Bought this to clean a kettle. Living in a very hard water area the kettles get furred up.
Boil the kettle and add the contents and it will bubble up quite vigorously so follow the instructions or you’ll have boiling water which is full of chemicals flowing over.
I have no idea why Amazon wants you to rate the flavour. For god sake don’t try to eat this stuff.

We live in a hard water area, the kettle is always chalking up. This is great for putting in leaving for 5 mins and then rinsing out. Perfectly clear kettle after.
Old faithful
This to me is the original and most reliable descaler. I’ve used it in my kettle and showerhead numerous times and it always does the job. Sometimes it’s on deal of the day or similar offer where it ends up cheaper than getting it from the supermarket, so good to get a few when that happens. Highly recommend.

I usually use a Wilko brand, but saw these on amazon and thought I’d give it ago. Works a treat, removes all that hard water limescale buildup with ease.

I used to throw the kettles before when I thought theres no fix to it and always bought a new one. But recently I found out about this and it was very easy to use on the kettle. This has made my kettle almost brand new within a matter of minutes. Awesome product, would definity recommend.
I’ve used a number of cleaning products for my kettle, supermarket brands included. I have tried both powders and liquid solutions but I must say that this particular one has done the best job.
It was easy to use and the results were really good. My kettle was shiny just like it was new, shame i cant get the outside as good!
The only negative if i was to flag one is the smell of it… I guess it doesn’t use any additional fragrance and the smell is from the products used to make it. It’s not an offensive smell and it doesn’t linger after use but its not pleasant either.
Overall I would deffo use it again as the results are the best i have seen yet.

Worked a treat on descaling my kettle. Don’t know why they asked me to review its flavour !! I am pretty sure you shouldn’t be drinking it, so have it a zero for taste.

I don’t often write reviews but had to on this occasion. My kettle was heavily scaled so I needed 2 sachets but they’re cheap so that’s not a problem. Very simple to use, fast, and did an excellent job. Will definitely use this descaler again.

I’ve used this brand for years and swear by it. I find the supermarkets rarely sell this one but rather the single pack so this is definitely more value for money.
Works amazingly quick
This is a great life saver! It works quickly and does an incredible job. I used 1 bag for the shower head and soaked it in there for a while. All the limescale was completely gone. Great product, highly recommend.
Kettle needs doing twice but easy to use!
Works well although my kettle needs doing a couple of times to remove the limescale so it isn’t as efficient as others I have tried but it is easier to use than others I think. I will buy again 🙂

Living in a hard water area my kettle is always ‘furring ‘ up. I have tried all sorts of products which have helped but have not cleated it all away. Having a glass kettle it means I can see it. However I have been lazy and it had lime-scale across the the bottom (inside) I read reviews on this product and thought I must try it. I received yesterday and straight away I used a sachet (following the instruction ) I could actually see the scale being resolved .

Frankly, I didn’t even know I’d ordered this until it arrived. However, the casual acquaintances laying all over the living room helped me piece together what happened the previous night.
They indicated I was inspired into purchasing by the popular, dance club floor filler, “Oust at the Weekend” that the DJ had made a fantastic new mix of. We all felt it was a wonderful idea at the time.
However, 52 units is possibly a little bit to much for domestic use so be warned that you shouldn’t operate your Amazon Prime account under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.

It works
Used on my kettle, but had to use 2 sachets. After the process it is like brand new. It works really well.
Worked perfectly if done a certain way
So I found I wasted one packet by following the instructions, made little difference if you follow them as described.
The trick is, this stuff only works well when the water is boiling, ie keep your kettle switched on, let it cool then boil it again. Found this on a YouTube video and it works perfectly.

Better than white vinega
We live in a very hard water area. I’ve been using white vinegar to descale my kettle for years – but it stinks out the kitchen, takes a long time, and you have to use quite a lot of vinegar to get the job done (so it’s not really the cheap option is appears to be).
I’ve also tried “Calsolve” powder, but found it to be no more effective.
I tried one of these Oust sachets out of curiosity and I have to say it was much better. It removed 90% of the scale after 10 mins, and warming the water up again, swilling it around and leaving it for another couple of minutes got rid of the last bit. It doesn’t smell anything like as bad as vinegar. I’ll be sticking with these from now on.

The water were I live is full of heavy limescale and I’ve tried so many productsto no use, but figured I’d try this one and yes it removed it all! My kettle was clean as a whistle. Also there is very little smell. Will buy again!

This worked really well and quickly on my 10 year old kettle which now looks new inside. Far better than other more expensive products I have tried and it left no taint.

Super easy to use.
Boil your kettle 1st, I then place my kettle in the sink and very slowly pour in one of the liquid sachets. Be aware, you need to add the sachet slowly because otherwise the product reacts to the hot water and the kettle will be a over flowing mess of bubbles.
I let the solution stand for 10 minutes, pour out the solution, rinse my kettle and then boil my kettle several times afterwards.
Each time discarding of the hot water, rinsing, and adding fresh water to boil again.
Kettle is left spotless with no traces of limescale left behind.

This is great and can be used on a variety of different items. I’ve used it in our electric kettle, iron machine and shower heads.
This does exactly what it says on the tin. But I just wish that there could be more packets in this box to make it cost effective.
Does the job in minutes
I bought for my glass kettle to keep it clean. I place in there and leave for a few minutes and it’s comes up brand new every time. I don’t even have to scrub anything, simply leave and rinse throughly. Keeps my kettle looking gleaming.

For 1 I did work but I had to use all 3 packs that comes in the box just to clean the kettle but I will get rid of most of the limescale, also PUT IT IN THE SICK WHEN DOING IT as it will bubble a lot if you have prepared a full kettle and overflow.

It’s very easy to use, just cut off the top, 3/4 fill my kettle and put a tea towel in the sink when the kettle is boiled transfer to sink pour in the OUST slowly pop the lid back on the kettle and leave for min 10 minutes, if it’s not perfect pop kettle back on until boiling and transfer back to sink on top of tea towel for another 10 minutes, do this every 2 weeks for me as I live in a very hard water area. Great for irons and shower heads.
Great for cleaning kettles
I ordered this as I had a lot of build up of limescale in my kettle. Was going to buy a new one but thought I’d try this first. And am so glad I did. Kettle now lovely and clean. Very easy to use. Will definitely be ordering this again very soon. Arrived within days.

Great but be careful
I like using this product for tough limescale in my kettle and on my shower head. Unfortunately my kettle seems to be leaking and limescale is now an issue on the OUTSIDE of my kettle. I am unsure as to where the issue exactly lies but this only happened after using these sachets. I followed the directions exactly and didn’t use it for longer than you should. Great for tough limescale in shower heads but perhaps too tough on kettles??? Be careful how many times you use it on a product.

Well known brand that never fails. The only thing with this is buying it at the right price as it can often be quite expensive. But it is a product that’s hard to beat.
Amazing stuff
Works a treat! I tried the old vinegar and bicarb trick before buying this but that never worked out for me. This however cleaned most of my kettle with one sachet. I repeated the process with a second sachet and it now looks alnost brand new!
Excellent for hard water areas
These sachets are excellent. We have moved to a very hard water area. I have to descale our kettle weekly to ensure it remains in excellent condition.
Instructions are easy to follow and the packaging is easy to tear open.
These work extremely well and continue to use regularly. I have now started to use them on my steamer and coffee machine too. Excellent price, easy to use and actually work
Great limescale remove
Purchased whilst on offer for 3 pack and arrived quickly as expected. Not used this batch yet, but now have a coffee machine so will come in handy when the de-scaler light comes on, plus been awhile since the kettle was done and don’t think Iron’s ever been done, damn should have bought 2×3 packs.

It works with minor flaws
I use this to descale my kettle every 2 months. It is easy to use, just follow few simple steps on the instructions, it doesn’t leave any smell afterwards and it is value for money. The only pitfalls is that you can’t fill the kettle full during descale process, or the water will spill, which mean this leave the top part of the kettle unable to be descaled at the same time. Otherwise it will be given 5 stars.

Managed to remove years of limescale buildup inside the kettle.
After two treatments, most had been cleaned away, apart from a small area of concrete-like deposit around the element.
Kettle seems to be much more efficient and boils noticeably more quickly.
Process has to be repeated regularly, so will be moving to the better value 500ml bottles.

My kettle was in desperate need of a descale so I used two sachets initially, and now just use one a month (hard water area), so have more than a years worth! Keeps the kettle sparkling inside, you just have to ignore the smell of it, which goes away after you’ve rinsed it.

Excellent product to remove limescales. I have been trying a number of products for removing limescales in kettles. Though you may find a few others this one did the trick in just 1 sachet. Very clean inside. Would strongly recommend the product.

Wonderful product but may cause family feuds
This product made my kettle super sparkly. I did get too excited while using it and knocked the lid off my kettle, rendering it useless. But at least it was clean. My mother in law saw it when she got home and immediately blamed me, OF COURSE. It was my fault though. I said her husband was the culprit but he was too embarrassed to admit it so we shouldn’t mention it – to save him from the shadows of shame. I don’t think she believed me. But it’s in their hands now.

Ok, a simple product.... but I keep,coming back to these.
Living in a hard water area, descaling is a frequent routine in this houdsehold. There are a lot of products on the market – and I have tried most of them. Oust is probably a brand with pretty standard chemical mix. But, it works. It’s as good as anything I have used but better value. So, this is my ‘go-to’ descaler. I know, lets not get too excited about descaler, but, this is reasonably priced, I’m very happy with the performance and I buy these for home and the office. Hope that helps.

Best descaler for very hard water! This is fast and easy to use comes with 3 sachets inside 1 box so you get 3 uses from this. We have extremely hard water and use only 1 sachet for the kettle and works perfectly every time. Once you see build up in the kettle just use this i leave it in the kettle for longer then 10 minutes as it says, just to make sure! Always stock up on these.

I live in a hard water area so need to descale my kettle at least once a month & this always works very well. Very easy instructions to follow. As a precaution I reboil & rinse the kettle at least 3/4 times afterwards instead of the recommended twice. It is cheaper on Amazon than in the supermarket but have to buy a minimum of 2 packs but as I use regularly this is not a problem. Would recommend.

Purchased this when I realised the bottom of my very expensive kettle looked awful, covered in limescale. Tried to clean it but nothing worked. Lots of tips on google but the one word that kept coming up was Oust. Purchased this to try it out and did the job perfect. Had to leave the tablets in the boiled water for 20 minutes before all the limescale and residue had disappeared. I also booked the kettle several times but be cautious as if you boil to much then the whole contents rises out of the spout (managed to get some on the ceiling).

This liquid descaler is much easier to use and clear afterwards than the powder. Efficient and effective.
Does the job and is cheap
Does the job. A key point to note – I had previously used a different type of descaler which (the pouch) had to be dumped in the kettle with hot water and left alone to do its job. With this model, you have to open the pouch and pour the liquid into the kettle containing boiling water. When doing so, remember to keep the kettle in the sink and you only fill it half way up as the moment the liquid is poured, you will have water bubbling and raising up to the top.

This descaler works wonders on kettles, irons and shower heads, those are the items I have used it on to date. It is quick and removes all that nasty scaling in one dose, my kettle was particularly furred up so that was quite a feat. No lasting smell which can sometimes happen with other products. Would recommend.

This is by far the best descaler I have used. Works like a charm for my kettle and steel flask.

I do clean my kettle regularly so can’t say my kettle was to bad. But this product was excellent the inside of the kettle looked like new. It does say if kettle if really scaled you can use two sachet. Very easy and very quick to use. Will definitely buy again.

Does the job
With one home worker and no less than three different coffee machines and a kettle we use these quite a lot. Follow the makers’ instructions for the machines and use these regularly you get no nasty shocks at the bottom of the cup. Thoroughly recommend

Works great in the kettle. I live in a hard water area and use a couple of sachets every ten weeks or so. Dissolves limescale and leaves the kettle looking new. Smells a little of vinegar, but is not overpowering.
