With one home worker and no less than three different coffee machines and a kettle we use these quite a lot. Follow the makers’ instructions for the machines and use these regularly you get no nasty shocks at the bottom of the cup. Thoroughly recommend
Does the job quickly and efficiently. Not much else to be said other than it would be nice to see biodegradable packing, if such a thing is possible with these chemicals?
Works effectively on my kettle. It was Value for money at the time of purchase but NOT at the new increased price.
Works great in the kettle. I live in a hard water area and use a couple of sachets every ten weeks or so. Dissolves limescale and leaves the kettle looking new. Smells a little of vinegar, but is not overpowering.

Only paid 1 for these and did a great job on my kettle! Only took 10 minutes and easy enough to do so would definitely recommend. Stand away whilst doing it though as it does get down your throat a bit!

This is my go to descaler for my kettle, it does the job and it lasts for ages, especially good in hard water areas
I was a bit dubious about this as it says it can damage painted surfaces and as my KitchenAid kettle was not cheap, I was super paranoid! Anyway, it had to be done as it was starting to scale up even though we only use filtered water in it and it came up like new! Just be careful when you’re pouring it out i guess and all should go well .

Arrived quickly and was easy to use – just follow the instructions on the lack. Used to clean my kettle – all the lime scale was removed on the first use and as a result my kettle is boiling faster than before.
Very easy to use – boiled the kettle half full, poured in the liquid from 1 sachet (I also poured some down the spout as it had limescale on the end) and left for 15mins. I then poured it out and the kettle was completely revived. The first time I did it I did it twice – very hard water in London and also had never done it before after having the kettle for years. I now do it every couple of months or so to keep it manageable and makes the kettle look nearly new.

Found that using one sachet when the kettle is moderately scaly it cleans it right up.
With a second kettle that we have, when it is super scaly it takes two attempt, so its better to top it up rather than let it get really bad.

Used this product to descale kettle. Instructions were easy to follow and I now have a clean kettle!!!
For stubborn scales, I had the liquid in the kettle for a longer time and when the bubble fizzed out, I boiled the water for couple of seconds and this seemed to kick start the fizzing.
Got 3 packets for a great price. I love this descaler i use it regularly on my kettle and my kettle is still going strong after 3 years. And i drink alot of coffee. Works really well would recommend leaving it in for a hour though its so more effective.
It works! Follow the instruction so that you don’t end up messing the colour of your kettle but the limescale came right off. Nice and easy

I found that I needed to descale my kettle twice as the first time didn’t work completely. I can’t say that the product wasn’t good enough as it could be our water. It’s better than what is was before so I’d still recommend.
I usually buy from super markets but this popped up here and it was cheaper than what I usually pay.

I usually reboil the kettle with the solution in.
Empty and rinse well.
Fill and reboil kettle and then empty.
Now good to go.
Of course, your milage may vary, depending on the water hardness of your area.
Only gripe, had to buy 2 boxes, Amazon would not let me buy 1 box.

Oust multi buy I normally buy this product once a year but several boxes at a time so it lasts , I live in a hard water area in Hampshire and although all my water goes through a filter jug prior to the kettle I still have to use a couple of sachets every other month on my kettle and coffee maker . Since I’ve been using Oust my latest kettle has lasted twice as long as previous kettles . Excellent limescale remover also works really well on the shower head .

Tried a couple of others and none were up to the job!! An wasn’t sure if this would do the what it claims where the others had failed!! But proved extremely effective gleaming shiny kettle!!!
Ok, this descaler works great. I moved to a new appartment and the kettle was dirty as hell, with deposits so thick, removed it all within 30 minitues. I added one sachet to about 500 ml hot water, kept heathing it every 5 minutes (avoid boiling) and thats it eveything was clean as new.
The only thing made me give 4 stars is that the mininum order is “2” buy I only received “1”

I live in hard water area and there is always a build up of lime scale in my kettle. every other week i use these descalers and my kettle becomes as clean as new. Very easy to use and brilliant results.
Love the liquid texture and individual satchets unlike powdery descalers which get a bit messy. One satchet is sufficient for a kettle. Works like a dream. A bit pricy but worth it!
Absolutely pleased with the results. The water is so hard in the area where we are. We have a glass kettle and it needs descaling every few weeks. This works within seconds and does everything it says it does.
I wanted to descale a couple of large hot water flasks. Boy! It did a good job. It really did clear all that limescale that I got so fed up of, when lemon, vinegar solutions etc did not work. I should’ve used this first. Cleared the base from limescale within 10 minutes, it probably didn’t even take 10 minutes. Then I tilted the flask around at different angles to reach the upper parts of the flask. Looking brand new inside and no limescale flakes appearing in my cups of hot water! Brill! Thanks

This is easy and quick to use. It’s mostly effective but I did find that not all of the limescale was removed, even after extra boiling as it suggests to do if not all is removed. Most of it is though, so it’s still good for the price.
The fparcel was delayed by Royal Mail and the company were very helpful and quick to respond to my messages. Brilliant product and worked a treat on my kettle
I always use this brand as it does the job perfectly! I use this for my kettle and it’s easy to use and it brings it back looking like new again.
As someone commented before, they used it for their iron as I did too. I wish I never did, the fumes in the kitchen was over whelming and I had to open all windows and door and I had to go outside along with my dog. It took a long time to clear and got on my chest.
Great for kettles but NOT irons.
Oust works perfectly but I was after a descaler containing citric acid.
At the time of this review, Amazon shows citric acid in the technical specifications – I have notified them of this error.
I was reluctant to use it as my Philips Senseo specifies citric acid based descalers but I believe lactic acid is relatively mild and it worked ok.
Oust is widely available on the high street and so the price here is competitive rather than exceptional.
Can’t fault the product, just wish it had been citric acid.
Had a very old, scaly kettle. Did the job well. Needed to re heat a few times, but only needed one sachet.
These do in fact work and fast..I’m not sure if there is any effect in the long-term.
I also make a cold solution(1 sachet with a spray bottle of water) and use to clean the cooker at times and this does work for that also

This really works. I was planning to buy a new kettle as my lovely red one had been overtaken by limescale. I decided to use this and can’t believe how well it worked. Removed 99% of the limescale. I will be buying more.
Worked like a charm! For heavy scale, the smell can be quite pungent. Do it in a well vented place!

Our kettle looked like a coral reef despite a recent effort to descale.
Now it took 3 lots of double sachets (6 in total) but it got the kettle looking like new. It boils more quickly and we aren’t drinking the White Cliffs of Dover every time we have a cup of tea which is a welcome relief.
It is pretty strong stuff so left the windows and doors open so would advise not doing this in an enclosed airless space.
We’re happy and the kettle’s happy.
My kettle had lots of limescale built at the bottom and around it. One use with this product and it looks sparkling brand new. Defo recommend this product.
This product good for my kettle, my kettle look like new , Removes all limescale, very good, and got an immediate result from a single sachets.
This was easy to use, just boil half the kettle then add this liquid and then leave it for a minimum of 10 minutes. After that the limescale is gone you just rinse and then boil the kettle again and rinse once more. This is also suitable for kettle and shower which makes it ideal as you can get other descalers that are only for kettles.
Easy to use good value for money and helps keep my kettle clean as we live in a hard water area its hard to get it all off but this works and with no scrubbing
We unfortunately live in a very hard water area and need to descale our kettle almost weekly.
Been using Oust for years and usually by the 3 sachet pack in Tesco for a little under 3 per pack.
Purchasing this product as a bulk item makes it a much more economical way to purchase it especially as we use it so frequently.
It works really well and leaves the kettle looking good as new.
Would recommend this descaler it works well and works quickly.
Buy this. My aging coffee machine’s now working like new. Does two big mugs of brew (reservoir about 2/3rds full) in about 10 minutes! What!? Not sure it did that when I bought it! This is the business for de-coking your crudded-up appliances
Absolutely gobsmacked by the efficiency of this product.
I had an old kettle that really needed dealing and to be honest I bought this product thinking that’s my last chance before buying a new kettle. Didnt expect much from it but man was I wrong!
As per instructions I used 2 sachets and the kettle was amazingly reset!
Not going to lie and say it was like new, however it was a huge improvement and 95% of the scale was gone! Still have 1 sachet to use which I will do in a couple of month to eliminate the rest of it, but absolutely recommend it!!
I actually had to use 2 sachets to clear that up the first time, but will do it more frequently going forward. Easy to use, and doesn’t take long. After letting it fizz, we jiggled the kettle around a bit (carefully) to make sure the limescale all comes loose.
We made extra sure to rinse the kettle out well before using it again and had no taste etc, being a liquid there’s no powder to get stuck behind. Will keep using and definitely recommend this.

I followed the instructions apart from putting my kettle in the sink. I wish I had! The water soon exploded everywhere. After cleaning up & waiting the 10 minutes my kettle was like new. Will definitely be ordering again!
Fantastic product.One sachet cleared most of the scale,just a bit left so i used another sachet.it cleared the lot.Cheap as chips,,easy to use and does the job very effectively.Cost 1.60 ,iv used other de-scaler before which was more expensive but not as good.you dont need to spend alot,this descaler is really good.Go and buy it.
The results are great, had to use 2 on my kettle and it feels like you are doing a science experiment seeing the chemicals fizz away, annoyingly saw them half the price at a local discount store, but otherwise it is a great product and highly recommended for what it is.
Super cheap and does the job, ignore everyone complaining about ruining paint etc. It literally says to take care around this stuff in the instructions so just follow those and it’ll do the job, everything looks spotless and new agai

With this packet of Descaler, you will receive 3 individual sachets. They really work, I did on my kettle and is really working. After using this product the kettle looks very good.
Just follow the instruction, boil the water, remove the kettle from the electric powder add the sachet and leave the product for a couple of hours. I clean the kettle and boiling a few times before using the water.
The website doesn’t make clear whether this is a powder or liquid.
It is sachets of thick liquid, so can’t vary the strength. It works OK on moderate kettle limescale buildup, but needs some physical limescale removal around the top lip.
So OK, but not the absolute best.
My kettle hasn’t been de scaled in a few months and was in very bad condition. But after two sachets of this my kettle is back to looking as good as new. Seriously it looks as good as new now. These sachets are brill!
We live in a very hard water area so these are a must for us. I’m sure the scale in the kettle makes it very inefficient otherwise
Great descaled. I use this for my IRON – which has stood the test of time (and multiple school uniforms!!).
Knocked down the rating for the price – as I think you can get this slightly cheaper in pound stores/supermarkets.
Used on our kettle and shower head.
Instructions were simple. The shower head came out sparkling first time, I had to reheat the kettle a second time to remove all of the limescale. Really pleased with the result. Our kettle is several years old and had substantial build up, and this managed to clean it right up.
Shame it doesn’t stay that clean for very long. Great price and will buy again in the future.
A really good product, but I always find I need to use 2 sachets, not 1, to fully descale my kettle to a good standard. For a 1 it’s very good value.
Not as thorough as thought, but efficient enough. You will need to do two applications to get Med-Fine scales completely removed.
Dec 2019 update: used one box, equals 3 sachets on my kettle, & it did a marvellous job to the stainless steel, & filter inside the spout. Both came out immaculately clean & brand new. Heating up times has dramatically reduced also.
Works well in my kettle which had some limescale build up. Didn’t remove it all though. I could have done another but felt one should have remove the amount in my kettle. I’m sure when I get time the other two may shift the harder bits.
