I needed protection for my laptop and Mcafee have been great with no issues, I have been using it for years and the price is good compared to renewing it from mcafee website.
I was a week of subscription running out so bought this to extend till next year, instead of redownloading this I used my account with Macafee to use the 25 digit code, it worked straight away, pictures show Authentication success, and other shows date it runs out and how many days left.
Been using this for a few years now 3 licences one for computer, one for my tablet and one for my mobile phone. Never let me down so far. So would recommend.
Third time purchase! Purchasing is a doddle and the code comes through quickly…MAKE SURE you go onto the correct McAfee site! There are a few that look similar but the download doesn’t work you just get a message asking you to join a webchat…the proper site just asks for your code….after a couple of unsuccessful attempts to load the software over the existing McAfee software i uninstalled my original McAfee software and it installed no problems in about 2 minutes…in my opinion this is a great piece of software greatly reduced but you need to know what you are doing to download it..if you aren’t au fait with techno stuff then i would advise you to get help when downloading..otherwise its a thumbs up from me

Very happy customer. Easy to download and install. I bought it to replace Norton, which had server issues and wouldn’t work even after trying for ages and looking at the online fixes. McAfee worked without issues and was simple and easy to run. There are no “nags” either (that was why I deleted Avast) so it just works in the background but does NOT constantly ask you to buy more add ons, which is a real blessing.
For Windows 10 on a dell desk top PC. Bought, downloaded and installed in minutes. All ready had Livesafe (so already had an account) that I DIDN’T uninstall before installing Total Protection and the install just replaced my Livesafe (doesn’t show in my programmes now only Total Protection). I would advise that after all done give your computer a restart as you really should after any installations. It allowed me to cancel the auto renewal during download process but just give your account a view to check.
Once I bought this, I received an email with my redeeming Code and followed the easy steps to download and install on my PC and Mobile phone. You can protect up to 3 devices so I’ll do my Laptop once it’s delivered from Amazon, which will be any day now. The McAfee Account is also very user friendly and packed with helpful info on their products. Very easy to use and a fraction of the cost of Mcafee’s renewal product. After entering your download code there is an auto-renewal box but you just need to click “no thanks” and continue with installing. I already had mcafee on my pc and devices and the download automatically updated my device protection once I’d installed it on my pc. Will definitely purchase again next year.
I’m not very savvy when it comes to technology! So I always have to ask my friend to help me when doing anything important like getting security on my laptop. I don’t think I can understand it on my own, so always a relief when it’s done … and a great deal from Amazo

McAfee quoted 89.99 to renew my subscription. I bought exactly the same product from Amazon for 10.99. I wonder how McAfee justify this mark-up? The whole process was very quick and easy. Immediately after purchase, I received an e-mail with a redemption code. I then went into my McAfee account to redeem the code. The software automatically installed and the whole thing was completed within 5 minutes.

Easy to install across 3 devices and getting the download from amazon is a much cheaper way than just clicking auto renew from my previous mcafee installation. Would have cost 59 on auto renew instead of the 15 new download option from amazon.
Mcaffee tried and successfully took 60 from my bank account to cover only 1 device. This for this value for 3 devices, spot on. Please just make sure you turn off the auto renew as you will be stung.

Already use McAfee Security for my Pc and Samsung Android tablet. I remove the auto renewal as it tends to be very expensive. I usually purchase new McAfee Security and reinstall manually saving a lot of money. Due to current Covid restrictions this is the 1st time I have purchased a email code verification package. It was very straight forward I purchased the item from Amazon and the download code was received minutes later. Installation onto my laptop and tablet was very straight forward, took about 45 minutes and 25 minutes respectively. All now installed and appears to be working well. Please note compatibility with older Windows systems eg. Vista, I use Windows 10 so fine. Also I uninstalled McAfee App on my Android before reinstalling new download, seemed to work for me. Not for the first time I found the installation prolonged. From previous experience I uninstalled my resident McAfee. The program download from Amazon was OK but opening the downloaded file took some time and the initial ‘Install’ did not work at all! Cutting a long story short, following laptop restarts, the third attempt to install finally worked. Is this deliberate on the part of McAfee, hoping that the frustration of this installation process might lead to users resorting to the integral program updating at exorbitant cost???
After reading lots of negative comments I took a risk of purchasing it. I already had mcafee which was due to expire. If you carefully read the downloading instructions while downloading it’s very very easy to instal and renews your existing subscription if you want.
Brought for use on pc. Much cheaper doing it this way by code as a two year subscription would cost 24 quid from Amazon while to renew from Mcaffe directly works out at 68 quid. So better to renew yearly from here. Really easy to do in minutes and up to 3 devices protected.

I do not know what all the bad reviews are for this product. I have now purchased my McAfee subscription through Amazon for the last three years. Disliked the lack of instructions how to install. Dislike how any unused time not added on. Dislike how mcafee keep sending messages stating cover has ceased when they have accepted payment . ????

second time of buying this, it’s a doddle to install and set up, cuts out the hassle of waiting for the post to arrive, straight to email, 15 minutes tops to set up. Also better than paying a fortune on renewing.
Been using McAFee for years now and I always buy a new copy, always much cheaper than the auto renew option. Not immediately obvious if you’re new to this where the menu on the website is for you to load the activation key but once you’ve done that then the process of installing is very easy.

My previous McAfee had expired, so I bought this as it was a 3rd cheaper than buying directly from them and also gave me protection for 3 devices.
I found the installation instructions easy to follow and this downloaded on my laptop with minimum fuss. Took about about 30 minutes to do.
Some people have said that they have had problems but I found this very straight forward. Perhaps because I had McAfee before that’s why I didn’t encounter any technical issues.
Very good price and fine if you don’t have loads of devices like me. Easy to install and I’ll probably buy on here again as I used to buy in shops but they were closed this year due to lockdown. Good protection and user friendly.
Great value at about 1/2 the McAfee on line price and about1/4 my renewal quoted price. Easy to install with supplied product code. Now have another year’s virus protection with a good product at a reasonable price
I have always used Mcafee and always look around when my renewal is coming up. Amazon had a great deal on the price and far cheaper than automatic renewal through the Mcafee website. Once purchased I had an email immediately with the link to my digital downloads and I picked up the code. Went straight to my Macfee account and linked it to my account and my subscription was extended.
Installed on two machines. For each I got the message unable to uninstall old version. I rebooted, resumed the install and it was ok. Standard installation technique which should have been part of the process step. Recieved emails subsequently to say my MacAfee had not installed and the advice on the website did not tell me what I need to do i.e. point my drop down list of installations from the old to the new. Pretty standard stuff if you are technically aware.
Good product but difficult to install. Fortunately, very helpful customer service so the problem was resolved quite quickly and efficiently.
I think I know what to do next time. If you already have an account with McAfee you need to click on your account and find the reference to activation key. This is where one should put in the 25 digit code.

I have used McAffee products for a number of years & always found them to be good value for money, easy to install and manage. To date they have kept my devices free of any infections etc.
It was a bit fiddly to install it as it couldn’t remove the previous version, so I had to uninstall the old one from the program files. After restart it installed properly. I ordered the 3 device version, it is running very well on the other laptop too.
Easy to install after creating account etc. Scans ok. No other issues found so far.
Current scans time depends on hardware used. Got two different machines with about 7/8 minutes approx difference.
Worked eventually! Had to go onto the helpline as when we tried to install on the 3 devices and none of them would uninstall the existing Mcafee anti virus – the helpline were good but it took over 3 hours for the technician to sort everything out !
Oh my goodness I had McAfee Total Protection this year and it was highly frustrating to download when I did this last year, this year the app had my subscription to free and wanted me to pay online at McAfee, or so I thought, after hours literally of trying different things I noticed in small blue writing the words add account number here. I didn’t have an account number until I tried the code given to me and put that in and hey presto it worked beautifully. So if you have an iPad follow the email instructions and copy and paste the code in the box from clicking on the small blue words to add account number. This McAfee security gives you VPN too for peace of mind and adds it automatically, once you have successfully added the code – phew! Good value reliable cover too, but knocking a star off as it’s such a faff to download especially a subsequent year.
I’m using this software for many years now and i can tell this is the best antivirus software i ever had. Minimum 5-6 years now never had any issues. Recommended for any kind of computer ,or portable device. Thank you
I had many many offers to try other software, but for many years now McAfee has protected my on line activity. Via Amazon I had a very good price. Better price that buying direct or renew via McAfee. I trust my protection to McAfee for another year…and my thanks to Amazon for price and service….that was post or download on line, I went for download on line very easy.
I like the security McAfee offers in realtime, warns me of instant risks on the net to the hardware and blocks malicious ware. The only slight is running in the background drains the battery on PC and android gadget. Have to decide whether to keep it running in the background for security or run it and keep my gadgets constantly plugged in since batteries drain fast.
At first I had a problem starting the download, but resolved this quite quickly. The install proceeded after recognising that I already had McAfee installed but was due to expire soon. The Install started by removing the existing version, and replaced it with the new version. However the Install did not update the expiry date. I resolved this by engaging in an online chat with McAfee support, who (with my permission), accessed my laptop and updated the expiry date. All is now fine.
This is the second time I’ve installed McAfee. A fantastic price and super easy to install. What’s not to like! I would thoroughly recommend renewing an existing subscription this way 🙂
McAfee don’t make it easy for people to renew their subscription except by automatic renewal where the cost is considerably higher. Having taken a free trial first, it was necessary for that software to be removed before it would accept the key in my McAfee account despite it being fully upto date. The savings is however still worth the unnecessary hassle

Having received the renewal cost for our existing McAfee anti-virus software, it proved to be cheaper to replace it with this by a considerable amount of money. No brainier really.
Fails now and again and have to reinstall, possibly because not bought direct from McAfee. Had difficulty installing for first time and also sending link for additional device.
My McAffe anti virus was running out, one month before the expire date they tried to take 69.99 out of my bank account fortunately I had a new bank card but they kept trying but really paying for it one month before hand .
Now I have been with them for quite a few years and realised I have been paying this amount each year.

We hit a glitch when trying to install, as it hung at 83%. However, McAfee were amazing and worked for 3 hours to uncover the problem, which was a running banking defence system. Once diagnosed we were up and running quickly! Thank you so much support team!
I have used this token system for renewing McAfee Total Protection subscription for the last two years, I have rated ease of installtion 4 stars as I have not found the process to download the update straight forward, I had the 25 digit code generated twice, but not sure why, and the ‘activate’ link as quoted in the ‘how to renew’ notes, did not work, so i searched their help facility for activate, and found a link that did. I suspect whether one has issues with the update falling over during the process, probably depends on the state of each individual’s device and operating system. I have renewed on the last day each time, and not waited for the licence to expire, partly because I feel this gives continuous security, hopefully. I also ran full scans and had a clearout on each device before updating.
Besides that, as a 67 year old timer, I have managed to renew successfully each time, and this product saves the high subscription the auto renewal prompts quote, which start from about three months before the end of licence date, which I also find pretty annoying. The auto renewal is easily turned off so i don’t think that is a big issue. I switched mine off at the end of the update while still logged into my McAfee account. I had two other devices also running McAfee, and they seemed to automatically pick up the renewal.
This is the fifth copy I have of this. McAfee want 79.00 every year to renew the license. It is far cheaper to ditch the old copy and install a new licensed copy each year. Ten out of ten for value Amazon.
Brought this on black Friday deal. Very glad I did, works great and is easy to navigate through the menus. Gives my laptop clear and in-depth protection, automatically shows me when it scans every download and the default settings will block any harmful files or programs.

I read a few reviews of people not being able to register the product so i was worried it may not work..what i found was if you copy and paste the code it misses a digit off so count the number of digits in the activation code and add what is missing…i did and it works fine ….give it a try ..fully recommend …
Yes, I’m rather pleased with this! The first couple of full scans after I installed it on my laptop took quite a while. But now a full scan takes about an hour or so. Also, it has other useful features. It removes cookies, temporary files etc, so there’s no need to buy other proprietary software for this specific purpose. Further, it has a vulnerability scanner which finds and installs your latest software. Before I bought McAfee I’d had a problem with several Windows 10 cumulative updates which my laptop wouldn’t install. For at least two weeks I had been receiving error messages. McAfee installed these updates successfully on the first day that I activated it on my laptop. A pleasant surprise. This was an unexpected advantage of having McAfee Total Protection and I’m glad that I’ve bought it. I think that I shall stick with it from now on.

I used the McAfee site and my current account with them to renew. No uninstalling old accounts was involved, just my expiry date was extended for another year. I had to agree to auto-renewal but just set a reminder to alter this in eleven months time. I also did the same for my tablet, and all in the whole process took about 15 minutes. Very pleased with this and will do the same next year. Highly recommended !
Good value for money compared to going to McAfee direct or simply renewing – even though this is a McAfee product. Easy to install and very little setting up, including on mobile phone (though instructions for downloading/installing the latter could be a little clearer). It uninstalled my existing, expiring McAfee product on the PC before installing the new one, although I don’t know whether it would do the same for a rival product. So far, no problems, though only just installed. Have used McAfee for past few years and would recommend.

After reading lots of negative comments I took a risk of purchasing it. I already had mcafee which was due to expire. If you carefully read the downloading instructions while downloading it’s very very easy to instal and renews your existing subscription if you want.
Easy to install and code worked, saw some comments about how it was already used but can confirm mine was okay
Brought for use on pc. Much cheaper doing it this way by code as a two year subscription would cost 24 quid from Amazon while to renew from Mcaffe directly works out at 68 quid. So better to renew yearly from here. Really easy to do in minutes and up to 3 devices protected.
Product as described – easy to download and use to keep up to 3 separate devices fully protected from all computer virus’s. Helps to keep you surfing the net with piece of mind that your PC, laptop, tablet etc is fully protected.
I do not know what all the bad reviews are for this product. I have now purchased my McAfee subscription through Amazon for the last three years. It is so simple, and great quality for such a good price. Honestly, I think it is incompetence that most people struggle with, rather than any actual problems with the software. Would highly recommend.
Disliked the lack of instructions how to install. Dislike how any unused time not added on. Dislike how mcafee keep sending messages stating cover has ceased when they have accepted payment . ????
I have used this product for a number of years now, it’s suits my needs perfectly and covers both my desktop PC but also my mobile phone. I find it’s also cheaper purchasing it yearly via Amazon.
second time of buying this, it’s a doddle to install and set up, cuts out the hassle of waiting for the post to arrive, straight to email, 15 minutes tops to set up. Also better than paying a fortune on renewing.
Been using McAFee for years now and I always buy a new copy, always much cheaper than the auto renew option. Not immediately obvious if you’re new to this where the menu on the website is for you to load the activation key but once you’ve done that then the process of installing is very easy.

My previous McAfee had expired, so I bought this as it was a 3rd cheaper than buying directly from them and also gave me protection for 3 devices.
I found the installation instructions easy to follow and this downloaded on my laptop with minimum fuss. Took about about 30 minutes to do.
Some people have said that they have had problems but I found this very straight forward. Perhaps because I had McAfee before that’s why I didn’t encounter any technical issues.
Very good price and fine if you don’t have loads of devices like me. Easy to install and I’ll probably buy on here again as I used to buy in shops but they were closed this year due to lockdown. Good protection and user friendly.

I have always used Mcafee and always look around when my renewal is coming up. Amazon had a great deal on the price and far cheaper than automatic renewal through the Mcafee website. Once purchased I had an email immediately with the link to my digital downloads and I picked up the code. Went straight to my Macfee account and linked it to my account and my subscription was extended.
Installed on two machines. For each I got the message unable to uninstall old version. I rebooted, resumed the install and it was ok. Standard installation technique which should have been part of the process step. Recieved emails subsequently to say my MacAfee had not installed and the advice on the website did not tell me what I need to do i.e. point my drop down list of installations from the old to the new. Pretty standard stuff if you are technically aware.
Good product but difficult to install. Fortunately, very helpful customer service so the problem was resolved quite quickly and efficiently.
I think I know what to do next time. If you already have an account with McAfee you need to click on your account and find the reference to activation key. This is where one should put in the 25 digit code.
I have used McAfee Total Protection for a number of years now and have had no other problems with it.
I have used McAffee products for a number of years & always found them to be good value for money, easy to install and manage. To date they have kept my devices free of any infections etc.
It was a bit fiddly to install it as it couldn’t remove the previous version, so I had to uninstall the old one from the program files. After restart it installed properly. I ordered the 3 device version, it is running very well on the other laptop too.
Easy to install after creating account etc. Scans ok. No other issues found so far.
Current scans time depends on hardware used. Got two different machines with about 7/8 minutes approx difference.
Easy to buy difficult to install. Had to use macafee online chat that fortunately worked very well.
Worked eventually! Had to go onto the helpline as when we tried to install on the 3 devices and none of them would uninstall the existing Mcafee anti virus – the helpline were good but it took over 3 hours for the technician to sort everything out !
Oh my goodness I had McAfee Total Protection this year and it was highly frustrating to download when I did this last year, this year the app had my subscription to free and wanted me to pay online at McAfee, or so I thought, after hours literally of trying different things I noticed in small blue writing the words add account number here. I didn’t have an account number until I tried the code given to me and put that in and hey presto it worked beautifully. So if you have an iPad follow the email instructions and copy and paste the code in the box from clicking on the small blue words to add account number. This McAfee security gives you VPN too for peace of mind and adds it automatically, once you have successfully added the code – phew! Good value reliable cover too, but knocking a star off as it’s such a faff to download especially a subsequent year.
Super product does all it says it does plus.
However was not as easy to download as I hoped but that could have been me
Get this every year and have learned that you uninstall old version before installing the new one if you don’t you have all sort’s of problems
The installing all went well. No real downside compared to the much more expensive “renewing” your existing antivirus option.
I’m using this software for many years now and i can tell this is the best antivirus software i ever had. Minimum 5-6 years now never had any issues. Recommended for any kind of computer ,or portable device. Thank you
Don’t copy and paste the code you get to activate as it won’t work. Make sure you tap each digit in and it will work a treat.
I had many many offers to try other software, but for many years now McAfee has protected my on line activity. Via Amazon I had a very good price. Better price that buying direct or renew via McAfee. I trust my protection to McAfee for another year…and my thanks to Amazon for price and service….that was post or download on line, I went for download on line very easy.
I like the security McAfee offers in realtime, warns me of instant risks on the net to the hardware and blocks malicious ware. The only slight is running in the background drains the battery on PC and android gadget. Have to decide whether to keep it running in the background for security or run it and keep my gadgets constantly plugged in since batteries drain fast.
I found it a bit hard to install but once done very good
At first I had a problem starting the download, but resolved this quite quickly. The install proceeded after recognising that I already had McAfee installed but was due to expire soon. The Install started by removing the existing version, and replaced it with the new version. However the Install did not update the expiry date. I resolved this by engaging in an online chat with McAfee support, who (with my permission), accessed my laptop and updated the expiry date. All is now fine.
This is the second time I’ve installed McAfee. A fantastic price and super easy to install. What’s not to like! I would thoroughly recommend renewing an existing subscription this way 🙂
McAfee don’t make it easy for people to renew their subscription except by automatic renewal where the cost is considerably higher. Having taken a free trial first, it was necessary for that software to be removed before it would accept the key in my McAfee account despite it being fully upto date. The savings is however still worth the unnecessary hassle
Easy install and easy use , installed an up & running within 10 mins , same when installed on Android tablet . no issues , and no noticeable affect on laptop performance or functions ( unlike the old days of the protection software) .
Having received the renewal cost for our existing McAfee anti-virus software, it proved to be cheaper to replace it with this by a considerable amount of money. No brainier really.
Fails now and again and have to reinstall, possibly because not bought direct from McAfee. Had difficulty installing for first time and also sending link for additional device.
My McAffe anti virus was running out, one month before the expire date they tried to take 69.99 out of my bank account fortunately I had a new bank card but they kept trying but really paying for it one month before hand .
Now I have been with them for quite a few years and realised I have been paying this amount each year.
I found on the internet that I was on a automatic renewal which I switched off and want to manual renewal,
found the same product on Amazon for 9.99 yes 9,99 BIG difference in price ,

Although purchased on Amazon at a fraction of the cost, not impressed with McAfee constantly requesting auto renewal and outlining best price which is still treble what paid direct !
We hit a glitch when trying to install, as it hung at 83%. However, McAfee were amazing and worked for 3 hours to uncover the problem, which was a running banking defence system. Once diagnosed we were up and running quickly! Thank you so much support team!
Besides that, as a 67 year old timer, I have managed to renew successfully each time, and this product saves the high subscription the auto renewal prompts quote, which start from about three months before the end of licence date, which I also find pretty annoying. The auto renewal is easily turned off so i don’t think that is a big issue. I switched mine off at the end of the update while still logged into my McAfee account. I had two other devices also running McAfee, and they seemed to automatically pick up the renewal.
This is the fifth copy I have of this. McAfee want 79.00 every year to renew the license. It is far cheaper to ditch the old copy and install a new licensed copy each year. Ten out of ten for value Amazon.
Brought this on black Friday deal. Very glad I did, works great and is easy to navigate through the menus. Gives my laptop clear and in-depth protection, automatically shows me when it scans every download and the default settings will block any harmful files or programs.

Have used McAfee for many years now. Not encountered any nasties as yet. Easy to install, can leave it running in the background without worry or do on the spot checks if required without problem. Am very happy with the program.
simple to use, previously used AVG, happy in comparison to price of each programme, McAfee does all AVG did at better price.
I read a few reviews of people not being able to register the product so i was worried it may not work..what i found was if you copy and paste the code it misses a digit off so count the number of digits in the activation code and add what is missing…i did and it works fine ….give it a try ..fully recommend …
I already had McAfee Total Protection installed and the renewal was due. Saw it here on Amazon and couldn’t believe the price difference ! Bought here and downloaded the online code. I used the McAfee site and my current account with them to renew. No uninstalling old accounts was involved, just my expiry date was extended for another year. I had to agree to auto-renewal but just set a reminder to alter this in eleven months time. I also did the same for my tablet, and all in the whole process took about 15 minutes. Very pleased with this and will do the same next year. Highly recommended !
Good value for money compared to going to McAfee direct or simply renewing – even though this is a McAfee product. Easy to install and very little setting up, including on mobile phone (though instructions for downloading/installing the latter could be a little clearer). It uninstalled my existing, expiring McAfee product on the PC before installing the new one, although I don’t know whether it would do the same for a rival product. So far, no problems, though only just installed. Have used McAfee for past few years and would recommend.
