einen Elektrohobel?
Nachdem ich den Hobel jetzt seit ein paar Wochen in Gebrauch habe mchte ich ihn nicht mehr missen. Fantastisches Gert in der gewohnten Makita-Qualitt. Gut ausbalanciert, leistungsstark und przise. Die Methodik der Stellschraube muss man einmal verstanden haben, dann klappt’s problemlos. Wermutstropfen: kein Koffer sondern nur ein Pappkarton. Das wrde ich beim nchsten Mal nicht mehr so bestellen. Ansonsten klare Kaufempfehlung.

For ease of use and general safety – this cordless plane from Makita gets full marks.
Having replaced the cable on my 240V (Bosch) plane with the toughest cable I could quickly lay my hands on (having cut through the original in the blink of an eye!) the idea of a cordless model seemed a good one.
When fitting some doors last week, the cable decided to throw itself under the still-turning blade, resulting in a worrying piece of copper protruding from the toughened sheathing!
So…
The Makita 18V model was ordered, quickly delivered and instantly tested.
It is SO much better!
The base-plate is smoother and heavier, thus giving more control; the motor is quieter than the mains-powered model, and the dust extractor port actually works (either a small ‘bag’, or vacuum hose, catches about 98% of the waste)
Quite why I even bothered buying the mains-powered model, I don’t really know, especially when I have a load of Makita batteries at my disposal.
If you’re pondering over whether you should, or shouldn’t buy this, ponder no more and simply press the button!

Fabulous plane, shame the dust bag was not included as it is really quite essential. Wonderful to plane cable free. More powerful, quieter and deeper max cut than my cabled planer. Very happy…..i use with 5Ah batteries which last well

Der Liefertermin wurde nach schriftlicher Anfrage doch erheblich verkrzt.
Der Hobel arbeitet sehr gut. Brauche den 18 V Makita Hobel um auch dort zu arbeiten wo gerade keine Steckdose in der Nhe ist. Mit dem 5Ah Akku habe ich 26 Latten unterschiedlicher Strke auf 4 Seiten mit der 2MM Tiefe gehobelt. Andere Akkuanzeige brannten immer noch 3 von 5 Dioden. Ich persnlich kann diesen Hobel wrmstens weiter empfehlen.

Liegt super in der Hand, keine Vibrationen, Schnitt klasse.
ABER,- Es gibt keine glatte Seite. Antriebseite mit Riemen /muss natrlich sein und Absaugung oder Gegenlager auf der Anderen.
Somit ist also eine Kantenbearbeitung nicht mglich, schade.
Kann natrlich fr viele kein Problem darstellen.

This is probably one of the best tools I’ve used in the makita 18v range really made my job so much easier, you will want to make sure you have a nice fully charged battery as it will drain them pretty quick but it will run on full power to the end.

Die Maschine luft einwandfrei, beim ersten Test auch sehr genau.Die eingestellten Millimeter wurden auch vom Holz abgenommen. Der Messschieber hat jeweils auf ein Zehntel genau denn vorgegebenen Wert besttigt. Sehr erfreulich ist, dass das Gert kompakt und vom Gewicht angenehm gestaltet ist. Irritierend war, dass bereits Spne im Gehuse zu finden waren und im Akkufach Abriebspuren. Ich habe das Gert dennoch behalten, weil es einwandfrei luft und die Arbeit nicht wartet. Bleibt gesund und fleiig!

Less concern about catching cable
Arrived quickly on time. I had a mains powered similar Makita plane (cut through cable) and thought I would try cordless. Easier use without worry of catching the cable. You have to ensure a higher speed of the motor is maintained to avoid ridges forming. Overall more efficient.

Planes well and accurately and so much easier to use than a corded model. Very light too even with the battery mounted.
Vorteil HM-Messer dabei – macht seinen Dienst – Nachteile: schon sehr plastikmig, der Kunststoff war bei Makita frher stabiler, “Sicherungspin” an Hinterkante der Abgangplatte ist sinnarm ( es sei denn man weiss nicht wie man Hobelmaschine ablegt 😉 – eher nur fr Heimwerker ntig – Profis strt das ( bei mir sofort demontiert – da sah ich auch das Schrauben nur in Plastik geschraubt sind von den Bodenplatten ) – Einstellung des Schneidenflugkreises nicht so wie bei gewohnten Makita Hobeln bzw. gar nicht richtig mglich, passt aber ab Werk – soweit ok. Keine Falzhobelfunktion wie beim klassischen Makita Falzhobel ( welchen ich seit Jahren nutze ) – aber mit Accu ist dieser Hobel hiermal schnell einfach sehr handlich !
Mais un petit manque de puissance. Vu les commentaires dithyrambiques gnraliss, je m’attendais plus pchu. Faut pas rver, a reste un 82 mm, donc un rabot moyen. Bien pour rafrachir une surface (travail trs propre) ou ajuster mais il n’enlvera pas beaucoup de matire rapidement.

Replaced my electric planer with the 18v. just about all my tools are now Makita battery, either X2, or 18v Li-Ion.
The reason for the 4 stars is because shame on Makita they should give the bevel fence along with the efixed edge guide.
Here in the US you don’t even get the fixed edge guide. Bare planer, and that’s it.
Wish Makita would get with the program and come out with an X2 cordless tablesaw.

Makita liefert wie erwartet mal wieder ein Spitzenprodukt ab. Klare Kaufempfehlung. Mit dem 4ah Akku ist die Maschine auch gut ausbalanciert. Wer schon Akkus im Bestand hat kann hier gut sparen. Die Tiefeneinstellung finde ich ein wenig verwirrend bei mehreren Umderehungen des Drehknopfs, jedoch ist dies Klagen auf sehr sehr hohem Niveau und somit eine klare Kaufempfehlung.
