While it works well on my Silver Volkswagen but it does not on neither my Red 2011 Morgan +4 nor the 1973 Series III Landrover. Interestingly both use identical latch/lock mechanisms with only the outside handles different. Advice: Check that your vehicle has a U shaped catch similar to the one in the photograph.
Can be used when getting on or out of the car. Amazing product if you have elderly parents
so glad i got this, i have arthritis in my hips and have trouble getting in and out of the car, this is a big help, I highly recommend it.
Absolutely great. In my case I have long term bandages on my legs plus stiff knees. This lets me get out of the car single handed without the backs of my legs touching the sills area. Worth every penny.
I finally caved in and bought this for getting out of my car. I definitely manage much better with it – I have hip and knee issues and this makes life a little bit easier for me. Very simple to use.

Very easy to use clips into the hoop on the door jam. Has a windscreen breaker and seat belt cutter built in to escape after a crash and a flashlight.
5* seller. Whilst item wasn’t suitable for our vehicle the proactive comms from seller and resolution process was great.
Really good, sturdy product but metal prong is too fat to fit into the catch on a 2016 Ford fiesta. Had to return.
Bought to help my elderly father get out of the passenger seat of my car. Does a good job.
Only concern is that I could easily push my car door shut, forgetting it is there. A fluorescent handle would make it even better!

Purchased to replace one left in car that was stolen. Still an excellent idea, but doesn’t fit properly into newer cars. The stem is about 2mm too thick.
Dad had a stroke and finds it hard to get in/out of the car. He didn’t want me to waste my money on this .. but now he asks for it to be ready before he starts towards the car!

Although I haven’t had reason to use the additional features this standing aid has already proved its’ worth when my elderly, arthritic Mother is getting in and out of the car. When not in use it stores neatly in the passenger door pocket.
Great product might be beneficial to have a rubber protector at pointed end to avoid scratches on paintwork but would highly recommend
Excellent grab handle that fits in the door locking staple. Helps my disabled wife get in and out of the car a lot easier. Additional uses like belt cutting and window breaking are a welcome addition for emergencies.
Item is a god send for my father in law.
