After looking at the cordless models which generally have a run time of 30 minutes I decided to purchase the corded rug doctor to give me enough time to clean stair carpet which takes about 2 hours. Well I’ve used it and was pleased with the results, the motorised brush is brilliant and the suction is as good as my upright Vax cleaner attachment, well worth the price. The machine is well made and sits on a stair quite easily but because it’s a spot cleaner it holds about 1.5 litres of clean water which depletes quite quickly.

Iv used the full sized version of the Rug doctor and I would say that this is on a par with that. The powerd brush head works well. Only down side is that the hoze could be longer but otherwise a very good machine.

Fantastic we brought this for our German Shepherd Bitch as she has DM and sometimes has Accidents on the carpet would not be without it and so easy to store being small and compact but it has an amazing suction you would not be disappointed

I hate carpet cleaners you hire, the pole is to long the adjustment heads are a nightmare .. this however is just simple and effective it does what it should and is super easy to use

I like to get down old school style on my knees and this allows you to just sit on the floor however you please whilst spraying brushing and then sucking up the water I have bad arthritis and my hands usually give up the ghost I’ve done 3 rooms not broken a sweat once and the carpets are lovely and clean.
It isn’t the same as a big carpet vacuum but it has so much power and is so easy to change and refill without the usual mess and again quick I just love it..it isn’t a mission it’s just quick and easy ideal for the car to
Ok I only have a small 2 up 2 down but if you have a bigger home get the big rug doctor and this as it’s just able to get where the big ones don’t get to the same

I got my machine nearly a year ago .I have an elderly dog who refuses to go out in the rain,couldn’t manage without my Rug Doctor.

Another ‘reviewer’ has said “using this machine is not for the faint hearted”. I agree. It’s down-on-ya-knees and get-stuck-in.
I always knew that would be the case as I’ve had connections with professional carpet cleaners in the past and they too had to ‘sweat-it-out’, so I was prepared. As I’m age 75 I paced myself taking regular breaks to rest and towel myself down .
Having seen the results of the professional guys I was most impressed with this little wizard. It was amazing. Although my carpet didn’t look particularly dirty, this wizard drew out some yuck, believe me (see photo).
BUT !! 90% into my first time use, the machine lost its suction. I followed the the user manual’s ‘Trouble Shooting’ suggestions but to no avail.
I’m just hoping Rug Doctors guarantee parallels their product. I’ll be back with a review rating on the outcome.
Fantastic product. Great for stairs I also did my whole bedroom carpet. Great results very good auction power. A little heavy and filling the tank is tricky.
Absolutely love this rug doctor, easy to use and cleans really well. One full application of water and shampoo cleaned a whole sofa without stopping to refill it.
I would highly recommend this to clean suites and stair carpet.

Also be sure to follow their advice in cleaning it and leaving running for a while after using, so it can dry itself out.
Love this machine. I’m getting round to do the whole house. But only done the landing so far. We clean alot in the house. And I was amazed at the dirt that came out.

Used this today , I was shocked ….and I mean shocked ….one swipe all the dirt and crap came out the rugs and sofa ……. I’m soooooo in love with it . Such a fantastic purchase .
This is great for spot cleaning, very quick and easy to get out and use and gives good results.
We wish we’d bought it sooner. It’s worth every penny. We use it with the Rug Doctor Pet formula detergent, and now we can clear up any accidents in a few minutes.
It’s a small, compact machine, designed for spot cleaning of small areas, which is all we need. You could use it for larger areas, but it would take time and probably be a bit awkward to use. But if you want a cleaner for smallish areas of carpet, what are you waiting for?
With dogs in the Family, the cars always seem to suffer, especially when they jump in the Sea or any River they come upon. So we bought this to clean the boot and the back seat. The amount of dirt this little Rug Doctor extracted, even after we had previously vacuumed, was amazing and they seats were dry in 30 minutes. Highly recommended.
Easy to use. Note that it is a spot cleaner and not for whole carpets. It works really well and took most of marks out of my carpet, bar one deep grease stain which will need another go.
Easy to clean, easy to use for small areas. If you need to clean stairs this is ideal. I bought it to clean some rugs, but I wish I had bought the upright model as this is really most suitable for cleaning relatively small areas of carpet. Still a great product, though.

Love this little cleaner, far better than the other one I had by another manufacturer. This one has far better suction and cleans even tough stains in one sweep
A couple of tips when using. #1 Make sure you use only the designated solution and NOT the standard Rug Doctor carpet cleaner. #2 Just apply pressure to the front of the head whilst using on carpet pile so that it gets a good suction. That’s it! This is a brilliant machine and I have 100% confidence in not only using it but recommending it.

its so cool but wont get rid of my older stains, if i do a spileage in beginning of week i cant wait till wknd to clean which is awkward if it’s a matrass or chair as its wet for a while and then unusable.
Suggest users follow the instructions detailed in CLEAN WATER TANK for refilling, not as described in the REFILL THE CLEAN WATER/SOLUTION TANK.
The information that the Wide Opening Lid was designed to allow a hand to fir inside must have had a female or very small male in mind. I am a six foot male and my hand definitely doesn’t fit inside.
Apart from the above comments the machine worked perfectly. I have used it as a Spot Cleaner and a small room full carpet cleaner using RugDoctor carpet solution.

This machine does what it says on the box.having a large family of cats, the spot cleaner cleans the carpet really well. I was impressed how easy it was to use.
Use it when valeting cars. It’s amazing how much dirt this, along with the cleaner, gets out. Leaves carpets slightly damp. Strong suction. Used at home to clean up heavily trodden areas. Very happy with the purchase.
First unit supplied had a fault, but replacement supplied very quickly.

I’m amazed, considering this is a domestic use appliance. If you need to thoroughly clean rugs, small carpets and stairs you need this thing in your life. I didn’t think the stairs were that dirty but the tank on the machine proved otherwise.
It can be hard work on the wrists and arms but it does an amazing job spot cleaning pet pee puddles, has saved our carpet and kept the house smelling nice
Works well – though bottles are a little fiddly to fill / empty / clean. Hasn’t quite removed the primary stains / dirt on first pass, but I will try again, once I have more detergent.

I bought this to spot clean doggie accidents. Today was the first time I’ve used it! Our aging dog was sick. It is truly amazing. Not only has it cleaned my carpet I was so impressed I went on and cleaned the fronts of two settees. Wish I’d replaced my large, upright carpet shampoo-er ages ago. This is so easy to use, to clean and it takes up so little space. Very impressed.
Very, very pleased with the machine, bought it to clean the stair carpet and having two dogs, it comes in handy this weather to remove muddy paw marks on the other carpets,if they get past us wiping their feet.

Excellent spot cleaner. We have a Westie who often causes dirty patches here and then on my carpet. The Rug Doctor cleans them very effectively. Obviously this doesn’t clean large areas of carpet, but for spot cleaning I would highly recommend.
Great bit of kit if you have animals in the house, cleans small patches of carpet wonderfully. Will be trying it on the car seats as soon as the weather improves!
Nicely designed tool; may not be quite as capable as the full sized R-D machines but easier to repeat stubborn spots or areas.
It is easy to carry around, easy to fill and empty and doesn’t leave the carpets too wet either. I’ve used it on puppy accident marks that had been washed before but never really disappeared. This baby made tidy work of them though and left my (pale beige) carpets looking like nothing had ever happened. Result!
Next I tackled the stairs … used by four people, me and my three sons, plus an occasional mountain bike taken up to a bedroom for maintenance. As well as the usual traffic marks, there were also small spots where the oily bike chain had caught the edge of the stair. No problem for the Doctor of Rugs though … he magicked them away in a flash. Brilliant! I thoroughly recommend this machine to everyone and anyone.
Yes, it’s not designed for large areas, but I plan to do all my carpeted rooms in sections over time. No need to hire and schlep a full sized machine from and to the shops again any more … hurray!

Bit small for anything other than spills (stating the obvious) however I have a really small amount of carpet so I thought i’d chance it. I definitely felt it the next day! That’s not to say it cant be done but its very time consuming and a lot of muscle power, so if you want this for whole carpeted areas, I’d strongly advise you get an upright.

While this is designed for spots, I patiently use this on my stairs. It can take a while to do and is extremely loud, but does a great job of making the carpet look brand new.
Brilliant for using on the little accidents my puppy is currently having whilst potty training. Now I don’t have to worry so much! The fact that it folds away as small as it does makes it’s easy to store. Very pleased

PErfect for the small spills and dog mess we occasionally have. I went over some old stains and it brought the carpet up beautifully. Wiosh I had bought this from the start instead of dropping 300 on a full size carpet cleaner that is a hassle to drag around when cleaning up a small accident.
This is a beautiful little machine which provides the same service as the larger appliance. It is easy to operate and has freshened up my carpets where my dogs had little toiletry accidents and also cleaned up my suite after the parrots throw fruit on it. very good but it is only a little brush you are buying. mistakenly I thought it was a mini rug doctor with a narrower track when I saw the two handles ( I presumed one for carrying and one for pushing) but no they both seem to be for carrying or wheeling – strange. Anyway its excellent on a stain but really takes a lot of effort if you want to clean any real area.
i have a dog and our hallway carpet was looking very drab – looks brilliant now. have also used it on the stairs carpet and interior of my car. Very happy with this purchase.
