I bought this as a replacement for a heavily used shredder, used for shredding 20+ tall conifer trees in the garden last summer, and subsequently now not as sharp as it used to be, after having used both sides (reversible). It took 5 minutes to replace and I have now started cutting down some more overhanging trees and the old shredder (with new blade) is back working as new again. Very pleased!

La spedizione velocissima come da prassi, la lama essendo originale di ottima fattura, si consuma l affilatura forse un po troppo velocemente, ma ci ovviamente dipende da cosa tagliate, piccoli rametti e erabacce una lama vi basta per tutta una vita, nel mio caso rami molto spessi ma la compattezza del biotrituratore bosch sicuramente un punto a favore.

A doddle to fit and done in minutes. I love the fact that these are double sided thus increasing the blades life. New blades make all the difference. I shall make sure I have a spare in future. Though it is a shame they do not have a very long life.

What I discovered when I opened the packet (one of those vacuum packed jobbies that you need a saw to get into) is that the original blade is two sided and you can therefore get another couple of year’s use out of it before needing the new one. But the new blade is very very sharp. Cut myself getting it out of the packet. Maybe I’ll just set fire to the packaging next time.

it works, i tried sharpening the old ones, but i think the balance might damage the bearing, i would prefer Bosch sharpening them rather than waste the blade each time, but modern society seems to be throw away

Excellent double sided blades
It was only when I purchased this replacement that I realised that the blades for the Bosch 2200 are double sided so by reversing the original I’ve got another season’s shredding. I’ve kept this as a future replacement. Good value product which shreds to small chips.

I've got my shredder back!
Wow. What a difference it makes to have sharp blades! The wood put through the shredder after fitting a replacement blade was genuinely “chipped” as it should be. Of course, that is the effect you’d expect from a decent shredder, so all I’m saying is that the blades I purchased are the real deal. Time will tell how well they last, but there is every indication that these are genuine Bosch quality spares.

J’en tais presque changer de broyeur tant mon bose 2200 me dcevait aprs une bonne saison… Lorsqu’en le dmontant pour un nettoyage de la dernire chance j’ai vu que la lame tait rversible et facilement changeable. Cette pice l’air d’origine et je ferai attention aux pierres. Le constructeur devrait tre plus clair, mme si c’est vident !

Went down to my local machine sales they were going to cost me double, with Amazon it was free postage, I bought two for the autumn clean up of my trees and shrubs, I use all the cuttings as mulch, they come in quality Bosch packaging with a replacement bolt.

It could be easy for some to overlook that these blades are reversible, so once you wear out one side you only need to turn it over and use the other side before needing a replacement.

Ich habe mir den Hcklser (lteres Modell gebraucht fr 90 gekauft. Sehr gutes Gert. Suchte eine Hcksler fr alles (ste und Grnschnitt). Schaute auch nach Leise- bzw. Walzenhcksler. Der gnstigere ist und bleibt der Messerhcksler in der Anschaffung, Dafr brauch man hat fters mal ein neues oder geschrftes Messer. Beim Walzenhksler (Namhafte Hersteller ab 200 Neupreis) denkt man dann doch noch mal nach.
Unser Hcksler schafft auch ohne Probleme Laub und anders Material, nur trocken muss es sein. Sonst gibt es Verstopfung.

A bargain at this price – you can pay a lot more (elsewhere on Amazon) for the one described as “Laser Cut” but they are one and the same item. Bosch have told me:
both numbers are actually for the same thing, and are laser cut.

F016800276 is the part number of the packed accessory blade, which is the packed version of 2608635492 and can be bought as an accessory.

This blades price is the very best I could find on the Web. It was delivered expediently and fitted in a snap. As with other reviewers, it’s a shame the blade doesn’t last longer and cannot be reground to an acceptable level.

Ich benutze seit vielen Jahren einen Rapid 2200. Voriges Jahr habe ich einen neuen Rapid 2200 inkl. Ersatzmesser bei Amazon gekauft. Whrend frher die Ersatzmesser schneller verschlissen als das eingebaute Messer, hat das diesmal mitgelieferte Ersatzmesser wesentlich besser als das Originalmesser gehalten. Allerdings war das Messer dieses Mal in einer Originalverpackung

Great blade if used properly
Great blade if you have common sense. Only shred fresh cuttings as wood hardens very quickly once cut. Don’t be too ambitious with bigger branches, keep bigger stuff for the fire. Avoid soil and pebbles as these will blunt blade instantly. I do garden clearouts and get a whole season from one blade. Sharpening them isn’t very effective, better to avoid blunt ending them in the first place. Brilliant shredder!!!!

Perfect for the Bosch Shredde
Genuine Blade, comes complete with replacement bot and washer. Simple to replace instructions. Delivery was excellent. I haven’t fitted it yet, as the one in the shredder isn’t dull edged yet and it will need turning over to use the other edge before it needs replacing.
I bought it now because the Shredder is such a brilliant design, I did not want to find that it was no longer available when I do need it.

Revived our shredde
Fabulous idea that one can purchase a new blade for the shredder so easily. We’ve had ours for three years. We turned the blade each year & last year we tried sharpening the initial blade. However the new blade works a treat!
I was really pleased to find that Bosch had not changed the blade size on their newer models and this blade fitted my old 180 AXT. I had some difficulty removing the bolt and needed to purchase a 6mm T-handled Allen key for the purpose to create sufficient leverage. I did apply PlusGas aerosol and left it overnight – using BlueTac to create a little well to hold it in (the shredder had to be tilted to keep the well level).
Competitive price and delivery.
It’s not as if you have a choice about ordering these parts, if you have a Bosch shredder. So this review is not about the part itself (and if it were, I’d give a lower rating, because they have a shockingly short service life and cannot be re-sharpened). The review has to be about customer service aspects and they were faultless. The price (whilst still high) was competitive and the parts certainly appear to be properly-packaged Bosch originals, supplied with fixings. The delivery was prompt (even just before Christmas). Unfortunately, the weather has been too bad to use them yet, but I don’t think Amazon controls that … yet.

Schnelle Lieferung, das Produkt schneidet wie die Wutz, leider verschleit es recht schnell (Astabschnitt von zwei Apfelbumen und ein wenig abgeblhte Pflanzen) , Das Messer lsst sich schnell ausbauen und mit der Flex ist es ruckzuck nachgeschliffen und wieder einsatzbereit. Somit sind die Kosten garnicht so schlimm, wie manche schreiben. Ich wrde es wieder kaufen.

I love my shredder like no other garden tool ever! And when it started to lose it’s ooomhp as the blade blunted, life was never quite the same. I turned the blade over, but it was never that sharp on the second side. Enter new blade and we are back to the glory days for less than 15!! Never again will I struggle on with a blunt blade.

Ich habe einen Bosch AXT 200 Rapid, auch fr dieses Modell passt das Messer.
Das erste Messer habe ich einige Male nachgeschliffen (mit der Flex), allerdings nie mehr die Erst-Schnittqualitt erreicht. Durch die anderen Rezensionen wei ich jetzt, dass nur die Oberflche gehrtet ist, nicht das ganze Metall. Und so erklrt sich auch, warum Nachschleifen nur bedingt und sehr kurzfristig Besserung bringt.
Das neue Messer schneidet wie der Teufel, die ste (viel Weidenholz) werden frmlich reingezogen und sauber zerschnibbelt.
Wie lange das geht hngt sicher von der Belastung ab. Darber kann ich nach erst einem langen Arbeitseinsatz nichts sagen.
Daher einstweilen 5 Sterne.

We were about to take our bosch shredder to tip as nothing would feed through.I was browsing on net and found this blade ordered it and we have been happy with the use we have been able to get out of our unit. I would recommend.

We have had a Bosch AXT rapid 2200 for a few years and it does a huge amount of shredding so each year we change the blades. These are excellent and as they are double sided you get two blades in one.

I have not used my replacement blade yet but on the basis of first experience, I’ll probably need one new blade a year, or less. Don’t try sharpening the blade yourself; it does not seem to work well. Maybe a lawnmower repair shop can regrind them once, but the gap is critical to correct operation of the shredder, and grinding it down would change that.

Not the cheapest replacement blade, but it was delivered quickly and so far is shredding garden waste well. I avoid shredding hard woody material and hope this will prolong the life of the blade.

Boch shredder blade.
I have had my rapid shredder for a number of years and a few replacement blades. These blades are of a heavy construction that allows considerable resharpening between replacement. It is difficult not to get the occasional stone in the shredder and being able to resharpen the blade is essential.

I was a little bit concerned at having to pay quite a lot for a replacement blade so quickly, as I felt I didn’t get much mileage from the orignal one packaged with the shredder. However, it feels like this one had lasted a lot longer, in fact I’ve only used one side so far after a significant amount of shredding, and probably have a bit of life left in it yet.
Easy to replace, just make sure your wear gloves obviously.

Bought the shredder and within 2 days the blade needed turning over and then within 2 days the branches wouldn’t feed through. Thought I had made a big mistake in buying this shredder but once I got a new blade all was ok again.. It seems a crazy mistake for Bosch to make their shredder look so bad by selling them with blunt blades. It is worth getting new ones and this was the best price I could find at the time with a quick delivery.
Worth the money
Although it might look expensive for a lump of steel, a new blade in your garden shredder is really worth the money. Shredders rely on a fast-spinning, sharp blalde to do their job properly. Put a new blade into a shredder that you’ve had for a couple of years and you’ll be surprised how easy it is to shred things again. Big stuff vanishes without being pushed and leaves get chopped up into small bits again. Sharp blades cut better, so you get less jams and won’t burn the motor out as quickly.
I used to sharpen my shredder blade on an oil stone but I could never get it as sharp as the original, laser cut blade. I realised this the first time I flipped the blade over and started to use the other side. I spray some WD-40 onto the blade, after I’ve used the shredder, to stop the blade from rusting.
Yes it’s quite a bit of cash for a lump of steel but they’re double sided and they make shredding easy again.

Purchased as spares so not yet used. Delivery very quick (within 3 days of ordering). Bosch product so expect performance to be good.
Blade works well on most types of materials and appears to have a reasonable working life. Bosch state that the blade cannot be resharpened but we sharpened it and got a bit more life out of it. The shredder is a good product and we would recommend it to others.

Good solid blade that lasts well, AND is reversable so when finally blunt on one side, simply turn blade over for new sharp shredding. ***NB*** Make sure no stones ever get dropped in to the shredder as they will blunt the blade in seconds.

Having priced this replacement from the manufacturer I googled the item and this price was the most competitive I could find.The item came the next day and was fitted that evening and was shredding my garden waste, works perfect and is east to replace by any DIYer.
If you have a Bosch AXT Rapid garden shredder and it struggles to chomp up your garden trimmings and/or continually jams then the chances are it needs a new blade. The blade is double sided so make sure that you’ve already turned it over once before replacing it. I did give the old (original) blade a bit of a sharpen with a grinder but the edge was pretty chewed up and so didn’t last very much longer.
This is a genuine Bosch blade. It was cheaper than anyone else including ebay and as always even with Amazon’s free delivery it arrived within a few days of ordering. I’d have given it five stars were it not for the fact that I’d be happier if the blades just lasted longer or even forever. I’m getting fed up with the fact that everything these days is designed to be used then thrown away. Oh well, enough ranting. Happy shredding.
