Bought in 2016 and still works in 2024
I bought this dehumidifier 8 years ago in February and it still works. Only things that have changed are the white colour which is expected after so many years with sun light, and it gets a little louder with age, which is easily fixed by leaving the handle upright. Highly recommend. Bought the 12L for my small 3 bed house.

    Meaco Dehumidifie
Bought this to help dry clothes/washing. It is excellent, works really well/efficient, yes there is a noise but shut the door!
Haven’t given ‘sleep mode’ a score as never used the function.

Please reduce the price of this device so that everyone can eat it and not harm their health more
The sound does not bother me day and night, it has reduced the mold and humidity a lot, it is on from morning to night and the price of electricity is very low, but the price of this device is high and I request you to reduce it and take less profit so that everyone can buy it. Everyone should use it and get more health

    Worth every penny
Great dehumidifier and amazing the amount of water it collects.
We have bad condensation during the winter months and previously bought disposable dehumidifiers that never really solved the problem.
This has done wonders and really keeps it under control, without having to be on all day either.
I have it set up on a smartplug and routine so the autoturnon function is great for clicking on at certain times.

    Really makes a difference
Waited a few weeks before writing a review just in case. Safe to say this product really does work. Put it on overnight and in the morning, the tank was half full already. But the whole house was dry, even upstairs (this was placed downstairs). It tackled the whole house which was unbelievable. After about a week and a half, the humidity levels began to stabilise in the house, which means it will switch itself on and off when it needs to. It does dry the clothes as well and as an added bonus, it even blows out slightly warm air ( added heat for the house really). And it hasn’t broken the bank either. Very cheap to run considering the way it works. When it was first used, it was on non stop in the first week and as I said, did not break the bank. Yes it will be an extra cost to your electricity, but not much at all. This is a really good product and would fully recommend it.

Does a good job and removed a good amount of water. Only criticism is the timer setting function. I set it to come on whilst we were away on holiday but it didn’t. Instructions aren’t great so probably user error du to inadequate instructions.

I have only had time so far to test this out in our living room with an airer full of washing. It works like a dream and I was amazed to find a litre of water already in the container after just over an hour! I had not realised that it doesn’t have castors as other models do, but there is a useful carry handle which folds down when not in use. And it is not too heavy. All in all, so far, I am very happy. Maybe will write a better review when I have had for a longer time!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEffective and does what it says
At 1st when I turned it on, I didn’t understand why it was blowing warm air out but realised our house is quite humid and with most dehumidifiers this tends to happen till the humidity reaches lower levels. Not really a issue as should of done my research on dehumidifiers. Other than that it works like a breeze. I keep it on all day but I do leave it off at night which I am still wondering if I should just let it run 24/7. The water tank holds quite a lot and it’s nice it has two fan functions.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersCreates a much more pleasant indoor environment….
We bought the Meaco 20L to replace a Meaco ABC 12 which finally failed after 4 years’ continual hard work dehumidifying our home, which tends towards a damp environment.

This is a compressor based dehumidifier which has proven to remove an astonishing amount of humidity from the atmosphere; more quickly than our previous ABC 12 which also impressed us. The 20L has removed up to two containers-full (total 12 litres) of moisture during 24 hours and promises to be able to remove more in a wetter environment. The humidity required can be set in increments of 5% and the unit can be set to continually remove moisture (laundry mode). We have two separate humidity meters in our home and, whereas the ABC 12 used to agree fairly well with the humidity amount, the 20L seems less accurate and tends to show a higher humidity (5% approx.) than the meters. This is quite easily workable but, in our case, may have lead, initially, to a drier environment than we would wish if we did not have an independent means to measure.

Despite being the larger (20L) unit, this runs quietly so has not proved invasive during time spent at home. In fact, we really don’t notice it’s there apart from the nicer atmosphere it creates for us. Condensation no longer occurs and, by using the unit’s adjustable louvre, dehumidified air can be directed at various degrees between straight up and forwards which can be useful for, say, helping dry washing on an airer indoors. This unit takes a HEPA filter which creates an even more pleasant atmosphere by removing the micro-particles in the air as it dehumidifies. There is one free HEPA filter included with the unit but further filters must be bought separately. Our experience so far suggests it will be worth continuing to use and replace these filters.

Overall the Meaco 20L is proving to be a very capable unit and we would not hesitate to buy another or recommend the unit to others.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersSo good I bought a second one
At first I thought my first purchase of one of these was a bit pricey. However, it performed very well and was cheap to run, sub 10p per hour according to my smart meter. I’ve also realised that the moisture within my house can be quite high – it’s fully insulated. Whilst weather can influence the relative humidity I have found using this dehumidifier valuable as it reduces the moisture in the air and also has a hepa filter, which I use. This keeps dust down. And, I no longer use my tumble dryer which replicates having clothes on a line. To explain, towels have a rougher feel like when dried in the open air. Anyway, I liked it so much I bought another to give my house full coverage.

    Works great - very pleased
Love this, use in winter months when it’s damp. Definitely collect overnight as we only use during this time when we sleep. Cleared up window condensation, air is warmer after use so less use of house heating needed. Easy to use and empty. Is heavy when I move it upstairs but still manageable. Can wheel it around floor. Love the option to blow the moving fan around room. Pleased with purchase. Thank you

Reliable and cost effective: I've had it running continuously now for about 2 years!
I wanted to review this product after owning it for about 3 years.

It deserves a great review as it has kept my basement damp-free for about 2 years. Originally, I would use it intermittently, but for about 2 years I have just kept it on as it doesn’t seem to affect my energy usage much.

A top quality and one I spent a while comparing to others on the market, due to the purchase price being what I thought was high. In retrospect, it is a bargain.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersGreat product and fantastic suppo
Bought a large detached house that had not been lived in for 15+years. This dehumidifier literally ran day and night for over 12 months (almost 24/7 moved to different rooms) and transformed the internal moisture levels to less than 40% throughout. It may be on the expensive side to buy, but the quality and features are brilliant. After such intensive use, it developed a fault and a quick call to Meaco (very helpful) and, after running some diagnostic tests, they shipped me a box and arranged a separate collection for an inspection and optional service (25?- no brainer!). Received an email a few days later saying it could not be repaired – but also saying they would ship a brand new replacement which arrived the day after the email! Faultless service, great machine and lovely company to deal with. I won’t hesitate to buy from them again.

Efficient dehumidifier with low energy consumptio
We bought this dehumidifier because we live in a flat in London so we dry our clothes indoors. Last year the humidity levels would be around 70-80% but they are now around 50%.
The dehumifier is very efficient and with the filter we also ensure the air we breath is cleaner.
One of the purchases we have made through Amazon.

The unit is compact and manoeuvrable. It extract moisture very well and the humidity in my flat has come down considerably as the windows don’t drip with condensation any more. On the down side it is louder on high than I would like.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Userswish we had bought one sooner.
We live on the coast in the far north of Scotland, in a 2 bedroomed bungalow. Bought the 12L dehumidifier because we have a problem with small damp patches on both of our north facing bedroom walls. Over time we’ve tried most basic remedies for dealing with this, but finally, after much research, decided on the Meaco.
Delivery was very fast. The dehumidifier was upside down when we opened the package, and instructions say to leave for 4 hours in upright position before using. We left the machine for 24 hours to be sure. Switched on and followed easy instructions to set up. The humidity level showed 64% at first, and we set it for 40%. Within a very short time, humidity showed 54%, and after 19 hours the 2.5 litre tank was full. Machine switched off, beeped x 4 and red light flashed. Emptied tank, replaced, and machine switched on again. 15 hours later, tank needed emptying again, and humidity down to 49-50%. The machine is in our bedroom, and we have no problem with the noise level. Keeping all the room doors open, so expect it to take a while before the machine gets to set level. So far it’s costing about 1.00 a day to run, but expect this to be less once set humidity level is reached. Early days, but very impressed so far, and truly amazed at how much water this little machine has collected.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersVery effective but the price is high
I was surprised the first day I used it. It collected 6 litres of water in 24 hours. But it collects around 3 litres of water in 24 hours these days and moulds stopped to appear in the cold spaces of the house. It reduces 80 degrees moisture level to 38 in 5 hours if the room temperature is 20 selcius. The price of this product is high comparing with other similar brands. In total I am fairly satisfied with purchasing this product after two weeks of using it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersJust.....WOW
The best thing I have ever ever bought, even my husband agrees.
Sucks up every bit of moisture in the air after showering or steam ironing or after boiling saucepans on the hob. No more damp / mould. A brilliant bit of kit. Supposed to be cheap to run but I haven’t had the bill yet. Even so, I won’t quibble about the bill being a bit higher, assuming it is, because the benefits one of these brings, far outweighs any negatives.
Only negative, and it is a picky one, is that it’s very heavy. It’s okay if moving from one room to another as it glides on wheels. Taking it up or downstairs is a bit of a maul. Do what I do and get a strapping son to do it for you.
Can’t praise this item enough, you’ve got to get one. I got the bigger version and glad I did.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWorth the investment, but quite heavy
I’ve been after one of these for a while, but due to the energy prices they’ve been pretty hard to get.

I finally managed to get one and it’s massively better than the old one we have, which took days to dry washing. I dried a full load of clothes and 2 bath sheets from a previous load overnight in the dining room, going from nearly 80% humidity to just under 50% by the time we woke up and checked it. Everything dry, no issues.

2 drawbacks, however. It is a bit noisy so make sure it’s far enough away from your bedroom overnight, and it’s really heavy even without water in it. Not an issue if it just sits in the same place, but if you move it about it is something to consider.

All in all, 8/10. Dries really well, reasonably quiet (you can hear a quiet hum from the next room, but you couldn’t sleep with it on in the same room etc). Quite heavy but then again it does draw a lot of water out of the room it’s in, so worth the trade off.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersIt gets the job done and it does it well
We were lucky to snatch up this 20 L Meaco dehumidifier up before it sold out. We bought it because we were noticing a ridiculous amount of condensation on our windows in our 3 bed house and we wanted a more cost effective way to dry out laundry in the winter. Let me tell you, it does the job and it does it well. The amount of water it collects is a massive eye opener, even when you don’t think it is humid in your house, believe it is. It has a nice feature that shuts off when tank is full and a child lock to ensure settings don’t change. It is quite heavy to lift so I would advise finding an area like the landing and keep all doors open in the house to draw the moisture to the unit. The Air Purifier mode is such a lovely touch and the complimentary HEPA Filter works amazingly. The house smells so much fresher and we can breathe better as some of us have allergies. It works well in cold temperatures when the heating isn’t on and makes the house warmer just by removing moisture from the air. I would definitely recommend this to anyone I know. It’s worth every penny.

Sensible price, I’ve used it now for a few months and I’m very happy with it. I live in a 3 bed mid terrace that had some damp patches on the walls. Now gone. I don’t have a tumble dryer so drying clothes was becoming difficult. Takes 2 days to dry with humidifier running. House feels a little warmer when it runs. Running for 24 hrs a day at the moment, costing 6 p per hour to run (Dec 2022) Didn’t think at first it was all thar quiet but got used to it now. Hardly notice it. Mainly use in the living room but easy to move upstairs. Pleased I chose this model.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersSuperb....!
I bought this less than a week ago, to help with the coldness felt now it’s coming into autumn. WOW!!! In the first 11 hours, it took out just over 3 litres of water from my front room/ dining room. Since then, have moved it around the house, ( 2 bedroomed, 1 bathroom, 2 downstairs rooms and kitchen), end terrace, and probably taken out 20 litres or more. I have left it on during the night, and even during the day when I go to work. Coming home, is great, as well as in the morning, because it takes out that dampness and with it recycling the air, which is slightly warmer, it definitely takes the chill out of the room. This has worked so well, that I have ordered a second one for upstairs. I have put the central heating on a couple of times, just because it’s been chilly, and because of the moisture being taken out of the house, I’ve had to turn down the central heating, because it’s not had to work so hard to heat the house. This machine is a game changer. It’s a bit pricey, BUT in the whole, I think it will help reduce the heating bills and will eventually pay for itself.

Bit of a love affair here
I bought this to go in the cupboard under the stairs so we could speed up the time it takes to dry our laundry on a clothes horse. We checked the energy ratings and according to 2022 guidelines this model costs about 3p per hour (compared to a guzzly tumbler) and you only need to leave it on overnight to dry a full load of washing. There’s a timer setting so you can whack that on and forget about the drying for the evening. Would shamelessly recommend!

Use it as a clothes drie
Decided to try this instead of a tumble-drier in small utility room. I hang as much as I can from clothes hangers – so putting stuff away afterwards involves little work. Can’t hear it running with the door shut. Did worry that my clothes might start to smell musty – as damp for hours whilst drying. Not so. Everything but thick towels, trainers (yes!) and sweatshirts/jogging-pants dries within four hours. The other stuff I leave to dry overnight (after emptying the tank). Now hang my outerwear and umbrella in the room as well – to benefit from the drying. Even if it doesn’t save power (I don’t know) it’s so easy. I’m converted.

    One thirsty dehumidifie
Will beat you in a drinking competition.. Jokes aside this is a great buy, more energy efficient than rivals . removes moisture at great speed. Living in a studio apartment with kitchen and bedroom all integrated when I cook or do my washing there is a great deal of moisture that causes mold growth, insomnia . Even moisture from my own breathing overnight can accumulate. This dehumidifier takes care of all that and keeps humidity at an ideal 40% for sleep. before purchase the level was at 65-75% which was too uncomfortable and caused interrupted sleep

Meaco 12L Low Energy Dehumidifier and Air Purifier 2 in 1
Received my item in good condition, delivery was great as well.

It was easy to setup, ease to use and it comes with a free HEPA filter.

Ran the dehumidifier function for 4-6 hours and compared to room humidity to my humidity thermometer and it’s identical. Able to see moisture being absorb in the water tank.

Purifier works as intended, noticed that I don’t sneeze or cough that much anymore due to allergies. Fan noise was okay for me when running the purifier mode, I was able to sleep with it on but the when running the dehumidifier mode, the fan noise is loud and since my model doesn’t comes with fan speed options, probably just gonna use the dehumidifier mode on daytime.

Product isn’t too big and perfect for a single room use (rental room) and easy to travel with if you’re moving from place to place.

Looking forward to updating my initial review after 6 months of usage.

    This 1 actually works.
4l over 6 hours is pretty darn good. It likes watts. Not using energy rated as suggested in said RH/TEMP on box. Uses 280watts in its peak. Well that’s what the tester says. Goes from 230-280 in its highest working conditions 25c 60rh. 4l over 6hrs. Heats the whole house. Even though we got it just to get damp out of 1 room. 6hrs 4l later the room is bone dry room RH down from 67% to 41 went back up to 48 28hrs later. We also use it 1hr during the day & 1hr during the evening to heat up the house. Only gas needed for hot water now. With gas going up 33% this is a product that will increase the electricity bill but cut gas by 80%. So, it pays for the watts it uses, you have to look at it like that. Cause over 48hrs we’ve used 17kwh as opposed to our normal 5-8 kwh. But we’ve used 30mins of gas for hot water instead of 6hrs a day in gas so 11.5hrs in gas not used. About 7-8. Electricity will cost 58cents after vat and all that. So, about 4e worth of extra watts and 7-8 in gas saved. So, total savings 3-4. Love the free HEPA filter. Thank you.

I bought this product from Amazon only a few weeks ago. It arrived fast and put it to use straight away. We use it normally for drying laundry especially in the winter months. It is early in its career to be able to review reliably the energy usage but regarding its operation as a dehumidifier so far it seems to be extremely efficient with great water capacity and a variety of settings to suit sufficiently many situations. It is also easy to move around the home.

We are very pleased and would highly recommend It.

It looks good, and is easy to move with its sturdy handle. It is very quiet. After an hour in front of my washing on my airer, I emptied a litre of water from the no-fuss container. I was skeptical about any dehumidifier after using some smaller cheap ones. Went all in. No regrets. This machine has changed our house! It’s removed and keeps removing so much monsters. House smells better and feels so dry and ‘cosy’. The warmth from the heating stays so much longer. No condensation on the windows or the cold spots anymore! I would even contemplate getting a second to keep one upstairs and one downstairs. I genially was shocked how much water it pulled out the house, especially at the start of using it.

    Best I've tried
Have tried other dehumidifiers (cheaper) but have all started to leak after 2-3 months, this one so far, so good. Like the fact has about double the capacity of previous units, means have to empty every other day as opposed to once a day but is a bit weighty when removing and pouring could do with a better design.
Tip: Turn machine OFF before removing/emptying water container otherwise tends to drip if left on. Once emptied and container replaced, turn back on. Overall, this machine feels more substantial than previous and so far performs well hence ‘Best I’ve Tried’.

Tip: Turn machine OFF before removing/emptying water container otherwise tends to drip if left on. Once emptied and container replaced, turn back on. Overall, this machine feels more substantial than previous and so far performs well hence ‘Best I’ve Tried’.

Works well but bit noiser and heavier than expected
Surprised at how much water it extracts! Works great to dry the washing when hanging out. Slightly louder than expected but does blend into the background when it’s been running a while.

    heavenly produc
we have had this now for a few weeks and we are delighted with it.
our council bungalow suffers from damp and we have the thing on 24/7 and it purifys the air and removes a lot of moisture from the air which means we empty it every 2 to 3 days.
The sound is bearly audible and the cat is perfectly fine with it even from day one never seeing anything like it the device didnt even make much noise at all sept for the little sound alarm in it that rings to let you know when its full and needs emptying.

So glad I chose the Meaco 20L .
Only had the Meaco 20L dehumidifier 2 weeks and it is proving invaluable.
It does everything it says on the tin!
Very pleased. I would thoroughly recommend this product.

    Amazing results
I was sceptical about just how much humidity this could pull out of the air, I shouldn’t have been. We noticed mold in the corner of our bedroom and wall paper peeling in November 2021. Bought the Meaco 20L and have run it every few days, left for a day it fills the tank which is crazy. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

    Very good.
Easy to move around. Handles a 2 bed bungalow cottage no problem. Not loud. I like the air filter only function. Good for pollen in the summer.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat purchase
Overall I’m delighted with this product and it has done exactly what I needed it to do. I live in a listed building where I have a curved metal window. It’s impossible to secondary glaze and I’m not allowed to remove it. The frame had always been a condensation trap which during the winter runs with water causing black mould to the plaster surrounding it. This product has solved the problem in its entirety and i have zero condensation now. It’s a neat unit, easy to move and operate. One small issue is that sometimes it vibrates and the noise can be irritating but i find popping a wedge under one corner solves the problem. Overall i would not be without it.

very good product but bad service
Good dehumidifier, but came with black marks on top, customer service said you have to clean it yourself, but I tryed and it non removable. Very unhappy, expect to receive new item without any marks, and is pretty expensive, not cheap, If I pay for good quality thing it should be without any marks

We bought a Meaco 20L Dehumidifier on a Which Best Buy recommendation and having trialled an alternative. I couldn’t be more pleased with the product. It was originally bought to prevent damp and mould in an old property and completely sorted the issue. Having moved house, we’ve gone on to use it as a low energy alternative to a tumble dryer and it’s been brilliant. A very well designed and made product from great British company. It may be made in China (like your iPhone and most of the quality electrical items you own) but Meaco is a top end brand and thoroughly recommended.

I am really glad that I purchased this item, it has helped me out no end. I noticed the difference within hours. The only downside I have found is that it costs more per hour than the other write ups advise but on the other hand gets my washing dry without the use of a tumble drye

    Good product.
This products works really well. Well switched on it gives an immediate reading of the humidity in the atmosphere. You can set it to a certain level (50 is recommended in the instructions). There are 2 speed settings for the fan and a timer if you want the device to run for a certain amount of time before switching itself off. It certainly extracts an impressive amount of water from the atmosphere and there is an indicator that shows when the water container is full. It is also useful for speeding up drying of clothes and the instructions show optimum settings for this scenario. I haven’t yet had an electric bill since in began using the device so cannot tell how much additional energy it is using, but the claims are that it uses minimal amounts of electricity to operate. I usually have the fan on the low setting as, I would imagine, this uses less energy. The fan is recommended to be on high setting for clothes drying.

20l collected on average every 2 days!
An excellent dehumidifier, we empty ours almost every day, we knew condensation was an issue but cannot believe the amount of water drawn into the machine!
Excellent value for money, no longer having to dry down inside wet windows every morning, and yes, we do keep the windows open/air slots open all year round.

    So far so good
Easy to use, only been on for 2 days but first night extracted around 3 ltrs of moisture, we have it in our conservatory next to the bedroom, slight humming noise could be heard, and that is with the bedroom window open, so did not affect sleep at all, simple to empty just pull out the bucket and empty in to sink, we have a large conservatory and the walls are brick, it’s a single skinned wall with no ventilation, sliding glass doors and 2 large windows to the side, all get full of condensation and the walls get black mould, hopefully not any more, first morning no condensation and none since using if this carries on…. Great product.

Erm..where has this been all my life
Firstly there isn’t anything to dislike about the Meaco Dehumidifier. It’s amazing. I no longer have any condensation on my windows, I leave this on in my hallway and it keeps my home feeling less humid and fresher. Living in Cornwall by the Ocean means we suffer with high humidity levels and constant condensation on our windows, Not anymore! Also is fab for drying your washing Well worth the money. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a decent dehumidifier. It’s not noisy, obviously you can hear it but it’s not annoying, I sleep easily whilst the dehumidifier is running. It’s amazing how much moisture it catches. It’s easy to use, easy to clean and easy to move from room to room due to its coasters. Thanks Meaco!

We didn’t have a particularly damp house, just wanted to help with the drying of clothes in the winter. It has been removing 20l of water nearly every 24hrs. It’s been a great purchase.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThe perfect dehumidifie
Last winter I had a serious problem with condensation in my house. The windows would be soaking wet and opening the windows wouldn’t make much of a difference. Soon black mould began to appear in several locations which was quite stressful. I consulted various damp proofing specialists, all of which gave me expensive solutions and no guarantee the issue would be eradicated.

This year I decided to buy a dehumidifier to see if it makes a difference. The first one I bought (different make/model) did the job well, but drained energy. I returned it and bought another one (again, different make/model) but I wasn’t convinced it was doing the job. Third time lucky, I bought this Meaco unit. It’s perfect. The unit now effortlessly controls humidity across the entire house. Sometimes I move it around from room to room but most of the time it’s not necessary. The unit is a little heavy but its no bother thanks to its easy manoeuvrability and high quality build. The water tank is large so I don’t have to worry about it filling up constantly. The noise level is no louder than a fan, and actually for me white noise helps me sleep better so it doesn’t bother me at all. I can’t get over how quickly it dries laundry. In the winter when laundry actually contributes to the humidity issue, it’s no longer a problem.

And finally, this year I’ve had no black mould and I feel like I’m breathing much healthier air.

This unit has been a been a little miracle for me. It’s reduced my stress levels, improved my quality of life and I feel healthier. I couldn’t recommend this unit enough.

    Great Dehumidifier, top quality produc
Bought this product to remove damp from our new bungalow, as soon as we switched it on it started to remove gallons of water!!! Added the Hepa filter and every room now smells much better and much healthier. Selected the Meaco product for it quality and energy efficiency .
Brilliant for drying washing, we get very little condensation on the windows, wife loves it.
Home feels much warmer and we have had to turn the heating down
    Highly recommend

    Love it.
I had a cheap dehumidifier, bought this one and noticed a big difference. My old one was 170w but would be on all night and couldn’t get the humidity to 55% ever, this one’s obviously a bit more but goes down to my set humidity at 55% within a hour or two then switches off automatically! And check the room humidoty every half hour to see if it needs to switch back on Saving a lot of power, use it to dry my clothes, it’s a lot quieter than my other one also. Only thing I will say is it is pretty heavy but has wheels on them. It’s so brilliant. Would strongly recommend

    Game change
This dehumidifier is a game changer ! We love in an older house and I always thought the house had excess moisture and I was right !
I have to empty this twice a day so it’s clearly doing it’s job! Plus when I have washing in the house it drys within a day and not 5 days like it used to ! Fab!
The only thing is it’s noisier then I thought but not a horrendous noise just like a loud fan. Small price to pay I reckon.

    Impressed so fa
Only having it a couple of weeks hard to say what the energy efficiency is going to be like but as a unit its self really impressed, working wonders drying the washing this time of year and great in taking the moisture out of the rooms also the air feels alot fresher as well, so to sum it up so far cannot complain with the unit as a good dehumidifier.

A great dehumidifier that works well
Overall very pleased with this dehumidifier. This is my first dehumidifier so can’t compare it with anything. It’s far from silent but it didn’t really stop me from sleeping. Works well but the only complaint is that the humidity level shown on the display is way out. For example, it might show the current level to be 57 when my hygrometer is displaying 45. But as I rely on my trusted hygrometer, this doesn’t bother me. I would recommend this product.

This Meaco is a great dehumidifier as it’s on wheels, no heavy lifting. The flap automatically opens when switched on (unlike the smaller one) and the collection box has a handle (unlike the smaller one)
I have one upstairs which I bought a three years and this 2nd one bought to use downstairs. Don’t go for the smaller one.

It certainly appears to be doing the job well
While I can’t confirm the energy efficiency as I don’t have a smart meter nor understand the calculations but that is one of the reasons I bought this particular model. It is certainly extracting the water out of the atmosphere, is quiet and very portable to move between rooms and due to it’s size, quite unobtrusive. So far it is operating as described and I am very pleased with the purchase of this model. Controls are relatively straightforward.

The noise is a low hum we’ve sleep through.
    Manoeuvrability is excellent.
    Water extraction amazing.
Worth every pennyit’s turned our 2 bed flat with condensation problems into a comfortable living space. No more running windows, damp corners or black mould. The flat feels warmer and we’ve taken the thermostat down a couple of degrees.

The machine did an amazing job of drying out a pretty damp unheated room in a few days. It was a bit noisier than I had expected, but given its efficiency, it is only a small niggle.
I have tried two other machines but this was, by far, absolutely superior.

    THE RNLI OF DEHUMIDIFIERS
First Dehumidifier we’ve ever bought , so cannot compare to others , but I can tell you it’s collecting some water , it’s a wonder we have’nt drown lol thank you Meaco
We rent a privately owned over priced 2 bedroom flat which suffers terrible with Damp , Condensation ,
Wet windows , it has poor ventilation needs windows all year round , open window to shower no extractor etc etc
Mould spores randomly appearing anywhere and everywhere even with windows open all year round , also been using endless amount of plastic moisture traps have helped but not perfect and expensive overtime !
Meaco 12 L was our choice on your recommendation and since using it we’ve had no wet windows , things around the place seem a whole lot drier let’s hope it stays that way .
We are definitely impressed but early days yet , it’s not totally silent but bearable and fingers crossed doesn’t add to much to the electric bill as stated .
Quite expensive item but would definitely purchase again , it’s working so far so thumbs up from us
    thank you Meaco

Does the job I wanted it fo
I found the directions for setting up a bit difficult although with my old technology brain ,due to my age that is not a surprise!.I want it for helping to dry my washing during the Winter. But once my son had set it up and explained it to me I found it is very simple to use,and indeed most efficient at extracting the water. It is perhaps a little noisy, but although I do live in a small cottage kthst is not a problem.
