Great suction, good spray. Large bottles. Works well. Only note is the weight of the machine, it’s quite heavy for a spot cleaner.
It does a very good job at what it’s meant to, I use it to make old sofas look like new. My only problem is that you can’t use it for smaller crevices as it only has the one massive head.
Plus: very effective and straightforward to use once the machine is filled. The clean water tank is tricky, as it doesn’t sit on a base when being filled
Omg love I had brought other big name make before but this is far the best. So easy to use. I’ve used in the house and taken down my static caravan and used there. Do know how I did buy one before
A great spot cleaner, easy to use with a little practice. Excellent for use on stairs and will even work upside down on car deck heads. Don’t let it over fill as it will flood itself and spill dirty water. Can even be used for larger areas but it is a lot slower and harder work than the larger pedestrian operated machines. Overall I love this machine.

Bought this to clear up pet accidents, it is much more pleasant to use than hand scrubbing or using smaller hand held carpet spot cleaners. Good suction leaves carpet with less retained water, drying quickly.
I just moved into a rental and the carpet was disgusting. Couldn’t have new carpet down until after Christmas so I thought I’d try this out to help it smell a bit better. I am SHOCKED! This is brilliant little machine. I bought for my elderly aunt’s home, as she occasionally spills drinks and drops food, amongst other things. I have used this for cleaning her chair and around her chair, and it does what it says in the box! In addition, it is compact and easy to store. Would definitely recommend!

Loved this product. Used to clean the stairs and landing which it did with ease.
Liked the powerful suction and motorised brush plus can be switched off if require, nice option . If had a complaint be nice if pipe was longer but overall happy .
I found it very easy to use- I have pretty bad carpal tunnel in both wrists so I was a bit worried, but it didn’t create a huge issue. I did have to switch hands frequently when one wrist started to get fatigued, but didn’t have any lasting issues after cleaning 2 medium rugs, one large rug and a sofa. If you’ve particularly weak arm muscles you may want to try the upright machine instead or get a friend to do it for you!
My rugs were all bought new in December 2020, so they’ve only had 9 months of use, mainly in lockdown, so only I’ve been walking over them in socked feet. Any rare guests have been made to take shoes off. The picture shows the waste water from the single large area rug, which has never so much as seen an outdoor shoe and is vacuumed daily, and it’s still surprisingly dirty!
The small rugs took perhaps 10-20 mins and the large maybe 30-45. They took around 30 minutes to be dry enough to walk across without getting soaked feet, and about 3 hours to dry completely with the windows open. The sofa took about half an hour and took maybe six hours to dry completely. The suction is very powerful, but my sofa surface is pitted which made it hard for the unit to get a seal to suction the water out completely.
My only slight quibble is with the spray which shoots slightly wide of the carpet so you have to aim it to avoid getting a puddle of cleaner on the floor! It also drips infrequently. And as another review mentioned, you have to have everything ready to go to fill the unit from a protruding tap and add the solution to it because it doesn’t have a flat top so you have to hold it in position. I saw a question about how to remove the vacuum front for cleaning, and it does tend to get dirt and hairs lodged in it I noticed- it’s a clear plastic front so you can see all the water being sucked out (and when there’s no more liquid to suction) but it does look dirty after a while. I found just running a little tap water in to it and then swishing it around and pouring it back out cleaned this part very well.
Oh and one last small gripe- the instructions say the waste tank is designed for you to fit your hand inside to give it a good clean. I have fairly small hands and it was still a slightly painful scrape getting it in, so I don’t recommend this unless you have child sized hands to be honest!
Cable and hose wrap neatly and the unit stores very compactly for small spaces.
Overall very happy with this little thing and my lovely clean carpets!
Great tool for cleaning the sofa, car carpets and seats. Also removed red wine stain from 1 month ago and cleans up pet sick marks.
It’s a bit trickier doing the car carpets as the head of the device is quite big. If they did interchangeable heads it would be even better.
Really effective carpet cleaner for small areas. Larger carpets would take time and effort – it is a hands and knees job. But it would do it well.
I spent a lot of time reading up about spot cleaners. It came down to the Rug Doctor and the Bissel.

Very effective for small-mid sized cleaning. Vacuum more than powerful enough and the agitator does a good job of getting into thicker pile. We previously had an upright carpet cleaner but this is far less of a faff to operate. Highly recommended.

Easy to use once you get the hang of it. Water takes a little while to come through when you first use it. Great suction, really gets dirt out. Pipe could do with being a little longer. Great for upholstery.

Good for use in upholstery but I did find when taking the container for used water out, that there was spillage each time
Does a great job. Only gripe was that on first use you need to hold the handset trigger for almost two minutes for the water to come through but nowhere was this stated – Rug Doctor should amend the instructions to say this. We only knew this from a youtube demo.

I have naughty dachshunds who don’t like going outside in the rain so always having accidents. I rented the big one did all my carpets and this little one has been a god send as it’s 2 mins to get set up to clean up before it soaks in. Best money I’ve spent on my dogs lol x

Very good product, cleans really well. leaves things a bit wetter than I’d like, which means drying time of furniture is slow . Only big issue really is the clean water tank needs to be held upside down when filling and while you try to add detergent (this is a bit fiddly with 1 hand) as the rounded top wont allow it it to be put on a flat surface, However, the pros do outweigh the cons of this little machine.
