I perhaps should’ve done a little more research before buying a new 13 inch MacBook Pro as I didn’t realise it didn’t have USB ports! Enter these two little converters which not only allow me to use my MacBook in the way I intended (mainly connecting to D-SLR camera for photograph download and manipulation), but they also come in Space Grey which matches the MacBook perfectly. I have many photos and videos on USB A flash drives which I want to view on my newly purchased Macbook which only has USB C ports. For 6 I now have 2 of the Syntech USB C to USB OTG adapters which not only do the job but also look good and seem durable.

Great product that I was optimistic to buy. 8 needed something like this for my headset that I use for school. Once I plugged it in, everything worked great. I thought it would only be for charging or data transfer. I am really happy that I decided to purchase this and it comes with two of them.

I bought another product which had a lead but this repeatedly lost connection. I thought these would be the same but they connect very well and have not lost the connection yet. Great value and you do need 2 because they are very small and easy to misplace.
Does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Only issue with it for me is that the USB-C side is a wee bit shallow, and so I have to remove my phone case if I need to use it with my phone.
Fits my MacBook Air perfectly. Based on the MacBook’s design, however, both can’t be plugged in at once. It would’ve been more useful if one of the adapters allowed me to connect an HDMI cable…because now I have two of the same adapter for no reason.

I have received my product and at first look everything seemed to be fine, but I only used one of the adapters. I have recently discovered that the second adapter DOESN’T WORK and won’t recognise anything that is plugged into it, I have tried with the first adapter and everything works fine. this is frustrating as I bought one to use at home and one for the car USB which I know can no longer do.
Arrived on time. Allowed external hard drive and USB sticks to be connected to a tablet via the USB-C power port. Data transfer was quick enough to stream video. Recommended.
I bought these as a new vehicle had USB C sockets, and all my memory sticks and phone chargers are standard USB. I was not sure of the compatibility, but at the price I thought ‘what the heck!’. The pair of converters arrived the next day (thank you Amazon) in a very neat and sturdy package. I removed them from the packing and tried them out immediately, firstly on my laptops USB C socket and then in the car. They both worked straight away with no problems. Also, the design meant that they did not stand too proud of the sockets when plugged in, so vehicle/road vibrations had no adverse affects. Well done Syntech for a thoughtful and quality product.

New laptop with docking station and it has USB C so this is a good device to allow Normsl USB plug inns to be used.
Only slight issue is that it doesnt fit with my ipad case but otherwise its easy to use and great value
I’m using this to convert a bunch of older usb-a devices to usb-c to plug into my Macbook.
So far they’ve worked with a modem, ethernet and sd card reader without issue
They have a nice positive grip on both the usb-a and usb-b sides.

On My Mac I required adapters for the ports. These work well, and are nice and small on the side and not cumbersome like the Mac branded one which used to be a pain for me.
Would recommend to anyone requiring the adapter.
Only issue is you can’t put 2 next to eachother, so one would be on the left and right of the mac, but that is a fault of the Mac design being so close and nothing to do with this product, because this is as small as it can be.

These adapters work well – this is my second purchase. I bought again so that I didn’t have to change the adapters from one USB to another. They are excellent for individual connections. My only criticism is that they are slightly too wide to connect two of them together to the two connection points on my MacBook Air.
They are great and simply effective. My new car has “C type” usb connections. My music was on old type usb sticks. Problem solved with these adaptors. Very pleased indeed.

Well impressed with the service I got from Syntech and the high quality of the product. I use it with my mobile and my laptop (gives me an extra USB port if required). The photograph shows it coupled to a 128GB Flash Drive which I use with my Huawei P20 Pro mobile.

I bought a new laptop with USB C so of course I couldn’t use my scanner with USB A so I went looking for a solution and bought this one (and another – I wanted to have a backup!). It worked brilliantly and they are so neat.
Nothing wrong with the performance of these over all, loved the compact size. Unfortunately I can’t use them next to eachother on my macbook pro. Apple’s fault really! They should space them out to allow for the width of a USB during the transition. So just a watch out if you’re looking to buy them and have a macbook. I’ve just ordered a hub instead but they also have adaptors with short cables, which would gives a bit more space.
They small, sturdy the best thing is they save having more cables around.

Perfect for what I needed, tranferred all my stuff from other laptop devices onto usb and simply plugged the adapter in to my new macbook, it instantly worked. It fits in the usb-c firmly and the usb port itself is sturdy, so it is not flimsy despite its little size. I liked how small it is compared to other adapters available as it is easy to carry around without taking up physical storage space. Not fussy that it doesn’t have 100% colour match to my macbook as I didn’t by for eastethics.
I have about 12,000 songs stored on a flash pendrive which has has the larger USB A. This adapter , which is well made, seems to work fine in my car which only accepts USB C.
I use these to connect usb flash drive to a Macbook Air via the USB-c ports. They work really well. They feel good quality and I think they will last a long time.
just what I wanted. No leads, just plug in and insert the usb. OK you can’t put two next to each other, but the compact design makes up for that.
We recently bought a MacProBook for our son and hadn’t realised you couldn’t use a normal USB stick. This adapter worked brilliantly and was very reasonably priced. Would recommend it.
They are good quality, but too wide to put side by side on a macbook pro 2019, so you can only use two slots, not 4.
Does what it says. USB C at one end and USB 3 at the other. Very handy for connecting older USB devices to laptop and very robust build. Only downside is that the size of them means that you cannot use both at once with a MacBook Air as the ports are too close to each other.
These feel really sturdy and solid in the had and I’ve tried them out with some USB 3.0 sticks and also a couple of micro sd adapters and they work brilliantly. Really impressed and fully recommended.

I have had similar adapters but those fit a bit loose and it was easy to loos them ; this adapters fit perfectly and feel sturdy and durable.
Great little piece of kit to connect usb devices to my Mac. Due to the nature of its connection you have to be mindful of scratching and potential damage to your computer.
Certainly has a very high quality appearance (Exactly as per the photo) Unfortunately it will not fit my phone with its case fitted due to it being too large to fit through the case’s cut out (Totally my fault as I should have realised this from the photo) Not a big deal but a bit of a hassle. I will probably look to buy an adaptor with a small lead attached.

I was dismayed by the way Apple has gone over entirely to USB-C ports and I hated the dangly white adapter I had to use on my new MacBookPro to make connections – now these neat little adapters which match my laptop are so much neater!
These USB-C Adapters worked straight out of the box, pluged them straight in the c-port of the Thunderbolt and connected a USB memory stick and they work fine.

It could just be a little narrower so I could fit one in each Macbook port. In their current width it is impossible to do that.

These are not of plastic construction though, they are aluminium so feel a bit more substantial.
I bought these as I’d just had a new tablet and needed to upload a CV, my laptop was dead and only had my memory stick. Fantastic product. Great accessory for my New MacBook. Lets me use my existing USB drives and accessories that have the older USB connectors with the new USB C ports. Works a treat and getting full transfer speed as promised by the vendor. Small size so won’t take up too much room in your laptop bag.

Very simple sleek set of USB-C to USB adaptors. I don’t use many USB products with my MacBook Pro so keep two of these with me at all times just incase! – Prefer them over having huge dongles sticking out of each side of the Mac. The colour compliments the Space Grey of the MacBook – only slight criticism is that it would be nice if they where made from aluminium for that extra quality feel.
All in all a solid product.
Much better than I expected for the price, even better once you register you get a lifetime warranty. But I doubt anybody uses the warranty due to the build quality and price.
Got these as a spare and were the best value and were still in the space grey colour I needed.
Works fine for using USB A accessories with my 2018 MacBook Pro with Touchbar. As others have noted, too wide to use two side-by-side in adjacent ports but this doesn’t bother me. No effect of Wi-Fi operation while in use. Highly recommended.
I liked the way that the USB-C plug sinks fully into the laptop socket, leaving the body of the adaptor pressed snugly against the edge of the laptop. You feel as though it makes the connection more rugged against accidental sideways knocks.
Sturdy, secure fit – electrically all you need for times when you don’t have access to a USB C port. Recommended.
This is a really useful product and helps with the issue of no USB sockets (God know why apple does this to us and yet we still buy the products).
Unfortunately you can’t put 2 adaptors side by side because each adaptor is too wide but you can fit an adaptor and your charger cable next to each other.

Feels pretty solid using it to convert a magnetic USB cable to USB-C for the razer phone 2 charging adapter, works with fast charge no problem. Always nervous when buying adapters I intend to use for fast charge because of the marketing propogander but if it works with mine it will probable suite most models. I have now however not tried data transfer So well see how that goes.

Arrived well packaged and both the converters work. Fits with about a 1-2mm gap on my (relatively old version) macbook – but this is not really an issue for me. Company seems positive and grateful for the purchase – they have a ‘Thank you for choosing us!’ message which is nice. The 2 year warranty is a cherry on the cake.
I’ve seen a few adaptors for converting USB-3 to USB-C and they’ve either been too bulky or poorly made. These are very small, and fit the USB connector snugly. I use mine with an external HDD and an iPhone lighting cable, and haven’t had issues with either. The construction is a solid metal outer case, and is very durable.
Excellent quality product at a great price. The Adapters are very small, made of metal, fit tightly without dangling cables and colour match my MacBook Pro in Space Grey. I only required one USB port (yet the pack contains 2). This is for another device or backup adapter rather than adding 2 USB ports (because there isn’t enough space between the 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports on my 13 inch MacBook Pro.
I love the durable, small size of this product compared to other USB to USB-C adapters. They work extremely well with my new MacBook Pro. Their small size makes them easy to have around and use.
Purchased to use with my MacBook which only has a single USB-C port and although I have a dedicated USB-C thumb drive these little adapters allow me to use any standard USB peripheral. The colour is a perfect match to Apple’s Space Grey and they are very well made, heavy and robust and standard USB devices fit perfectly into the adapter. The fact that you get two is excellent value for money.
Bought this for my 2018 Mac Book Air, works okay, but I did have to wiggle it a bit before it recognised my USB stick. Worth the price though and it’s not a deal breaker as I don’t often use USB Sticks.

This is exactly the product I was looking for with my 2018 Macbook Pro. I was shocked when I found out there was no inherent way to connect USB devices but this solution was perfect.
Personally, I prefer to keep the adapter on the side plugged into the mains as it feels exposed to being knocked on its own, but thankfully this hasn’t happened yet, and hopefully never will.
The adapter is well made and easy to use. Strongly recommended to anyone considering it.

Bought a new MacBook Pro with only usb c ports so bought this product so I could still plug in usb products. Works perfectly and looks nice and compact. Doesn’t wiggle around too much when plugged in. The grey colour is darker than the grey of the Space Grey MacBook but this isn’t an issue for me.
Since Apple is perverse enough to make a laptop with only USB C/Thunderbolt 3 connectors, these adapter are essential to be able to connect it to the outside world. Work perfectly and give USB1/2/3 compatibility. Great price too.
Fantastic little adapters which match my MacBook Pro. Half the price compared to the apple adapter and double the product and it’s a good match for the space grey colour of the MacBook. They are made from durable material and don’t add any bulk or look silly when attached to the device.
