Very good and well built. I have used it a few times now and I am pleased with the built quality. The handle is solid but I would have liked for it to go back a bit further, there is one slot (2 screws) to move it back along the platform a bit but this was not enough to accommodate a 2 x 4 so this is only for smaller size wood. All the accessories are good, one drill bit with a stop ring, alen keys and 2 square screwdriver bits (a short and a long) however there is no depth gauge so I arbitrary left 3 mm between the drill bit and the platform which seems to work well. The Clamping force is very good and the adjustable drill holes are very good and sturdy. There is a hole on the side to evacuate the dust and shavings which is also very handy. The platform can be screwed to a work bench or can be clamped directly onto a sheet of material which is also very good. All in all a good piece of kit for them money. have I have a Trend tools and I have been happy with them so far.
Great jig, metal construction and robust. It is easy to set up and use. Only down side is my kit has the drill collar missing a vital piece of the kit.

Fabulous tool. After struggling with the cheap 15 version I upgraded to this. Instantly increased my productivity and paid for itself within a day or two.
I’m sure the more expensive jigs have advantages, more support / features etc… but for the price of this jig, it is brilliant.
At time of writing this review the jig is on offer for a little more than 50. I can now create an item for my Etsy shop in a couple of hours, as opposed to a few days to return the same amount.
An absolute no brainer for anyone working with pocket hole joinery.
Having watched videos on how to use this I liked the idea and ease. I’m only a novice at DIY but I loved it, so easy and simple to use, did a practice on a piece of scrap wood and the screw came through slightly so just adjusted the collar and it was perfect. Very happy with my purchase.

This is 75 in screwfix so i just had to buy it for 55 and i have to say i wish i did years ago.

I saw a good friend of mine using this tool , and decided I’ll try and up my game in wood working, this tool is great easy use a real game changer for me, I have other trend tools this just completes my collection so happy with it.
The screws that come with the Trend PH Pocket Hole Jig have a square head so you have to use one of the two included screwdriver bits (one long, one short). The box said it came with a selection of screws but I checked several and all mine look the same but they work well and I managed to use them to make a hedgehog house out of pallet wood.

Firstly of all I am a complete amateur when it comes to wood work. However, when I saw this and what it claims to do I was intrigued. As soon as it arrived I tried it out straight away. I made a T joint (I think it’s called) and it was solid. This was really an experiment until I know what project to start with.
First thoughts are I’m really impressed and would recommend it.
Cracking piece of kit. I thought before I bought it would it be any good as I had bought smaller cheaper kits before. Well worth the xtra it’s true what they say you get what you pay for.

Have now used this many times and find it easy to use for making accurate and throng but joint have used it to make several face framed cabinets as well as other small projects.
Bought to build myself a log store, worked flawlessly, although I’d pick up a second bag of screws, the ones supplied don’t go very far when your pocket holing everything in sight,

It also seems that Trend have stopped manufacturing the pocket screws. Maybe thats why it was nearly 50 off when I bought it.

I am not a big diy person but at the same time I didnt want to pay a lot of money for someone to do jobs that i should be able to do myself. So glad I bought this version instead of the well known American brand. A much more reasonable price and it works perfectly with one small irritation: the two hole guides can only widen by a small amount so I need to move the workpiece for each hole. I appreciate you can only accommodate some requirements with one tool so I it is not a serious complaint. I have mounted mine to a board to support wide pieces and to clamp the tail to ensure stability, this is not something I expect the manufacturers to make and it is easy to add. I have been using it for a few weeks making kitchen cabinets and I am very pleased with the result. It is advisable to have a tool or jig holding the two pieces to be joined as the side with the holes tends to move “inwards” when screwed. Again, I made a simple jig to hold both side square while screwing and that is fine.

Very good jig, leaves clean cut holes. There is no extraction facility with this unit though which you need to extract the chippings when you are drilling the holes to keep the guide holes clear. You could use a vac to clear the waste between drilling. I have made a “T” shaped stand for my unit and fitted extraction facility and it works perfectly.
Conceptually and quality wise this is a very good product.
Sadly the same cannot be said for the drill bit supplied with the item. The very first time that the bit was inserted into the drill guide and made contact with the wood (oak) the pilot part of the bit shattered into several pieces.
I can get round the problem with the aid of a 2mm drill to finish off the pilot hole, but should I have to do this?
Otherwise an excellent piece of kit.
Finally I have a pocket hole jig that works as expected.

This is a good piece of kit, easy to use, well made and does the job it is supposed to do.
If you are thinking of buying this tool then take note, the screws included are for hardwood and not really suitable for soft wood. If you are using softwood then order some course thread screws at the same time so you can use the jig when it arrives.
Great but of kit which is solid and can be screwed down to a bench or clamped in a workbench. I’m a first time user and it did a great job!

Great idea and makes clean cut holes. Worth investing in more screws as you will soon use the small supply.

One of the best purchases I have made, love it. I havent used a Kreg and I am sure there are benefits to the Kreg. But I mainly use 18mm MDF and this has been perfect for much cheaper – why buy what you dont need?
I recently purchase this jig for a kitchen project. I have used it primarily attached to a bench but have also taken it on site for various purposes. Drills a perfectly clean hole every time and is effortless to set up. Will be using this tool a lot in the future.

Great jig. I read the negative review that says it is no good as you can’t adjust for wood depth, but ignored this as I thought I didn’t care. Now I’ve used it I can see this limitation is a bit annoying but for the price I am really happy with it. Would have spent at least twice as much to get another decent brand jig. Have used it to make a table and bench. Great purchase for a diy’er.

Bought this for a specific job. I have now used it on 6 other projects where no joinery will be seen. This is a huge time saver. I have used other screws than just the fancy trend ones and all work well.

Wichtig zu wissen: Mit dieser Trend Bohrvorrichtung lassen sich zwar Verbindungen von Brettstrken zwischen 16 mm und 38 mm herstellen, aber optimal ist die Vorrichtung fr die Verwendung von 19 mm Brettern (+/-) geeignet — nur dann befindet sich der Auslass der Bohrung in der Brettmitte.
Hier gibt es ein anderes Model von Trend (Trend PH AK Pocket Hole Jig) — Hier kann u.a. die Brettstrke (wie auch bei dem Model von K***) individuell voreingestellt werden. Somit ist der Auslass der Bohrung immer mittig im Brett — Das ist nicht ohne Sinn.
Da ich nur selten Brettstrken jenseits von 20 mm verwende, spielt diese Funktion fr mich jedoch keine Rolle und htte den Aufpreis zum erweiterten Model nicht gerechtfertigt.
Bislang habe ich meine selbstgebauten Mbelstcke (Regale, kleine Tische und einfache kleine Schrnke) mit Hilfe einer Flachdbelfrse hergestellt und fest verleimt. Das hat jedoch den Nachteil, dass ich die Mbelstcke nur montiert” transportiert werden knnen bzw. eine Demontage nicht mehr mglich ist. Meine Idee war, Mbelstcke so zu konstruieren, dass ich die einzelnen Bretter weiterhin mit Flachdbel zusammenfge aber diese nicht mehr verleime sondern mit Pocket Holes verschraube.
Die ganze Sache hat bei einem ersten Projekt sehr gut funktioniert. Durch die zustzliche Verwendung der Flachdbel ist auch sichergestellt, dass sich die Bauteile beim verschrauben nicht verschieben und somit eine einwandfreie saubere und bndige Verbindung entsteht.
Fazit: Top Produkt, einfache Handhabung und klare Kaufempfehlung
Man(n) lernt immer noch dazu. Neben den bewhrte Lamellos kann ich nun eine weitere Verbindungsmethode nutzen fr meinen Mbelbau. Mein erstes Projekt mit dieser Methode ist eine Truhe aus Eiche.

It is important when drilling the drill bit enters the hole of the jig squarely to prevent metal being cut away from the top of the jig. Draw the bit in and out a few times when drilling to clear wood dust. Remember for soft woods use a coarse screw and practise with screw lengths to get the best depth into the joining piece.

Wish id bought one years ago dont know if i would have gone to 80 but after using it it well worth it this will be used time and again. created first shelf in minutes no fussing with loos clamps just screwed it down and away.

Nice well made piece of equipment. Takes a little while to get the hang of it, but it does produce good results. You need an accurate chopsaw.

The usual good quality of a trend tool and arrived in very good time.
pocket holes aren’t the strongest or prettiest way of joining two pieces of wood but they are really fast and easy. The Trend jig is solid, all metal and very easy to mount on a worktop. Within a couple of hours of opening the box I had made a few boxes out of plywood. The only problem with my order was that there was some damage to the face clamp but amazon provided a replacement next day. Would recommend.

A note about the Trend square drive screws that come with this – you don’t have to use them, you can just use normal #6 pozi drive self tapping screws which are a lot easier to find, (plus if you lose your square drive bit you don’t have to spend 10 for another!) although the Trend ones are very good quality.
