HANDY GADGET
Took a while to work out how to use it. Instructions could have been better but at least they were not in multi-languages.
Nice tool to use
It’s a handy tool. I’m cutting 2 inch timber, which I do with two cuts. The laser is useful when plunging, to see the angle of the cut prior to sinking the cutting wheel. Nicer to use than a circular saw. Good for accuracy.
Great sturdy tool.
Very impressed. Works very well, easy to manoeuvre and a good price.
Mini saw
Excellent saw, can use one handed. Used for cutting flooring. Set depth gauge and cut 18mm oak flooring no problem. Comes with wood blade.
compact and easy to use
ead the reviews and they were mixed although more positive than negative. i found this saw easy to use and it did the job that I specifically bought it for ( to cut round a glass fibre electricity cupboard in order to replace the broken door. To date I have only used it on the one job but looking forward to using it more in the future. Over heating has been an issue on these compact saws (this brand as well as others) but I did not find this. recommended on my one time experience
Excelle
This is my second worx saw. Though I haven’t used it yet I know all about it from my first saw. I really like the idea of the 3 blades as my first came with just 1 blade
Great buy
I bought this for general diy jobs as found a general circular saw too cumbersome.
I decided to try and tile a hearth and then realised this had a diamond tile cutter disc. I used a general tile cutter for most cuts but this came into its own for small cuts, such as the few mm needed to be removed from a 9mm thick porcelain tile.
I thought about a cordless version but I don’t really have plans to use away from home so this is great.
I would buy again.
you get good cu
easy to set depth but the koldon this can slip. I like it alot and would reccomend it for small jobs. Cut 1″ ply with no problem.
Just the job
Purchased this product to trim the edge of decking boards I had laid and couldn’t use my rail saw. The blade assembly was straight forward and a nice edge was produced.
Just a fab bit of ki
Mulled over this purchase for ages looked at loads did the research and took the plunge with this and no regrets.
Compact case I’ve cut engineered flooring doors kitchen worktops all sorts it’s just brill.
One of the best tools in the van not to heavy easy to use and change blade surprised me what it will cut.
Deeper timber take your time to stay straight and don’t force it but I use a square edge to run along anyway.
It really is one of the best investments I’ve made and for the money I can’t see a reason to spend more. Blades are readily available to and build quality seems great to.
Why did I not buy one of these soone
Lovely piece of kit and very useful. I had borrowed a similar Worx unit from a friend and was smitten so got myself one. My only gripe with this model is that the laser is battery powered and not powered from the unit itself, it’s a small gripe as I love this thing. It’s very accurate and cuts cleanly, what more can you ask of it…
Good
Good mini saw, does get hot only used on chipboard 1″, the laser is as much use as a chocolate fireguard impossible to see unless in low light, its only letdown.
Constantly useful
Buying this paid me back in avoidance of blood, sweat and tears. It has served me well in woodwork and cutting tiles (need optional diamond blade).
Easy to use especially for a novice
My carpenter mate has one of these so I decided to get one. First time ever using a power saw but after a bit of practice and much YouTube instructions, I am very happy with this saw. Have cut decking, made deck steps, shelving and cut a metal pipe with both straight cuts and 45 degree mitres. This is my first time buying ‘proper tools’ and I usually cannot knock a nail in straight. So pleased with this saw. Easy to use, portable and comes in a nice box for storage. Now looking for other projects to tackle.
light easy to use single handed
only improvement would be to include additional fine cut blade
cuts through 18mm mdf with ease fast and straight used a saxton 60T blade not 24T supplied
Genuinely Compact and Light Weigh
Before buying the Wrox, I bought a Mac Allister MSMCS500, which had a nice box and more blades, lower price too. However, it was far too heavy and clumsy, not really ‘mini’ and I needed to cut in a tight working space – especially important to keep a low profile.
The Wrox has proven perfect for the job, easy to handle, powers through floorboards, marine plywood, chipboard and the front end is relatively close to the blade, important in tight spots. Very happy with my purchase, worth the extra money.
Not hacked off now.
Easy to use, good balance, weight and size. Nice price too. Maybe could have included a plastic cutting blade.
Very impressed
Just bought and arrived today on time as stated.
Very impressed by the size as I was actually expecting a mini version.
Have not used it yet but will tomorrow it is good tp hold with one hand.
Very happy withy purchase.
well made makes accurate cu
bought to replace old model because of broken trigger unable to obtain spare parts ,very well made and easy to use
WORX small electric saw.
Really great little saw, very easy to use and a good price to buy, recommend
Good Value
Very useful saw , I use it to saw firewood up
Do not use carelessly
I have needed one of these all my DIY life and not known it. Easy to use, handy, not overly heavy and cuts clean.. I bought the small version which only cuts to 27mm but if a deeper cut was needed I’d have no hesitation in buying a larger one. Amazing. Just need to cut a piece in two, trim half an inch this is now my goto tool. I love it. One point though, because it’s so easy to use do not use carelessly.
Good produc
My husband uses this for his work as aroofer. Does have some kick back so need to be careful but brilliant at cutting
Perfect!
Great tool, perfect for smaller jobs and DIY. I’m very pleased.
Easy to handle
Gave this as a birthday present to son in law seems very impressed
Good tool
Used for the first time. Light and easy. Fast and accurate cuts.
Great tool to have around
Brilliant piece of kit I bought to cut some tiles. I would definitely recommend this tool to tradesme
Great product for the price.
Great product for the price. Cuts well and blades are easy to interchange. Depth setting fairly sturdy and overall it does what it should.
It's not a toy
Handy little tool. Could have done with this a long time ago. Just beware that sometimes, depending on what you are cutting, these type of tools have a tendency to give a little kick back. Laser guide is a helpful additio
Well worth the money
I only use it for rough cutting and it’s great for that; light and easy to use and reasonably quiet. Well worth it.

how easy it is to use
I liked the easy adjusting of the blade ,how accurate it is “easy peasy” and a bargain at the price

work worxsaw
as yet i have not used it, due to the winter period. I would class this machine as best in its class, and i purchased it when it was a bargain price, so all in all i am quite pleased with it.
Powerful
A good powerful saw just don’t trust the infrared light it’s we quite a bit off on my saw.
To be honest after reading the many reviews on this item I wasn’t convinced it was going to be the right tool for me there were so many reviews reporting the same problem with the cut not staying true and straight. So I decided to do some research by going to smaller shops who sell building/everyday tools with the intention of getting advise from a professional. It just so happened that this guy didn’t sell Worx but has owned them and he couldn’t praise the tool enough so I went ahead and purchased and as promised was delivered the next day. I was kinda excited to open the box as I needed to complete this job before the Christmas break. The tool is surprisingly big to what I was expecting but not cumbersome if your getting my drift in fact it’s light and easy to control which is big plus in my book but now for the disappointment I needed a saw that would cut 30cm + so this model should be perfect right? it’s advertised that’s its capable of cutting up to 46cm! wrong!! I’m cutting through 20cm and after 400cm it’s cutting off line. now I’m starting to wonder if I’ve made the wrong purchase after all you spend a lot of money on a tool and it doesn’t quite live up to what you expect so with a cuppa in hand I start to work out what the heck’s going wrong after all its new out of the box! … and then it suddenly hits me I pick up the tool and I look at the blade and I’m looking and looking and I start to realise the blade is just to thin!! as the blade cuts its getting hot and the heat causes the blade to distort hence it cuts out of line. In my opinion its a design flaw the blade needs to be thicker or a better quality metal????… The laser is a handy item to have but on my tool the laser is to wide and you cant see my guide line it needs to be a pencil line. But apart from the problems I’ve experienced the tool has a powerful quiet motor and with the blade sorted will make an awesome tool in any bodies workshop. I would like to get in contact with Worx customer services and see what they have to say about this fault I don’t understand how they can test these tools themselves and not get the same results as most of us are getting.
I hope my review helps and happy shopping and stay safe..
Simo
Good for price
Total DIY novice and not particularly dexterous so really all power tools are not really my forte , but I did find this light and quite easy to use any issues such as the blade getting stuck in the wood and any inaccuracies is all down to my developing skills …. basically if I’m happy with it , it must be dece
Very portable
Great little portable saw. Remember if your cutting thin wood to adjust the depth gauge as it will stick half way through the cut. I would recommend the worx brand as their tools always meet my expectations.
Great products
Really enjoy using this product as it’s lightweight and more accurate than past circular saws I’ve used. Would definitely recommend. I used this with clamps and a straight edge to but long strips off almost any material.
easy to use
This is a well balanced tool and fits the hand and comfortable to use.
Powerful mini saw
Powerful mini circular saw. Perfect for diy enthusiasts. I would recommend
Brilliant for diy projects
I like the fact that its easy to handle and not to heavy to use with one hand
perfect little thing..
I’ve used it for pluming for wooden flooring, for chasing cables in, perfect little tool, highly recommend
Recommended
Really good and handy tool for any DIY project. Cuts well and smooth. Whenever wood is more than 2inch then gonna be a problem. It’s my first time ever saw and done my 40 feet long fence and one small sitting sofa successfully. I would say it’s brilliant for DIY work.
Easy to use - hard to bea
It’s light and surprisingly powerful to use one handedly. Fairly rips through wood – suggest you get a finer cut blade as well and you’ll be happy as Larry.
Just right for my requirement.
Perfect tool for handy jobs, the cut is accurate and the tool is the right size to handle comfortably.
Saw
Great bit of kit, being promising myself one for ages .
it's a learning curve to get decent performance.
when I first started using this saw I got OK cuts if you’re not a professional, just a tiny bit off square. also even going thru something as basic as regularised 3”x2” I wasn’t making thru in one pass. the saw would kick up in the last few millimetres. keeping on the line you wanted wasn’t easy either.
HOWEVER, at some point I doubled the effort I applied in pushing the saw downwards and stopped trying to advance forward in the cut. keeping the plate down is obvious but it’s not always clear that you haven’t got it touching everywhere. push down more, the kicking up stops, it goes thru in one pass and you finally get a precise cut with a clean face.
hope this helps someone out there.
Brilliant saw for one handed accurate cutting!
I wanted a saw for long cuts and cross cuts. I have a sliding mitre saw but it is limited to 10″ cuts, and I debated getting a full sized circular saw as they have more power, but in truth I don’t need a big saw all the while, and I don’t like the fact that unless they have soft start, bigger saws tend to do a sideways ‘kick’ as the motor starts.
I did lots of reviewing and product matching, and ended up getting this on a deal for 90….
The Result? This saw is easy to hold in one hand, and can cut through wood nice and straight thanks to the switchable laser on top.
Bottom line; this is a great saw that seems very capable, and not too big to make it scary or hard to handle.
Recommended!
Brilliant saw
One of the best Tools I have bought well recommended. Thank
Grea
Great little saw, lightweight and easy to use. Well worth buying
Blade lock not perfec
Very easy to use and reliable. Only issues are the locking nut has to be tightened after every sheet of timber otherwise it just stops cutting. So would hate to use it all day! Fine for DIY
Great bit of ki
Really good little machine. Real simple to use and cuts real well. Perfect for the DIY jobs.
very good tool
I needed this for a project and have found it easy to use very good tool to use
WORX WX423
I was a little unsure about ordering this saw as some of the reviews were concened about it being unable to cut in a straight line. With a length of wood as a straight edge clamped to my mdf boards and the saw running up the side of it as a guide the saw has cut accurately and straight every time. No sign of running off or the saw sticking in the cut. I’m very pleased with its performance.
Easy to use
Great item, used it for cutting all my laminate flooring, cut with ease and left very clean edges
Useful addition to a handyman’s tool ki
Great tool this. I’m only using it for rough sawn at the moment so can’t vouch for its fine cutting. I would probably use something else for that anyway. Can’t fault it for speed and handiness.
I have the WX427 XL 700W WORXSAW and have read the tales of woe other reviewers have related here. I have only cut wood using the machine and I have only used the wood blade that came in the box. My own experience of this saw is quite positive. This saw is incredibly light weight, the blade is very thin and creates minimal saw dust. I have had very accurate cuts using it.
However, like most users I tried to use the saw like I use my 1800W circular saw and indeed I too found the blade wandered from true even when using a straight edge as a guide. At first I thought this was because my hand pushing the saw with the blade at full depth of the work piece through the cut was positioned behind the blade and that the slightest deviation from the straight edge by me would result in an unsatisfactory cut. The blade jammed. In fact the blade did slip on one occasion. I was cutting 18mm birch ply. Whilst the blade is sharp and the machine turns fast, it does not have the same torque as my 1800W circular saw, nor should I expect it to. The vibration feedback will using the machine told me I was pushing it machine or blade beyond its limits cutting this material.
I then adjusted my technique. Instead of trying to achieve the cut in one single pass I found I could achieve accurate cuts running the blade depth at half depth using a straight edge as a guide. Allowing the blade to cut without pushing the machine too hard, the forces and vibration acting on the blade and the machine were noticeably less. Running the next pass with the blade just past full depth of the work piece resulted in sharp clean cuts on both the topside and underside of the work requiring very little with a hand plane.
Using this technique I have consistently achieved good clean accurate cuts of over 2.4 metre lengths, requiring very little corrective work if any and was able to complete all my cuts through the birch ply to build the sides, doors and drawers for a wardrobe.
I have found 1″ thick MDF can be cut in a single pass with no issues or defects.
When cutting timber like pine shelving boards, again I found no issue. Cutting 2″ x 4″ framing timber may need the multi-pass approach if the wood is knotty and you are looking for a precise cut.
If you try to twist the machine in the cut, the blade will jam. If you nip the blade in the cut between the work piece sides without supporting them properly, the blade will jam. This is after all a 700W machine.
I have no particular brand loyalty and pick machines on their merits. This particular saw is very good for light work where a 1800W brute would do more damage than good. Used with a straight edge guide and clamping everything down safely, clean crisp cuts can be achieved consistently.
Pay attention to the material you are cutting, plan the cuts properly and with a little time and understanding of the behaviour and performance of the machine which can only come with experience, you can achieve good cuts with this machine.
One last thing, I do not rely or have ever used the laser. It was setup in a factory and shipped, then delivered. It is not unreasonable to expect the laser to be out of alignment.
Was impressed
Bought this to cut floor tiles when laying new kitchen floor. Was a little sceptical about buying a combined tile/wood saw rather than a specific tile saw. But figured being a keen woodworker I would get more use from this once I finished the tiling. Cut 17 full width cuts on 333x333x9mm ceramic floors tiles, plus a few smaller cuts on a single blade. Was very impressed with the ease at which the saw went through the tiles. Admittedly it does now need a new blade, the last couple of cuts took a little longer. Still not bad going. Have yet to try on wood, will use on sheet material most likley, will update review when I do.
Product Was Amazing , Great effort By Selle
The Product Delivered Amazing, The Communication was great, I really appreciate the effort of selle
Just the job
Wish I’d have bought this product years ago. Have ben using it to cut to size 12mm laminate flooring and it makes the job so much easier than with a hand saw. Sharp, fast and easy to use.
Handy and lightweigh
Great for most DIY jobs as an alternative to heavy full size circular saws.
Nice tool
Brilliant piece of kit, laser is an added bonus, makes cutting easier and quicker. Nice tool
Not exactly a feather weight but lots better than a full size saw. It’s a handy sized tool that gets the job done. Previous comments about its accuracy are a little unfair. I’ll concede that the guide isn’t properly square straight out of the box, but it doesn’t take much to align it by bending the bracket a wee bit. However, if you clamp a piece of straight scrap timber to your work piece, the framework runs true when either using it for left or right hand cuts. So far I’ve had no problems whatsoever with this efficient little tool. I assume that it is aimed at the average DIYer and not for heavy duty professional use. I would recommend this to any skilled DIY tog. Always remember that this is a serious tool and not to be abused, ALAWAYS follow the safety instructions!
Great tool and very easy to use.
This is the best hand tool I have purchased in many years.
Very pleased with my addition to my tool kit.
Good quality tool at the right price.
This saw is ideal for cutting sheet wood and floorboards in situ.
There is a slight kickback but can be eliminated after a bit of practice when lowering onto timber.
Has been used several times where a full size circular saw would have been difficult.
Good tool, good buy.
A great little tool
I need to get better at using this as it doesn’t roll through the wood in quite the butter like way I had envisaged but that is more to do with my technique than the tool. I am a very basic DIYer and bought this to cut through a load of pallets and scrap wood and I have to say its a great little tool.
I did have cramp in my hand the other day from using it but I had been using it for the guts of 40 mins so to be expected. I would recommend this definitely.
Love these little saws
This is the second one I’ve bought. I’ve marked it down for accuracy because the screw in fence thing it comes with is pretty poor and because the blade is small it doesn’t keep itself on a straight line like a full size one might.
They are however really portable, make a nice cut, aren’t stupidly loud and the dust extraction even works a bit.
I’ve built this second one into a pair of guide rails to make a mini track saw to cut sheet materials down on a vertical frame and it works perfectly.
It’s powe
Cutting bottom of doors after fitting carpets . Cut them very quickly and very neat , no rough edges .
A Master Machine
It did all it said it would. Don’t think about buying it get it. As it will come in handy at some time and you will appreciate i
An excellent tool, easy to use.
A lot less cumbersome than a circular saw and more accurate cut than a jigsaw. Easy to use and results so far have been really pleasing. I would really recommend having one of these in the tool box for the amateur diyer.

Great little tool , easy to handle
Bought it yesterday and used it today , used it to cut up some 8×4 sheet 12 mm thick , it had no problem whipping through it
Unless you’ve got a bag don’t put the exhaust outlet on it as it blows up in the air and near to your face if your bent over watching the cut . Well pleased with it on the whole perfect for the jobs I’ve needed it o
Great little saw
Very good product no fuss saw great fr small & big jobs looking forward to many a happy hour in tha garage
Probably as good as it gets
Quite a chunky tool which was not uncomfortable or hard to hold. Slightly disappointed with the accuracy, ended up clamping a betten to use as a guide as it is easy to wander from a straight line making a freehand cut. Coped with chipboard loft flooring if careful to keep a straight cut but did tend to struggle if I wandered off the straight and true. Having only a short base plate did not seem to help. Still pleased with this tool and look forward to trying it on mild steel sheets and other types of wood which I think will give a better result and an easier cut.
Really impressed
Excellent item. I bought it to cut boards while I’m flooring my attic as there’s not a lot of space and I didn’t want to go up and down the ladder constantly.
This does the job perfectly, there’s very little vibration and it’s simple to use one handed. Much easier than a handsaw!
Super useful multi blade tool
I’m so happy I bought this tool. Its such a time saver when needing to make quick cuts.
Its important to know that the blades on this toolk are quite thin therefore I only recommend this as a multi tool for quick jobs where accurancy isn’t super important.
I use this tool to supplement my existing drop saw, diamond cutter and tile cutter. For example I used this when cutting fence panels or cutting wooden battons down to size as accurancy isn’t too important. I wouldn’t be using this to cut a kitchen worktop or a gravel board (with the supplied stone cutting disc).
The lazer light was useful to follow my marked line and easy to use one handed, the guide worked as expected. I have not tried the stone cutting disc but imagine it would struggle.
Handy small circular saw
A very handy tool. Lightweight to lift and is great for those smaller quick jobs. The take off of sawdust is far better than expected so minimal clearing up afterwards. Have tried this saw on wood up to 18mm, including laminate with no problem. Was concerned about some reports of jamming, but if you let the tool do the work it is absolutely fine! Marked down on accuracy as free hand cutting slightly wanders due to the size of the blade, so would recommend using a guide – cuts are straight and accurate with the guide. Second worx tool purchased and well pleased with purchase.
Handy but DIY only
Handy tool. I’ve cut some limestone slabs, it required a straight edge guide to prevent wondering and it would only take cuts of 5mm depths. The motor still got very hot. DIY only not a tool for trade use!
Great price much cheaper than the shops
I used this to cut up pallets etc it’s fab ,just be car Full it sometimes kicks back but yes it’s a great tool for your toolbox
How to use the saw correctly
Ability to use the saw using the guide to give an accurate cut.
Saw used to cut slot in ceramic tiles.
Nice to handle
The lines are always off especially the 45 and the laser seems to turn itself on and runs out of battery power instead of hard wired to the appliance. Overall good little tool and good power loads better than the larger type to get a straight accurate line.
Smashing little saw
Ideal for cutting tongues off T&G floorboards. There are a couple of variations of this saw, make sure you get the right one! I found the laser on mine helped greatly when steering a straight line along the boards with the odd cut-nail trying to upset the base. Being right-handed I found it a little awkward when needing to be used left-handed, but that is not really the fault of the tool.
Good quality and powerful machine
I had a different brand mini circuit saw before. I used for everything and went wrong after 2years. This worx is much powerful then my previous saw and runs smoother. The build quality is good and feels good.
There are two sizes of this worx saw
I like worx products but was slightly disappointed when I saw (no Pun) this model cheaper elsewhere
Quality built, easy to use.
Good product, does exactly what it is made to do.
Lovely saw
When cutting an hole out for a sink the saw seems to jump when it comes in contact with the wood
A very handy tool to have
A great little tool to help with verity of jobs , I’ve cut tiles , wood , copper pipes, 1.5 mil aluminium sheet and plastic , it’s been great but I feel it’s slightly under power for the size of the moto
does what it says
I had cheaper battery one (different make) absolutely rubbish every time you tried to cut the blade stopped.
I have used this one several times to cut kitchen worktops lovely tool pleasure to use no more burning an cutting out very surprised
Bit of a pain to put back in box but maybe all power tool designers use the same person to make box lol
Great safe and precise
I wanted a small powered saw for doing DIY and hobby items such as making planters etc, and felt like a full size circular saw was a bit too much for the job. I’m glad I found this as it is really manageable and feels alot safer than a full size saw. Its easy to handle and I find it very precise with its cuts. There is a depth adjustment on there too which helps if you don’t want to cut as deep. I actually used the adjustment to make it just enough to cut through plasterboard when I was taking out a large section of it and it worked very well indeed.
It’s a very good item and I am sure you will like i
Cuts through flooring without taking up.
Wow, what can I say? My hubby bought this as we needed some flooring moved, this was perfect as he didn’t have to pull up the whole room, he was able to saw through the existing pieces. Fab piece of kit. Highly recommend.

Great bit of ki
I bought this on special price it’s a great bit of kit and every workshop should have one
Quick and easy light to use instead of getting the big circular saw out it has a great cutting depth
Excelle
My partner likes to potter about in his ‘man shed’ and after several hints I treated him to this. He has no complaints and he loves it (and so does the squirrels and birds in the garden for whom he has made houses from with the saws help 🙂
portable saw.
his saw is the dogs bo*****s,its awesome cuts through wood like a knife through butter, very easy to hold and control, loving it,made easy work of building raised beds for the garde
