Steaming Hot, great clean!
I used to a have a Vax steam cleaner which I loved. Unfortunately the handle snapped after 3years. I thought I’d give this one a go.
Unlike the Vax that you have to press the lever for steam the Vileda has a constant flow of hot steam even when stood still. The floor pads are held on by a triangular clip frame. If you lift the Vileda off the floor fro example over something the clip frame can come loose so the mop pad drops out. I also tend to put two pads to make it thicker as it feel like the plastic frame is just scraping around the floor.
However over all it does clean the floor well as the steam is mega hot just be careful if/when removing the pad after cleaning and wait for it to cool.
Highly recommended
Wow!!
Best steamer I’ve owned, feels solid and durable without being clunky and heavy.
Glides well and the swivel head makes getting into corners a breeze.
The cord in longer than most, huge benefit as my sockets are strangely located.
It heats up to full steam almost instantly.
Reaches a good temperature that means floors dry very quickly.
The height of the steamer is an advantage also, as it is quite tall you have a longer reach which helps you not walk across your newly clean but damp floor!
I found it really easy to put together. At 5ft 2inches tall I did find the handle a little tall. But other than that I am thrilled with this purchase. Very easy to use. Plenty of. Steam. Quick to heat up. Got into all the corners easily. Replaced my old one which was ten years old and this is far superior. No gadgets. No frills. Just simple and easy. Even with arthritis and carpal tunnel found it easy to use. The handle clicks off for storing. My kitchen floor looks pristine and the cloth looks quite black!!! My carpets look refreshed. It has a bigger tank than my old one . I will be recommending this to my friends. I got it on sale so great value too.

Quicker & easier than a two bucket & mop sessio
Bought this to replace a previous steam mop system. I find it’s been great for travertine and ceramic textured tiles also to light clean and lift carpet pile using the carpet glider attachment. Stands on its own so no propping up and falling over. I have a dog so this is a quick and effective way to remove the doggy trail of dust & mud.
Down sides- cord would be so much better if it where 1-2 metres longer so don’t have to wait to reheat after unplugging. Tricky to empty as you have to lift the entire mop to aim the filling point over the sink so best to do a trial and error to work out how much water needed for your floors so uses up all the water so no mop juggling to empty before storage.
I would recommend purchasing extra head attachements so quick changes can be made when tackling tougher, heavier stained areas ( drawstring types are good). Also, when washing the heads do not use softener as can affect absorbency
Quick & easy to use. Worth it, gets floor really clea
If you’ve never used a steam mop before (like me) you might think it isn’t doing anything but then you check the cloth & realise how much it has done. Using traditional mops or spray mops you’re use to the floor being wet and smells of products – you don’t get any of this with a steam mop so it appears as if it isn’t washing the floor but it definitely does. Overall it takes a little more prep before mopping over a spray mop, with a spray mop if already filled you just grab spray & go whereas you have to fill this, plug it in, switch it on but it heats in seconds and doesn’t leave the floor wet, so can go back into the room fairly quickly unlike spray/traditional mops. So overall this ends up quicker and gives a better clean
It is also good to quickly run over carpets with the carpet attachment to disinfect them – it doesn’t remove dirt but will antibac them.
If you miss the scented smell of “clean” then spraying the floor area with some diluted zoflora first can help but you don’t need it for cleaning or disinfecting as the steam mop alone will do this. Don’t put the diluted zoflora in the machine like others do or recommend as this can break steam mops & is also a fire hazard.
I wish I had known about these steam mops years ago. I have nerve damage and tons of pain in my arm from a car accident and repetitive use in a desk setting. I’m also a person who values cleanliness with a 5 year old in the home. This mop with its pivoting head, powerful steam and light weight enables me even several times a day to mop my floors as needed without pain or having to rest for an entire day. Fantastic invention! I had thought it was a frivolous treat but I was so wrong- this is exactly what I’ve needed for years! It also seems safe and I haven’t gotten burnt yet. It cleans the toughest stains- even grout! I have used it on various surfaces and it totally refreshed Mongolian lamb fur pillows and made them fluffy again. Couches look like new. Floors shiny and it’s fast working and fast dry so you can go about your day without waiting for floors to dry. Saves time, money and has alleviated so much pain- helping me with disabilities become more independent.

Wowww I just had this delivered and it was so easy to set up and use. Once plugged in it heats up in no time and what a grime buster it is. It is sturdy and solid and just glides over my tiled kitchen floor and my wooden floors as well. Over the years I have tried the very expensive brands which took forever to heat up and which were tiresome to use and quite frankly they did not have the cleaning power this one has. I simply love it it makes light work of mopping and is antibacterial and no chemicals involved. I am very happy and great value for money. I also tired the cheaper models that did not work and were not very sturdy and broke in no time. If you are thinking of buying a steam mop don’t hesitate this is one to buy

Thought my floors were clean...until I used this steam mop
This steam mop is excellent value for money and incredibly simple to use, just add water, turn on and you’re ready…
I had initially thought my floors were quite clean as I would use a hand mop regularly as with pets running in and out it was a constant battle to keep clean.
Well, I think the before and after photos speak for themselves as it is able to pick up so much dirt in the hard wood floors and tile that I clearly wasn’t able to pick up with the hand mop!
The only negative I’d say is that the cord is quite short so you find yourself having to unplug and move to another one around the house which is a little annoying.
I absolutely had to review this after using for the first time this afternoon! Someone really thought this product through and it does absolutely everything you’d want for a steam mop. I love –
1:The way it stands upright independently, no need to lean precariously on the kitchen counter
2: The mop head sides are low with sharp lines to get under the edges of washing machines, fridges, right up to the kick boards etc. The corners are beautifully pointed too and just the right size and angle for getting a wonderful clean between skirting board corners etc.
3: The wonderfully long handle, I’m 5.6ft and the last steam mop I had gave me back ache having to stoop over with it’s shorter handle, this one is the perfect height, and I imagine a dream for taller people too!
4: The fact that the microfibre mop head has a whole fleece type material backing rather than just a few points for attachment, so you can whack it on and it’s stuck in place, no fussing about trying to line it up to get it to stick properly. It’s also slightly larger than the mop head so when it’s attached there’s extra overlapping the edges to enable every part, including those lovely sharp edges and corners to do wonderful job cleaning!
5: The fact you get TWO of the cloth mop heads!
6: The large water reservoir holds 400ml Max which was the perfect amount to do a really thorough job on my kitchen Floor (5x4m)
7: I used this in MAX steam and it left no puddles anywhere, even when I paused in places to deal with a child, and the whole floor dried really fast too!
The only thing I would comment on as negative is that there’s no clip at the top of the handle near the cable tidy to hold the cable in place to stop it unraveling as you’re cleaning, (most electrical appliances have these) however it was swiftly remedied by my husband with a rubber cable tidy/bag sealer!
LOVE LOVE LOVE my new cleaner, cleaning the floor with In a house of 3 messy boys is an absolute effortless doddle now!!

The best Steam Mop Ever!
I have had several steam mops over the years, but this is the best yet! I have a mix of tiles floors and laminate and found it difficult to get a good clean on the laminate as previous mops made it too wet. The Vileda mop makes light work of them, as there is a steam adjuster knob which can be turned to low, so I get gleaming, clean laminate floors now! If there is a slight downside, I think the length of cord could be a metre longer, but really that’s just me being picky. I found it great value for money and am so pleased I chose this one, it really is the best Steam Mop Ever!!
Love it! Highly recommend!
I love this product! Cleans the floors like a dream! I use it all the time! Very well made and easy to use. The only downside is that I wish I could see how much water is inside the unit. I’ve spilled water many times when filling it up because I can’t see how much I have in there. I also wish the pads were not white. It’s difficult to get the stains out But otherwise very good. This product isn’t bulky at all and stores well. I highly recommend this product! I love i
I hesitated to buy this for a while and did consider a few more expensive variations but in the end I’m glad I plumped for this one. Simple to use and a bit basic really but it does the job and was really quick to set up and easy and quick to use. All you have to is attach the cleaning pad to the Velcro, fill up the tank at the front with water, switch on at the back and within 15 seconds you can clearly see the steam coming out from the pad and then you’re good to go. The lead is very long which is very useful but it’s slightly cumbersome to move around, particularly when switching rooms. It’s worth making sure the pad is firmly and evenly attached at all three edges so you can really get into the corners of your rooms and around cupboards etc. I’m pleased with it – it definitely does the job and is pretty good value.
Great little item, easy to use! Could do with the lead being slightly longer. Great using the plastic attachment to use on carpets! Floors dry very quick a lot less messy that a mop & bucket!
Hello Everyone,
I ordered this steam mop as previously was a good experience to use Vileda manually.
So, it’s like a dream. Works perfectly, I’m very happy with it. For short people whose under 5″3 (160cm) like me it can be a bit uncomfortable to use because basically the steam mop is tall.
I have had a dirty carpet and now is nearly white and I used once to discover the original colour of the carpet! Tiles are stunningly beautiful and shiny. Yuuuhuuu
The other important thing is if you want to make longer this fantastic steam mop life in this case ALWAYS USE DISTILLED WATER because tap water can damage perfectly.
Also the fibre clothes are easy to clean. Personally, I didn’t put it in the washing machine. What I did is I put water to the kettle, boiled the water and I put the water into a bucket with domestos and washing machine power and left it for 24 hours. After I took out the clothes I removed the water and left it on the bathroom radiator to dry. It dries itself over 2 hour and look like brand new!
I hope it was informative. My experience is really good and I am extremely happy as I gave a chance to try this amazing steam mop.
My message to the Vileda Company Team is keep up the great work! Well done!

After years of struggling with the old mop and bucket , I decided it was time to hit the 21st century and try a steam mop . Boy , am I glad I did . It’s incredibly easy to set up , and heats up did use in 15 seconds . It comes with 2 pads , which I wasn’t sure were reusable , so I bought a pack of 2 along with it . The pads are reusable . You can machine wash them over and over , so you’re not constantly having to replace them . Mine were grim after the first use , I did put them in on a pre wash cycle , which brought them up like new .
When you’re using it , it glides across the floor , so no exertion needed . As it’s triangular , it fits into corners – the head swivels as you move it , so it’s literally no hassle . If you have any heavy use areas that need a bit of extra oomph , just hold the cleaner still for a few seconds , and the steam does the work .
It’s compact , so I’ve managed to stand it in a small cupboard . The lead is very long , so unless you have very large rooms , you probably won’t need to unplug and plug in elsewhere . It holds 400m of water , so I’m able to do my kitchen , lounge and bathroom with one tank . Having said that , my house is quite small , but there is an alarm doh d when the tank needs refilling . As I said , it heats up in 15 seconds , so it wouldn’t be a nuisance to refill .
A tip from girly me to you : as it just uses hot water to clean , and I do like a scented cleaning spray , I bought a bottle of ironing water and used that as part of the water I put in the tank . I used 50ml of it in 400ml of water , and it smelt lovely .
I’m 60 this year , not quite as energetic as I used to be , and the ease of use with this steamer is amazing . I wish I’d bought it years ago

Excellent buy
Used every other day in the kitchen over the past three weeks. Plenty of steam, and the vinyl floor tiles come up well, though I always do them twice, leaving the first wash to dry first and do a second clean about 20 minutes later. I’m not sure where the comments about flimsy handles and burning cords spring from, my own experience to date has been good. Very easy to use, refill, attach / detach mop heads (which incidentally are a doddle to clean). Stands upright and stable when not in use. Altogether an excellent piece of kit for 60.
I bought this after reading good reviews , I wasn’t disappointed, it’s easy to set up and use ,I like the fact it has a minimum / maximum heat control button. They recommend using the minimum setting for delicate floors such as laminate. I was worried about how wet this would leave my laminate , but this cleaned without leaving it wet through and it dried in no time, I also love the fact it gets it all the corners around the edges

We’ve had 2 steam mops before this one. They both broke. One lasted quite a long time but the last one conked out after just a few months light use. A friend recommended this one by Vileda. Her sister had the same model too for several months hard use and was very happy with it. My husband is in charge of floor cleaning in our house and he says this Vileda model it works very well. We use it on our kitchen floor (Amtico) and our hallways (Tarket strip wood). As for durability, we’ll have to wait and see but we feel more confident because of our friend and her sister’s recommendations, plus, of course, Vileda is a trusted brand.
PS I wanted to include a photo of my husband using it but he wouldn’t let me 🙂

I love this steam cleaner! I used to have the h2o but it broke after I stupidly added zoflora to the water a few times – haha! Anyway, lesson learnt. This time I wanted to try something different and the other reviews for this one seemed quite good. The cord is a fab length – I have a small open plan downstairs with laminate flooring and it reaches from the kitchen all the way through to the hallway, so no having to stop half way and change plugs! The pads that attach to the bottom are large and fluffy so I find they get into the grooves between the flooring really well, they also pick up a lot of the bits of dust that our hoover wouldn’t. They wash really well, just used my normal non-bio and put them in with the white wash and they look brand new! I did buy a spare pack of these too, so I have plenty on hand.
The steam cleaner itself is so easy to use, the on/off button is at the back and the dial to turn the steam power is on the front. It comes with a small jug which makes filling with water so simple. I don’t know why people are moaning about emptying it either, if I do have any water left I just take off the cap, go over to the sink and tip it to the side (swoosh it around a bit) and make sure the water is all gone – easy!
Storage is perfect as the steam cleaner is free standing, so it fits perfectly in my cupboard under the stairs! No having to rest it against something. It’s also fairly light weight so it can be moved around the house with minimal effort.
Once cleaned, the floor dries quickly! This is another bonus as nobody wants to be stuck standing in the corner waiting for the floor to dry!
Overall, and for the price, this steam cleaner is great and I would definitely recommend it!!

Cleans very well
Used to clean tiled and laminated floors and am pleased with the results. While it is easy to use it is basically unstable, especially as the cable weighs more than the equipment, so care has to be taken to ensure it does not topple over when left for a few moments to move furniture etc. and storing. Health & Safety guidance was in large print while the assembly instructions were in much smaller font and not at all clear and I am not certain that the ones I received were for the correct model.
Fantastic item , have bought more expensive ones in the past but this is far easier to use , store and gives excellent results.
Heats up very quickly-very quickly indeed .
Only negative is that there is no water line / view when refilling but easily overcome.
Have bought one for my dad and two other family members have purchased the same after reviewing mine .
Excellent steamer , highly recommended
After years of mopping I decided to convert to a steam mop and I’m glad I did. This steam mop is really light and compact and simple to use. It’s surprising how much dirt it lifts.
The first time I used it I sprayed some lavender flash cleaner on the floor but that made the floor really sticky and streaky. Since I have just used the mop with water and no other products and it doesn’t leave streaks and cleans fine on its own. The only thing is it does still leave my laminate very slightly sticky, I don’t know why? The cord could also do with being slightly longer. My shark Hoover can go around my hole bungalow without changing plug sockets but I do need to switch with this mop.
Overall, happy with the product and glad I made the switch!

Great product, was delivered within 24hrs of purchasing, I cant tell you how excited I was to try this steamer out.
Very quick heating time and glides with a little effort.
I bought the steamer as I have two messy 2yo and really needed to get a quick clean up, does just the job. Also, needed for daily cleans on entry/exit ways to keep those germs and viruses away.
Haven’t tried it on the carpets/rugs just yet so will need to do an edit if I can.
My dislike is that it’s not able to clean other furniture e.g sofas, doors, handles etc, strictly floor, but otherwise a great product.
Thanks Amazon/seller

I brought this mop to replace my russell hobs steam mop which stopped working after a few months so far I’m very impressed . The steam output is really good . I only need it on the lowest setting. The handle is long . As I’m 6ft this is helpful . Handle is easy to push and swivels to get into awkward corners . The pads stay on well and are easily washed undamaged . It’s really easy to setup and use and floor drys within minutes with no streaks . I’ve heard people moaning about wet floors but that’s just because the steam is on to high with 4 children grubby feet and hands I highly recommend . Hopefully it will last longer than a few months
Vileda steam mop
So pleased that I finally bought a Vileda Steam mop. Fast delivery and easy to assemble. Tiled and wooden flooring done in no time and they look so much cleaner than after using a mop and bucket. Much drier too so my socks didn’t end up as wet! I’d read other reviews, so kept the steam low for wooden floors and higher for the kitchen tiles. This worked well. Love that the cleaning pads are machine washable. I did order extra pads but they seem pretty sturdy, so the ones provided with the mop will probably last for ages. Oh, and the triangular mop head swivels, so it is great for awkward corners . I haven’t tried the carpet attachment yet.
This is fantastic, more constant steam than you can shake a stick at, lovely long handle and the longest cord ever, the pad is bigger than the bottom so you don’t miss any floor, feels sturdy not flimsy. I love it. EDIT this was a replacement for the same one i only bought in march today 4 months later i have had to return this one too for a different problem, that being said I have re-ordered it as it it a brilliant steamer with a great length of cord, 3rd time lucky!
Received this Steam Cleaner today. First impressions are that it is a vast improvement over my previous non Vileda one. It is easy to assemble, once you have found the Instructions. Filled with water, see later, to carry out a test. My previous Cleaner had used a Cloth Pad which used a drawstring to pull it tightly over the Microfibre Pad. These pick up most of the soiling and are easy to Launder, so I decided to fit one for the test. You will see these as an optional extra on the Amazon Website. With the Green light on, the familiar pulsing started after about 20 seconds and steam started to come out of the Pad. I normally use the lowest setting as I find Tiles are touch dry after a few minutes. The machine is easy to use, with a sturdy Handle which helps to steer it. You then start to notice that you need a Clip to hold the Cable just beneath the Handle while using it, which makes the whole operation easier. Also when you wind up the Cable after use it hangs down too far and needs a small clip, like on Vacuums to restrain it. The other tip is to use only Rainwater in the Machine. This is a soft water which will prevent furring up. If the Machine had been provided with the two Clips, I would have given it 5 Stars all round.

Only got this yesterday & used it this morning love this little steam cleaner, light weight easy to use did living room carpet kitchen utility & bathroom. Well I thought my floors were clean as I mop every day as I have two dogs I was so surprised when I saw the cloth as it was quite dirty. The only thing I could find wrong was the handle has no grip to it & as I have arthritis I struggled at times. Otherwise a winner.

Many people, many opinions and experiences. We have it now for 2 months, or bit more. We use it weekly in our appartment(wood and carpet) we are very satisfied, and im sorry if someone else has a different experience, how ever we think its great! We put everytime essential oil into the tank too, and you smell the difference! Oh, would like a longer cord though!
I HATE CLEANING FLOORS, ESPECIALLY WITH A SQUEEZY MOP, and my floors are usually left until they are pretty dirty due to that reason. After a bit of research I settled for this steam mop and my life is revolutionised! (kind of). Here are the plusses- 1 easy to assemble 2 lightweight easy to fill and empty (over the sink but easy due to its weight) 3 great steam output 4 manoeurvrability – easy to get into corners 5 gets the floor nice and clean 6 doesn’t soak the floor. 7 stands up on its own, which is more than you can say for some other ones. 8 pads can be washed by hand or in the machine. 9 the velcro, so far , is holding the pads well.
Cons- Can’t think of any. Time will tell, but I guess if it is treated properly nothing untoward will occur. Watch this space!
I bought this after an annoying experience with a similar steam mop from another make – this is slightly more expensive, but really worth the little extra money! It’s quite light and easy to maneveur, the head can reach corners quite well. The water tank is easy to refill, steam is produced almost immediately and the pad stays put without slipping away at any chance. The pad also washes quite well in the washing machine. Plus, it stands up on its own without any problems (can’t say the same about my previous one).
Please note that there is no trigger – the steam comes continuously, which for me is actually a big bonus but maybe not for everyone? you can still stop the steam by switching it off, of course.
I have white floorboards so it is quite easy to check whether the steam mop is effective or not – it is! I also use it on my carpet, do not expect it to come out thoroughly cleaned but it’s definitely refreshed.
Really happy so far, hope it lasts well.

What a nifty steam mop, far better than my old one! The steam is strong and I was shocked how dirty my floors were showing that the old fashioned mop did not do a good job. It is so flexible and fits well under wall hung toilets and furniture. The only suggestion I have for the makers is that the water tank part should be see through so that you know when it is due for a refill, else it is a great mop and so easy to handle with one hand and puts no strain on my back on arms.

This is my first steam mop, I love it. Received it yesterday, days before I should have,
so really pleased about that. Cleaned bathroom and kitchen vinyl floors, most certainly cleaner than a mop and bucket, plus steamed lounge carpet, hopefully ridding it of mites and any other pests for my westies itchy skin.
It certainly has made a noticeable difference on vinyl floors. Can’t wait to use it again. Only downside, though I would still buy it, is the glider for carpets, if you lift up mop it falls off, irritating! .. Will call company, and hopefully they can sort it.
I purchased a more expensive steam mop which left me floors soaking wet and was just not as good. This steam mops heats quickly and produces a good head of steam without leaving things wet, so the floor dried super quickly. Wish I had bought this one first.
This steamer is ideal for floors with an adjustable steam output. Use it every day as have four dogs. The cleaning pads all seem to be the same size so the ones I have from my last 3 models all fit.
No trigger to pull, on/off button takes 15 secs to start.
Only thing negative is the cable is shorter than the other products but that’s not a real problem.
We’ll worth the money.
I am a little ashamed to post my photo of the mop head colour following it’s application on my textured kitchen floor, but it does prove a point! Having a cat who trails in and out with muddy paws, I promise you that I do frequently mop over the floor but I could see that due to it’s textured nature, the tiles were becoming ingrained. So i carefully read the reviews and decided to take a punt on this very reasonably priced steam mop.
It came packed in just the manufacturers box with no additional resources used by Amazon, which I was pleased with. It was easy to put together and started up straight away having filled out up with water. It took 30 seconds or so to start vibrating, telling me it was ready for use. I have a bad back but the mop was light to use and very easy to apply, with no pressure needed to get the dirt up. You can see the results on the photo! The mop head stayed on throughout, the mop stood up on its own and it was easy to refill the water when needed. I really have no issues at all with the product and am pleased I bought it. I used the mop on it’s lowest temperature to also clean a rather less dirty engineered wooden hall and there were no problems at all. I can recommend the product and intend to use it monthly to keep my kitchen clean.

It works
The item arrived in good time and has done a reasonable job on the tile and lino floors I have tried it on. My partner had problems with the cloth cleaning attachment on the cleaning head rolling up when she tried steam cleaning one of the lino floors. You have to make sure the velcro type connection points are firmly pressed down. Even-so the lino floor offers more friction against the cleaning cloth than a tiled floor does and I to found a tendency for the cloth to start rolling up. Twiddling with the cloth when it is hot from steam is not a joy. My partner is shorter than I and so the cleaning angle may be relevant. I have not used the carpet cleaning feature because Ii have no carpets. My previous steam cleaner, an H2O, simply stopped working permanently one day, which was very annoying because I had not used it all that much. As long as the Vileda does not go the same way, I’ll be happy with it.
I almost feel the need to post this review anonymously, such is my shame at the before and after cloths!
I’d been considering a floor steamer for ages and was getting myself bogged down with all of the options and reviews. In the end I took the plunge on this (over a Shark model at twice the price), thanks to a couple of reviews which stood out. I’m so glad I did!
I’ve just used it for the first time after quickly mopping the floor over first to give it a fighting chance, and – yikes!!!! The cloth speaks for itself!
We live semi-rurally on a single track lane surrounded by farmland, but we do of course clean our boots outside and take off shoes as we come in, although we’re not overly precious with visitors doing the same as it’s a simple slate floor. We also have two dogs, who we wipe down before they come in when wet, but, well…. dogs!
I was a little concerned at how the steamer would cope on our floor as – piccies attaches – we have some really uneven tiles which will easily rip a sponge mop head. I have to say it coped no problem at all, although I found it easier to sweep it from side to side or pull it backwards rather than use it in a vacuuming motion. The lead is not quite long enough to reach to the furthest corner of our room from the one plug which I use for vacuuming. I was really quite thorough and certainly didn’t rush, yet still had water left in the reservoir and so can do the full room without needing to top up. Because the cloth extends slightly beyond the steamer head it easily reaches into corners (and indeed can slide under the feet of the table legs where they don’t sit flush on the floor), so managing a closer clean than any mop can.
So far, so pleased! I’ve dropped a star simply because a) the lead is not quite long enough for our requirements (that’s just us though), and b) even though I didn’t need to top up I’d have quite liked a reservoir window to see how much water was left, but this a personal preference – it lets you know when it needs refilling.
The floor looks better than it has ever looked, including the day it was laid! You don’t get the same ‘fresh floor’ smell as you do when mopping as it is only cleaning with steam and you can only add water to the tank, but I rinsed out the cloth in floor cleaner and swept over again as a final finish, which released some fragrance. I have read some people splash some on the floor first, just for the scent (as you don’t need it to clean). Really pleased; had my room been smaller so I didn’t have to switch sockets I think I’d have given 5 stars!

I used the steamer on a plastic laminate floor, and it was left covered in scratches! I can only assume that the cloth had slipped off the Velcro, which subsequently scored the floor. Thankfully they have all but polished out, but I now use clips and string to ensure that the cloth always covers the mop head in its entirety. I continue to love this for tiled floors, but wouldn’t recommend for laminate given my experience.

So easy to use
Was fed up of using a standard floor mop and still not quite getting the cleanliness I wanted. So bit the bullet and bought this steam mop. Easy to assemble and use. Get’s into most nooks and corners, doesn’t leave the floor as wet as a traditional mop so dry in half the time. I have several floor types, lino, tiled and laminate works a treat on all of them. If I have any real dirty bits I put a bit of floor cleaner down and then steam. Reason for 4 stars and not 5 is there should be a button on the handle for ease of removing it quickly if you have limited storage. It is nearly impossible to use, so handle stays attached.
Surprisingly good!
Never had a steam mop before so hard to compare to anything but this was easy to use out of the box. Ready to use in seconds it is much easier than filling a buckets and hauling that around and still wondering if the floors are clean or if you are just swishing dirt from room to room. The adjustable steam setting is nice and it leaves our floors feeling very fresh in a way regular mop systems never did. It is now used regularly and where I used to dread mopping it’s actually a very satisfying chore knowing the floors are super clean (esp with two kittens about). I know I won’t be going back to regular mops again. Very happy!
This steam mop was a replacement for my Morphy Richards Steam mop which after much spluttering and replacement of parts – finally called it a day. I was very happy with my M.Rich and mourned it’s death,. But after much research of reviews I came across this Vileda Steam Mop reviews and decided to give it a go – So glad I did! I cannot believe how great this little mop is! It’s much lighter than my old mop and leaves the floor far drier than I ever thought possible with steam cleaning (I’ve also had a H20 – loved the attachments but left the floor quite wet) I have both Ceramic Tiled floors and Hard Wood flooring and this Vileda Mop works like a charm on both! Mine came with 1 mop pad so I purchased a pack of 2 from another vendor in order to do my entire home at once. It’s really easy to assemble, easy to manoeuvre, and the cord is long so I don’t have to use an extension cord abut the best bit is the Steam output – Fantastic!..I whip round the house every other day using it – and by the time I’ve completed the 2nd room the first is already bone dry – with the windows open, the room can be dry by the time I’ve run it from one end of the room to the other!…If you have any doubts – just kick em to the kerb and go for it!

With a couple of dogs in the house and tile / laminate floors pretty much throughout, I was mopping daily to remove marks and keep everywhere fresh.
This steam mop has been such a time-saver and I can now cover the kitchen, conservatory, living room and bathroom in just ten minutes or so. The amount of dirt removed by the steam action and soft pad is remarkable and there’s a visible and tactile difference.
The variable steam flow allows the mop to be used safely on all sorts of surfaces and it has been fine with our laminate flooring (for which I adjust the flow rate to the minimum setting). The cleaning pads attach by Velcro and so are easily affixed and removed and wash very well at 40 – 60C.
The mop is ready to use from cold in just a few seconds and is easily refilled. The power cord is sufficiently long to cover a couple of good-sized rooms. With a reasonably well-ventilated room, drying time is as little as a few minutes, so no worries about residual moisture or a lasting slip hazard.
For the price, this is an excellent addition to the cleaning cupboard and has all but rendered the traditional mop, bucket and detergents redundant!
I’m so pleased I bought this…it has to be my Best Buy this year. I live in an old French farm house. The floor tiles are white, old and have a deep texture to them, making the floor so hard to keep clean. In the past I have spent hours scrubbing the tiles with bleach. My Vileda steam mop arrived today, well packed, and within 4 days of ordering. It was very easy to assemble. The water jug is well designed, allowing me to fill the water tank quickly and without fuss, in two fills.
The mop has a decent length of handle and a good long, sturdy, cable. The head manoeuvres easily and gets into all the edges. I was pleased that it could reach under the edge of all of the kitchen machinery.
I was astonished by how easy it was to use, and how quickly it cleaned the floor. When I’d finished the floor I rinsed the cloth under the tap with a bit of dishwashing liquid and then tried the carpet glider. My goodness…it brought the rugs up like new !
A hoover to the rugs before and after using the steamer removed dog hair that I hadn’t even realised was there.
It feels lovely to have such a great result so quickly. The mop stands to attention when not in use and the wire winds up onto the handle.
This machine is ACE !

Very pleased with this product...would absolutely recommend...
I bought this as I was fed up with using a mop and bucket to clean the floor. This was very easy to put together. It comes with a small jug with a measurement of up to 200 ml as that is the maximum amount of water the Vileda Steam mop can hold at any one time. There is a small lid on the back of the device which you twist to take off and then pour the water into the body of the machine. Once you switch the machine on it takes probably about 30 seconds to heat up before you hear the steam. Once you start moving the device across the floor the steam cleans the floor area. It is recommended that you hoover the area before cleaning but I was surprised how easy this was to use. If you run out of water the machine just stops really. It also come with two floor cleaning pads which are very easy to attach to the bottom of the machine. Only one pad is needed at a time and after I had finished using I simply put the pads in the washing machine on 60 degree wash and they came up very clean. Certainly cleaner than I thought they would. I also thought it was a very good price as well.
Quick, easy and very light to use
Really easy to put together , takes up very little room for storage .I had never owned a steamer before but I am so glad I bought this one based on the name and customer reviews and I just wanted a steamer that does one job really well. I was not disappointed. I use deionised water as I live in a hard water area. The steamer heats up very quickly and cleans really thoroughly ,I will never use a cloth and bucket or sponge cleaners that go flat and black again. It gets into all the corners as the head swivels, it leaves a clean dry floor and the mop head can be hand-washed or put into the washing machine .I also use it to keep rugs fresh and remove any surface stains with the carpet glider. No chemicals needed, quick and easy and very light to use.
Nifty bit of ki
This is a nifty bit of kit. Extremely easy to use, you can get started in under 5 mins. Starts producing steam within a few seconds. Its light to use but has a good sturdy feel. The water tank holds 400ml and I did 3 medium sized hard floors on max steam setting and it used less than half a tank. It was a delight to use the build quality felt great. Floors were cleaned and sanitised without the use of detergents. Doesn’t leave surfaces soaked either. Im very very happy with my purchase. My dad has a much more expensive Shark steamer and this vileda one is better, the triangle swivel head shape is great for getting into the nooks & crannies.
An older steam mop from a different company finally bit the dust , so after looking at reviews of several I decided to try this one. Firstly impressed with the speed of delivery and ease of putting this together. Very easy to use and mop head is good to angle into smaller corners. Only been using it for a week and very happy so far with how well it cleans different surfaces in our house. Laminate, vinyl and ceramic floor tiles , all coming up gleaming. Worth the price.
This is an awesome steamer. I live in a hard water area so I have tried many before but this one beats them all. It’s the lightest, huge plus for me and my wooden floor. I was slightly worried about the review that said it was too tall. I’m 5.4″ but I fully understand why vieleda made the handle so long, thank you, my reach has almost doubled making it quicker for me to get those pesky paw prints. I love it has an on/off switch not a trigger on the handle. It really is a great steamer and I can thoroughly recommend it.

I decided on this steam mop after a bit of internet surfing. I needed one to clean the kitchen floor after my 18 month dog has thrice daily walks. My old spray mop just didn’t cut the mustard and was particularly prone to being attacked by said four legged friend every time it made an appearance. The steam mop hisses which isn’t attractive to him. That aside my kitchen floor has never been so clean, so effortlessly, and there’s no hassle and no chemicals required. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for an easier and non-backbreaking way of cleaning floors. I have progressed to using it in the bathroom.
Was looking for a basic steam mop – wasn’t bothered about different attachments just wanted it to steam mop my ceramic tiles in my kitchen and bathrooms. It arrived on time and took minutes to assemble. Really liked the fact it stands up right by itself and the cable is quite long. It takes literally seconds to heat up and start producing steam. First time I used it I couldn’t believe how effective it was and the amount of dirt that came off my floor was amazing. (Before I had been using just a normal mop head). I thought it was a very good price compared to some others and if. like me, you just want something to clean your floor properly, I would definitely recommend this.
Great steam mop. Heats up quickly, removes marks, foot prints, grease etc with ease. We have both tiled and laminate flooring, only takes a few minutes for water to evaporate and dry. The cord is a decent enough length and wraps easily – just like it would with a standing hoover. Been really happy with this purchase – far easier using this then any other mopping system I’ve tried. Also living with two large dogs this has just been a faff free way to get rid of muddy paw prints
I have had a few steam mops and this has been by far the easiest and most sturdy feeling one. It’s predecessor was a Murphy Richards and it broke quickly, got it exchanged and the second broke. This one is put together in just two straight clicks. Instructions are basic and easy to follow. I do tip it back when I fill it with water because the water holder is part of the main body of the mop. But this worked fine and was easy to pour the water in. You get a measuring jug, and told you can put x2 200ml in. Which I did. It has a dial which means you can control the heat steam quantity. Another BIG bonus was this mop once going on higher doesn’t stop. So you get a constent flow of steam. Instead of its predecessor which blasted a bit of steam then you had to wait 30 seconds for it to heat again. I used this mop on my tile flooring and also on the walk mat flooring at my front door. All came up clean and bright. You get a real feel of cleanliness after using this product. It doesn’t fall over either. It has a power button on the back so if you have it on highest setting and want to stop, either dial down or switch it off at the back. This product does exactly what it says on the tin so to speak. Light weight and simple steamer that is easy to run around the kitchen floor. I’m really pleased with the results and personally can’t see any reason to spend more on a floor steamer. I personally could do with an extra couple of pads, which you can buy separately. It seems to do a good job of picking up the dirt on to the pads and I’ve had good success removing sticky foods from the floor (I have young kids and some of their food seems to fuse to the floor! Weetabix and jelly particularly tough but this steamer copes well!)

My new best friend
Never liked steam cleaning before as it made everything wet and by the time you messed around with all the attachments, you could have cleaned quicker by hand. However, this little gem of a steamer has changed my mind. For a start, it’s soooo simple and easy to use. You plug it in, fill with water, plonk the head on a cleaning pad and away you go. The instructions are obsolete – you don’t need them. It cleans my tiled kitchen floor in minutes and doesn’t leave it too wet. Works a treat on the floor around the loo as well. The lead is nice and long and i can do the whole downstairs floors without refilling the water tank. I love this mop. It’s the perfect floor steamer as far as I’m concerned. Can’t recommend enough.
Ecellent steam mop
This steam mop is excellent. It cleans floors quickly and doesn’t leave the floors too wet. I found that as long as you move the steam mop fast enough (as if you’re hoovering) the floors are practically dry after a couple of minutes. I use it on laminate and polished wooden floors and it leaves them shiny and clean. I find it a lot easier and quicker to use than a mop and bucket and it leaves hardly any wipe-marks like a mop and bucket does. After a few uses I found that my floors were more shiny as if the residue of all the chemicals had been removed. I store my mop on top of the carpet attachment so it does not get anything stuck to the velcro. The pad sticks very well and is easy to clean – it can be washed at 60 degrees!! and comes out of the washing machine near enough dry. As I live in a very hard water area I empty the water reservoir before storing to prevent limescale build up. The cord is long enough to do quite a large area of my house. No complaints so far!!
I bought this product in a prime day sale, works as described. I have laminate flooring and I am embarrassed by how dirty my floors were after just one mop around (see picture) I thought the floors were clean as I regularly hoover them. The mop produces a lot of steam, I haven’t yet tried it on the full heat setting as I haven’t needed to. Only cons are that when you put the water in it’s very difficult to get it out as you can’t seperate the water tank, also the floors are left slightly damp and take about 10mins to dry after use.

This is a great steam mop …the handle is sturdy, which is not the case for many steam mops …. this is not flimsy and doesn’t go soft and bendy when it heats up!… only after a year did I have to tighten the handle …good going.
The dials and switches are sturdy and durable – solid… no complaints
The mops heads are washable and wash up like new – even after a year of weekly 95C washes!
This is my 4th steam mop with the previous ones only lasting about 12mths. There are mixed reviews on this particularly about it leaving a very wet floor but decided to give it a go – the 2 yr guarantee helped convince me. Yes the floor is a bit wetter after than previous mops but this is because the steam is much more powerful! It cleans in half the time but if you want, you can turn down the steam – something none of previous mops offered. This also helps when I clean my oak floor in the hall – the lower steam setting is great for this. Would definitely recommend this mop.

I’m very pleased with this, it was one of those things I thought what do I need that for, but I just get in a soppy mess when I’m cleaning floors so I thought I’d investigate as we have a dog . This was so easy and the floor looks so much cleaner. A previous reviewer said glad to have done research and this was the best so I went with it and she was righ
With laminate floors and stone tiles a steam mop is an essential in my house. Unfortunately they haven’t proven to be very reliable (looking at you Vax and Morphy) but luckily they aren’t hugely expensive these days. I thought I’d go for a different brand and sixty pounds is my sweet spot so Vileda it was.
It came well packed and I like the snazzy black and red livery. Setup was easy enough and filling the water tank is a doddle with the chunky filler cap and jug provided. You then plonk (technical term) the device squarely (ok triang-ley) onto one of the two microfiber pads provided. Press the button, select your steam power (keep it low for wood floors) and you’re off for some steamy fun. Performance is just as good as other devices I’ve used, no better no worse but this item does feel better built and there is no separate tank to come loose like on my old Vax. I’m not a fan of the rather awkward power switch hidden under clear plastic on the back and it’s also worth mentioning that this steamer is very tall. I’m just over six foot and this nearly reaches my nips. It would be nice to be able lower the handle particularly when storing. Also, the handle has no soft grip so is quite uncomfortable in use. I bought some racket tape off ebay for a couple of pounds and that has improved it a lot.
So far so good, it feels built to last and cleans well without the expense of extra cleaning fluids and I can even use the pads from my old Vax with it. Result.
What I dislike 1st. Only one thing. I could not locate on/off button. Ended up phoning a friend. It is black (same colour as steamer). Not at front or on wand, but in the body of machine at the back. What a silly place to put it.
Works very well WHEN switched on. Good head of steam. Very light weight, can be picked up with one finger. Yes a very good buy

I love this hygienic steam mop, it’s very durable and powerful and I love how it stands up on its own without toppling over. It’s also really easy to manoeuvre around with the swivel head and I love how you can mop over your carpets and rugs using the carpet glider attachment. I’d definitely recommend!

Bought the simplest model cause my partner will probably be using it the most and so far everything is quiet. If you’re looking for a simple steam mop then look no further, I strongly recommend this model – you’ll not be disappointed and your floors will look great!
No steamers are cheap but very happy so far with my purchase it seems to do a good job.
Very happy with my purchase, although over double the price of the Amazon warehouse deal for the original steamer (VAX). Should probably have returned the original from the beginning, especially now since I have had this one and realised just how much the other was a waste of time. The plus and minus for the Vileda mop is as follows: if the power is on, it’s on, you can’t stop the steam, as you could with the VAX (in theory), and it does seem to get the floors much wetter. However, the plus is, you don’t have to keep a button depressed to get the steam, which did get very tiring (when it took 3 hours + to clean the kitchen floor due to lack of steam, this makes a lot of difference). I do think that floor steamers are pricey for what they are, however, using this steamer so far is a doddle, and the job is done speedily as anticipated when bought.
After being in agony with ‘Housemaid’s knee’ from a hands and knees job on the kitchen floor’s ceramic tiles, I bought this WONDERFUL steam mop and wish I’d done so years ago! I haven’t yet used it on a carpet but will do shortly. On floors I run out of superlatives. It’s worth every penny. There’s not a single thing I can say against it… Thank you my Vileda friend.

Does everything I wanted it to. Light and easy to use without feeling too flimsy. I’ve used it on laminate flooring, vinyl flooring and carpets. The cloths are easy to wash in the washing machine.
Very effective cleaning of tiled floors, with good and rapid steam production and no re-filling required during operation. Not yet used on carpeting, but the omens are good! Lightweight and stores easily in broom cupboard. Cord length ample. Reasonably priced and would recommend.

This is a cracking little steamer. Bought to replace my Shark basic model, which was rubbish and only lasted me a year. Things I love about this are; the pads stay put during use. It pulses to let you know water needs topping up. It stands up on its own when you let go, rather than clattering to the floor. It has temperature settings so you can use a hotter setting for example on a tiled floor and a cooler one on a laminate floor. It steams thoroughly without you having to add any pressure. I have recommended this to a number of friends as it’s well priced and effective. Love it for hygenically cleaning my kitchen floor and those little dribbles in the bathroom from the boys in the house. Two negatives though; it will mark a laminate floor if you leave it sitting on it as I am won’t to do whilst I go move a piece of furniture etc, and the water tank could do with being a little larger. That’s all! I defy anyone to be disappointed with this great mop.

This product is just a life saver. I was really tired of moping with a regular mop and I came across this one here.
IT is an amazing product, it does the job perfectly and it is very easy to use
Love this product!! Changed my life!!…
As a Childminder, I really like this this product — it is extremely versatile and gives me great peace of mind where cleanliness and bugs are concerned.
I have heard several friends talk about steam mops and because I have always found Vileda to be good quality, I decided to go for one of these due to the amount of dirt coming in and out of my house all day with groups of children as well as my 2 cats.
I was impressed with how quickly it heated up and how easy it was to fill. My 11yr old daughter put it together so that was easy too! I was pleased to have 2 cleaning pads so that one can go in the washing machine (came up really well after 1st wash!).
I have so far used this on my tiled kitchen floor, Vinyl bathroom/shower room floor, carpet and 2 mattresses (with the attachment for doing carpets). I found the tiled floor quicker to wash and especially good at getting “bits” stuck to the floor that I’d usually have to scrape or mop over several times with a normal mop. It dried much quicker too. I was especially pleased of the improved finish on my very old landing and stair carpet — really fluffed up the pile and made it smell a lot fresher — especially when I hoovered this again after I’d steamed it. I did find that when I did the stair carpet, the carpet clip/head came off a couple of times, but I think this was more down to me knocking it off, as I suppose it’s not really meant for stairs!
I really liked the shape of the head (sad I know!), as this triangular shape and ball type joint on the handle, gave it great maneuverability — especially good for getting into corners and round the back of the toilet.
Due to my daughter having quite sensitive skin, I also decided to try it out on her mattress using the carpet thingy, where it worked really well. I put the steam on power to ensure the mattress didn’t take too long to dry and it dried within 10 mins. Whilst it doesn’t remove stains, it definitely made the mattress fresher and as steaming is the recommended approach for natural bed Bug control, I feel happier knowing that this should reduce the chance of any issues if used every 3 months (the bed bug cycle apparently!).
I have already recommended this to several people — in my mind great versatility, improved ease of cleaning and improved “Bug/bacteria killing” over traditional methods.
