Very pleased I wanted a strimmer without all the hassle of the nylon cord this does it when the blades do come of it’s very easy to put the same one back on or put on a new one. Very light and easy to use

The product served me well until an accident damaged the base plate, I contacted the company through Amazon and with no fuss no hassle, just great customer service , they had a replacement out to me within three days. You cannot better that , THANK YOU VERY MUCH INDEED.

You get what you pay for but in this case you get more. It’s not very powerful but still with a bit of patience and endurance it will cut through the thickest grass, nettles, doc leaves even when wet. The battery life is about half an hour of heavy duty work. Having the second battery is very handy! I’m left handed so the position of the start button which you have to keep pressed is very awkward but I’m getting used to using it right handed. Also the plastic blade (30 pack supplied) sometimes flies off the little clip that holds it in while in use. I do recommend it but not for speedy heavy work.

I chose this unit over other brands, (including a Bosch!) for the price as the reviews were mainly positive. So far I think I’ve made a good choice!

Setting it up for cutting/edging is very easy and the extending shaft to adjust the ‘business end’ to your comfort in operating it is also simple. Some reviewers thought the supplied pack of ‘blades’ are too flimsy and it needs heavier duty ones, but I’ve found them to be perfectly durable. If you’re careful you can easily make the blade last the session and start the next session with a new one. Battery life is also excellent and supplying 2 batteries with the unit means I don’t have to wait until one has recharged before finishing the job. The only niggle I would have is that the metal ‘flower protector’ slides a little too easily and if you bump it too hard as you’re moving along so you have to stop a little too often to re-adjust it back to the same level as the edge of the blade.

Apart from that, a good buy overall.

Excellent product. 30 blades. Charger and 2 batteries. Got 40 minutes run time from one battery. Batteries take one hour to recharge.
Easy to assemble. Telescopic shift. Safety trigger. Adjustable head angle
Cuts through Dock leaves and other weeds easily. Highly recommended.

This was a huge improvement on my previous Bosch strimmer. The follow up advice and information on line was personal, helpful, speedy and first rate.

I cannot recommend this machine too highly. It simply does the job and, with two batteries, does it for much longer than other machines.

Assembly was straight forward, though I think the figures should be interspersed within the instructions,I have to admit I used the figures to assemble and found the instructions further on in the instruction manual. It confirmed I had assembled it correctly!
The securing screw that locks the guard in place was eventually found loose in the box and appeared from under one of the flaps. It might be worth securing it with a bit of sticky tape in the hole of the guard.
I was pleasantly surprised how long the battery lasted. It took about 3 hours to recharge whilst carrying on with the second battery. Both lasted about 40 mins.
    Very pleased so far.

Found it a little difficult to get the angle of use right for me but think that is probably more about the operator than the machine. It cleans my wet room floor beautifully, which has rough outdoor tiles on. I have not tried it on the drive/patio yet.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersApart from slight difficulty in securing the plastic guard, this was easy to assemble and use. Batteries both charged very quickly, as evidently already almost fully charged, and more than adequate to cope with the grass and weeds which needed cutting. The extra battery is a bonus, but probably not needed for the relatively small tasks for which I will use it. The plastic blades are much better than the cord used in older strimmers. I ordered extra replacement blades which did not arrive, but Futura Direct responded immediately, so clearly give excellent customer service. Very pleased.

Really happy with purchase. lightweight, and easy to assemble.

Purchased as a used/good so was expecting some wear and tear, we was actually surprised and appears as a new product.

Battery life is good but found i had to use both as i had a large area to cover.

*guard cover clip was damaged, contacted seller who is happy to replenish

I bought this for a small irregularly shaped lawn which is difficult to get power to. It’s great doesn’t give me backache and so can cut the lawn on one battery – but there’s a second one to have on charge anyway.

Terratek 20V Cordless Strimmer works well. Very pleased. I followed a tip from a previous purchaser who had left a review — he found the cutting blades supplied with the machine to be a little flimsy, and he purchased (from Amazon) some sturdier blades. These blades fit the machine and are more rugged. I purchased a packet of 50 of those blades, which should last me some time. (ToPicks Grass Trimmer Gardening Tool Cutter Replacement — 50 pcs, Red)

Assembling the strimmer was fairly easy, although the supplied instruction manual is not at all easy to follow. The machine is easy enough to assemble just using common sense. The only tricky bit is fitting the plastic guard, which requires a screw to be inserted (to be found in the packet containing spare blades) once the hole in the body of the machine and the hole in the blade guard have been lined up. Everything else is straightforward.

I found performance to be good. There seems to be plenty of power from the 20-volt battery, and if care is taken and you keep the blade clear of stones etc, the wear on the blade is not huge.
I am happy with the purchase.

    No cables, no restriction
Being supplied with 2 batteries gives you plenty of scope and time to do the job.
The blades are tough and long lasting. As always if you hit something very solid they will wear out quicker. Easy to change the blade , no issues with a spool!!
Light and compact with a telescopic handle. I am over 6 feet tall and find it comfortable to use.
    So far very, very good.

Great product, so far, easy to operate, good height with adjustments, easily changed to cut lawn edges. Blades seem strong enough and don’t just fly off like others i have tried. The suggested replacement blades, cheaper and not original did not even fit. Good though that Amazon gave refund on return. I have already ordered extra blade holder as first one broke when i hit a wire fence, so my fault. Great parts are easily available on line so one happy shopper here.

The Terratek 20V Cordless Strimmer lived up to its advertising and I’m more than pleased with it. An added benefit is the two batteries that came with it. A great little machine 10/10.

This strummer came recommended by a friend. I had been on the search but wasn’t sure which to purchase. It was a relief that another lady gardener was able to guide. This strimmer has more than adequate battery power, (2), the handles/grips are excellent size and adjustable as is the shaft length. What was appealing was the grass is trimmed by an easily replaceable plastic blade. No faffing around with wire etc. There is a flower protective device, ideal when getting too close to precious blooms. Highly recommended. The strimmer is easy to assemble and the battery will last a good 40 mins. There are two in this pack.

    This is very good,
Adjust the length of stem so it’s just above the grass to cut, the plastic circular motor attachment should not touch the ground as it will erode and break, some pics on here are when they’ve been smashed into the ground.
Just remember the red blades are doing the cutting..
    battery life is good ..

It cuts very well it’s lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. The only thing I have a problem with is trying to get a straight edge to my lawn. With the flower guard on the blade does not go deep enough to cut the grass edge. Without the flower guard it is difficult to keep a straight edge. If anyone who has one of these machines could give me some tips how to overcome this problem I would be very grateful. I would recommend this machine if this can be rectified.

I have used it in our fields to cut down nettles and bracken in early summer while the plants are still young and this strimmer works well for this purpose. It struggles a little with dense long grass. The batteries last just the right amount of time. Two of them last about the same operating length of time I can!

Nice light cordless strimmer very easy to use and set up.
Blade changes simple and quick about a second to replace.
Decent power will cut your weeds and grass where needed, battery life ok and you do get a spare battery.
Make sure you charge them fully to get the best out of the machine.
I know I will never use a cord strimmer again
Overall I give 8 out of ten would like to have seen it with a double blade head not single for a bit more cutting power for heavier grass

Having used a variety of srimmers over the years, electric and 2 stroke, all of whicch were too heavy for my wife to use, I was pleasantly surprised how versatlie, light and efficient this machine is. The 2 batteries ensure that you will have enough run time to strim most areas of the garden with no cord to trip up over or 2 stroke mixture to make up.

I had a Flymo lawn strimmer for several years and got absolutely fed up with the spool line breaking !!!!!!! So i investigated the cordless blade cutting strimmers. Spent a lot of time on this but eventually came up with the Terratek model and it appeared to tick all the boxes. Today I used it for the first time and found that the few items to assemble were easy. The strimmer worked well on the flat areas of my lawn but when it came to the edges it could have done with a small wheel to help run up the edges !!!!!!?????? Nevertheless I was delighted that having cut two fairly large lawns it never broke a blade ! What a time saver ! Definitely recommend this model for light weight and efficiency. The two batteries are a real bonus.

The following week the blade holder disc hut a stone and broke I contacted the company who told me that they did not sell the broken part.
However the very same company do sell the part on ebay !

Delivered quickly, easy to put together. Did about 25 minutes of continuous strimming and battery still going strong, with another in reserve. Neighbours got strimmer envy and asked where I bought it from. Its lightweight and well balanced and the blades are so easy to change. I hit a rock and snapped a blade and just clipped another on. Downside: The flower guard as they call it. I’ve still not yet fathomed how to attach it to the machine but to be honest don’t think I need it, but clearer instructions would be appreciated.

It seems from other reviews that people either love or hate their strimmer. Although we received ours earlier today this machine has been put through its paces. It was easy to set up, lightweight but nicely designed and workmanlike. It even came with a spare blade mounting plate that I guess distorts for some people. Love this machine, durability is to be seen but the 2 year guarantee brings piece of mind. We’re very satisfied.

Bought for my wife as she has bad hands and needed something light, this is perfect!…..battery life seems fine but get plenty of the blades as you will break them!……and there’s no little screw to hold the black guard thing on so find one yourself!….over all it’s a useful bit of kit that does the job for not a huge sum of money, I’d say yes, get one if you have to get a light weight one…….it’s good!

This strimmer is the best I’ve ever owned. Not too heavy and powerful enough for everyday strimming jobs. The battery lasts well as do the blades, it’s such a pleasure to quickly change a blade when needed rather than mess about with spools and wire.

Had a battery strimmer many years ago which was a bit naff. They have come along way and so now the battery life is plenty for the average garden and a second battery is supplied to keep you going for larger gardens. Light weight easy to use. Does get through the plastic blades though so order plenty of spares.

I was unsure about using blades rather than string, but I was reassured when I cut my lawn. It was light and easy to use and the blades a quite resilient. What is noticeable with the power of the electric motor is that it does lose momentum in thick grass. So, you simply need to progress a little more slowly. Overall I am very pleased and having two power packs is of great benefit.

    The design could be improved.
The cutter shield collects grass on its inner surface which is difficult to temove. The best way is to wash it in a bucket of water which means that it has to be removed by unscrewing a self-tapping crosshead screw which is screwed into the plastic motor housing. How many times this can be done is debatable so maybe it is best just to leave the grass to build up. A quick release catch would help.
The strimmer is difficult to use for edging. It needs a wheel.

I wasn’t sure what to expect as all my previous strimmer’s have been useless with nylon wire breaking every 5 mins, so I haven’t owned one for a while, however, as my hedge was getting out of hand I took the plunge. This one comes with blades not wire and i am impressed, I completed most of my hedge in about 15 mins breaking 3 blades. This hedge as all sorts in from stinging nettles, grass, plants, roots and tree stumps and the strimmer dealt with them well. I may invest in stronger blades as another user recommended for my hedge but perfect for grass strimming as is.

    Great produc

Plus 2 year guarantee if problems .

My previous strimmer died, and this seemed a cheaper alternative. It is light, easy to use, and comes with a spare battery which is good given the frustration of getting half the job done and the battery dies on you. My only niggle is the assembly instructions or lack of them + the missing screw. So fitting the blade guard was a nightmare. Was it a push fit? Clearly not after much pushing and getting the clips in place. Did it need the casing screw released and then tightened to hold it? No, the casing just fell off. Finally I realised there was a screw missing. I found a replacement in my toolbox and after some trial and error got the whole thing fixed- but it took me the best part of an hour to do so.

The instructions that come with the strimmer need to be clear. You only have to fit the guard. The little screw is in with the replacement blades. The guard is then fiddly to attach but persevere. Good strimmer and much more convenient. Good battery life. Blades easy to attach & lasted a good amount of time before needed to be replaced.

This cordless strimmer is just what I needed to maintain the grassy areas around my allotment which are too small for a mower. It’s reasonably powerful, not too heavy and does the job. The battery lasted about 40 minutes which was adequate for my needs. The bonus of an extra battery and blades makes it good value for money in my opinion.
It was ordered on Wednesday and arrived the following day delivered free of charge. My husband put it together for me, which was easy for him but may have proved more of a challenge for me!

The strimmer is fine, the one observation is the strimmer cutters as they seem to shear off very easily or my grass is tougher than a tough thing… the batteries are good and last to cut my lawns which are 60’by 60′ back, front 60′ by 20′ on one charge

The unit complete with TWO batteries and charger and a supply of blades is good value. We purchased for our static caravan and it does the job perfectly. Easily able to do the surrounding garden area on one battery. It’s lightweight and so easy to use. My only downer on this (hence 4 stars) is the poorly fitting blade guard which has a tendency to drop off when strumming. The fixing arrangement is not the best. Otherwise I would on balance recommend this strummer.

My main concern is getting replacement blades- as this Strimmer uses different blades to all other Stimmers (ie: holes are 4 & 10mm dia where nearly all other Strimmer use 7 & 12 mm dia hole blades
Would be useful to know where you can get replacement blades ….!!!!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersEasy to use, love no wires to cut through, 2 batteries essential if damp or long will not get full 40 minutes but does cut through thickest of dandelions easily , no wire to pull through. Blade does job so much better and did not have to change even with a 1 cm dandelion stem. Angled head and strimmed sides quickly and easily
Not give 4 stars as instructions not clear but we same ti.e not worst I have seen. Earlier review mentioned screw for plastic guard it is located in the spare blade bag. The metal guide is nearly useless as keeps pooping out would prefer a locking pull down to hold in place and a bag to put batteries and charger in is an essential the sellers not thought off . So bag for batterries , lock down to hold metal guide in place and I would have given 5 stars. Obviously, for the money is not gonna be an industrial machine, but for what it is it’s a great wee thing. Battery lasts a good half hour in pretty heavy (for this machine) going, which i was surprised at, given us only a 1.5ah battery. It will eat the plastic blades pretty quick if you start in amongst dockans and nettles, but for light tidying up it’s great value.

The fact that it came with two batteries was a big selling point. We purchased this for doing family graves as my wife had been using shears, but was struggling with her wrists. Having read the reviews, we selected this model and haven’t been disappointed. It has coped with extremely long grass (we had to cut a path through three foot grass to get to one grave), battery life and power has been excellent and the blades have coped with everything so far. The lightness of it and adjustable handle have also helped when using it.

I never had much faith in battery tools but I got this as I was just about fed up with trying to start my old petrol strimmer. This is way easier to start of course and does light cutting, nothing heavy. Battery life is just about what you would expect. Just average, i’d reckon 20-30mins or so. Charges quite quickly though and it comes with two batteries which is nice. One annoyance is that the guard won’t stay on. It’s very, very flimsy and comes off at a touch but you can use it without it on as it’s not powerful enough it’s going to cut your leg off or anything. You need to change the blade every time you take it out as they last no time at all. Fortunately they have made this very easy to do.

Assembly instructions could be clearer – not difficult to put together once you look at parts and realize there are holes for the gard rail! What puts the product ahead of others is the inclusion of 36 spare blades – hence if/when you break a blade on first use you do not need to go hunting for a source of blades. Well done the manufacturer for including something that probably only cost them pence but makes life so much easier.

I am delighted with this product. I am fortunate to have a large garden and decided to allow the grass to grow long this year. The Terratek strimmer make short work in the grass. As it was so long, I had the go over the grass twice before I could mow it. The strimmer is lightweight and easy to handle and use. The batteries lasted around 45 minutes each but I didn’t time how long it takes for them to re-charge. I would have appreciated clearer assembly directions but everything worked out after I had given myself a break. (Maybe the heat addled my brains ) . I have used it on the border of the lawn which was also easy to do. I would strongly recommend the Terratek cordless trimmer.

It has two batteries and I used it yesterday and it was great at strimming, I did use both batteries and did over half of the allotmen.

Even though it is light weight, I am using it as the lawn mower too and I did find it quite hard going (will buy a harness I think).

The battery has a good 30 minutes or so life and there is a spare so you get plenty of time. You can also get spare parts which is useful as the rotor holding the cutting blade is plastic.

No more waiting 3 hours for a battery to charge for a scant 20 min use. The Terratek battery charges within the hour and gives just under 30 mins of use. Perfect for me. I use it for edge strimming which the strimmer handles perfectly. The blades can whip off if they hit a hard object but rarely break. I find thicker grass more of a problem and this can result in blades coming off or breaking but that’s the same with the Bosch strimmer I have. Thankfully I don’t have much rough grass so its manageable. I am overall very pleased with this product and would recommend it. It is lightweight too which helps.

Will cope with light weeds and grass but not the large thick weeds ie giant thistles etc.
Worth having for just keeping on top of things on a regular basis or for normal gardens.
A reasonable price for a reasonable product.

    Good to have 2 batteries
Each one lasts about 20 mins
Blades survived well, only damaged and changed one despite hitting wood, wire fencing and bricks a few times.
Much better than old plastic line strimmer
    So afr so good.

Took a chance on buying because never heard of this brand before but it’s done everything I wanted from a strimmer , great not having to worry about chopping a cable and the batteries last longer than I thought they would . I’ve now bought a cordless hedge trimmer from the same company

This seems to be just what I wanted. Haven’t used it yet as the rain hasn’t stopped. Think the instructions could be clearer with the written bit by the illustrations. Also seem to have a spare part ! A useful tip is the screw for the guard is in with the spare blades.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersThis is a great little trimmer. I have a petrol driven bushwhacker but getting that out, filling it and harnessing up is a chore to say the least. I look after the riverside gardens at our local pub and there are two lawns with 22 BBQ tables yet this little unit whizzes round all the lawn edges, borders, moorings and fence posts and all on one battery. I really don’t know where the power comes from, it just seems to run and run. Added to the lightness advantage it cuts well too. I have marked down the assembly as the instructions show the blade guard retaining screw as being captive in the fitting and mine was missing. It was a simple matter to find a suitable one in my man cave so fitted it with that, however when I opened the pack of spare blades what should I find but the missing screw so all that bother for nothing. Overall well impressed and would certainly recommend this item.

    Some Cutting Remarks...

I’ve had many strimmers over the years and I can honestly say this one is far superior to all the known makes I’ve previously purchased. It is vkery light and the cutting is easy – was worried about two things when I ordered one was people said the blades were inferior, but Terratek must have addressed the problem because they have been very very good and long lasting n my experience.
The second worry for me was that I had not heard of the company before – again I needn’t have worried this is the best strummer I have had and I’ve had many in my long years. Excellent product well recommended by me.

Really great little machine. Love the fact that you can rotate the head to edge. This was super for edging the lawn leading to my natural pond. However, if I tried to edge my paths the blades disintegrated after 3 or 4 minutes due to connecting with the paving slabs. Apart from that slight disappointment I’m really pleased. The batteries last about 30 minutes not 40 on a full charge but still with 2 batteries that is 60minutes of strimming.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI was tackling grass about 10 inches long on a wet lawn. It is a newly laid turf lawn which I did not want to use a lawnmower on just yet, so I decided to use the strimmer to cut the entire lawn.
Set up out of the box is easy. Some people have said there is not a screw to hold the guard on. There IS A SCREW in the bag of extra blades inside the box. Just look for it, it’s in there. I didn’t use the flower guard (weird wire thing) as it did not let me get close enough to the raised bed sleepers and I wanted a clean cut right next to them.

For what it’s worth, I strimmed right up to my raised beds and all along a wooden fence and the blade didn’t break. I did the whole lawn (tall wet grass) and edges all using 1 blade which is still fine, so I can’t understand why people are complaining about blades breaking every couple of minutes, what are they strimming? Rocks? I could hear the blade whacking against the wood but it still did not break.
It cut easily through the tall grass even using the battery right out of the box, but the battery did only last 20 minutes before I had to change it over to the other one. Both were not fully charged so I expect once fully charged they would be fine.
Its easy to use, but your arms do get a bit sore holding it (especially doing a full lawn not just edges). I perfected a kind of ‘swing side to side’ motion which seemed to help. Apparently the head swivels to allow edging but I didn’t use this function.
I do recommend getting the pack with the two batteries if you are going to be using this a lot, and the cordless function is great as you can just dot around the garden where you need to without worrying about tripping over wires or cutting through them.
Really impressed. Much better than the ‘fishing line & spool’ type strimmers which are always breaking and fiddly to deal with. 30 blades should last ages hopefully if the first cut is anything to go by.

My husband loves this strimmer now he has finally got it assembled properly.. it took him a while to put it all together but then found that the guard kept falling off. After some investigation he noticed a little screw inside the plastic cover that needed screwing in. This is the only thing that he had a problem with. As for performance and durability he is very happy with it.

I like that it is very light and easy to use. The downside is that the blades are a bit flimsy and I used 4 within the first half hour as they kept flying off. If I can purchase some stronger blades it will be great.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIt was easy to assemble and lightweight.

First time I came to use it, the guard fell off inside a minute.
Refitted and it fell off again within less than a minutes use.
Refitted again and it fell off again within less than a minutes use.
    Gave up with the guard!

After that, I got on well and it cleared a whole load of overgrown grass and weeds.
Checked the blade expecting it to look quite warn as I’d hit rocks, trees etc and it was still in good order.

I’d say its worth the money I was charged (80 at time of writing, for strimmer, spare blades, two batteries and charger)

If you want to do lots of work I would suggest something more powerful and durable though.

Golden Review Award: 135 From Our UsersThis strimmer is a good buy. The blades are abit to thin but they cut. I found it hard to buy spare blades but after doing some research i found on Amazon for spare blade and the are by far better, the blades are thicker than the one you get with the strimmer. To all other people who needs spear blade go to
Topicks strimmer blades the RED blade are the same size in dimention, you can only buy them in packs of 50/100 9.95/12.95. I am happy with these blades.

The product was delivered very promptly, and I am looking forward to using it as soon as possible. Unfortunately the weather has been very wet and so I have been unable to put the strimmer to the test. As soon as the weather conditions improve, I shall be out into the garden to use it.

Golden Review Award: 79 From Our UsersI know there is a lot of crap and often misleading feedback on Amazon these days, genuine source often unclear. Amazon should really get a grip on this as they are losing credibility. I looked in depth at an electric weighing scales item where the feedback was 100% with one writer saying it was easily absorbed and left the user with clear smooth skin… so I am very careful about what I read. This one looked genuine and I can assure you it is. One writer complained the guard keeps falling off which it will if you do not fit the screw to hold it firmly in place, which is a bit fiddly but easily doable. It is more powerful than I expected, two batteries, brilliant and expect to go through a few blades which I prefer to the auto cord which I have always had trouble with. the Blades take 5 seconds to change. In summary, a great strimmer well worth the money, buy one and some spare blades.

Strimmer arrived on time, well packaged. Husband says it’s just as described………………..light weight. Good that two batteries are part of the package as one can be on charge whilst other in use and so never a need to stop when one runs out of power.

It was so lightweight I thought that the strimmer was missing from the box that was delivered. Easy to put together. The metal safety bar takes a bit of getting use to and needs screwed in, which I didn’t realise till it kept falling off!! Should’ve read instructions
better! Anyway super light and easy to use. The blades are a new design to me but easier than the plastic sting which always seemed to snap or snag

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was attracted to this strimmer because it came with two batteries, and had the plastic blades instead of cord. So far it’s been satisfactory in use. I’d not call it lightweight, but it’s not especially heavy. A battery probably lasts about three uses of 15/20 minutes each.
The only thing I miss from my previous strimmer is the wheel that kept it the right distance from the ground when e.g. edging a lawn.

Like its light weight compared to mains electric and petrol driven machines. It is meant for light work, so don’t expect to tackle gorse and bracken without a lot of effort.
I used it to initially shorten an overgrown grass area, to lessen the load on my rotary mower. The rotary tended to get wrapped up by the long grass, especially as it was damp. It did the job with ease.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFirstly, people’s issues with this product being delivered in two boxes – really! Who cares; it’s the product we’re reviewing not the packaging fgs! Now let’s get on. Only con is that there was no screw to secure the guard. Not enough of a con to knock off a star though. Any idiot can find an appropriate screw in their house to sort that minor problem out. So, after macheting my way through the massive two pieces of packaging (rolls eyes) I found it easy to assemble – it only requires the guard to be attached after all. Instructions are easy – pictures and text (would be easier to follow if they weren’t at opposite ends of the manual). Strimming my 6in high grass was a breeze. The plastic blade is so much better than faffing around with reels of plastic spaghetti, which is a nightmare to change. I did my whole area of grass (about 40 square feet) and the blade still looked new and battery still going strong. Very pleased with my purchase – well worth the money. It’s a thumbs up from me!

I bought this on a recommendation from a friend. It came double boxed (why) but was simple to put together and use. It’s really powerful and gives you lots of flexibility with the variations of length and twisting for cutting angle. Unfortunately mine worked for 10 minutes and then died. The seller were pretty good once they realised I wasn’t stupid and could check if the battery was charged/connected etc. They sent a new base unit which is working – although it’s not done the full 10 minutes yet ;-). As they didn’t want the other one back I dismantled it and worked out that the failure was the start switch, no power going through it. As soon as I bypassed it the unit sprung into life.. it’s impossible to reassemble but I’ve got a useful bag of spares now I guess!

Arrived very quickly and no fiddly assemby as experienced with other manufacturers. Because of bad weather have only had the chance to use once but it was very easy to use, did the job well and battery lasted no problem. Was prepared to maybe change batteries but strimmed round our garden on one. It is just a normal sized garden. Blade didn’t snap which is also a good thing. One little niggle is that one light on one of the batteries doesn’t always light up but the batteries are holding their charge really well and the tidy little charger is great. Overall I think the bundle with two batteries is good value for money.

A well designed and well built strimmer. It arrives securely packaged and is very quick and easy to assemble. The two battery packs are a big “plus” as is its lightweight. Personally, I am finding it a bit harder to use than the old Flymo strimmer that it replaces, but I think with a bit of practice it will become easier. The plastic blades have a very short life if you get too close to any solid object, like a wall! But again, I think with a bit of practice it will be a very useful garden implement.

Golden Review Award: 51 From Our UsersAs one of those people who regard user instructions as Greek, I was dubious (to say the least) about putting this together myself. But I managed it within 20 minutes … without having to call in the cavalry. Yes, the manual could have been better laid out, but I still was able to do it. And I immediately went out to test it. It worked a treat. I did edges all over my garden and veggie patch. It was lightweight, balanced and did just what it was meant to do.

I am delighted, and the additional battery is something I wish other manufacturers would do.

For me, this is a great piece of kit.

Golden Review Award: 127 From Our UsersI was a bit dubious of buying a cordless strimmer, as I really wanted to avoid cables, I so hate cables. But they can be expensive. Also generally batteries cost money. I saw this strimmer with extra blades and a spare battery and thought it seems like a good deal for the price, but honestly asked myself “would I be getting my money’s worth?”

Well it arrived in two boxes, (one inside the other, bit strange), and was very easy to assemble. I did not even need to read the instructions, but they are included and worth a read.

Comes with a black baseplate, a metal guard, extra blades and the batteries and charger and instructions. The batteries were virtually fully charged so you can test it straight away. Twist up the middle to extend the handle for assembly, attach the guard and plate and attach a battery.

I was a bit nervous using it the first time, as I have never used nylon blades before. However I was very pleasantly surprised. The first battery last around 30 mins, I let the strimmer cool off and then swapped in the second battery for another round. I only used one nylon blade, but I know that wether it be cord or plastic/nylon blade, it wont tackle oversized growth. But it did a great job of clearing 80% of the front garden with no blade loss.

I was very happy with the result. The guard does definately help to keep you away from concrete and walls. I think slow and sure seems to have won out here. Overall i got virtually all the job done on one charge and 1 blade. With 30 extra blades I should be good for a while.

Only thing I would recommend is some safety glasses as the strimmer does kick up a bit of grass/debris despite the guard attachments. Additionally i would allow the srimmer to cool down between battery changes. (make some tea!).

Overall it is a great little buy and being cordless makes life so much easier, the spare battery is a bonus.

Golden Review Award: 34 From Our UsersI think this Cordless Strimmer does all the jobs in the garden much quicker and more efficient in much less time than I
can and having two batteries for it, is very handy, for when one runs low you can use the second one and get your job
done quickly and it is supplied with 30 spare blades instead of plastic cord which I found always split just as you got

This strimmer is so much easier to set up as you only have to replace blades instead of these annoying reels. The fact that an extra battery pack is supplied means that you have far more time to deal with troublesome grassy and weedy areas than normal. A very useful implement.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis strimmer is ideal weight wise. I have only used it once so far. I have had a cordless strimmer before which used the plastic cutters and this is much the same, they last quite a while unless you cut near to stone path edging then it wears them down quickly.
