As a “Newbie” to pressure cooking, I found the a very solid and reliable cooker. We love cooking here at home so regard the as an addition to our kitchen for long cook dishes. I have found that I’ve had to alter my cooking ways somewhat as of course once up to pressure you can’t really open and add different veg at different times but I’ve found ways to negotiate that by part pressure cooking things which take longer then swapping to a cooking pot to add other elements! Altogether a very useful and speedy way to cook !
This replaces my old one of the same make after twenty years loyal service and it’s just as good. I use it for for all stove top cooking except the fry up. I love making homemade healthy, delicious soups and these can all be done after some gentle sweating of vegetables in ten minutes. Also classic meat and two veg meals in about the same time with all the goodness maintained so what’s not to like? Instant pots may have more functions but they don’t, in my opinion work as well as the single function product and they’re infinitely easier to use and perfectly safe. From this I think you’ll believe that I love this piece of equipment. Oh , and I also believe that you get the same depth of flavour from this in twenty minutes than you get in six hours from a slow cooker. Try it and see.

Good quality and works fine
I give it 4.5 stars, the reason for not giving 5 is because of the weight, it is just too heavy.
All the rest is good, it has a good build quality, works perfectly, and it is easy to clean.
My suggestion is to buy a smaller size if you are not going to cook for a family of 6 or more people.

Going well after 6 months
Over 6 months using this pressure cooker and no issues. Cleans easy and has not discoloured, very happy so far. Only hope I won’t be dis-satisfied if I ever have to get replacement parts from Tefal who use to over charge.

Excellent produc
I used to have a pressure cookers many years ago when the children were small and it was such a time saver. When I could no longer get spares for it we went back to using ordinary saucepans, now many years later I have purchased this pressure cooker and it is amazing, easy to use and very quiet. Would highly recommend.

Cooks quickly
I recently started to eat more pulses, legumes and whole grains so I was looking for a pressure cooker to reduce my cooking time. After some research I decided to go with stovetop pressure cooker as most reviews confirmed cooking time was a lot less comparing instant pot which was my other candidate. The reason I decided to pick this one was:

I have induction cooker and I soak all pulses, whole grains etc. I can cook 250g brown rice in 11minutes if I add boiling water which by the way one of the best tips I have learned whilst I was doing my research. 450g beans in 20 minutes filled with cold water and releasing pressure only takes couple of minutes so your beans are ready to eat in 20-25 minutes.
I also cooked some green lentils and they were ready to eat in 17 minutes. I am sure cooking times will differ a little bit depends on how long you are soaking them, where you live etc.
I am very happy with my pressure cooker. No overflowing pots, long cooking times, higher energy bills.
It is so easy to use and clean and comes with a useful manual.
Thank you Tefal for making my cooking time much more fun.

This product has a very easy to use pressure valve so much safer than my old one very good lid locking mechanism and easy to release pressure. This is a very good quality pressure cooker and easy to clean. My main use is making stews, casaroles that usually take hours can be done in about 30-40 mins, soups that use pulses take only 20-30 mins and that’s with no soaking. It also gives a saving on fuel costs with it being so fast and the food tastes great. Would definitely recommend .

Definitely worth the money! I’m Very happy with this and see it as an investment, as i am using it for nearly everything I am cooking these days. The safety lock puts me at ease as it is almost physically impossible to open the lid if not enough steam has gone out. This way, I know with 100% certainty that its not gonna blow up if I try to open it too soon.

Bought this updated stainless steel Tefal pressure cooker to replace a +20-year old aluminium version, which did not work on our induction hob. Gone is the loose weight, which you had to manually adjust according to the required cooking pressure, and often you could never find it when you needed it! Fantastic price too!

Great product and very easy to use. Good for two/three people cooking. If you want to cook once and make large quantities (say 8 pieces of chicken) you might want to consider a bigger size

I love this pressure cooke
It’s a very easy to use! I find the handle very practical and it feels secure to cook. I can cook in 20-25 minutes even beans, chickpeas, beef and many more.

Lots of safety features on this pressure cooker, its definitely not my moms old one that we were all afraid would blow up one day.
